Oriflame The One Colour Unlimited Lipsticks Review,Swatches
What the Company claims:
MRP: Rs.499/- for 1.7g
Shades Available:8
Violet Extreme
Pink Unlimited
Mocha Intensity
Fuchsia Excess
Forever Plum
Endless Red
Always Cranberry
Absolute Blush
I am reviewing the shades Fuchsia Excess and Endless Red today.
It comes in a sleek and slender grey and black packaging..only disadvantage of this packaging is you always get lipstick on the edges when you swivel it up and down. Also, this type of packaging mostly has less qty of lipstick like this one has only 1.7g
These are very moisturising, you don’t need any lip balm of any sort with these. They have sheer to medium coverage and you will need 2-3 swipes for opaque coverage especially for pigmented lips.
These are very glossy and shiny and mostly all the shades are pink and plum based, so I assume this range is targeted more towards the younger category.
It stays for 2-3 hours and I am a bit disappointed with the staying power, reading the 10 hour claim, but very easy to use and touch up. It does not bleed or stain teeth and you can quickly apply it anywhere.
Fuchsia Excess is a pretty blue based fuchsia pink,no neon here, pure fuchsia pink
Endless Red is a wearable, not too bright, light apple red with some fine shimmer
Here is it on me..
Overall I would say these are nice lipsticks to try, very moisturising, glossy and comes in some lovely shades. If you are looking for something matte or long staying, these are not meant for you. Also, Oriflame lipsticks are mostly on discounts, so do keep a check on the catalog and buy them on discount as they are a bit expensive at Rs.499/- for the quantity of 1.7g

This time its a bright coral box, I love the color <3 I like the revised packaging since April where there is only one card with all the product details and not 5 different cards. This month’s box has two full sized products!
Let’s see what all I got..
Catrice Smokey Eye Pencil in Petroling In The Deep which is a deep sea green (Full size– Rs.365/-)
Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil (2 x 3ml each)
Hedonista Chocolate Face Soufflé- Full size (Rs.1650/- for 115g)
Estee Lauder Pleasures EDT sample vial
Natio Meditate Hand Cream– Deluxe Sample 20ml
I am in love with every product this time which is a part of the box, there have always been 1-2 products in My Envy Box every month which have been my favourites, but I like all the 5 products the first time :p
A full sized Catrice Eye Pencil, I love smokey eye pencils which are perfect for those 2 minute makeup days. I am quite excited to try this and might review this soon 🙂
I am currently using the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oil and Beautifying Cream. Though the original bottle is not that big to carry, but these 3ml vials are perfect for travel. I am loving the oil and these vials are definitely coming along with me, on my next trip 😀
Hedonista Chocolate Face Souffle is a chocolate and clay based mask, now who doesn’t love chocolate. Never tried this brand but the packaging and the mask look super yummy and nice.
Estee Lauder Pleasures is a classic, and I absolutely love its smell.
And lastly the Natio Meditate Pink Lotus Hand Cream which smells divine and works pretty well as a hand cream <3
Overall I would say this month’s My Envy Box is a total paisa vasool and I quite like it. Highly recommended! Get the June box now, if you haven’t yet placed the order. I received the box today and reviewing it today itself, so that you guys can place your orders 🙂

A new OOTD today..I wore this pretty red lips embroidered dress last Saturday when we went to Prime Time Sports Bar and also it was my niece’s 2nd birthday 🙂
I love how simple and effortless this dress is,yet glams you up instantly. I paired it with a simple gold choker necklace and a simple Daniel Wellington watch and a set of rings.
Completed the look with this black fringes bag and studded black ballerinas.
Since it was quite dark and the lighting was not that good, some pics look a bit harsh. Also, I am wearing the L’Oreal Paris 24H Powder Foundation and hence the whitish cast, see I told you.

