1. L’Oreal Paris Gold Obsession Collection and Micellar Water

L’Oreal Paris Gold Obsession Collection is surely a stunner. It has 7 different lipstick shades with minute gold particles in it and one of the lipstick is actually a pure gold color with golden shimmer. Each lipsticks are priced at Rs.1025, these lip colors delivers intense moisture while providing a velvet matte finish. Its unique formula contains Jojoba oil for unrivaled moisture and comfort along with matte gel technology to create an intense matte look. Another eye shadow palette has been; launched, called the Color Riche Gold La Palette with 10 shimmery and satin colors and priced at Rs.1450. It claims to remove every trace of make-up, dirt, oil and pollution easily with just one swipe and also hydrate and soften the skin. It gently cleanses the skin and is suitable for all skin types. It is priced at Rs.475 for 95ml.

2. Maybelline New York Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation Stick

MNY has finally launched the Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation Stick which was released way back in abroad. The Fit Me range is already a rave in India and I am quite intrigued to try this out. The foundation stick is priced at Rs. 550 and surely one of the most affordable stick foundations in India. It claims to be creamy and blends into the skin like a dream and looks like your natural skin. Five different shades are available to suit different skin complexions.

3. Nykaa So Matte Nude Lipstick Shades

Nykaa So Matte original series along with Fall Winter collection was quite raved and these are surely one of the best creamy-matte lipsticks I have seen. They haven’t hiked the price at all and kept it at Rs. 399 only. There are 8 additionally nude/MLBB shades like Royal Honey, Bon Bon, Chocolate Truffle, etc. to cater the need of various Indian skin tone. These lipsticks are enriched with Vitamin E to give your lips a soft, cushiony and comfortable finish. These highly pigmented full-coverage lipsticks with long wearing formula.

4. Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks

5. Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery Eye Mask

Estée Lauder finally launched the Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery Eye Mask which is imparted with the Advanced Night Repair technology and helps to repair for fresh, youthful-looking eyes. It has various other ingredients to renew fine, dry lines and plump the skin with hydration. The price of the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery Eye Mask is $11 (around Rs.750) for 1 mask. It is now available in travel retail worldwide.

6. Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lip Flush Just Bitten Lipstick

Another stunning new launch by Maybelline New York. This time it is the Sensational Lip Flush Just Bitten Lipstick. Gradient lips are in trend but they surely do take some time for application. But, with the two pretty colors Raspberry Smoothie and Sunset Sorbet, priced at is Rs.475 for 3.9g, you can easily create gradient lip with just one swipe. It has unique three-tone colors which are filled with natural food grade pigments, infused with shea butter for 12 hours moisture and gives a sensuous finish.

7. Maybelline New York launches Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks

Creamy matte lipsticks are insanely popular in the Indian market and MNY also launched their Color Sensational Creamy Matte lipsticks in 12 beautiful shades of reds, purples, pinks and corals, priced at Rs.575 for 4.2g. These lipsticks are hydrating lip colors which will glide smoothly and evenly on lips keeping them moisturized all day long. The creamy texture and intense pigmentation which a bold sensuous impact and it does not bleed or set into the lip lines.

8. Maybelline New York Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara

I have been trying out the recent Colorsensational Mascara and found out that MNY has launched the Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara. It comes in a stunning red, black and pink packaging with the usual washable and waterproof variant. It is priced at Rs.550 for 9.5ml. This mascara has specially designed wand to coat the lashes with fuller look and would provide a dramatic volume to the lashes with a 45-degree lift.

9. Clinique Crayola Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balms

Clinique has launched the Crayola Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm, in collaboration with Crayola crayons to launch a limited-edition collection. These chubby sticks are extremely easy to use, infused with the goodness of mango and shea butter so lips feel comfortably soft and smooth. There are around 8 beautiful shades in the collection and these are priced at $17.

10. Forest Essentials Haircare Range – Hair Cleanser, Conditioner, Repair Mask, Spray

The effectiveness of the amazing Forest Essentials products are phenomenal and this time they have launched the Haircare Range which includes Hair Cleanser, Conditioner, Repair Mask and Spray. All the products are enriched with the goodness of amazing natural ingredients to make your hair long, strong and shiny.

