Yes yes…you heard that right.. piCture pOlish had a competition on facebook where we had to suggest names for 3 of their nail paints..and the 3 names selected win those 3 nail paints..!!
Source: picture polish facebook page
The names had to be one single word. There was a orange, green and a purple rust shade..I named the green one Jealousy which was selected..yay !!!
The other names selected were Popsicle for orange and Antique for the rust shade.
I won those 3 nail paints…would do NOTDs soon 🙂
Feels so good when you wear a nail paint you have named :))

I am reviewing the shade ‘Coral Reef’ which is a very pretty coral pink shade..it looks coral in indoor lighting and a pretty barbie pink in daylight..love this shade coz it looks so different in different lights..
Indoors
It stays on for around 6-7 days without chipping..the consistency of these nail paints is quite thick..and it takes time to adjust to it..I just could not get it right on my right hand.. The packaging and brush are quite nice too..
Sunlight
Overall I quite loved these nail paints..
P.S: Product sent by brand for review but it has not affected my opinion.
I applied a red nail paint for the first time and I actually liked it…instantly perks up the hands and makes them looks pretty…Bridal Red is a very pretty true red shade..
MRP: Rs.45-50/-
The only problem was the brush..it was split into two..see..
That gave a very streaky application and it was very messy to use..
Pros:
1. Pretty shade and opaque enough. 2. Economical 3. Many shades to choose from 4. 2 coats were more than enough. 5. Stayed on for around 4 days and started chipping later.
Cons:
1. The brush was very bad and streaky.
Rating:
Quality: 3.5/5 Value for money: 3.5/5 Availability: 3.5/5
Overall Rating: 3.5/5
Would I buy it again: Yes after checking the brush properly.
If you buy Street Wear nail paints, do check the brush properly.
Elle 18 Color Bombs Nail Pops Review, NOTD and Maybelline Cremosa Sexy NOTD
Elle 18 Color Bombs have very interesting colors in their collection and are dirt cheap…I think they are great to experiment with.. Nail Pops come in 48 different funky colors…and thats awesome..check out all the colors here I got the shades 34 and 43..
34 is a peachy red color…it looks more peachy in the bottle and more red on nails..but a warm cherry red and not the RED..or something OTT.. 43 is a rich plummy purple color..
MRP: Rs 45/- for 5ml
Shelf life: 36 months
Pros:
1. I like the cute small bottle. 2. They are very cheap at Rs. 45/- and have all the colors. 3. All the colors in this range give a nice glossy finish.
Cons:
1. It chipped in 2-3 days..ok I was’nt even expecting more. 2. Its very sheer..so one needs 2-3 coats minimum for a color to show up. 3. The brush is ok. 4, Not all shades are available at all places.
Rating:
Quality: 3/5 Value for money: 3.5/5 Availability: 3/5
Overall rating : 3.25/5
Would I buy it again: Yes if I like some color..I would not mind or if I want to try some color.
Also an update on Maybelline Colorama..I tried Cremosa Nude before and loved it…it stayed on me for 5-6 days without chipping but Cremosa sexy..a hot pink shade..chipped in around 3 days..actually it started peeling off at the starting tips..I dunno why..and the consistency is also a bit different.
Also my friend got these cute little lip balm and shower gel from Dubai..
I think everyone out there must have definitely used this..It claims to be with Vitamin E.
Directions for use : Dab onto cotton wool to wipe off nail color thoroughly yet gently.
MRP : Rs 49 for 27ml
No ingredients mentioned.
Pros : 1. Comes with a stopper so you can control the amount that comes out. 2. Has Vitamin E..it claims to..which is good for your nails. 3. Removes the nail paint easily..even 2-3 coats of it. 4. Available everywhere..even at the chemists. 4. Economical. 5. Easy to carry around.
Cons: 1. Like all removers leaves the nails a bit dry. I top my nails with my Jergens cream over the nails..and my nails are fine.
Overall rating-3.5/5
Would I buy it again : Yes..but I even wanna try their new Spa line range nail color remover oil..which does not dry nails but the availability is a problem though.
I got the shade 243 from the new Lakme Gypsy collection… Its a dark bluish purplish color with very fine blue shimmer visible in the bottle but not much on the nails. Its the 1st time I have ever used a dark shade coz I was always into lighter shades or plain silver.. But but now that I have used it…I am loving it….the shade is super nice…and dark colors make your hands n feet look fairer ( cheat code :p) The new collection has 8 shades…I wanted 043 and 044 badly…I loved them on Cynthia but they were Out of Stock.. 043 is a dark navy blue 044 is a henna green gold Others are 530 (a mustard dark gold),245 (dark maroonish red with shimmer),422(tomato red),244(lavender) and 246 (magenta pink with silver shimmer) All these nail paints have shimmer in them.
What Lakme claims : TRUE WEAR NAIL COLOR
Inspired by the bohemian, rustic gypsy trails this season, wear rich, deep colors with just a hint of shimmer. From mystic indigos to ruby reds and from plush purples to henna golds.Available in 8 shades
MRP: Rs 90/-
Pros : 1. You get 9 ml for Rs 90 which is pretty decent. 2. The quality of these is quite good. 3. They stay for a long time on my toes and on hands they stayed for 2-3 days n then chipped a bit at the edges but thats coz I use my hands a lot for handling something or the other. 4. Interesting shades for everyone. You will like one or the other out of the 8. 5. They are quick drying. 6. They are glossy.
Cons : 1. Availability.I dint get the shades I wanted. 2. Packaging is ok 3. Just that they chip on hands.