Last week I went for the SP Luxe Oil Hair Spa Experiental at the Tesoura Salon at Bandra. A much needed hair pampering after a long, long time.
I was greeted with Lemon Iced Tea and the attendant explained me the entire hair spa process.
Steps:
1. She washed my hair at first with the System Professional Luxe Oil Keratin Protect Shampoo.
2. The she combined the System Professional Luxe Oil Keratin Restore Mask and System Professional Luxe Oil Reconstructive Elixir in 80:20 proportion and applied it all over my hair strand by strand.
3. She massaged my scalp and hair for 4-5 minutes.
4. Then hair was given a steam, towards the ends for 3-4 minutes.
5. Hair was washed again, only with cold water this time.
6. Then she blow dried my hair on medium blast and applied a few drops of the System Professional Luxe Oil Reconstructive Elixir.
About the products used:
1.System Professional LuxeOil Keratin Protect Shampoo: Gives light-weight, luxurious cleansing, also sets the foundation and gives shine + keratin protection. It provides lightweight luxurious cleansing that sets the foundation for a transforming hair service. The shampoo contains a special system of surfactants and boosting polymers that create creamy, long-lasting foam allowing even distribution of key ingredients on hair.
200 ml for Rs 995
2.System Professional LuxeOil Keratin Restore Mask: Instantly reconstructs hair fiber to improve hair texture and leave it soft to touch. With a special combination of three specially design polymers, and the luxurious oils, the mask provides a luxurious lightness that creates a “lubricating film” that is thin, even and elastic on hair surface and provides super low surface & inter fiber friction without greasiness.
150 ml for Rs.1095
3.System Professional LuxeOil Reconstructive Elixir: Luxurious hair oil which protects hair keratin and provides light-weight, long lasting smoothness. It protects the hair from drying out and gives additional shine. The fusion of oils infuses into the hair structure to transform hair from inside and out and protects the keratin, leaving instant and long lasting smoothness.
100 ml for Rs 2300
Duration: 45-50 minutes
Here is my before-after 😀
My hair felt super soft and smooth, frizz free and stayed that way for 3 days. I think it was an easy process and a deep conditioning hair spa like this can be even tried in the comfort of your home. You just need the shampoo, mask and serum. I am planning on splurging on these products, I already have the Reconstructive Elixir, would be trying the shampoo and mask soon.
What do you think of a hair spa? Do you do anything special for your hair?
P.S: Services were provided by the brand but that has not affected my opinion.
About the World Ethnic Day: World Ethnic Day is a day to celebrate the cultures of different countries together on a single day. In the digital world, “World is One” yet we all carry different identities represented by what we wear, eat, believe and celebrate. Lets come together and celebrate our diversity as “One World”. World Ethnic Day is a day of fun, dance, music, food and party in ethnic way. Lets go back to our roots and share with others our uniqueness. Lets be One. Lets be Ethnic.
Every country and culture has its own ethnicity and uniqueness. When it comes to India, its all colorful, pretty and larger than life, coz it is again not just one culture, but a mix of so many different cultures in one country. We have such diverse cultures but yet have some common nuances.
If we talk about a saree, most of the cultures in India have a saree but each have a different type, work, style of wearing or calling it. There is a Bengali way and a Gujurati way of wearing a saree. Then we have a Maharastrian navari, South Indian Kanjeevaram sarees, Banarasi Brocade sarees, etc.
It’s more of lehengas in the Northern India.
And these days, we all love our kurtis, churidars and salwars, and of course everyone’s favourite anarkali. It is easy and convenient to wear and be around with these and yet gives an ethnic and traditional touch and feel.
Not only clothing, we have diverse arts and crafts too. We have minakari and marble work, gemstones, tie and dye, crochet, wooden and brass handicrafts, block prints, chikankari, clay and pottery, etc.
Craftsvilla.com is celebrating 19th June as ‘World Ethnic Day’. I love the site and the amazing ethnic and traditional items it stocks, also I am happy that a website is actually celebrating Ethnic Day and it anyway helps a lot of local artisans to sell the products on Craftsvilla and gives them an easy, global platform. A nice way for the local people to reach globally and also gives them a new source of income.
Vidya Balan is the brand ambassador for World Ethnic Day and rightly so, she was the first in Bollywood of late to have adopted the saree trend and she wears all the traditional kanjeevarams, from her own wedding to award functions to the Cannes Film Festival, she took the Indian ethnic nine yards everywhere.
“By celebrating World Ethnic Day, we get an opportunity to go back to our roots. I feel strongly about the dying art of handlooms in the country, and also about the plight of artisans who are struggling for livelihood. I am delighted with the opportunity to spread awareness about it,” Vidya said in a statement.
“We are thrilled to have Vidya Balan endorse World Ethnic Day. There is tremendous synergy between her vision and ours. Vidya is a living ambassador for everyday ethnic. Her remarkable success and body of work stand testimony to ethnic is cool,” said Manoj Gupta, founder of Craftsvilla.com.

