Aishwarya & Sonam at Cannes 2016: Outfits & Makeup

Aishwarya & Sonam at Cannes 2016: Outfits & Makeup

Hey guys,

You all must have seen 100’s of pictures of both Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor from the Cannes Film Festival 2016. It’s the 15th year Aishwarya Rai was present at Cannes and she was there for all four days while Sonam Kapoor joined later for 2 days. Katrina Kaif was not present at Cannes this year due to her shoot commitments.

You must have seen the Infallible Range Makeup Collection launch for Cannes 2016 HERE, where I also reviewed & swatched the lip glosses.

Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya’s first look on the red carpet was a Ali Younes Couture golden gown, which she paired with smokey blue eyes and glossy nude lips. The dress was ok, the cape was not flattering and something was not right with the fit around her waist.

She wore a red ruffled gown from Naeem Khan with bold red lips.

Later she donned a Rohit Bal gold and brown ensemble for the Sarabjit screening. She paired it with smokey eyes and nude lips, like the makeup, the dress is quite ok.

The Elie Saab gown was the showstopper! Bold red lips and a winged eyeliner, soft wavy hair, she looked ethereal. The bold lips were achieved using a mix of shades from the L’Oreal Paris LA Lip Palette, I hope they launch it in India soon!

Her last look was a blush pink floral Rami Kadi bardot dress and brown smokey eyes with super bright and bold lilac lips with her hair tied slick back! While I did like the dress, I don’t like the lips at all! Pastel lilac is not her colour, she is fair with green eyes and pastel lilacs will just wash her out, a beautiful deep purple like MAC Recollection or something like that would have looked gorgeous on her!

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam’s first appearance was in Rimzim Dadu black and blue sari. She went with a blue liner, pink cheeks, fuchsia lips and a sleek low bun. I loved the earrings and harness behind! The makeup looked quite fresh and nice, I did not like the sari though, looked like vinyl :/

She later wore a flowy, white Ralph & Russo dress on the red carpet. Straight hair and gold smokey eyes with half brown half bronze liner and pinky nude lips, I guess since her gown was white, she could have gone with pink or a brighter shade. This looked good too, I liked the overall look and how it turned up.

And finally she wore another white Ralph & Russo flowy gown with a floral cape and Bulgari jewellery. A bow shaped sleek bun and bronze pink eyes with a smoked winged liner, highlighted cheeks, fluttery lashes and soft pink lips. This was my favourite look of hers in Cannes 2016.

At the end for the Chopard After party, she wore a gorgeous black Ralph & Russo gown with Chopard jewellery, of course. Again a sleek bun but with bronzed face and bold red lips this time. I loved this look too.

Whose look did you like the most? My favourite has to be Aishwarya’s Elie Saab look.

May 2016 My Envy Box Unboxing, Review & 15% off Code

May 2016 My Envy Box Unboxing, Review & 15% off Code

Hi guys,

So I just the May My Envy Box, the theme for this month is ‘Tropical Beauty’.

MRP: Rs.850/- (Available HERE)

It’s a bright yellow colored box, I love the color and the whole tropical print. It comes in a outer white box and as soon as I opened the package, it had a strong citrus smell, and I knew it’s something good.

Let’s see what all I got:

  • Island Kiss Lip Moisturizer in Puerto Berry Blush- Full sized (Rs.499/- for 14g)
  • Votre Botanical Toning Mist- Deluxe sample 50ml (Rs.800/- for 100ml)
  • Roots And Above Lemon Essential Oil – Full sized (Rs.375/- for 10ml)
  • Gulnare Seaflo Face Wash- Full sized (Rs.350/- for 120ml)
  • Kiehl’s Special Consultation Gift Voucher

To start with the Island Kiss Lip Moisturizer, I have all three and really like them. I have reviewed them on my Instagram HERE. You must have seen them all over the net already, Puerto Berry Blush is my favourite of the three and these are indeed quite good.

Votre makes some good skincare stuff, and I love using mists in place of toners, being a toning mist, it’s just perfect. Looking forward to trying this one out.

Lemon Essential Oil from Roots And Above, was the one giving the box, this awesome smell. I am all about essential oils and you can mix them with your skincare, hair oils, etc. There are number of ways to use them and I am surely going to try this one soon.

