L'oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary OIl, Shampoo and Conditioner Review

L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Oil, Shampoo and Conditioner Review

L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Oil, Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Hey everyone,

With tons and tons of new shampoos coming up (pun intended), its difficult to catch up with all and review all. I tried the Sunsilk Natural Recharge at first..and then this L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish which I was using from quiet some time..and now shifting to the TRESemme Split Remedy.

For now, I have been using the combination of these three..so lets review them today.

L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Extraordinary Oil: The Extraordinary Oil has been scientifically created to give your hair the nourishment it truly deserves with three traditional oils and three exotic oils providing 6 specific benefits. It has no heavy feel or greasy look. Almond Oil –Makes your hair Thick, Coconut Oil – Makes your hair Manageable, Argan Oil –Gives your hair Strength, Jojoba Oil –Gives you Shiny hair, Olive Oil – Makes your hair Soft, Camelina Oil –Smoothens your hair

The first hair oil that is powered by 6 Micro Oils in a unique formula to provide 6 specific benefits. The Research & Innovation Centre at L’Oréal Paris in India have created perfectly balanced oil that that makes your hair look healthy and beautiful with a spectacular shine with every use.

6 oils-

  • Argan
  • Olive
  • Almond
  • Coconut
  • Jojoba
  • Camelina

6 benefits-

  • Strong
  • Soft
  • Smooth
  • Thick
  • Shiny
  • Manageable

Application: Apply on hair and scalp and gently massage before washing off. Can also be applied as a finishing touch.

L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Conditioner: The 6 Oil Nourish Conditioner, a first of its kind from L’Oréal Paris, can be used on the scalp. This conditioner provides complete nourishment to your hair giving it the 6 benefits of the Oils used.

Application: Post shampooing, gently massage this conditioner on your scalp and hair and leave it on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing.

Ingredients:

MRP: Rs.80/- for 65ml, Rs.150/- for 175 ml (Buy on Flipkart here)

Starting with the Extraordinary Oil, it has a strong artificial smell..comes in a glass bottle..you need to be careful with this one..and the dispensor takes its own time for the oil to come out :/

Its quiet light in texture and never gave that chipku look..gets absorbed well..hair does not feel greasy or heavy..and it was easy to wash off too..did not require multiple washes..

I am not a fan of using it post washing as a serum..its slightly heavy to be used as a serum and may weigh down the hair.

Except for the fact that it has mineral oil and that too 68% :/ Mineral oil is not entirely bad for the hair..if you have curly hair, then it works for you all the more..what is does is, it forms a film on the hair..means it prevents moisture from going in..but its two way..so in a way it helps in controlling frizz but also prevents other useful products to reach the hair..but actually it also has some benefits and I would not discard a product if it has mineral oil..the question remains..how much qty of mineral oil is used in the product ! I also read that mineral oil should not be used on dry hair as it locks the dryness and dries them over..but it has worked for some and not for some..there are mixed opinions. I did not face much of an issue with this one.

Overall I would say I would have preferred lesser mineral oil..I mean 68% is quiet a lot !

Coming to the L’oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner. I have tried these oils in hair range before..with the Dove Nourishing Oil Range and Sunsilk Radiant Shine Range..both of which I loved ! So, the hair range with oils have always worked for me..

Does this one too ? Lets find out.

These have a yellow colored packaging and both are golden yellow in color..the shampoo has tiny shimmer which reflects. I love the amazing smell.

Shampoo is the perfect texture..not too watery..lathers amazingly well, washes off easily..and leaves hair smooth and detangled..

Conditioner is rich and creamy and coats hair well and leaves hair hydrated and moisturised.

I only felt that conditioner if used slightly more, can weigh down normal to oily hair since its a little rich.

Also, they claim that this conditioner can be used directly on the scalp..I did not try it and would not recommend it too..after all its a conditioner !

Though the shampoo does have SLS and conditioner, the silicones.

The range gave me shiny, smooth, detangled hair but weighed hair down sometimes..especially when all three used together since I have normal hair..It would work amazingly well for dry hair.

Overall, I would say this range is amazing for dry hair..and normal hair can work it too but carefully..but I would not recommend it for oily hair.

Who Wore What- IIFA Awards 2014

Who Wore What- IIFA Awards 2014 and the Green Carpet

So after the press conference, promotions and pre- events which I covered HERE, lets move on to the main awards IIFA 2014.

My hits and misses..

1. Jahnvi Kapoor in D & G

Jahnvi chose a Dolce & Gabbana full skirted dress and strappy sandals..with a soft, messy updo. Cute, I did say.