Today I am reviewing the shades 160 Sand Beige and 225 Beige of the Infalible Reno Powder Foundation. I am not sure why it is ‘Infalible’ instead of ‘Infallible’
To start with the packaging, the upper part is plastic and quite light. It comes in transparent crimson packaging with a see through cap. The lower part has a sponge and mirror which is something quite nice, as the sponge is in a separate compartment so it does not get mixed with the powder even if you use it wet and the mirror is so handy while travelling and for touch ups. Though I wish the packaging was a bit sturdier coz this might break, even if it falls down once.
The texture is very fine, though it is not the smoothest. It can be used wet or dry. I prefer using a brush when I am using it dry and the sponge it comes with when using it wet.
It gives light coverage when used dry and a little more medium coverage when used wet. It is completely matte and there would be no trace of shine on your skin when you use this. This will be a boon for people with oily skin.
Since I prefer dewy finish and I am not a fan of matte, I do not use powders often except for my T-zone. Also you will need to moisturise really well before using this, as it accentuates dry patches.
The main con for me is the white cast! 🙁 It gives a strong white cast, especially in photographs.
160 Sand Beige is supposed to be lighter than 225 Beige,as shown in the Shade Options available online. But somehow Sand Beige is a better match for me and 225 Beige appears lighter on me. Even in the swatches, Sand Beige is a little more yellow and that matches well with my skin tone.
Here I have used both 160 Sand Beige and 225 Beige wet with the sponge.
225 Beige is lighter and looks even more light with the whitish cast, as you can see.
I am not generally a fan of using powder foundations wet, unless you are out and don’t have any liquid foundation and are heading to a party or a function and need some coverage. I generally prefer using powders on them when for daily basis or as a setting powder.
It works well on its own and amazing as a setting powder, only when used wet, it gives a whitish cast which I don’t like. I would recommend the shade 160 Sand Beige for mostly all of us with medium skin tone and yellow undertone.
Overall, I would say it’s a nice powder foundation which is perfect for travelling and a boon for oily skin. It works really well as a setting powder too and also amazing for touch-ups. I would not recommend it for dry skin or if you want to use it wet.

What the Company claims: L’Oreal Professionnel’s HAIR SPA helps heal your hair from root to tip, so that your hair looks beautiful inside and out. Known for its hydrating and therapeutic properties, Water lily helps relieve pressure, for a soothing experience.

Shampoo claims and Directions to use:
Shampoo Ingredients:
Conditioner claims and Directions to use:
Conditioner Ingredients:
L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Spa comes in two variants: Deep Nourishing and a Detox range. This Deep Nourishing range has Water Lily extracts and is meant for dry hair and the Detox one is infused with tea tree oil for people with oily scalp and dandruff issues.
I have been using this L’Oreal Professionnel Hair Spa Deep Nourishing Range since 3 weeks now. I had a lot of expectations from this range after trying out and falling in love with the Absolut Repair Lipidium Range.
I love the bright blue packaging with the grey cap, it is very nice to look at and you can find out your shampoo from the lot in the bathroom :p The shampoo has a flip cap packaging and comes in this long, slender bottle and the conditioner comes in a tube packaging with a screw cap.
The shampoo is off white in color and runny in form, the conditioner is white and thicker. Both smell very refreshing, very close to soft, floral, water lily. A mix of aquatic and floral, I love the smell!
The shampoo foams really well and gets rid of all the oil and dirt in the hair within one wash. Quite impressed here. The hair is completely clean in one wash. If you have oily scalp, you will really like this. Even though this range is meant for dry skin, it is not heavy and creamy kind but very light.
The conditioner is hydrating but not very heavy,it won’t weigh down your hair. It is not the most hydrating conditioner out there, but does a decent job for someone with normal to dry hair, and would work perfectly for oily hair too. If you have very dry hair or prefer a heavy conditioner, then you would need something extra.
Hair remains soft, smooth and frizz free with this range for 2 days untill you wash next. There is no oiliness and no dryness. If you have drier ends, you will need to use a serum on the ends. Even though its meant for dry hair, it is not the deep hydrating kind, and that makes this range perfect for summers.
Price wise, they are decently priced and quite economical for the quantity. The bottles are huge and not travel friendly though. Also, the availability of the Professionnel range is an issue, and is only available on selected online sites or in salons.
Only downside is it has SLS and silicones, also I see ‘Mineral Oil’ 3rd in the Ingredients list in the Conditioner which I am not too pleased with.
Overall, I would say this range is good for summers and would work for all kinds of hair from oily to dry. It cleanses the scalp well and leaves the hair soft, smooth and frizz free. It is mild enough for everyday use too. If you have very dry hair, I would recommend the L’Oreal Professionnel Absolut Repair Lipidium Range. I would prefer using this range for summers and the Absolut Range for winters. If you have chemically treated or colored hair, I wouldn’t advise using this as it has SLS.