Gulnare is a new organic and hand made brand in the market. I got their Pumpkin face wash too, in the May SugarBox, and this Seaflo one is the 2nd product from them. This one has a combination of cucumber, wheatgerm and grapeseed oil. Sounds good.

Also a Kiehl’s gift voucher is really good for someone who hasn’t tried Kiehl’s yet. I have got skin consultation there, a number of times. There are experts in every Kiehl’s store who will check your skin texture, condition, problems, etc. and accordingly suggest you Kiehl’s products and would give a lot of samples, good enough to try for a week.

They also have a Rs.500/- off on May Jewellery Box coupon code card, ‘MAYJB’ is the code.

The value of the products in the box come to Rs.1675/– which is pretty good, also I have a 15% off discount code for you guys, you can use ‘NLMBHUMIKA’ at checkout and get the box at Rs.722/– which is a steal!

I do recommend the May My Envy Box, I am quite happy with the full sized products.

What do you think of the May Tropical Beauty My Envy Box?

Livon Hair Gain Tonic Review

Livon Hair Gain Tonic Review

By Nidhal

There is an inexplicable joy in stroking one’s fingers down lustrous, satin smooth and long locks that cascade like a waterfall. In fact, if we take walk down the lanes of Bollywood, then that scene in Rangeela where Urmila (named Mili in the movie) stroked and played with her hair sensually while grooving to the beats of the coquettish and peppy number ‘Tanha Tanha yahan pe Jeena’ is one that stays afresh in my memory even after so many decades. Oh boy, Urmila defined sensuality in that song and how! Okay, let YouTube be of help to you in case you are unable to recall that iconic song sequence 😛 Relive that era once again and don’t forget to drool over Urmila.

Coming back to hair, thanks to the fast-paced lives that we live today with dirt, pollution, dust, grime, chemical-laden products pumped into our mane at the drop of a hat and stress, our mane looks anything but gorgeous (of course, there are some exceptions but let us turn a blind eye to them for a minute and focus on the wider, general populace). Naturally, hair fall is what we face and dread. To combat this pesky woe, Livon had introduced its Hair Gain tonic. Honestly, I was wary of it since hair growth is influenced by a number of factors such as- diet (protein and iron rich), weather, quality of products used, type of comb used, sleeping pattern and duration, and so on and so forth, so I picked it up unwillingly. That said, I have used it a couple of times keeping my inhibitions aside. So, that calls for us to glance at its report card, right?

PRICE- Rs 685/- for 150 ml (BUY HERE)

DIRECTIONS FOR USE- Apply directly on the scalp with the bottle’s nozzle or fingertips. Begin from the centre of the affected area and spread all over the scalp. Rub the tonic with your fingertips gently. DO NOT MASSAGE.

INGREDIENTS- Aqua, ethanol (denatured with diethyl phthalate), propylene glycol, PEG-12 dimethicone coplyol, polysorbate 20, diaminopyrimidine oxide, Aloe vera freezed dried powder, copper peptide, D-Pantheol, PEG-40, Hydrogenated castor oil, Imidazolidinyl urea, fragrance, PEG-6 Caprylic/capric Triglyceride, Cl 19140, Cl 16255, Cl 42090

WHAT IT CLAIMS- Livon hair gain tonic contains root energizers which are enriched with hair re- growth molecules. It is clinically tested to accelerate hair growth and control hair fall by revitalizing hair follicles from the roots and improving hair quality.

MY EXPERIENCE-

Livon Hair Gain Tonic comes packed in a cylindrical plastic bottle with a cap on top. There is a nozzle inside that is covered to prevent spillage. On account of packaging, it is hygienic to use, leakage-free and travel-friendly. Since it fulfils all the requisite parameters of evaluation for me, I do not find anything worthy of modification. Hence, is up to the mark in terms of packaging for me.

The tonic has a liquid texture. In fact, one could mistake it for water had it not been pumped with an artificial fragrance and a yellow colour. The colour, however, isn’t visible when poured from the bottle. It does not leave any sticky or oily feel after being applied unlike an oil. In fact, it leaves a cooling sensation. I do not suffer from hair fall thankfully but some of my family members do and after using religiously for over a month, they did note reduced hair fall. They didn’t note any growth which is of course, tacit since I mentioned in the beginning that hair growth is impacted by a number of factors and no product, howsoever effective it may claim to be, can help one’s hair grow. What it can do at the best is arrest hair fall and this is exactly what Livon hair tonic does.

