March 2017 My Envy Box Review & Unboxing

Hi guys,

I got the March My Envy Box today, and after the previous Feb box, I was hoping they would step up their game and they did!

The theme for this month is ‘Relax. Renew. Refresh’. I quite liked the outer box packaging too.

Products I got:

  • Essence Lip Liner – Full size – Rs.129/- (1g)
  • Neemli Coffee & Cocoa Body Wrap- Full size- Rs.550/- (75g)
  • Wikka Beauty Potion- Full size- Rs.700/- (15g)
  • Eyova Hair Oil- Full size- Rs.590/- (50ml)
  • All Good Scents Rose & Jasmine- 2ml vials
  • Gardner Street Tea Glow- 3 sachets

I am so glad they have added 4 full sized products this time. And also all 6 products are an interesting mix from tea to perfume to body wrap and one makeup product.

Essence lip liners would be in red, nude and pink. I got the red one and I don’t mind. It would work with all red lipsticks.

Neemli makes very good body products and this is a full sized body wrap, quite excited to try this one.

Wikka has aromatherapy products and this is a face moisturizer with Aloe vera, Avocado and Patchouli and Chamomile essential oil, I would be trying this tom onwards. Smells really good!

All Good Scents makes good perfumes, I wish they had included small 5ml/10ml bottles. Even one 10ml would do instead of 2 small vials. Considering they are not pricey, slightly bigger samples are better.

Lastly we have the Eyova Hair oil, this has egg yolk extracts and I have heard mixed reviews about this one. Some love it and some hate it. I am not sure if I will use this as I am a vegetarian, also the egg smell is pretty strong of this one. I might give it a try or give it to a friend.

Overall the box has products of value above Rs.2000/- and I am pretty happy with everything. Highly recommend this month’s box 🙂

November 2016 My Envy Box Review, Unboxing & 20% Off Discount Code

So I just got my November My Envy Box and it is so good, that I had to share it immediately!

First of, this box is beautiful! The summery pastel floral colors and design is so, so pretty! The theme for this month is ‘Handmade’, so all the products are natural and organic i.e. chemical free

We have all 5 full sized products in this month’s My Envy Box! This has to be one of my favourite My Envy Boxes in a very long time!

Not only that, all products i.e. the lip butter, lip scrub, body scrub are perfect for the current winter season. My lips are dry as a desert currently and I am only surviving on lip scrubs and lip balms! So I am glad I got those two. Plus a good body scrub is always welcome to exfoliate those dead skin cells on the body.

Hair Protein Pack also sounds nice, this one has fenugreek, Bengal gram and all things good! Definitely trying this soon!

And last but not the least, Kiwi Asparagus Face Pack! I have never tried this combination but kiwi is super rich in Vitamin C, so I am definitely most excited to try this one.

September 2016 My Envy Box Review & Unboxing

I got my September My Envy Box just now. This month’s theme is ‘Travel’ and I absolutely love the suitcase shaped box! Definitely keeping this box 😀 It looks so cute, I love the designs each month.

Products I got:

  • Dermalogica Oil Free Matte sachet: Rs 3825 for 50ml
  • Kronokare City Detox Face Wash 30ml deluxe sample: Rs 395 for 100ml
  • TRUUTH Beauty Formula Tablets: Rs 400 for 30 pills
  • Ma Earth Botanicals Rose Facial Scrub 40g Deluxe Sample: Rs 875 for 125g
  • C.A.L Detail Me Mascara: Rs. 450 for 12ml
  • C.A.L. Muah Collection Lip Gloss: Rs 450 for 10ml

Unfortunately my Kronokare face wash leaked inside the box, half of the face wash smeared all over the box. I cleaned the box and let it dry, I hope it doesn’t feel soapy or sticky.

The Kronokare City Detox face wash has grapefruit oil and lavender oil. It smells really good, looking forward to try this.

Another product that impressed me is the Ma Earth Botanicals Rose Scrub, it’s in dry form with crushed rose petals in it. Smells absolutely amazing, I am most excited to try this out.

I got two full sized makeup products from C.A.L. I have never heard of this brand, so I searched a bit. CAL Cosmetics LA is a new Indian brand and have a range of face, eyes and lip products. I got the lip gloss in the shade ‘Spicy’ from their Muah Collection, not sure if it’s High Gloss or Stay On, but considering how pigmented and staining it is, I believe it is from Stay On Range. I love the bright coral colour and the staying power is pretty good for a gloss, it’s more like those Maybelline Velvet Matte Lip Colours.