2. Parineeti Chopra in Nikhil Thampi

Pari chose this one shoulder peach Nikhil Thampi gown..the color is good..but is it not a little too simple ? I did not like the Rahul Mishra one sheer skirt though..did not flatter her figure..this is atleast better.

3. Kalki in Gaurav Gupta

Kalki in a grey Gaurav Gupta gown with silver detailing all over. No, a little too much..plus the color is too dull on her.

4. Yami Gautam in Gauri and Nainika

Yami in this monochrome Gauri Nainika gown..though it screams high school..but she always looks cute !

5. Dia Mirza in Sabyasachi

Dia looked amazing in this pink and gold ombre Sabyasachi embellished gown with Amrapali jewellery..that dress is stunning !

6. Gauahar Khan in Ken Ferns

Gauahar in a red Ken Ferns gown..is it Christmas already ?! Did not like the silhouette too.

7. Kareena Kapoor in Armani

Kareena chose this black sheer panel Armani dress..a little too bold..but she pulled it off quiet well !

8. Sridevi in Oscar De La Renta

Sridevi chose this black shimmery Oscar De La Renta gown..perfect makeup, hair updo and studs..she looks ravishing !

9. Priyanka Chopra in Monique Lhuillier

PC chose this embellished nude Monique Lhuillier gown..smokey eyes and an elegant updo..she looked great.

10. Sonakshi Sinha in Amit Aggarwal

Shimmery Navy Blue Amit Aggarwal gown, Bottega Veneta clutch, soft wavy hair..Sonakshi looked quiet good.

11. Deepika Padukone in Zuhair Murad

Dippy chose a Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad red lace gown..I liked the gown..but the berry lip :/ Does not work with this at all.

12. Dia Mirza in Halston Heritage

Beautiful peachy orange pleated Halston Heritage gown, Jimmy Choo clutch and an Amrapali multi chained layered necklace..Dia looks stunning here !

12. Madhuri Dixit in Sonaakshi Raaj

Again a Sonaakshi Raaj after Bipasha in white..this time Madhuri chose a different color..and I am glad..coz that color looks amazing on her..loved it. (Both these Sonaakshi Raaj outfits are from the recent Lakme Fashion Week S/R 2014..and I had attended this show)

13. Swara Bhaskar in BCBG

Swara chose this coral BCBG illusion panel dress..I like how the illusion panel works on her..nice..

14. Kareena in Armani

Kareena chose a Giorgio Armani again..separates here..a beaded white top and velvet paneled skirt..bright orange lips completed the look.

Also there were many blacks ! Madhuri chose a black Jatin Varma and Malaika a Shivan Narresh, Bipasha a Rocky S..too many black gowns seen !

I loved Sridevi, Madhuri, Kareena, Dia and Priyanka !

So, whats your pick ? Whose outfit did you like the most ?

Kama Ayurveda Pure Lavender Water Review

Kama Ayurveda Pure Lavender Water Face & Body Mist Review

What the Company claims: Pure Lavender Water face & body mist

Handpicked from the wild in the Himalayas, this lavender water has unparalleled soothing properties that provides an instant boost to the skin and reduce stress. An excellent facial toner, it cools & refreshes in hot weather.  The steam distillation process used to create this wonderful water ensures a high level of hygiene and purity.

No artificial colours. No artificial fragrance. No animal ingredients. No petrochemicals, parabens, urea, propylene glycol or sulphates. All our organic products are internationally certified. Not tested on animals.

100% Natural

MRP: Rs.725/- for 200ml

It also comes in a smaller travel sized version I believe..

Kama Ayurveda already has a rose water which is like quiet famous and their one of the most selling products..so now they also came up with Lavender water..

I, personally love lavender more than rose..so if I have to choose, I would go with Lavender.

It comes in a brown tinted plastic bottle with a nozzle spray and a plastic cap..the packaging is quite sturdy, travel friendly and good..no issued with the spray.

Kama Ayurveda Waters i.e rose, lavender, vetiver, sandalwood and mogra all act as toners basically. And purest forms of toner..

Love the lavender smell. It soothes and refreshes instantly..and is a must have in my bag in this scorching heat.

Pros:

1. Love the lavender smell.

2. Soothing and refreshing.

3. Very convenient to use..and the travel sized bottle would be perfect for travel.

4. Good sturdy packaging and spray.

5. Must have for summers.

6. Lavender Essential Oil also helps in insomnia..and I also spray it every night, just before sleeping 🙂

Cons:

1. Little expensive..but I guess this 200 ml would last real long..coz I am using it everyday..and its not even 10% empty yet..so totally worth it.