On the flipside, it comes laced with an alarming number of toxic chemicals such as- PEG, Propylene glycol, fragrance (under the garb of which a number of noxious chemicals are added), silicone (dimethicone) and coal tar dyes. So, using it would be like playing with fire. This point is subjective. Some people are comfortable with using chemical-laden products. Some are not. That said, if you are using it/desirous of using it, then at least do not develop a hang of it because so many chemicals if added to your scalp on a regular basis, will eventually wreak havoc in the long run.

GOOD-

1. Readily available

2. Arrests hair fall unless it is severe

3. Cooling sensation

4. Non-sticky feel

BAD-

1. Contains way too many chemicals such as- PEG. Silicones, fragrance, propylene glycol and coal tar dyes.

2. Artificial fragrance is irksome for me

3. Expensive

RATING- 3/5

Editor’s Note: Sounds ok, I think it’s good for someone having severe hairfall, can atleast control that. Don’t think it would help in hair gain though.

Have you tried the Livon Hair Gain Tonic or something similar?

How to Get Rid of Back Acne?

How to Get Rid of Back Acne?

By Shelja

Summers are full of adventure, beaches and sweat. Sure we all love summer holidays and other stuff but there is something which I hate about summers, The back acne! As summers are sweaty I end up with these crazy acne all over my back and forearms, Thank God I am not the only one facing it, the good news is, it can vanished! Every year in forced to keep a check on the tips given below to keep my back free from acne. Keep reading to know more!

1. Salicylic wash : Salicylic acid is popularly advised by dermatologist for acne and pimple prone skin, it is also know for its deep cleansing and rejuvenation properties, it also provides exfoliation and reduces dark spots caused by acne. Using salicylic acid on your back twice daily can have visible effects.

2. Benzoyl peroxide : This is a another strong ingredient to use on your back acne, as it dries off the skin it’s not recommended to use on your face without your dermatologist advice. If your using a benzoyl peroxide wash let it stay for atleast a minute befor you wash it off. Using a lotion of benzoyl peroxide over your back after the shower will get you faster results.

3. Keep it clean : if you notice back acne mostly occur during summers, sweat is also one of the many reasons for your back acne, shower right after you sweat, after gym or before bed.

4. Retino A : Retino A cream is used for acne and pimple treatment, it is also used for further prevention, you may notice some skin shedding within few days but that’s a normal process as it sheds off the old skin at the same time promotes growth of new skin cells. It also works good for wrinkles, age spots and skin lightening.

5. Don’t re-use worn clothes : Dirty clothes can cause clogged pores and thus causing acne, the best way is to wash your bra and tops after one use, especially during summers when you sweat the most.

6. Apply sunscreen : If your skin has acne scars sun can be your biggest enemy. As sun can make your acne marks last longer. The best way is to wear clothes which covers your acne area. use a oil free suncreen lotion over your back 20min prior of sun exposure. Sunscreen also helps to save your skin from unwanted tan and early signs of ageing.

Editor’s Note: Agree with all these points Shelja, well written. I do get it in summers sometimes.

Maybelline Lip Gradation Coral1, Red2 Review, Swatches

Maybelline Lip Gradation Coral1, Red2 Review, Swatches

Hey guys,

So I had swatched all the Maybelline Lip Gradation shades earlier HERE and also reviewed my favourite shade from all Mauve1 HERE.

I had mentioned how Coral1 would be my next pick and yes, I got these two.

What the Company claims: Go Bold Or Graded And Sexy On Your Lips With The New Color Sensational Lip Gradation. It’s time to experiment with your lip makeup. For the sexy, bold and adventurous woman, Maybelline New York brings international trends with the newest Lip Gradation. Available in 8 bright, matte shades, this double-sided lip product will inspire you to experiment with your looks and bring out your unique style and personality. The color stick at one end will give a gorgeous pop of color while the cushion blender tool at the other end will give a sexy, graded look. For a complete trend-on look, apply color on the centre of your upper lip and use the sponge smudger to extend the color to the outer edges till the contours of your lips or use it as a matte lip color or a lip liner.

Here’s why you will love it:

  • 8 bright, matte shades
  • Easy to apply
  • Fun, flirty, versatile way to color your lips
  • Innovative product with cutting edge technology

For Best Results: Apply Lip Gradation in the center of lips and blend outwards using the cushion blender.

