1. Jot down the necessary furniture items

3. Quality

If you are buying some few key pieces, make sure that you get good quality and it lasts you a long time. Cheap stuff may sound alluring at first but will hardly last you an year or so, and then you have to keep on re-purchasing new stuff every year. Rather invest in good quality,durable furniture.

4. Design & Style

Keep the corners of your house in mind,measure the area and then suitably select something which will look the best. Even after the design is shortlisted, there are different patterns, different materials,etc. to choose from. Go for something which is durable. Avoid whites if the furniture is going to be used a lot since it will be dirty quite soon and end up looking muddy and lose its charm, though whites are classic and difficult to say NO to, but keep all the factors in mind.