Philips recently launched their new range of epilators and you guys must have seen the new Alia Bhatt ad on TV, who is their brand ambassador.
Philips had epilators before i.e. the Satinelle range which had only one epilating head, they have relaunched them with the Satinelle Essential where there is a shaving head and a sensitive area cap and comes with 2 years guarantee with just 300 bucks extra.
They have come up with 3 different types of Essential epilators, one is the basic one for basic, dry use i.e. Philips Satinelle Essential BRE200. One with shaving head which is this one i.e. Philips Satinelle Essential BRE201 and one with shaving head, for wet and dry use and with skin stretcher system i.e. Philips Satinelle Advanced BRE210.
I am reviewing the middle one today which comes with a separate shaving head. All these new Philips epilators come with a 2 year guarantee which is quite nice.
I love the white and pink color, it has a white body with pink stars over it. It has just one setting and not much to figure out and super easy to use.
It is very small and handy. It comes with two different heads, one epilation head and one shaving head, one cord to plug in, one extra cover for sensitive areas and a small cleaning brush. A 2 year year guarantee card and an instruction manual alongwith. It mentions on the box that it also carries a handy pouch which was missing, not sure if it comes with it or no.
Since I have taken up the 30 days shaving challenge for my legs, I used the epilator on my hands. I was a bit scared but it went on pretty smooth and nice, did not hurt much. Only glitch I feel in general with epilators is you cannot really see what exact area the hair is removed or still remaining, I mean you have to wait for one complete round from top to bottom and get rid of the stuck stray hair to find out which hair is still not removed and have to go over it again. Since all epilators have a slightly round head, the side of the skin it goes on, generally get missed. Then, I tried the shaving head which is square and it was so awesome, I fell in love with it. It was super quick and easy to work with, no going over the same area again and completes the entire area from top to bottom in one go. In short, I am going to stick to the shaving head for a long time :p
It is very easy to clean and wash too, you can either use the small brush it comes with, or remove the head and wash that under flowing water. The heads can be easily removed and inter-changed by just pushing them towards the left.
Philips is eco friendly and hence I guess,it avoids battery and works on electricity, means you will have to be corded all the time you use the epilator. A little inconvenient coz you have to find a plug, keep the area in mind and avoid the wire coming in between your epilation, and with wet use, very difficult to use in the bathroom. Though the wire is quite long and was not much of an issue.
Coming to the price, it is quite cheap compared to other epilators in the market, almost 1/3rd the price. Its available on Flipkart HERE and keep an eye for discounts and offers and you can get it much cheaper.
Definitely worth investing in, also a perfect thing to carry along if you travel a lot or plan to go on a long holiday. And it comes with a 2 year guarantee, so once purchased, you are sorted for 2 years minimum, and more so depending on your usage.
So #BeReadyEveryday and #GoWowNow with the new Philips Epilators. Check out their facebook page HERE.