Shades Available: 8

  • Red 1
  • Red 2
  • Pink 1
  • Pink 2
  • Fuchsia 1
  • Mauve 1
  • Orange 1
  • Coral 1

MRP: Rs.500/- (BUY HERE for 400)

They come in a twist up crayon packaging and have to be twisted from the end, from where the blender is. There is a white blender on the other side. The crayon has a black cap and the blender has a transparent small cap.

The texture is super creamy, it feels like butter and the pigmentation is amazing too. The glide on easily and you get opaque coverage in one swipe with darker shades and if you have pigmented lips, you might need to layer the lighter shades twice.

You can either apply it to inner half and/or outer half and create a shaded effect with the blender or mix two shades for an ombre lip. I like to use it normally as a lip crayon overall, as I am not a fan of the ombre look with one shade on a day to day basis.

I love the powder matte finish, it is very comfortable and not drying, feels very light on the lips. Stays put for 4-5 hours, but won’t survive full meal, can survive light snacks though.

L-Red2, R- Coral1

Coral 1 is a beautiful peachy coral shade, very flattering on a lot of skin tones. I always get asked what lipstick I am wearing, when I have this on. It gives a fresh, not overdone look to the face. But it being a lighter shade, looks patchy on dry lips. So exfoliate and moisturize your lips before using this.

Coral1

Red 2 is a beautiful cool toned red, one which makes you teeth look whiter. It’s total glam and perfect for night time.

Red2

I only don’t like the quantity for that price, there’s not much product in there. I only wish they have more qty for that price. I remember I had said, I wish they were priced around Rs.400, but you get this for 400 online on Amazon India, so I don’t mind 😀

Other than that, no con. Once again, Maybelline has successful launched something innovative and new.

Rating:

Quality: 3.75/5
Value for money : 3.75/5
Availability: 4/5

Overall rating: 3.75/5

Totally recommend getting them online from Amazon for Rs.400. I love the shades Mauve, Orange, Coral and Red2.

What is your favourite shade out of the Maybelline Lip Gradations?

Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Pack Review

Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Pack Review

By Nidhal

If you have ever had the displeasure or ill-fate of eating it, chances are your face would have turned into the most hideous possible contortions for it is bitter beyond description! It is that ingredient which Grannies have coaxed us into chewing as kids and teens and then, we would pretend to gulp it down while waiting anxiously to look for a basin to spit it out. God forbid if she’d catch us red- handed spitting it, she’d shove double the quantity of those leaves in our mouth (at least mine did) to help us “fight infections and skin problems” (as per her). She, without an iota of doubt was right for Neem (yes, do not twist your face in disgust) indeed is a storehouse of benefits. Neem has antibacterial, antiparasitic, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties that not only benefit your health but also can help you get rid of common beauty problems.

Today, I will review a product that has neem as its core ingredient and it is none other than HIMALAYA HERBALS PURIFYING NEEM PACK. Let us see if this deserves a place in our beauty armoury or is an ‘All sizzle no steak’ 

PRICE –Rs 130/- for 100g (BUY HERE)

DIRECTIONS FOR USE- Apply evenly over cleansed face and neck, avoiding the area around the eyes. Allow to dry for around 10-15 minutes. Remove with a wet sponge and wash with cool water. Use once/twice a week. Do not apply on inflamed or broken skin.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS- Neem is an excellent skin care ingredient known for its antibacterial properties. It improves general skin health and immunity, combating bacterial infections such as acne, boils and ulcers. Neem tackles bacteria from the root and prevents the recurrence of pimples and blemishes. Turmeric has been used as an antiseptic for centuries. The herb also has strong anti-inflammatory properties which soothe your skin gently. It also makes your skin soft and supple. Fuller’s Earth is an excellent cleanser. It removes deep-seated dirt and skin pollutants.

WHAT IT CLAIMS- Himalaya’s Purifying Neem Pack brings together the goodness of Neem, Fuller’s Earth and Turmeric, which work together to regulate excess oil secretion, clean clogged pores and prevent the recurrence of pimples.

MY EXPERIENCE-

Himalaya herbals purifying neem face pack comes packed in a simple plastic tube with a flip-top cap. The cap does not lose its grip overtime and sturdy enough to avert leakage/spillage. Overall, as far as packaging is concerned, I find it up to the mark and there is no need to revamp it unless a novel feature is added (which does not mean ‘Change the colour/illustration on the package because there is no novel ‘feature’ in that).

