L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Oil, Shampoo and Conditioner Review
Hey everyone,
With tons and tons of new shampoos coming up (pun intended), its difficult to catch up with all and review all. I tried the Sunsilk Natural Recharge at first..and then this L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish which I was using from quiet some time..and now shifting to the TRESemme Split Remedy.
For now, I have been using the combination of these three..so lets review them today.
L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Oil: The Extraordinary Oil has been scientifically created to give your hair the nourishment it truly deserves with three traditional oils and three exotic oils providing 6 specific benefits. It has no heavy feel or greasy look. Almond Oil –Makes your hair Thick, Coconut Oil – Makes your hair Manageable, Argan Oil –Gives your hair Strength, Jojoba Oil –Gives you Shiny hair, Olive Oil – Makes your hair Soft, Camelina Oil –Smoothens your hair
The first hair oil that is powered by 6 Micro Oils in a unique formula to provide 6 specific benefits. The Research & Innovation Centre at L’Oréal Paris in India have created perfectly balanced oil that that makes your hair look healthy and beautiful with a spectacular shine with every use.
6 oils-
Argan
Olive
Almond
Coconut
Jojoba
Camelina
6 benefits-
Strong
Soft
Smooth
Thick
Shiny
Manageable
Application: Apply on hair and scalp and gently massage before washing off. Can also be applied as a finishing touch.
L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo: The 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo has been created to provide complete nourishment to your hair from root to tip with 6 Micro Oils™making it soft, shiny, thick, strong, smooth and manageable.
Application : Massage gently into wet scalp/hair, lather and rinse for soft, nourished and healthy hair. Apply twice if required.
Ingredients:
MRP: Rs.69/- for 75ml, Rs.138/- for 175 ml, Rs.235/- for 360ml (Buy on Flipkart here)
L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Conditioner: The 6 Oil Nourish Conditioner, a first of its kind from L’Oréal Paris, can be used on the scalp. This conditioner provides complete nourishment to your hair giving it the 6 benefits of the Oils used.
Application: Post shampooing, gently massage this conditioner on your scalp and hair and leave it on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing.
Starting with the Extraordinary Oil, it has a strong artificial smell..comes in a glass bottle..you need to be careful with this one..and the dispensor takes its own time for the oil to come out :/
Its quiet light in texture and never gave that chipku look..gets absorbed well..hair does not feel greasy or heavy..and it was easy to wash off too..did not require multiple washes..
I am not a fan of using it post washing as a serum..its slightly heavy to be used as a serum and may weigh down the hair.
Except for the fact that it has mineral oil and that too 68% :/ Mineral oil is not entirely bad for the hair..if you have curly hair, then it works for you all the more..what is does is, it forms a film on the hair..means it prevents moisture from going in..but its two way..so in a way it helps in controlling frizz but also prevents other useful products to reach the hair..but actually it also has some benefits and I would not discard a product if it has mineral oil..the question remains..how much qty of mineral oil is used in the product ! I also read that mineral oil should not be used on dry hair as it locks the dryness and dries them over..but it has worked for some and not for some..there are mixed opinions. I did not face much of an issue with this one.
Overall I would say I would have preferred lesser mineral oil..I mean 68% is quiet a lot !
Coming to the L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner. I have tried these oils in hair range before..with the Dove Nourishing Oil Range and Sunsilk Radiant Shine Range..both of which I loved ! So, the hair range with oils have always worked for me..
Does this one too ? Lets find out.
These have a yellow colored packaging and both are golden yellow in color..the shampoo has tiny shimmer which reflects. I love the amazing smell.
Shampoo is the perfect texture..not too watery..lathers amazingly well, washes off easily..and leaves hair smooth and detangled..
Conditioner is rich and creamy and coats hair well and leaves hair hydrated and moisturised.
I only felt that conditioner if used slightly more, can weigh down normal to oily hair since its a little rich.
Also, they claim that this conditioner can be used directly on the scalp..I did not try it and would not recommend it too..after all its a conditioner !
Though the shampoo does have SLS and conditioner, the silicones.
The range gave me shiny, smooth, detangled hair but weighed hair down sometimes..especially when all three used together since I have normal hair..It would work amazingly well for dry hair.
Overall, I would say this range is amazing for dry hair..and normal hair can work it too but carefully..but I would not recommend it for oily hair.