Overall, I would say, it is not something that makes tall magical claims..it is meant to soothe and refresh the skin..and give the skin a boost in these horrible summers..and it does exactly that.

You can choose any Kama Ayurveda Water out of the five, depending on your choice. I love Lavender and I would be sticking to this 😀

Would I buy it again: Yes

Have you tried Kama Ayurveda Water yet ? If yes, which and how do you find it ?

OOTD: Leopard Print Crop Top, Blue Pencil Skirt

OOTD: Leopard Print Crop Top, Blue Pencil Skirt

Hey everyone,

I am back with an OOTD..so crop tops are like so IN these days..and they are everywhere..at Forever 21, you will only see crop tops ! And the young girls these days are loving the trend..

Here in this outfit, I paired a leopard print crop top with a navy blue pencil skirt..and black ankle strap wedges and a crocodile print black bag.

Since the crop top was the main piece of attraction here and its high neck, I did not add any statement necklace..just some gold midi rings a hollow gold bracelet.

I am in loveee with these black ankle strap suede wedges..they are so comfy..I have danced 2 hrs in them ! I can literally live in them..and they look so chic <3 Also available in blue and white..

Some tips on wearing a crop top:

  • Pair it with pencil skirt/midi skirt/palazzos
  • Don’t wear it if you are apple shaped or have extra love handles
  • Show only a little bit of skin, if you are not too comfy
  • And if you are not comfy showing any skin, you can layer it over a tank/camisole (If you have seen my outfit on Instagram, I wore a striped crop top layered over a basic tank)

So yes, go and rock the crop top ! If you wear a crop top, do tag me on twitter or facebook or Instagram 🙂

Wedges: HERE
Skirt, Bag, Accessories: Romwe

On Lips: Revlon Lacquer Balm in Tease

P.S: Do you like the bigger size of the images ? Or you guys prefer them smaller as in previous posts ? Do let me know !

I hope you liked the outfit..do let me know in the comments below 🙂

Who Wore What: IIFA Press Con, Promotions, IIFA Rocks- 2014

Who Wore What: IIFA Press Con, Promotions, IIFA Rocks- 2014

So, the IIFA Awards 2014 events have begun..and this time its in Tampa Bay, USA. As we see what the celebs have been wearing at the airport, at the IIFA press conference, promotions all over the US, IIFA Rocks (The Fashion show by Manish Malhotra for Mijwan Society) and of course the main Awards as and when they happen.

For now, I have picked up few hits and misses from the pre-events for you guys..do let me know your thoughts..

1. Kareena Kapoor at the Press Conference

She wore Anand Kabra separates..monochrome does work here..but one thing that glams up the outfit totally is the Maheep Kapoor Statement Necklace..goes with the embroidery on the sleeves..she finished it with YSL sandals..the look works for her.

2. Vidya Balan at IIFA promotions in NY

Vidya Balan wore a Satya Paul checkered sari with an orange long jacket blouse..and Manish Arora Earrings from Amrapali collection..ok, so there have been two views on this..some like it, some hate it..For me, this look totally works..the bright orange totally pops the checkered monochrome..and though she has been wearing sarees always, this one is an Indo-western kinda fusion..which looks amazing in my opinion.

3. Priyanka Chopra at IIFA Promotions

PC wore this Dior outfit, Isharya earrings and Valentino pumps..orange again here..I like the pop of orange..dress is ok..But I hate that brown/wine lips..can’t PC just lose them ??!

4. Sonakshi Sinha at IIFA Promotions

Sonakshi wore this black DKNY LBD with cut-out accents, nude peep toes and Bansri earrings..she wore her hair in soft waves..very normal and average..

5. Nimrat Kaur at IIFA Rocks

Nimrat wore a neon orange strapless midi dress with nude pumps..ok this is very Barbie dollish ! But, she did manage to pull it off decently well.

6. Vaani Kapoor at IIFA Rocks

Vaani wore multi print high neck Diva’ni dress, metallic pumps and Eina Ahluwalia earrings. What was she thinking ? Its like..wayy too much going on !

7. Priyanka Chopra at IIFA Rocks

PC wore a Prabal Gurung sheath dress and matching pumps..and Jaipur gems jewellry..and and and she wore a bright lip ! Finally ! And that suits her so well..why is she stuck to browns :/

8. Yami Gautam at IIFA Rocks

Yami wore a Clover Canyon flared dress and Joe’s nude pumps with a see-through Kotur clutch..I loved the hair too..I think she looks cute..

