New Sugar Cosmetics Plush Hour Matte Lipsticks Review, Swatches

Sugar Cosmetics just launched their Plush Hour Matte Lipsticks, I have been trying them out since about 10 days now and here are my thoughts.

It comes in a small square packaging, different than their usual long and slender packaging for lipsticks. It has a waxy formula and a velvet matte finish, they feel better on the lips than the Matte Lip Crayons. They are super light weight and non drying, you don’t feel like you have lipstick on your lips.
They hardly transfer and stay put for 5-6 hours easily, longer without eating. They feel super comfortable on the lips.
Pigmentation is pretty good and you don’t need more than 2 swipes even for most pigmented lips. I found only one shade Berry Boop slightly patchy, rest all were fine.
I love the shade range they have launched, the neutrals in this range are amazing. They will add more shades in the future, but currently loving all the shades they have!

Minnie Mauve is a medium rose mauve
Powerbuff Girls is a muted red toned brown
Berry Boop is a deep berry
Little Bo Peach is a medium peach
They are very economical and I highly recommend these! There is nothing to not like about them. My absolute favourites are Minnie Mauve, Powerbuff Girls and Little Bo Peach. The cool toned red Cherry Jane is stunning too, and perfect for the current festive season!

New Sugar Cosmetics Never Say Dry Creme Lipsticks Review, Swatches

Sugar Cosmetics is back with a new launch, this time creme lipsticks. The classic old lipstick formula, these ones are super creamy and buttery. More like butter than cream, literally 😀

The packaging is exactly like the It’s a Pout Time Vivid Lipsticks. The same black rectangular packaging and the same qty, price is INR 100 less compared to that.
The lipsticks are launched in 5 shades for now, but I am sure they will add more in the future. The formula as I mentioned is super buttery, they melt while applying, so do not swirl up the bullet much, just stay to the tip.
They are not transfer proof, they do transfer a lot but do not vanish from the lips. They are quite pigmented and stay for around 3-4 hours, after which there is fading. But the deeper shades do leave a nice stain behind.
These are very moisturizing and comfortable on the lips, easy to apply, and do not bleed or feather. They are very easy to take off too, unlike matte liquid lipsticks, which are drying and uncomfortable and sometimes peel off the top layer of lips.

Subtle Island is described as Muted Brownish Pink. It’s an everyday wear MLBB shade for fair to medium skintones.
Dial M for Magenta is a deep magenta purple. Again a nice purple pink, would work for all skintones.
The Brown Ultimatum is a nude brown, for fair to medium skintones
Revolutionary Rose is a rosy pink, would work for all skintones. My favourite out of the lot.
Berry Maguire is a deep berry red, a nice muted berry, would work for all skintones.

To start with the packaging, it has color coded matching outer cover and black body. The packaging is similar to the MAC Liptensity lipsticks and looks very classy from the outside. The inner part however is flimsy and plasticky, it’s not very sturdy and the body shakes a bit. Also the bullets are not very sturdy, one of my lipstick bullet came off on it’s own. I had not even started swatching them or using them, just opening and twisting, maybe one was already broken.
But if you drop them once, the lipstick bullet will break and come off. I like the So Matte magnetic packaging more as it was sturdier comparatively. You have to be very careful with this one.
Also the shape of the lipstick bullet is flat and I hate applying lipsticks which are flat on top as application on the edges of the lips is very difficult and the lipstick goes everywhere :/ You have to use the tip on the edges, but the flat shape often goes outside.
Formula though is pretty good! These are super pigmented, all these hand swatches are 1.5-2 swipes each like I didn’t even need to go two full times over them. Same for my lips, in two swipes you get complete, opaque coverage. See in the swatches video, I wanted to show that specifically.
These have a semi matte finish again, but are more pigmented and rich in colour compared to So Matte. These stay for 4-5 hours, and even longer without eating or drinking. With eating, it will fade from the center but leaves a strong tint behind which stays on throughout. I like the staying power
These are very moisturising nad comfortable on the lips. I love the shade selection they have, everything from nudes and pinks to deep purples and browns. A perfect shade range, also the affordable price tag!
I have divided them into six each, 1 to 6 and 7 to 12 for convenience.
01 Nude Spice is a cool toned nude
02 Cool Girl Nude is a more deeper nude brown, again cool toned
03 No Chill Orange is a bright, warm orange
04 Peaches N Cream is a beautiful peachy pink mix
05 Tender Rose is a cool toned bright rosy pink
06 Chick Flick Pink is a deep pinky brown
07 Rock N Roll Pink is a bright fuchsia pink
08 Purple Monster is a bluish purple
09 Bombshell Berry is a deep berry
10 Rebellious Red is a bright cool toned red, reminds me a little of MAC Ruby Woo. Of course formula wise, completely different
11 Hearts N Kisses is a warmer red
12 Grunge Brown is a deep, dark chocolate brown

