Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Green, Blue, Brown,White Review, Swatches

And instead of the grey, I got two green shades..

So lets review the four I have..

MRP: Rs.250/- for 1.3g

It comes in the same retractable kajal packaging as Lakme Eyeconic in Black or other kajals in the market..its a tough competition in kajals category, I tell you..

White is a pure white shade

Brown is a dark chocolate brown

Green is a deep forest green

Blue is a light forest green (?) (I have no idea why the blue is a green..Lakme has released blue which is almost similar to the green..just a tad bit lighter..I had first thought I got three greens..but it was named blue..and when I saw online, I found that their blue is just like the green..I wish it was a navy blue or a nice peacock or turquoise blue..why the same blue as green, Lakme ?)

Anyways, so here you see only white and brown different..and two similar greens :p

T-B: Brown, Blue, Green, White

These are so super soft..these just break ! Two of the pencils’ tips broke while swatching..and again while trying..I have no idea why these are so soft..do they need to be kept in fridge or something ? It is as it is quite cold..this is only leading to product wastage..and after breaking the tip again and again, you will be hardly left with any product :/

One has to be super careful with this..

These do glide on smoothly and are too soft..no tugging or pulling..pigmentation is quite good too..

They stay on for 7-8 hours on my upper lashline and for 4-5 hours on my waterline..there was not much smudging..but just that they collect at the edges of the eye..but no raccoon eyes issue..

White looks too stark white..I prefer nudes on my waterline..I like using the white in the inner corners of the eyes..
Here I have used brown on my upper and lower lashline and waterline and white slightly in the inner corners..

I like the green one too..

Overall, I would say these are new in the market and colored kajals are a nice thing to have..and budget friendly too..only issue is too much product wastage..and not many shade options..

I would recommend the Green and Brown ! And if you like using white on the waterline..White too..

Would I buy it again: Yes..may be the Brown and Green..and other shades, if they come out with them..How I wish they do..

P.S: I am loving the songs ‘Ye Kudi Badi Drama Queen Hai’ and ‘Tune Maari Entry toh Dil Me Baji Ghantiya Re Tang Tang’ 😀 Do you like them too ? Soo catchy !

Lakme Presents 5 New Shades in Eyeconic Kajal

Lakme Presents New Eyeconic White and 4 other shades of Eyeconic Kajal

GO EYECONIC WITH WHITE
BREAK THE CODES WITH WHITE ON YOUR EYES THIS NEW YEAR

LAKME LAUNCHES 5 NEW SHADES IN THE EYECONIC KAJAL PORTFOLIO

After the phenomenal success of Lakmé Eyeconic Black Kajal, Lakmé brings home yet another international trend in the form of Lakmé Eyeconic White- an innovation that’s likely to break all codes of traditional kajal usage’. For years, the black kajal has remained an integral part of an Indian woman’s beauty regime, but the new Lakmé Eyeconic White promises to change the game for eye make-up. Spotted at several runways internationally this is a first of its kind introduction by Lakmé in India. Along with white, Lakmé also introduces four must-have shades of brown, blue, grey and green to the Eyeconic collection.

The Eyeconic shades by Lakmé are easy to apply and require zero maintenance, just like your regular black. In merely one stroke the kajal promises a smudge-free professional finish up to 10 hours. It comes with a waterproof formulation that allows one to be carefree while washing face or even travelling. It is dermatologically tested and is safe to apply with its two-way retractable twist-up format.

Talking about this new high-performance product, Arun Srinivas, VP Skin Care and Makeup, Lakmé says, “Indian women love to accentuate their eyes and the kajal remains an irreplaceable favourite. The success of Eyeconic Black encouraged us to look beyond the ordinary and we realize that our consumers are looking for subtle yet strong beauty statements that can enhance their overall look. Bearing this in mind, we now introduce the Eyeconic White – first of its kind innovation with a unique white packaging along with four more interesting shades that will take eye makeup to a new direction altogether.”

Speaking about the outstanding looks created for Eyeconic’s new range, Natasha Nischol, Lakmé Make-up Expert mentions, “The new range of Eyeconic is extremely unique and promising. White is an exciting color for the eyes, which can be used in the waterline to open up your eyes, or in the inner corners for the hint of brightness. Alternately you could also use it on the upper eye lids alone or with another color for a more dramatic effect. We have crafted some amazing looks with Kareena Kapoor to showcase the potential of this unusual color. Each color from the range is very unique and thoughtfully chosen to suit the Indian skin type. As a make-up professional, I am confident that this launch will surely create waves in the beauty and fashion scene in India.”

To get you started, Natasha Nischol has shared a cheat sheet with some quick eye looks to help you perfect the ‘white eye look’ this season.

Shades of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal are priced at Rs 250 (0.35 gm) and will be available at all leading beauty stores starting 21st December 2013.

I personally would have loved a nude shade too ! How I wish they had added a nude..I prefer the softer nude on waterline than the stark white..

But I am quite excited to try out the brown and green..and I also want a purple ! :/