9. Bipasha Basu at IIFA Rocks

Bips chose this Gaurav Gupta plunging neckline metallic gown and Farah Khan Ali earrings..and sported a faux bob..Though its way too metallic and I am not sure how would it look on anyone else (Except Deepika..she pulls off everything), Bips managed to carry it.

10. Aditi Rao Hydari at IIFA Rocks

Aditi chose this oxblood Narendra Kumar suit and berry sandals..she looks chic..

Whose look did you like the most ?

P.S: I do not own any images.

*prices at the Taj Salon, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, as of January’14

I was attended by Meena Siddique..and she was amazing..learnt a lot of tips and tricks from her..

There are different Moroccanoil Hydrating Treatments and options.. The Price of Moroccan Oil Hydrating treatment – ranges from Rs. 2300 – Rs. 2700 depending on length and thickness of hair. Prices are inclusive of tax.

Since my hair was not very dry..she recommended the Light Hydrating Treatment..and not the Intense one..

At first, hair was washed with a shampoo and conditioned..then she applied the Moroccanoil Light Hydrating Mask section by section..

Hair was then washed with plain water..no shampoo.

And later the Moroccanoil Light Serum was used and hair was given a cold blast..and the dried hair already felt so soft and amazing and the best part..super light as if nothing at all is used..

And later they were styled and blow dried.

And the final result..

I was so in love with my hair ! They looked and felt awesome..and I received lots of compliments from the team there for my long hair..they all loved the outcome too 🙂

Also received this cute Moroccanoil two bag and Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner and the Intense Hydrating mask to try..

Have you ever tried the Moroccanoil Hydrating Treatments ? Been to Taj Salons anywhere ? Do share your experience..

P.S: Services were provided complimentary..but that has not affected my review.

To start with, I loved this concept of mix and match and create your own palette..you get to customize your own shades..and create your own duos, trios and quads..you can detach and attach it however, whenever you want, for travel, etc too..And you get different finishes and different types of colors..from neutrals to pastels to brights..

The small black single shadow..has a slider on both sides..where another eyeshadows can be slid and clicked to attach..the packaging is quite cute too..

Clicked together

All shades have different pigmentation and staying power..some are more pigmented while some are drier or sheerer..

130 Seafoam is a pastel bluish mint..its decently pigmented..and stays for 4-5 hours..I am not into pastel eyeshadows much..but if you like pastels, you should check this out..

260 Copper is a sheer true copper..it needs to be builded up..its a kinda of shade you can wear as it is with just a winged liner when you want to emphasize more on lips..like a good warm neutral..and would look great with Indian outfits..it stayed for a good 4-5 hours and without any creasing..without a primer too.

Here is an EOTD with the shade Copper..

Pros:

1. Nice mix and match and customization concept.

2. Cute packaging.

3. Quite economical.

4. 20 shades to choose from.

5. Different finishes from matte to shimmer.

6. Stayed well for 4-5 hours without primer and without any creasing.

Cons:

1. Some shades are drier and sheerer..not all have good pigmentation.

Overall, I would say I quite like them..but check individual shades and their pigmentation before making your customized palette..

I love Onyx, Eggplant, Java and Taupe..eyeing those 😀

Dresses For The Mother of the Bride

Dresses For The Mother of the Bride
Guest Post
Dresses for the mother of the bride are a very important part of pulling together a wedding. While the wedding parties may be large or small, they cannot go on without the mother of the bride. The mother of the bride is the person who must look the most stately. This means that she should be in a dress that allows her to look her best without looking matronly. The best mother of the bride dresses are the dresses that allow the lady to look sleek and slim without making her look to flamboyant. Many times, this is a hard fit to make because there are not many dresses on the market that will help the mother of the bride look her best.
The bride who wants her mother to look her best at the wedding can learn more by investigating the best types of dresses for her mother to wear at the wedding. This could include long, draped dresses that are slightly fitted to shorter dresses that are not quite as fitted and everything in between. The combination of the right fit and length is what is going to the mother of the bride the best look possible when she is sitting at the wedding and all during the reception.
The best gowns for the mother of the bride also must give her a color scheme that is going to look nice with the theme for the wedding. Without this connection to the theme of the wedding, it is hard for the mother of the bride to fit in at the wedding, and it is very important for her to fit in when she is the person who is one of the most important people at the ceremony.
Also, the mother of the bride must be in a gown that allows her to look her age without making her look too old for her personal taste. The best gowns of this type are going to flatter the lady’s figure while also giving her a chance to accessorize and look amazing. Many mothers of the bride look amazing because they choose a gown that is easy to accessorize and even easier to fit into once the big day comes. These gowns are of vital importance to the lady who must look her best and support her daughter on the biggest day of her life.