The pack has a slightly thick texture. It has a brown tinge which doesn’t leave the colour on your face thankfully when you wash it off. Once applied, it imparts a cooling sensation and that is music to one’s ears given how blistering summers in India are. It takes 5-7 minutes to dry (my skin type is dry. Duration may vary slightly) and washing it off too, is a cakewalk. It imparts a squeaky clean look and a little glow too but it renders my skin all the more dry. Because of its drying nature, I won’t recommend it to ladies with dry skin. Steer clear off it. It did warn you beforehand by printing “For Normal to oily skin” on its package in the first place so, neither you nor I can pin the blame on it squarely. I can’t comment on its ability to soak up excess oil because my skin type, as you know by now, is dry.

However, I asked two ladies from my family to try this to form a clear idea about its performance. My mother has normal skin while my cousin has oily (not excessively oily) skin. For my mother, the results were the same and she was satisfied with it. But it was my cousin who went gaga over it for this mask soaked excess oil off her. The fact that it is handy spells cheer for her.

All in all,I can say is that it imparts a clear look and glow. However, the glow is transient so please have realistic expectations. Given the fact that is pumped with parabens and DMDM Hydantion (list of inactives), I don’t find developing a hang of it a wise idea for any one. To sum up, it is efficacious but meant to be used sparingly 

GOOD-

1. Readily available

2. Economical price

3. Sturdy packaging

4. Imparts a squeaky clean look

5. Adds a subtle glow (it is temporary however)

6. Works wonders for oily/extremely oily skin

BAD-

1. Not suitable at all for dry/extremely dry skin

2. Chemical-laden. Contains parabens and DMDM Hydantion

RATING- 4/5

Editor’s Note: I totally agree with you Nidhal, not for dry skin. I have combination skin which was more towards the oily side during my teens and I have used this a lot! Absolutely loved it, the fuller’s earth would absorb the oil and clear & tighten the pores while the neem and turmeric helped calm down acne or avoid breakouts. My brother who has super oily skin, also loved using it 😀 However the Neem face wash from this same Himalaya range is my HG, and I come back to it always! Can blindly trust that.

Have you tried the Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Pack? It’s a must try if you have oily, acne prone skin.

Khadi Herbal Body Wash Rose and Honey Review

Khadi Herbal Body Wash Rose and Honey Review

By Monika

Hi to all the lovely people out there!!!!! This is my first time writing a beauty blog so do let me know in the comments below whether you find this review helpful or not .I was looking for a good, herbal and economical body wash for daily usage and that is when this product comes into picture which, I bought on one of my online purchases. This product has made me love khadi products even more so; to know more about the product and my opinion on it continue reading.

Price and quantity: Rs 130 for 210 ml (BUY HERE)

Shelf life: 2 years from the date of manufacture

Product claims: Khadi rose and honey body wash indulges your senses with beautiful soap-free cleansing gel that will leave your skin feeling cleansed, refreshed and soft with a whisper of beautiful rose fragrance.

Directions for use: Apply to wet skin all over the body. Lather and rinse. Use daily if required.

Ingredients: Water, geranium oil, aloe vera, rose centifolia, ananas cosmosus, crocus sativus, azadircta, honey, base qs.

My experience with the product

The product comes in a transparent bottle through which you can see the lovely pink color of the gel. It has a sturdy flip cap that prevents leakage which makes the product extremely travel friendly. The packaging is common to all the khadi body washes in the market. I must say that, I am more of a shower gel person rather than soap and given the price it is a steal. The product has a pleasant smell of roses which dies down within minutes after you come out of the shower that according to me is a major drawback since; I expected the pleasant smell of roses to last a lot longer. The wash lathers very well and only a coin sized amount is required if used it with a loofah, rinsing off isn’t problem as well. Also, the cleansing action of the wash is very good, leaving the skin soft and supple. I personally would recommend using this wash with a loofah as it would make sure that you do not use excess of the wash and will last a lot longer. It has a gel like consistency and in my opinion would be suitable to all skin types. The gel based formulation is neither moisturizing nor drying and you may want to use a moisturizer depending on the climate. I would like to conclude by saying that, if you are looking a good wash for regular usage which is economical then it sure is a great buy ignoring the longevity of the fragrance.