Who Wore What- IIFA Awards 2014 and the Green Carpet
So after the press conference, promotions and pre- events which I covered HERE, lets move on to the main awards IIFA 2014.
My hits and misses..
1. Jahnvi Kapoor in D & G
Jahnvi chose a Dolce & Gabbana full skirted dress and strappy sandals..with a soft, messy updo. Cute, I did say.
2. Parineeti Chopra in Nikhil Thampi
Pari chose this one shoulder peach Nikhil Thampi gown..the color is good..but is it not a little too simple ? I did not like the Rahul Mishra one sheer skirt though..did not flatter her figure..this is atleast better.
3. Kalki in Gaurav Gupta
Kalki in a grey Gaurav Gupta gown with silver detailing all over. No, a little too much..plus the color is too dull on her.
4. Yami Gautam in Gauri and Nainika
Yami in this monochrome Gauri Nainika gown..though it screams high school..but she always looks cute !
5. Dia Mirza in Sabyasachi
Dia looked amazing in this pink and gold ombre Sabyasachi embellished gown with Amrapali jewellery..that dress is stunning !
6. Gauahar Khan in Ken Ferns
Gauahar in a red Ken Ferns gown..is it Christmas already ?! Did not like the silhouette too.
7. Kareena Kapoor in Armani
Kareena chose this black sheer panel Armani dress..a little too bold..but she pulled it off quiet well !
8. Sridevi in Oscar De La Renta
Sridevi chose this black shimmery Oscar De La Renta gown..perfect makeup, hair updo and studs..she looks ravishing !
9. Priyanka Chopra in Monique Lhuillier
PC chose this embellished nude Monique Lhuillier gown..smokey eyes and an elegant updo..she looked great.
10. Sonakshi Sinha in Amit Aggarwal
Shimmery Navy Blue Amit Aggarwal gown, Bottega Veneta clutch, soft wavy hair..Sonakshi looked quiet good.
11. Deepika Padukone in Zuhair Murad
Dippy chose a Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad red lace gown..I liked the gown..but the berry lip :/ Does not work with this at all.
12. Dia Mirza in Halston Heritage
Beautiful peachy orange pleated Halston Heritage gown, Jimmy Choo clutch and an Amrapali multi chained layered necklace..Dia looks stunning here !
12. Madhuri Dixit in Sonaakshi Raaj
Again a Sonaakshi Raaj after Bipasha in white..this time Madhuri chose a different color..and I am glad..coz that color looks amazing on her..loved it. (Both these Sonaakshi Raaj outfits are from the recent Lakme Fashion Week S/R 2014..and I had attended this show)
13. Swara Bhaskar in BCBG
Swara chose this coral BCBG illusion panel dress..I like how the illusion panel works on her..nice..
14. Kareena in Armani
Kareena chose a Giorgio Armani again..separates here..a beaded white top and velvet paneled skirt..bright orange lips completed the look.
Also there were many blacks ! Madhuri chose a black Jatin Varma and Malaika a Shivan Narresh, Bipasha a Rocky S..too many black gowns seen !
I loved Sridevi, Madhuri, Kareena, Dia and Priyanka !
So, whats your pick ? Whose outfit did you like the most ?
Kama Ayurveda Pure Lavender Water Face & Body Mist Review
What the Company claims: Pure Lavender Water face & body mist