Facial oil is becoming popular day by day and even oily skin can benefit from this. Avon launched their Nutra Effects Miracle Glow Oil which is decently priced at Rs.729 for 30ml, compared to other facial oils in the market. It has a travel friendly packaging with a dropper. The oil is a powerful blend of 5 pure active seed oils – linseed oil, marula seed oil, green coffee oil, passion fruit seed oil and babassu seed oil. The various essential vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants has deeply moisturized, replenished and radiant effect on skin and the lightweight, fast absorbing formula is wonderful too.

12. Nykaa EyeM Black Kajal, Rock The Line Kajal, 24Hrs Vinyl Luxe Eyeliner

Nykaa has now introduced stunning eye products – Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner, EyeM Black Kajal, Rock The Line Kajal and 24Hrs Vinyl Luxe liquid eyeliner. The Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner is priced at Rs. 299 which has a refined brush, water resistant and high-pigment properties and is completely smudge proof. The EyeM Black Kajal Eyeliner is priced at Rs.375 for 1.2g which is creamy, no-tug eye pencil can be used along the lash line, or extended to create a dramatic eyeliner flick with its blackest black pigment. It has waterproof and smudge proof formula too. The Rock The Line Kajal is priced at Rs.199 for 0.35g which is a great option for college goers. It is waterproof, smudge-proof, and transfer-proof which Vitamin E and C. The 24Hrs Vinyl Luxe Eyeliner is priced at Rs.699 for 1.7ml. It has a felt tip brush, water-resistant, transfer proof and smudge-proof formula and gives a satin-matte finish.

13. Maybelline New York The Rock Nudes Palette

The much raved MNY The Rock Nudes Palette is finally launched in India and it comes with a price tag of Rs.925 for 9g. This is basically a cool-toned palette with a few glitter shades, balanced out with satin touch colors. It features 12 expertly curated shades with intense pigmentation to give you varied customized eye makeup looks. You can create various bold, daring and edgy eye makeup looks using this palette.

14. Lakme New ‘Argan Oil’ Lipsticks

Glossy, gold and illuminating lip trend is ruling the beauty industry and Lakme is about to launch their Argan Oil Lipsticks. Although nothing much is revealed except for the glorious and stunning golden packaging of the lipsticks. It is inspired by Lakmé’s beauty statement ‘Liquid Gold’. The lipsticks will be enriched with the goodness of Argan oil. We know nothing about the pricing or the shades which are about to be launched.

15. PAC Pigments, Compact Powders, Matte Lipsticks, Baked Eye Shadow Palette, Take Cover Concealers

PAC is coming out with new launches and slaying is like anything. From HD foundations to powder, brushes, etc. they have it all. The products are excellent and is at par with various high end brands. They have recently launched the Compact Powders in 9 shades, priced at Rs. 650. These are finely milled silky formula that leaves you with an airbrushed finish. There are some new shades to the Matte Lipsticks, priced at Rs 395. The Baked Eye Shadow Palette is also a stunner which is priced at Rs. 4595. The Take Cover Concealers are available in 8 shades which is priced at Rs. 595. Apart from that, they have launched 52 new brushes for makeup. The upcoming launch is the PAC Pigments, very similar to the MAC Cosmetics Pigment. Also, they are going to launch liquid lipstick in nude collection, very similar to the Kylie or Jeffree Star collection.

First of all I absolutely love the fact that they come in a pack of 1,5,10,20 and 30 so that one can buy according to their needs at a particular time. We all buy the big bulk wipes pack and then most of them dry quickly and not work as well.

You can carry the 1 and 5 pack ones for everyday use or when you are travelling for a few days and keep the 30 pack for use at home. Though I am highly impressed that they did not dry as much as other wipes and still worked well even after 7-8 days of opening the pack.

Each wipe is meant for different use and has different ingredients and properties. Here are the main ingredients and their benefits in each wipe:

Deep Pore Cleansing: Enriched with goodness of Avocado extracts, these tissues are known to be rich in essential nutrients that soothe and moisturize the skin.Infused with jojoba, it unclogs pores, detoxes, and thoroughly exfoliates the dead skin cells.

Refreshing: Kara Refreshing Facial wipes are enriched with the goodness of Aloevera and Mint, Aloevera & Cucumber. Aloe Vera is a natural leaf juice of Aloe Vera plant that keeps skin hydrated and nourished. Cucumber is known to soothe and soften the skin which can get you relaxed in no time. Mint is known for strengthening the skin tissue and helps reduce oily skin.