Also got the CAL Detail Me Mascara. I quite like the gold packaging, the outer boxes for both the products were a little rusty. I am not sure why.

The TRUUTH Beauty Formula pack of 30 tablets is a new ‘supplements’ introduction in My Envy Box. It has Biotin, Collagen and claims to be good for hair, nails and skin. Since this has red mark, I am not sure if I will have these as I am a pure vegetarian. I wish they had included something with green mark which everyone can have, or confirmed before sending this or given an option.

And finally Dermalogica Matte Sunscreen small sachet sample, I don’t like sachets so don’t have anything much to say about this. Dermalogica always has super tiny one time use samples. If My Envy Box includes Dermalogica samples, they should include at least 4-5 of these.

Also this month My Envy Jewellery Box has Simran Chhabra designs, you can get extra 10% off using ‘SIMJB10’ and get the box at Rs.2205/-

Overall I quite like the Ma Botanicals Rose Scrub and looking forward to try both of the CAL products. In terms of value for money, this month’s box is definitely total value for money! You get 3 full sized and 2 deluxe sixed samples worth Rs.1700! Recommended

July My Envy Box Review & Unboxing

I just got the My Envy Box for the month of July. The theme is ‘Band, Baajaa Beauty’ and it’s curated by WedMeGood. The box itself is very pretty, it is neon pink with gold intricate work on it.

I had seen a sneak peek in the email and knew there were two full sized products from SkinYoga and Gulnare in this month’ box.

Let’s see what I got in this month’s box:

  • SkinYoga Marigold Foot Soak- Full Size (Rs. 695/-)
  • Gulnare Glow Girl Shimmering Dry Oil – Full size (Rs.1250/-)
  • Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Brightening Scrub -5g sample
  • Kama Ayurveda Hand Cream- 5g sample
  • Kerastase Chronologiste Oil- 3ml sample

In total there are 5 products in this month’s box, but except the 2 full sized products, rest of the samples are very tiny. I do prefer deluxe sized samples which have 30g or 30ml product, I do not like the 5g and 5ml tiny samples which hardly serve the purpose.

The foot soak and shimmering body oil do look interesting, but I would have liked body scrub or Gulnare moisturiser/hand cream.

Overall the value of the two full sized products do make up for the cost of the box, but I would suggest go for this month’s box only if you use/interested in trying out the foot soak or shimmering body oil. Or else, can skip this month’ box.

June 2016 My Envy Box Unboxing, Review & 15% off Discount Code

I got the June My Envy Box right now and the box is so pretty! I just can’t take my eyes off the box, they have a designer who designs boxes each month and I have been noticing fabulous boxes since the past 1-2 months.

I have tons of My Envy Boxes and I had to throw some old, plain ones previously as I was short of space, but I am surely keeping these pretty ones!! I love floral print and this is one of my favourite prints.

  • L’Occitane Divine Cream- 2 sample sachets

Ok, so it’s kind of a mixed thing this month, there is one full sized product and two deluxe samples and two small sachets.

I quite liked the O3+ Aloe Gel which is full sized. Absolutely loved the Herra Hair Perfume, I sprayed it immediately and it smells divine! Also this 10ml bottle is perfect to carry in your bag.

I love face masks and I don’t think I have come across a good deep cleansing and clearing masque in India yet. The Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay one is on my wish list, but I really liked the sound of this one. Looking forward to trying this one out and it’s 50g i.e. half the size of the product which is pretty decent.

Not really a fan of the perfume sample vial or sachets, so no comments on that. I would appreciate if subscription boxes/bags totally do away with tiny samples and sachets, even considering these two brands among the products in the box is unjustified.

So for me, these three are the main products and the ones I liked and looking forward to try. The value of these products in the box comes to Rs.1175/-

May 2016 My Envy Box Unboxing, Review & 15% off Code

So I just the May My Envy Box, the theme for this month is ‘Tropical Beauty’.

It’s a bright yellow colored box, I love the color and the whole tropical print. It comes in a outer white box and as soon as I opened the package, it had a strong citrus smell, and I knew it’s something good.

To start with the Island Kiss Lip Moisturizer, I have all three and really like them. I have reviewed them on my Instagram HERE. You must have seen them all over the net already, Puerto Berry Blush is my favourite of the three and these are indeed quite good.