Pros:

  • Cleanses well
  • Decently priced
  • Travel friendly
  • Great for regular usage
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Easily available (prefer buying it online as you can get some great discounts on this product, which I did)
  • Natural ingredients

Cons:

  • The fragrance does not last for a long time
  • It is not moisturizing so have to use a moisturizer after the bath which in my opinion you should anyways be doing.
  • Generic packaging

Rating: 4.5/5

Final word:

I would like to recommend this product to all you beauties, since it does its job pretty well without burning a hole in your pocket and would last a long time. I love it so much so that I have already restocked on the product.

Editor’s Note: This sounds quite good Monika, nicely reviewed 🙂 I will definitely try this.

Medimix Ayurvedic Intimate Hygiene Wash Review

Medimix Ayurvedic Intimate Hygiene Wash Review

Hey guys,

So Medimix has launched a new intimate hygiene wash recently and I have been trying this out since quite a few days. Here are my thoughts on it..

What the Company claims: The house of Cholayil brings to you Medimix Ayurvedic Intimate Hygiene Wash. It is the world’s first Intimate Wash formulated using the expertise of Cholayil and the rich secrets of ancient Kerala Ayurveda. Made using only the choicest natural ingredients like:

*Lime * Rosemary * Neem * Sage * Aloe * Thyme * Vetiver * Bisabolol

MRP: Rs.150/- for 100ml (Buy HERE)

It is the ideal chemical-free cleansing wash for the vagina. Additionally, it also contains lactic acid which encourages the natural vaginal acidity. Not only this, it confirms to a pH level of 3.5-4.5 which is an ideal level according to prominent Gynecologists around the world.

Medimix Intimate Hygiene Wash is an Ayurvedic formulation and all its ingredients are natural as opposed to synthetic components in beauty products. Medimix Intimate Hygiene Wash is free of chemicals like:

  •  SLES (Sulfate free)
  • Nitrosamine free
  • Paraben free
  • Soap free

It has mild baby care product surfactant. Since it is free of harmful chemicals, Medimix Intimate Hygiene Wash is safe and mild while protecting you against dryness, unpleasant odor, itching, irritation and infections. What’s more, it is gynaecologically and dermatologically tested to ensure that the delicate vaginal skin gets the gentlest of care.

Ingredients:

I had been using Lactacyd Vaginal wash since the longest time, I had discovered it a few years ago and I knew how lactic acid balances the pH and maintains the acidic environment of the vagina.

Lactobacilli is the good bacteria found in the vagina and they protect the vagina from harmful bacteria and balance the pH level and also help protect against vaginal odor, infections, etc. If the vaginal balance is disturbed and less lactobacilli is produced, the bad bacteria would increase in number leading to more infections as there is no protective barrier. The vaginal balance can be disturbed due to number of reasons like pregnancy, tight clothing, use of strong body wash/soap, synthetic underwear, inappropriate hygiene, etc.

A balanced vaginal flora helps to prevent bacterial and yeast infections. What we can do is use a a product that contains ingredients which support the growth of the good bacteria to prevent possible infections and promote recovery if the symptoms have already developed.

I have used Medimix soaps before and always trust Medimix when it comes to ayurvedic/natural skin care. You may ask why not use the same for the vaginal area too, since this is chemical free and natural too. But being a soap, it is slightly drying and if you dry out your vaginal area, as you read above, it causes vaginal imbalance leading to bacterial growth. Over washing/foaming will definitely dry out the area. An intimate wash is made specially for only vaginal use, coz it is very gentle and will not dry out your vaginal area plus maintain the pH balance.

It comes in this flip cap packaging which is handy and nice to keep in your bathroom or even carry for your travel, as its tiny and light weight. You just need few drops i.e. very little amount per use, so this 100ml bottle would last you long. I love the natural, herbal smell plus it’s not too powerful.

It foams well and does not dry out your delicate vaginal skin. I absolutely love it and recommend it, and definitely repurchasing it. If you ask me to choose now between Lactacyd and Medimix, I will go with Medimix 🙂

Also there are some online sites where currently they have the Medimix soap free on buying this wash, combo going on. So, do check that out.

Have you tried the #MedimixAyurvedicIntimateHygieneWash yet?