Toning: Thyme is a great herb for treating acne prone skin and has astringent properties, whereas Rose imparts a fresh and nourishing feel.

Although these are thin and long and cover the face well, the quality is really good and these don’t tear apart easily unlike a few cheaper brands. Each variant smells really good!

The refreshing ones are perfect to carry in your bag in a humid city like Mumbai where you sweat all the time, this will instantly refresh you, take care of all the sweat and also cleanse your face by getting rid of the top layer of dust and grime.

If you travel a lot whole day, use the Deep Pore Cleansing wipe at the end of the day and you will be astonished by all the dirt and grime that comes out. I really love the Deep Pore Cleansing one, it does it job of cleaning the pores from deep within.

If you have acne prone skin and do not like to use a toner, the Toning ones will do the job of toning plus are really handy to use. Moisturizing ones are good for dry skin. Cleansing & Refreshing with Neem & Tea Tree are perfect for oily skin. I am not personally a fan of Sunscreen wipes as I feel it can never compensate the use of sunscreen, but if in case you have forgotten to use a sunscreen and have these, you can use them.

Makeup Removal ones are an absolute must have if you wear makeup on a daily basis or for a makeup artist/makeup professional. These are so moisturizing and remove every bit of your makeup without irritating your skin or eyes or stripping off any moisture from your skin.

My favourites are the Deep Pore Cleansing ones and Makeup Removal ones for night, the Refreshing ones and Cleansing & Refreshing one for travel and day time.

The Zendesign and front and rear 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass makes it look elegant and classy (also scratch free) and the design has won a few awards already!

Absolutely love the sleek design and the metal outer frame, plus it is very light weight!

PixelMaster 3.0 packs a 16MP camera with the latest Sony® IMX298 sensor, six-element Largan lens with a large f/2.0 aperture, and subject-tracking TriTech auto-focus for variable distance and lighting clarity in just 0.03 seconds. The 16MP rear camera is super sharp and clear, I have clicked some pictures and they are all raw/unedited, I have only resized them as each picture was around 3MB!

Also used the front 8MP camera for some selfies. Front camera also has Beautification, HDR Pro mode, etc. I have clicked in normal Auto mode, Beautification mode and in HDR Pro.

All these features and specs definitely deserve a price much higher, but 21999 is a steal for Asus Zenfone 3! It comes in shaded twist up crayon form with the crayon on one side and the white sponge on the other side for blending or creating a color gradation or ombre. The pencils match to the shades and hence easily identifiable.

Pigmentation wise, these are quite pigmented and cover even the most pigmented lips in max 2 swipes. It has a super creamy and buttery formula and glides and blends easily.

The finish is matte but it is very moisturizing and not at all drying. It also feels super light on the lips, you won’t feel you have lipstick on. Staying power is ok, it stays for 4-5 hours without eating or drinking, but with whole meal it goes away from the centre and needs to be reapplied.

The full size & the shade Mauve 1

The shade Mauve 1 is not mauve but a rosy brown, more on the brown side with a hint of mauve.

Here is how it looks on me..

Overall I would say I am quite happy with this, but would have preferred a price of Rs.400/- and also the launch of more shades and the wines and burgundies too. I would recommend checking out this Mauve shade and the Coral and Orange.

Also this particular shade Mauve 1 is one of the perfect Kylie Jenner shades available in India.

They come in a twist up crayon packaging and have to be twisted from the end, from where the blender is. There is a white blender on the other side. The crayon has a black cap and the blender has a transparent small cap.

The texture is super creamy, it feels like butter and the pigmentation is amazing too. And amazingly they have a nice, comfortable, matte finish.

You can either apply it to inner half and/or outer half and create a shaded effect with the blender or mix two shades for an ombre lip.

The shade names are very funny, how and why Red 1, Red 2 :/ Could have had better names.

I got the Mauve shade, coz the reds and pinks looked pretty similar to lip crayons I already have. Loved Coral too, and was loving the look of Orange too. Maybelline has again not launched the super pretty burgundy and wine shades the ColorBlur Lip Pencils have 🙁

These are slightly priced on the expensive side for Maybelline, I think around 400-450 would have been an ideal price but nonetheless I have tried it once and like it, will update with the full review super soon 🙂 For all others who are looking to try this out, I would suggest getting the Coral and Mauve as both the shades are quite different.