Votre makes some good skincare stuff, and I love using mists in place of toners, being a toning mist, it’s just perfect. Looking forward to trying this one out.

Lemon Essential Oil from Roots And Above, was the one giving the box, this awesome smell. I am all about essential oils and you can mix them with your skincare, hair oils, etc. There are number of ways to use them and I am surely going to try this one soon.

Gulnare is a new organic and hand made brand in the market. I got their Pumpkin face wash too, in the May SugarBox, and this Seaflo one is the 2nd product from them. This one has a combination of cucumber, wheatgerm and grapeseed oil. Sounds good.

Also a Kiehl’s gift voucher is really good for someone who hasn’t tried Kiehl’s yet. I have got skin consultation there, a number of times. There are experts in every Kiehl’s store who will check your skin texture, condition, problems, etc. and accordingly suggest you Kiehl’s products and would give a lot of samples, good enough to try for a week.

They also have a Rs.500/- off on May Jewellery Box coupon code card, ‘MAYJB’ is the code.

The value of the products in the box come to Rs.1675/– which is pretty good, also I have a 15% off discount code for you guys, you can use ‘NLMBHUMIKA’ at checkout and get the box at Rs.722/– which is a steal!

I do recommend the May My Envy Box, I am quite happy with the full sized products.

September 2015 My Envy Box Review

If you remember the previous month’s My Envy Box, it was a bomb!! It was the best My Envy Box I had ever received. So I had very high expectations from this month’s My Envy Box, did it stay upto the expectations? Read on to know..

I received September’s My Envy Box today, and I also filmed a video and edited it all today 🙂

This month’s box is a silver colored one. It has the September card and the product details card, which has a few makeup tips on the back side of the card.

 

Let’s look into the contents:

  • Za Total Hydration Fresh Foamy Cleanser 5g sample- Full size Rs.299/- for 100g
  • Davidoff Cool Water Shower Gel 75ml- Full size Rs.1800/- for 150ml
  • Catrice Ultimate Shine Lip Colour in What’s Apricot Full size- Rs.610/- for 3.5g
  • Trussardi Donna perfume vial 1.5ml

This time there is just one full sized product i.e. the lipstick, one super deluxe sized sample i.e Davidoff Cool Water Shower Gel which is half the original size and two tiny samples which I am not too happy with.

The cleansing foam is only worth Rs.299/- and not something very expensive, so a sample size of at least 20g could have been included. I don’t like perfume samples in subscription boxes or bags, though this one smells nice, but you can get such tiny samples for free at the brand counters.

Catrice Lipstick in What’s up Apricot

My Catrice lipstick was a nice, everyday n*de shade and good to pair with smokey eyes, but it has melted and broken from the base and got damaged in transit :/

Overall I would say this month’s box is pretty ok, I am not too pleased. My expectations were sky high after the super amazing box last month. I would suggest you buy it only if you like the Davidoff Cool Water and the Catrice lipstick.

The price of the lipstick i.e. Rs.610/- and the shower gel i.e. Rs.900/- is a total of 1500/- which is decent for a box worth Rs.722/- (post discount)

I hope your lipstick remains intact though 🙂

August 2015 My Envy Box Review & Discount Coupon

This month’s packaging is different, the theme is ‘India Mon Amour‘ (which means ‘India My Love’ in French) and all the products are natural, herbal and organic. It is an oxblood red box with golden design on top depicting ancient India figures. August box is all about skin care and fragrance this month and something for the eyes.

It also has a separate card this time, apart from the product card, which has 5 ayurvedic skin care tips.

Forest Essentials details are missing and the 5th skin care tip is mentioned, a little goof up

Contents of my box:

  • Hedonista Oudh Frozen Ittar- Full size (Rs.1045/- for 20g)
  • Soultree Ayurvedic Kajal Pure Black- Full size (Rs.350/- for 3g)
  • Suganda Neem Green Tea Mask- Full size (Rs.900/- for 60g)

Also coming to the products, I love everything in this box. The Hedonista Frozen Ittar is all natural and organic made with coconut oil and pure ittar. It is so convenient to carry and comes in this small jar. You need just a teeny weeny bit and the smell lasts for 7-8 hours minimum!!

I have got 2-3 small pimples and it is actually the perfect time to try out this Suganda Neem Green Tea Mask. It is in powder form and you can mix it with rose water or normal water and just apply it and wash off. I can’t wait to try this, have liked Suganda products untill now.