Also another con would be the shade name is only mentioned on the outer box, I had to remove those stickers and stick them on the lipstick, as the actual lipsticks only have numbers.
My favourite shades are Cool Girl Nude, Peaches N Cream, Tender Rose, Chick Flick Pink, Rock N Roll Pink, Rebellious Red and Grunge Brown. I know I have many favourites 😀 Even like the first Nude Spice, perfect everyday shade. Even Peaches N Cream and Tender Rose are good everyday wear shades.

Lakme launched the Enrich Lipsticks in a new Matte formula. Remember the Enrich Satin lipsticks in their classic maroon packaging, then they revamped the packaging to this transparent one. And now they have launched 20 shades in a matte formula.
I have 4 of these and here are my thoughts on it..
Claims: The new Lakmé Enrich Matte will be available in 20 vibrant shades, and come in a spectrum of pinks, browns, light and dark colours, all designed to match every skin tone.
These attractive new matte lipsticks are extremely comfortable to wear thanks to their creamy texture, making it the best of both worlds! Its intense colour delivery has no drag while applying and prevents from drying those luscious lips. It has Vitamin E and olive extracts to replenish the lips while hydrating them.
The transparent containers have a silver matte sleeve that even helps you distinguish between the Enrich Matte and the Enrich Satin, so you don’t mix them up in your make up bag!
They have a silver matte sleeve and I absolutely love the packaging. The Enrich Satin lipsticks are priced at Rs.260 and have 4.3g, this is matte formula plus quantity is 4.7g
They smell a little sickly sweet, exactly like the Enrich Satin Lipsticks. And also they don’t have names as usual. They are named PM, OM, WM, RM for Pink Matte, Orange Matte, Wine Matte, Red Matte, etc.
The shades are super pigmented and two swipes will even cover the most pigmented lips. They apply smooth on the lips and do not drag at all. They have a creamy matte finish which is very comfortable. It’s neither glossy nor matte like liquid matte lipsticks. It is just the formula what a matte lipstick can be.
They wear for 3-4 hours and leave behind a tint which stays for a long time, through the day. You need a good makeup remover to remove the strong stain it leaves on lips. With eating, it stays for about 3 hours, it does fade, but doesn’t go away. You will not need immediate reapplication, but once reapplied, it stays put the whole day! It does settle into fine lines though, you need to exfoliate and moisturize lips well before using.
Top: PM11, RM13 Bottom: WM10, OM11
I have the shades PM11, RM13, WM10 and OM11
PM11 is a super pretty neutral pink, this will work for all skin tones. It was slightly patchy though compared to the rest three which were super smooth.
RM13 is a deep maroon/burgundy red, it looks neutral on the lips though. A gorgeous red, must say
WM10 is a deep plum wine. It is the most unique wine shade in my stash, love this color!
OM11 is a deep rust orange, absolutely love this shade! It is super smooth and goes the creamiest.

Sorry for the Pink Matte swatch, it didn’t look so dry and patchy in person, but as I mentioned this one is not the smoothest.
I love each of the four shades and cannot pick one favourite. I can’t wait to check out the rest of the 14 shades, especially nudes.
Except the smell, no shade names and the stain being a little difficult to remove, I have no cons.
Overall I would say Lakme killed it with this launch!! So so glad Lakme launched affordable matte lipsticks in a beautiful array of colors, can’t be happier! Kudos Lakme, absolutely highly recommend these, worth every penny.

New Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipsticks India, Price, Shades, Swatches

So ever since I saw the new Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipsticks on Habbana, about a week ago, I was itching to get my hands on them! Finally I went shopping today and saw them at Lifestyle stores.
First of all, I am not happy with the fact that only 4 shades are launched in India, same as the Rebel Bouquet, Bold Mat and Pink Alert, why only 4-5 shades get launched in India where as US has almost 10-12 in each range :/ So unfair.
They are named Vivid1 to Vivid4 but thankfully they also have names this time!
Shades:
Vivid1 Scarlet Red
Vivid2 Neon Pink
Vivid3 Violet Pink
Vivid4 Rosy Orange
MRP: Rs.475/- for 3.9g
It comes in a sheer red cap and black base packaging, all the lipsticks have the same packaging unfortunately, the base is pink and red though shade wise.
The finish is glossy which turns into semi matte exactly like the Bold Mat lipsticks. Also if you notice Vivid 1, 3 and 4 have some shimmer, so the finish is more glossy.

Vivid1 Scarlet Red is a cool toned bright red

Now both Bold Mat and Pink Alert were priced at Rs.375 when they launched, then I believe they increased it to Rs.425. I don’t know why this range is priced at Rs.475/-, coz the qty being same, the price of Rs.400-425 was just perfect for this. Not happy with the additional rise, although not much, Maybelline is supposed to be the most economical brand, and I hope it stays that way.
Vivid2 Neon Pink is I believe the shade named Fuchsia Flash in US (which is supposed to be MAC Candy Yum Yum dupe) and Vivid3 Violet Pink is the shade named Vivid Rose.
I did not find the red and orange to be very different, I liked both the pinks though, both are quite unique and fabulous. I tried both of them on me and picked up one, coz I felt one shade was pretty dupable in my stash.
Guess which one I picked 😀

Hey guys, I went to the Maybelline Rebel Bouquet Collection Launch on the 16th and we got a few samples to try out. As you know, I am most excited about the lipsticks always 😀 I have been trying these out since 2 days and here is the review.
They are called Rebel Bloom in the US and Rebel Bouquet in the UK same as here in India. The collection is more about pastels but not many shades would suit the Indian skintones, so Maybelline India has selected the shades that would suit the Indian skin tones and only launched those.
What the Company claims: Color Sensational presents the NEW Rebel Bouquet collection. A burst of rebellious colour!
Why You’ll Love It
Super-saturated pigments give fresh-picked pastels a bright kick. Sumptuous feel and enriched with honey nectar. 6 vivacious shades.

Shades Available: 6 (Sadly they are named REB01 to REB06, while the ones in US have pretty names. Maybelline why you no name lipsticks? :/)
I am reviewing the shades REB01 and REB05.
It comes in the normal ColorSensational square packaging with a transaparent red cap. The labels behind are red and coral according to the shades.
It is super creamy and soft in texture and melts in contact with the skin. It has a glossy,mirror finish which will give a bit of plumping effect to your lips.
I have turned into a matte lips fan recently, and these are into the glossy category. I wish they were matte :p They are quite pigmented but you do need to go over twice for a smooth and fully opaque coverage. Also since these are very creamy, they tend to bleed and you will have to be careful while applying. But once applied, they settle after some time and then stay put.
L- REB05, R- REB01
These are not transfer proof and you will need to reapply if you are eating or drinking,can survive tea and light snacks though. But otherwise, they stay for 4-5 hours (REB05 Peach stays for 3-4 hours) and also leave behind a pretty stain which stays for sometime.
T- REB01, B- REB05
You do not need any lip balm with these, since these are super moisturising. The honey nectar takes care of your lips.
REB05 is a peachy coral shade
REB01 is an apple red shade with some very fine shimmer
And here are these on moi..
L- REB05, R- REB01
These are reasonably priced at Rs.450, though the ColorSensational ones are priced at Rs.400 and the Bold Matte at Rs.425. A 5-6% price increase is still ok, unlike the brands these days who have increased prices 30-40% for their new launches.
Overall, I would say these are glossy and moisturising texture wise, but are not transfer proof. Also, these might bleed and need a bit of careful application, but once settled, they stay put well. I loved the peachy coral REB05 and can’t wait to check out the other 4 shades. Recommended!