100% Natural
MRP: Rs.725/- for 200ml
It also comes in a smaller travel sized version I believe..
Kama Ayurveda already has a rose water which is like quiet famous and their one of the most selling products..so now they also came up with Lavender water..
I, personally love lavender more than rose..so if I have to choose, I would go with Lavender.
It comes in a brown tinted plastic bottle with a nozzle spray and a plastic cap..the packaging is quite sturdy, travel friendly and good..no issued with the spray.
Kama Ayurveda Waters i.e rose, lavender, vetiver, sandalwood and mogra all act as toners basically. And purest forms of toner..
Love the lavender smell. It soothes and refreshes instantly..and is a must have in my bag in this scorching heat.
Pros:
1. Love the lavender smell.
2. Soothing and refreshing.
3. Very convenient to use..and the travel sized bottle would be perfect for travel.
4. Good sturdy packaging and spray.
5. Must have for summers.
6. Lavender Essential Oil also helps in insomnia..and I also spray it every night, just before sleeping 🙂
Cons:
1. Little expensive..but I guess this 200 ml would last real long..coz I am using it everyday..and its not even 10% empty yet..so totally worth it.
Overall, I would say, it is not something that makes tall magical claims..it is meant to soothe and refresh the skin..and give the skin a boost in these horrible summers..and it does exactly that.
You can choose any Kama Ayurveda Water out of the five, depending on your choice. I love Lavender and I would be sticking to this 😀

What the Company claims: 96% of girls in India desire shiny hair. However daily stresses like harsh sunlight and excessive pollution may rob the hair of essential shine and moisture, leaving it dull and limp. Sunsilk Radiant Shine shampoo and conditioner combines the nourishing qualities of five oils which have beneficial effects on hair – Argon, Jojoba, Camellia, Almond and Olive. The dual effects of oiling and washing softens the hair texture not just from the outside, but ensures that hair receives nourishment at periodic intervals. The light oils permeate up to three layers deep and give hair a natural sheen that stays as the day progresses. So you can show off your shine that stays on and on!
Expert Tip for Shiny Hair: Vitamin E is vital for luscious shiny locks. It is found in foods such as avocadoes, berries and nuts. Blowdry your hair inside out and work your way up from tips to the scalp. Always use a heat protector spray before heat styling your hair. Make sure you up your iron intake in your diet.

Conditioner is very creamy yellow in color and smells amazing too..and does make hair softer..
I loved it..it actually makes hair smooth and shiny..not mirror like shine obviously..I hope no one was expecting that 😀 But, definitely a nice healthy sheen.

New Maybelline 12H Colossal Kajal Review, Swatches
I had reviewed the Maybelline Colossal Kajal previously HERE. Now they have relaunched it in a darker and more long staying form..the previous one claimed 6 hours of wear and this one claims 12 hours..
Read on to know how it fares..
What the Company claims:
MRP: Rs.175/- for 0.35g
The packaging is the same..the same yellow swivel up mechanical pencil. Its nice, rich black and easy to apply..does not tug or pull.
Thats the whole qty
I did not like the previous one much..as it did not stay longer on my watery eyes..in fact no kohl stays longer than 2-3 hours on me..
But but this one did ! For almost 5-6 hours which is a very good thing considering my watery eyes. But it does smudge a little more than the previous one..that did not spread around giving raccoon eyes..this one does at times..
Here is the swatch..
L: Swatch R: After smudging
And on eyes..
Before, After
Pros:
1. Its nice dark black.
2. Glides on nicely..no tugging or pulling.
3. Reasonably priced.
4. Stays for 5-6 hours on my watery eyes ! Thats a long time for me 😀
5. It does not go away completely leaving your eyes bare..and there is always a hint of it till the time you remove it.
6. Does not smear much..the swatch did not budge from the hand.
Cons:
1. Claim of 12 hours..I am not really sure about.
2. No Ingredients mentioned.
3. Does give raccoon eyes at times..especially when eyes watery.
Rating:
Quality: 3.75/5

Would I buy it again: Yes..I am pretty impressed by the staying power of this..much better than the previous one..

Why a perfect matte black eye shadow is an absolute necessity in your makeup kit ?

Highly recommend these..Moonlight Kiss is much better in terms of texture and pigmentation compared to MAC Carbon eyeshadow..and both are 1.5g.