I wanted to try the Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist since a long time and I got it in this month’s box! Yay 😀 I absolutely love the smell and it is the best body mist I have tried, it just absorbs into the skin and leaves behind a refreshing smell. I have tried body mists from Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret too, but nothing beats this Forest Essentials one!

Coming to the Soultree Kajal, I already have 2-3 of these including one colored. I find the colored ones a bit dry in texture and these black ones are nice but as usual smudge a lot. So not too keen on the Soultree Kajal, but a full sized product is always good.

The 4th product is an option between Forest Essentials Body Mist & SkinYoga scrub, now I would have liked both 😀 But anyway, not being greedy, I am in love with this month’s My Envy Box. There have never been 3 full sized products and one deluxe sized (which is actually HALF) sample ever any of their boxes.

This time, the box was Valentine Special and curated by Miss Malini also called Miss Malini’s Box of Love. It was a black colored box  this time with a pink satin pouch inside..loved that pouch.

Also, there were two additional cards inside this time.A Sephora makeover card for oneself and a friend,sadly no Sephora in Mumbai and its a waste for me :/

Second was a Rs.500/- off on H2O+ stores card, will have to try that out, 2 stores in Mumbai thankfully.

What I got in the box:

Calvin Klein Reveal: Rs.4500/- for 50ml It smells amazing, strong and musky. Its my kinda scent.

LYN (Live Your Now) Nail Lacquer: Rs.350/- for 12ml Its a beautiful creamy pastel blue called No Morning Blues, I tried it out immediately. Dries quickly and love the finish. I am glad its a full sized 12ml quantity this time <3

SkinYoga Post Workout Neem Purifier: Rs.1550/- for 200gms Its a barley and neem post workout body scrub, waiting to try this out. I love SkinYoga products, happy with this one.

Vana Vidhi Himalayan Wild Rose Bath Salt: Rs.990/- for 15gms Bath Salts are a pleasure to use, especially when its pure,natural rose. It smells of soft,pure rose with no added scent/fragrance.

L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Youth Serum: Rs.4490/- for 30ml Not really a fan since its an anti aging range, I don’t like the fact that beauty boxes contain anti aging products unless specifically requested for.

Overall I loved this month’s box. A full sized product plus the other deluxe sized samples which are good enough to eat and smell fabulous. Use SkinYoga Neem Purifier post workout on Valentine’s Day, bath with the Vana Vidhi Himalayan Wild Rose Bath Salt, apply the LYN nail lacquer and spritz some CK Reveal 😀 #not #justkidding

Anniversary October My Envy Box Review

If you guys don’t know what is My Envy Box yet, go HERE.

So My Envy Box completed one year and we have an anniversary box this month. Its curated by Vogue India in association with their Vogue Empower project.

Check out my previous months’ boxes:

Its a gold colored box this time for the anniversary month. I love the red symbol embossing on the gold and the new compact size boxes since last month.

What I got in my box:

 

  • Clinique Take the Day Off Makeup Remover 5ml- Rs.1950/- for 125ml- Vogue Beauty Award Winner 2014. This is a good sample size.
  • SkinYoga Sandalwood Saffron Face Mask 5.67g small vial bottle- Rs.1395/- for 50g
  • Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum– 1.5ml x 2- Rs.5200/- for 30ml
  • Sebastian Potion 9 10ml- Rs.1450/- for 150ml
  • H2O+ Sea Salt Hydrating Body Butter 30ml- Rs.1450/- for 250ml
  • Tatouage Ephemere gold string tattoo– Its a temporary tattoo created by Annelise Toraille

I also got the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief card but did not get the sample. It was anyways a 1.5ml sachet.

I wish the Sebastian Potion 9 was 2 sachets and the Estee Lauder serum either a slightly bigger sample or more sachets. I am happy with the Clinique and H2O+ sample sizes and that tattoo looks super!

I did not get one sample but since it was a sachet, its fine. I wish that was a bigger size too!

The box also had L’Occitane Spa La Vie Credit coupon of Rs.1000/- and an Estee Lauder card to learn one of their 6 tricks and maybe get a sample (if available) at any of their counters. Would try to find an Estee Lauder counter and would update you guys.

Overall, there are 1-2 hits in the box this time. I was expecting much more. Perhaps even a surprise little piece of jewellery or something. Vogue could have added a magazine subscription or something on their behalf too!
