Medium:
This is our most popular shade. When exposed to the sun your skin will tan very easily and in most situations you will not burn. You probably do not have skin sensitivity issues. Your neutral or warm undertones will look beautiful in our minerals!
Medium Light – Cool to Neutral Undertones
Medium – Neutral Undertones
Celebrities that best fit this shade:
Pamela Anderson
Jennifer Aniston
Tan:
Our Tan shade is for you if you have Medium/Dark, Tan, or Olive skin tones. All season long your skin will maintain at least a medium tone, but most likely will stay tan. In the summer months your skin will darken up very quickly and very easily. Most likely you will have dark brown or black hair.
Light Tan – Medium Dark Neutral Undertones
Medium Tan – Warm Golden Undertones
Celebrities that best fit this shade:
Jessica Alba
Eva Longoria
Jennifer Lopez
I have Light Tan, Fairly Tan, Medium and Medium Light in mineral powder foundations.
Though all blend with the skin and give a good match..Fairly Tan and Medium are a perfect match..Light Tan also works for contouring..
These take a few minutes to blend in with the skin..and then once set..they look super natural and stay for a good 5-6 hours even with humidity..the coverage is medium though..you can layer up for more coverage..a touch of concealer and mineral foundation on top and you would set for everyday I suppose..
These come in sifter jars and have quite a lot of product ! A little goes a long way with mineral foundations..
From top-bottom : Light Tan, Fairly Tan, Medium and Medium Light
Sheer Perfection Mineral Finish – Translucent: A super luxurious powder that will perfect your look. It is the final touch that will make your skin exceptional. Your face will feel as soft as silk, and look even better. Go crazy with this finishing powder! You’ll love it!
This is the setting cum finishing powder..its super soft..and actually feels smooth as silk..though this is white..so one needs to be careful with the quantity..so that you don’t get a whitish cast..but it sure does keep oil and shine at bay..one of the ingredients being rice powder !
Warm Kiss Mineral Bronzer: Everyone’s favorite! Soft, sheer, subtle sunkissed glow. Create the illusion of radiant, sun-kissed skin! Use as a healthy looking complexion booster, blush, cheek contour, eye shadow or lip color. Our Sheer Mineral Enhancers are light, natural and are perfect for color adjustments to your foundation.
This is the best bronzer I have come across ! A very natural looking terracotta rosy brown with some pearlescent shimmer..which is hardly visible..this would look gorgeous both as a blush and bronzer..and would give that softest sun kissed look possible !
This is a lot of quantity and would last super long..its quite pigmented..and like all mineral powders, the staying power is awesome too..
Here are the swatches..
These mineral foundations come with a slender kabuki brush..it is so super soft and dense..perfect to carry along..I have washed it 1-2 times and it did not shed much hair except 1-2..I love how soft it is..and picks up the perfect amount..

Sheer Cover Mineral Makeup Kit Review, Swatches
The post is ‘Image Heavy’
What the Company claims: “Sheer Cover® minerals are 100% natural, infused with skin-soothing botanicals, natural sun protection, and anti-aging green tea to protect your skin from premature aging – meaning you won’t find any oils, perfumes, dyes or talc – ensuring it is gentle and not irritating on your skin. Pure mineral pigments lay on top of your skin to provide extraordinary coverage, while mica reflects light to minimise the look of fine lines and give you a sheer, flawless finish. The minerals work with your skin’s natural oils to make imperfections seemingly disappear instantly, without looking thick, “cakey” or dull. The result is a natural look that lasts.”