Bollywood actress Kalki Koechlin, Gynaecologist Dr. Nandita Palshetkar, Whisper R&D Expert Chetan Kotyalkar & stand-up comedian Aditi Mittal brought to life the need to break free from the various irrelevant period taboos and the importance of menstrual hygiene. Women still practice irrelevant period Taboos like not exercising, not wearing white, not washing hair for the first two days and stay largely at home during periods among others. With the New Whisper Ultra, women should not feel restricted anymore on their period days.

It was the most educative session, she talked about having less salt and caffeine or not having at all, is possible. That is the main reason of bloating during periods and can be tackled by doing away with salt and caffeine. Also light exercises, proper rest are some of the other things to do. Some girls do not exercise at all thinking it should not be done during periods which again is a myth.She also educated all about the importance of menstrual hygiene.

R&D expert Chetan Kotyalkar highlighted the unique features of the New Whisper Ultra that comes with 1000 suction holes to offer better protection for long hours. He showed each and every feature in a presentation and how they have worked towards making the all new Whisper Ultra Clean ‘better’ in so many ways.

The ‘Whisper Out Loud Blogger Hangout’ culminated with Whisper’s super fun #OwnThose5Days challenge. To celebrate the spirit of being unstoppable during periods, #OwnThose5Days challenge comprised of a series of five activities which depicted everyday physical hurdles in a fun way. Kalki and Aditi kick started the challenge and we all followed them. From cycling to trying out the water soaking capacity of the 1000 suction holes, we did all of it practically.

Calvin Klein ETERNITY NOW EDP Review

Claims: Eternity Now by Calvin Klein captures the thrill and raw emotion of new love, when two people realise that it is the beginning of forever. They come together in a moment of profound clarity where emotion transcends the physical and the sheer power of the connection is unexpected and undeniable.

The fragrance continues the brand’s heritage of florals by opening with a bold burst of freshness as the juicy nectarine, succulent lychee, and quince sorbet envelopes skin with light fruity nuances that radiate a distinctive youthful energy. The heart blooms with a floral bouquet of peony, peach blossoms, and dewy neroli petals, leading to a drydown of a soft cashmere veil and traces of sensual ambrox and precious musk that translate the attraction and power of a beautiful love story about to unfold.

Fragrance: Bright addictive floral.
Top notes: juicy nectarine, lychee, quince sorbet.
Mid notes: peony, peach blossom, neroli petals.

The women’s ETERNITY NOW Calvin Klein scent is a floral blend of juicy lychee, peony and cashmere veil, created by perfumer Ilias Ermenidis of fragrance house Firmenich, in conjunction with fragrance consultant Ann Gottlieb.

After 27 years of ETERNITY, CK has come up with ETERNITY NOW. Top notes are made of litchi, and quince sorbet, with the heart of peony, peach blossom and neroli petals. The base includes cashmere, ambrox and musk. The fragrance is available in bottles of 30, 50 and 100 ml EDT.

MRP: Rs.3950/- for 50ml

The bottle is rounder from the bottom and the packaging is completely different from the original CK Eternity. The cap is not the usual, this time it is a clear, transparent cap with reflecting mirror on the top. The color is pink and silver and this packaging is is looking more classy and nice. Now I am not into floral or fruity smells but I love woody, musky smells. Especially in winters and/or night time.

I thought this would be more of fruity or floral, but the smell within 10 minutes settles to a beautiful warm, musk with a hint of floral. I absolutely love the smell. The floral is not strong or in your face, but very fresh kind.

Sillage/wear time is also decent, it stays for around 7-8 hours which is more than many other perfumes on me.

It is nowhere close to the original Calvin Klein Eternity if you have been thinking it might be similar.

It is not something everyone would like, so I suggest trying it out at the counters first, before investing in the product as it is not exactly cheap.

It is definitely slightly on the expensive side, I won’t say it’s a must have, but it’s a beautiful addition to your perfume collection. Definitely worth checking out.

I am so glad that brands in India are coming up with something for eyebrows which was forever ignored until now. I know so many women who make do with either black/brown eye pencil for eye brows. But now no more! We got the Fashion Brow Duo Shaper pencil by none other than Maybelline India.