Vichy Liftactiv Supreme Cream Normal to Combination Skin Review
Vichy LiftActiv Supreme Progressive Anti-wrinkle and Firmness Correcting Care Cream For Normal to Combination Skin is the complete name. Phew, quite a mouthful it is!
What it claims: New scientific discovery: OVERDAY AGING – it is a biological and clinical reality that the skin ages during the day. How to apply: 1. Spread a touch of cream all over the face, the decolleté and the neck, avoiding the eye area.
2. Spread with upward smoothing strokes, from inside to outside. Smooth on gently until thoroughly absorbed.
MRP: Rs.2350/- for 50ml
It comes in a white jar with a mirror cap. I like that, you can apply it anytime, anywhere you are with the help of the mirror and it can help you in emergency touch-ups too 😀 Though it does not have an inner lid or seal and I would have preferred if it came with a small spatula.
I like the face that it comes in two different variants: for normal to combination skin and for dry skin.
I have combination skin and I have been using this normal to combination one for a little more than 2 weeks now. Its a white colored cream, not too thick but neither runny. It has a very mild floral scent and blends easily into the skin.
It moisturises and hydrates the dry patches and cheeks,it does not feel heavy or greasy and gets absorbed quickly. Though for summers and humid areas, oily skin would find this a bit rich and I would advise using this in winters.
I do see firmness and tightness in the skin. A thing called overday ageing does exist, how many of you have observed dull skin at the end of the day? I have quite a few times. Skin remains brighter and firmer with this and over time, I saw reduced dullness at the end of the day and also the pores look much reduced in size, maybe coz of the rhamnose, adenosine and the 3D technology.
It gives a smooth, velvety finish to the skin and the foundation glides on really well. It works equally well as a night cream too. I prefer using it at night or on colder days. I would be using it more in winters.
I don’t have wrinkles, so can’t really judge the anti-wrinkle claim.
It is expensive but this jar will last you a long, long time. I guess it would easily last 5-6 months, so turns out reasonable.
Overall I would say it actually gives a firmer, smoother appearance to the skin and is a nice, hydrating, day cream. Though I would not recommend it for oily skin unless in winters. Dry skin variant has apricot kernel oil which again would be perfect for dry skin with all the same basic ingredients and quality. Recommended.

Have you tried the new Vichy Liftactiv Supreme Cream?
So just after our wedding, I and my husband shifted to a new place near to his office and it was an unfurnished rented place. We had to buy all the necessary furniture and here is how we did it:
1. Jot down the necessary furniture items
Start with noting down what all you need, like for a house with 2 people, the basic furniture you would need is a sofa, center table,TV unit, bed and a wardrobe. You may need more cupboards/storage drawers if you have more stuff. Also, a dressing table can be skipped if the wardrobe has a mirror. A dining table can be skipped as it would also occupy too much space. Buy a center table and bed which has storage inside.
2. Budget
Keep a budget in mind for each and every item and/or the combined total i.e. how much maximum would you prefer spending on furniture. Also, if a house is rented, does not make sense to invest in a lot of furniture, but if you have your own house, then of course, it makes sense to allot a higher budget.
3. Quality
If you are buying some few key pieces, make sure that you get good quality and it lasts you a long time. Cheap stuff may sound alluring at first but will hardly last you an year or so, and then you have to keep on re-purchasing new stuff every year. Rather invest in good quality, durable furniture.
4. Design & Style
You will find 100’s of designs out there, also when you buy online, you get confused looking at so many options. For e.g. In a sofa, there is 3+ 2 seats and there is an L shaped combined one. Keep the corners of your house in mind, measure the area and then suitably select something which will look the best. Even after the design is shortlisted, there are different patterns, different materials, etc. to choose from. Go for something which is durable. Avoid whites if the furniture is going to be used a lot since it will be dirty quite soon and end up looking muddy and lose its charm, though whites are classic and difficult to say NO to, but keep all the factors in mind.
There are a lot of websites which sell furniture online, but buy from someone you trust or have purchased before from. I would say, try buying 1-2 small things at first and get to know the site, delivery, quality, returns, etc., before purchasing everything at once.
Once you find a correct, trustworthy site, then just place your order and your life is simple! Durian offers free delivery and free assembly, easy EMI options and 5 year warranty! Also, 90% of the stuff is made in India. I have often been to Durian stores and my family has purchased quite a lot of stuff from Durian since the time of its inception. I know how reliable, sturdy and trustworthy Durian furniture is.