Most of us would have seen the Sheer Cover ads on TV..when I was offered to try it out, I thought why not..lets see if it holds up to all those claims..
I have the Medium Kit.
Starting with the Conditioning Cleanser, here are the instructions and ingredients..
The cleanser is a clear gel like..its not a face wash but a makeup cleanser or remover essentially..though they mention it can be used as a face wash..it does not foam..works well for removing Sheer Cover or mineral makeup..heavy makeup or waterproof mascara, etc would not come off with this..kinda ok.
Next is the Nourishing Moisturiser with SPF 15..here are the instructions and ingredients..
Its a thick white moisturiser..takes some time to absorb..this is meant more for dry skin..oily skin would find this a little heavy..
Base Perfector or a Primer..its a slender small tube with a nozzle tip and is clear just like a primer..has that silicony effect..but this actually makes makeup go smoother, stay on longer and helps minimize pores..love this primer.
Foundation, Concealer, Contour brush and Pocket Kabuki
The concealer brush and kabuki are excellent..the concealer brush is just perfect, stiff, reaches the corners, does not shed hair..the pocket kabuki is like super cute, soft, fits in the palms of your hands. This can be your travel accessory for all your pressed powders too..it is surely going into my handbag 😉 The contour brush is kinda good..foundation brush is a little scratchy..
Concealers
I have the Medium/Tan shade..It is available in Light/Medium, Medium/Tan and Tan/Dark..you get 2 concealer pots of 1.5 g each which makes it 3g..one separately and one as a part of the travel pot (which btw, looks quite similar to the Laura Mercier Under Cover Pot)..where in the concealer is on the top and a small sifter jar at the bottom where you can add in your foundation shade or mix the two and carry only this along wherever you want to and you need not carry everything separately. Though one shade is a little light..I mix and adjust the two…the concealers are super creamy and pigmented..perfect for under eyes, blemishes, anywhere..stay on well..love them
Mineral Powder
It has 2 jars of mineral powders i.e 2 shades of 1.5g each..I have Golden and Almond..both are quite soft and silky and super blendable..may feel a little dry on application but soon sets on your face..it gives medium coverage and a natural look..and with concealers before, I guess its good to go for everyday use..but staying power is ok..no mineral powders stay very long in a humid place like Mumbai..
T- Almond B- Golden |
Mascara
The extra length Brown/Black Mascara is kinda ok..does not give any much of visible length but just the color..I like the subtle Brown/ Black shade..
Compact/ Color Sampler
It has a total of 7 things..2 lip glosses, 1 sheer lip cream, 1 cream eyeliner and 3 cream highlighters..the glosses are sheer and a little sticky but stay on well..the stickiness make them stay longer, give that pouty shine..the brown cream liner is super pigmented and rich dark cocoa brown (Cafe Mocha)..stays on well and does not transfer..love it ! And the best part, the cream highlighters..there is a frosty white (French Vanilla), baby pink (Pink Parfait) and a peachy shade (Melon Ice)..super love them..work for highlighting brow bone, inner corners, cheek bones..I love the different hues each shade has..looks fab !
And all of these come in a big black pouch with a brush holder on one side and the rest of the stuff on the other with separate sections for each..love the pouch.
It also comes with a Tips and Tricks DVD and an Application Guide.
So overall I love some stuff and some are just ok..Love the concealers, color sampler, concealer and kabuki brush, base perfector and lastly the mineral powders..
I am not sure if they have some discounts or offers on it in between..3495 is a little high, but if they do have discounts..then this is a must try..and there is so much of stuff going in there..
The kit can be bought HERE. They have Cash on Delivery too..Guthy Renker is their parent company and they also have an anti acne system called Proactiv which again most of you must have heard of..check it HERE
So, have you tried Sheer Cover? What did you like the most ??

The Body Shop Extra Virgin Minerals™ Loose Powder Foundation Review, Swatches
I have already reviewed the Cream Compact Foundation and Liquid Foundation from this range…so now moving onto the Loose Powder Foundation.
What the Company claims: This featherlight powder base gives a radiant, natural-looking finish and can be built up for extra coverage. It is non-comedogenic and suitable for sensitive skin
Buildable coverage
Radiant finish
Covers imperfections and fine lines
Dermatologically tested
Contains SPF 25
Directions: Tip the pot upside-down so a little powder is deposited in the lid. Work the powder into our Mineral Foundation Brush. Tap off the excess and apply to the face in circular motions. Reapply to build coverage.
Full Ingredients:
Mica (Opacifier), Titanium Dioxide (Sunscreen), Kaolin (Absorbent), Illite (Anticaking Agent). [+/- CI 77492 (Colour), CI 77491 (Colour), CI 77499 (Colour), CI 77891 (Colour)].
MRP: Rs. 1395/- for 5g
Shades Available: Eight
I have the same shade 208 Golden Vanilla as in Liquid and Cream Compact Foundation.
It comes in a normal jar packaging..but it has a sieve inside which is better for dispensing the product than the normal 4-5 holes in mineral foundation jars.
The loose powder foundation is very finely milled and very light in texture..this also makes it fly off more..every time you open it..so a lot goes waste.
Swatch |
It provides light coverage..you can use this with a concealer below..for days you do not want to cover much or want a light base. Keeps skin oil free for 4-5 hours…its suitable for sensitive skin too as it does not have any harmful ingredients..
Pros:
1. Very finely milled and has a soft silky texture.
2. I liked the sieve packaging…quiet convenient.
3. Good for days when you want a light base.
4. Travel friendly.
5. 5g is a huge quantity and would last long.
6. Has SPF 25.
7. Kaolin helps keep skin oil free.
8. Suitable for sensitive skin too.
9. 8 shades to match your tone.
Cons:
1. Lot of product flies off..causing wastage.
2. Expensive.
3. If you want heavy coverage or covering spots, etc..this would not help.
4. You need a kabuki brush to use this..a powder brush can also be used though..a kabuki is better for loose powder foundations..and you would need to purchase that separately.
Overall I found it decent enough..and good for people who need light coverage. I liked the Cream Compact Foundation the most from this range.
Rating:
Quality: 4/5
Value for money: 3.5/5