What the Company claims: The Fashion Brow is the ultimate duo shaper with a natural mineral powder finish on one end and a 0.2mm micro lead tip pencil on the other to give you an ultra-soft precision for perfectly defined eyebrows up to 12 hours. It fixes gaps and blends seamlessly for smooth, stunning brows. If you’re not born with brows that are naturally full and shaped to perfection, Fashion Brow will guarantee you to get the best look for them.

Here’s why you will love it:
– Available in two variants, Brown and Grey.
– Duo shaper with a natural mineral powder finish.
– 0.2mm micro lead tip pencil.

I also love the fact that it is everything dual from two shade options i.e. Brown and Grey coz not every woman’s facial hair is of the same color. Brown is what usually works for everyone, but many a times brown looks stark and grey looks more natural. Try out both and what works best for you.

Powder on one side and Pencil on one

Also it has both powder and pencil in one, i.e. one side id mineral powder with a sponge tip applicator and one side is a very fine tip retractable pencil.

Now I have the ‘Brown’ one and the pencil part still looks a bit grey and is not completely brown. The pencil is a bit hard and you have to go with multiple soft strokes to define the shape. I am glad it is not creamier or too pigmented coz then it either melts off if creamy and one goes overboard if too pigmented.

L- Pencil, R- Powder

There is a very thin line between defined brows and artificial looking too much filled bushy brows! It is very easy to make out and the over-filled ones look very bad, trust me! The pencil is quite thin and perfect for defining the shape and adding just the required color. I use the pencil at the front and define the shape and then fill the outer half and the gaps with the powder side.

It stayed on me whole day with minimal fading! I quite like the Fashion Brow Pencil and also it is priced very economically, but the quantity is too less. You will finish the pencil part soon and the powder you just cannot see how much is used/left.

L- Powder, R- Pencil

I am not someone who fills eyebrows everyday or regularly. I have thick brows and I usually skip doing brows, though there are certain gaps I need to fill, but I am usually too lazy. I am glad I can now by carrying just a pencil, since it is very travel friendly too, now you can do your brows anywhere without carrying brow powder/brush, etc.

Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Pouts Review, Swatches

I mentioned about the launch of the new Lakme Absolute Lip Pouts HERE. They have launches it in 6 matte and 10 creme shades. The matte shades are out already and the creme ones would follow soon.

Today I am reviewing the shades Tangerine Touch, Pink Fantasy and Raving Red.

On the pencils, they mention ‘Lip Tint’, I guess it is their old product Lakme Absolute Lip Tints which they have now re launched in these matte and glossy Lip Pouts version with a new name.

These come in a lip crayon format and have a twist up mechanism. The outer colors are according to the shades and all have a silver cap. The crayon format is very travel friendly too.

The texture and finish of this is completely matte and it kind of reminds me of the Inglot AMC Lip Pencils. These are decently pigmented but as expected very dry. You will definitely need a lip balm underneath and they are very unforgiving if you have dry lips and will accentuate them. So scrubbing lips is a must with these.

They stay for around 5-6 hours but do not survive meals, thankfully they fade off evenly. I think I expected more in terms of staying power and pigmentation. They transfer 1-2 times at first when they are not set which takes some time.

Pink Fantasy is a blue based rose pink

Tangerine Touch is a bright orange

Raving Red is a pinkish red

The colors are not something very unique or different, the usual normal basic shades, I feel there should have been 1-2 more shades like mauves, plums or bright Ruby Woo kind of red.

I swatched the Pink Fantasy first, hence it looks better on the lips. By the time I swatched Tangerine Touch last, the scraping/removing the previous swatches made lips very dry, hence the Tangerine one looks patchy.

I also like Magenta Magic and Victorian Rose and would love to try those too. I absolutely love matte lipsticks and Pink Fantasy is my favourite out of these three, followed by Tangerine Touch.

I am so glad these are priced at Rs.650/- coz all new Lakme Absolute launches have been priced at around Rs.800 since quite some time.

Overall I would say, I am very happy that Indian companies are coming up with matte lipsticks and these convenient crayon forms. I only expected a bit more in terms of shades and staying power, I hope they come up with more shades. But at least they are priced decently, these are already out in the market and also available online.