Would I buy it again: I don’t think so..I prefer more coverage.

Its a cream based foundation..perfect for the winters..and since it has kaolin clay..it can stay well in summers too and for those with oily skin too. It comes with a small stiff compact brush in the lower compartment and a small mirror on top..the packaging is quite handy and nice..you can comfortably carry it and get that perfect coverage any where..
The Liquid Foundation is oil based..so more suitable for dry skin..but this would suit all skin types…even if one has oily skin and this is cream based..the kaolin clay absorbs the oil and keeps skin matte.
It comes in 8 shades here..you get some 12 shades in US..I have 208 Golden Vanilla which matches me perfectly..here is the swatch of 208..
Before blending |
After blending |
Pros:
1. Super easy to use and blend. Just a few strokes with the brush and since the brush is soft yet stiff it reaches even the under eyes and corners properly.
2. Paraben and fragrance free.
3. Made from extra virgin olive oil and mineral pigments.
4. It gives medium to high coverage depending on how you build up..but even if used once..gives decent enough coverage.
5. Even though it contains kaolin clay..I do not find it drying..in fact the creaminess is fine.
6. This would suit all skin types.
7. Has SPF 15.
8. You do not realise you are wearing a foundation and it stays put the whole day !
9. It does not transfer on clothes or tissues.
10. Perfect packaging..can be used anywhere.
Cons:
1. I do not have any cons for it ! Only thing is one would not know how long would it last..like you can see the quantity but you would not exactly know.
Overall I super like it and recommend it to everyone ! One fabulous product..

MRP: Rs.1295/- for 28ml
Now it comes in around 12 shades in the US..but here only 4-5 shades are launched..and the names too are a little different..so its quite confusing..Eg: 202 is Warm Vanilla here and Natural Vanilla there..I am not too sure of there is difference in shades too.
I was confused between 202 Warm Vanilla and 208 Golden Vanilla as both are quite similar..I thought 208 would be a better match and went for it.
Now all the claims made for it are true..it is ultra blendable..and provides a dewy finish. Extra virgin olive oil and marula oil are its core ingredients..and you would immediately feel its oil based from the texture..I would not advice oily skinned girls to go for this..but still you can try this in winters if you love dewy finish.
It comes with a pump and is super handy to use and carry along. Since it is fragrance free..some people may not like the smell..It does not have any particular smell of its own.
Here is the swatch of 208 Golden Vanilla..it matches me perfectly..
Blended |
And here is how it looks on me..I have used just the foundation..no concealer or powder..so that you can get the idea of the coverage..
Pros:
1. Super easy to use and blend. Even fingers work fine.
2. Paraben and fragrance free.
3. Made from extra virgin olive oil and marula oil.
4. Gives a nice dewy finish.
5. Its quite moisturising and even if I skip a moisturiser it never goes streaky.
6. Perfect for dry skinned girls or using in winters.
7. Has SPF 30.
8. Light to medium coverage.
9. It does not transfer on clothes or tissues.
10. Feels very light on skin.
Cons:
1. You may not like it if you have very oily skin.
2. It has SPF 30..so needed to be blended well if you are going to be photographed to avoid a whitish cast.
3. It stays well if in a AC environment..if out in a humid weather you need to touch up with a powder.
Overall I do like this..especially in the winters..and also coz I like dewy finish.