The New Trend: Naked Dresses

The New Trend: Naked Dresses

By Pallavi

Hii Fashionistas,

You might have heard about the new fashion siren which is also called “NAKED DRESS”. You might be wondering what is this naked dress?? How can they do go together?? Well, naked dress is something which shows maximum part of your body by covering only the private parts. It is not like your entire body is exposed. You will be covered head to toe but it will be a sheer gown only the private parts will be actually covered. Well, you might think that this is a very daring and bold outfit. Well, that it is.

Naked dresses have been worn since long back. The very first celebrity who flaunted naked dress was the Hollywood goddess Marilyn Monroe. But after many years again the Hollywood celebrities began with the trend and recently some bollywood beauties have also worn the same. Read below to know the best naked dresses worn –

1. Jennifer Lopez – The goddess of Hollywood wore this dress at the 2015 AMAs. You can term her as the queen of naked dresses. She herself has worn 5 naked dresses for her shows. And this gown designed by Charbel Zoe is surely a show stealer.

2. Rihanna – Her nearly nude gown worn at 2014 CFDA awards not only was a show stealer at the awards but also was a really hot topic on the internet too. The gown was designed by Adam Selman.

3. Kim Kardashian – She is the queen of controversy and not to forget sexy figure too. And even during her pregnancy when people especially actresses choose to stay indoors she came out wearing a brave enough naked dress.

4. Priyanka Chopra – Our desi girl also rocked the naked dress trend. In this year Oscars she wore the classy white gown with sheer details and a sweetheart neckline. She just stole the show in her diamond hoop earrings and oxblood lipstick.

5. Gwen Stefani – Oscars 2016 was dedicated to a number of naked dresses. The red sheer gown worn by Gwen Stefani was defiantely one of them. She wore a red gown with details only at the correct places. This gown by Yanina Couture definitely was a show stealer for that evening.

6. Freida Pinto – She also have been a talk of the town in terms of fashion. She wore a steel gray naked dress at a film screening. With her red lips and Smokey eyes she rocked the entire outfit.

7. Miley Cyrus – Miley rocked the black naked dress in the AMFAR inspiration gala. She looked very trendy and upbeat with these black gorgeous gown. And she also wore the same outfit in silver colour too.

8. Sophie Choudhary – The MTV goddess looked fabulous here. She rocked a semi naked balck dress designed by Manav Gangwani. And her lower body was entirely covered but she looked equally sexy and breathtakingly beautiful at the IIFA awards.

9. Diane Kruger – Another Hollywood hottie wearing the naked dress. This oxblood colour naked dress simply stole the show at Oscars 2016. The gown was designed by Reem Acra.

10. Sonam Kapoor – Last but not the least, our bollywood Fashionista wore the brave enough naked dress during Neerja promotions. The navy blue midi dress by the brand Self Portrait simply looked stunning.

May ‘Summer Romance’ Edition Sugarbox Unboxing

May ‘Summer Romance’ Edition Sugarbox Unboxing

Hi guys,

There have been a number of subscription boxes in India in the past 2-3 years. One such amazing subscription box called ‘Sugar Box’ launched last year.

It’s a mix of beauty, fashion, lifestyle & gourmet items and all full sized, no samples or deluxe samples.

Sugarbox is a curated box full of exclusive goodies which are hand picked by our team of in-house stylists and epicureans just for you. By subscribing to Sugarbox, you will receive the latest international offerings in fashion, beauty, lifestyle and gourmet products at your doorstep, every month. Not to mention the first bragging rights that come with it!

It is priced at Rs.1499/- for 1 month (when unrevealed), Rs.4197/- for 3 months and so on, a little more discount for more no. of months. If you book the annual subscription plan, the box comes to Rs.1199/- per month which is pretty good.

For the month of May, they have the ‘Summer Romance’ Edition theme, and have all summery, beachy stuff.

Let’s see what all I got in my box..

  • A cute coral off shoulder crop top
  • A beige bucket bag with metallic gold chain detailing
  • A stiff brown summer hat
  • Tropical Cocktail flavour Tang
  • Gulnare Pumpskin Face Wash 60ml
  • Floral Gold Headband
  • Double layered Charm bracelet

I am totally digging off shoulder crop tops these days, and I was so glad when I saw this! Plus the coral colour is so bright and summery, can’t wait to wear it. The bag is pretty amazing too, fabulous quality, quite soft in texture. The gold accents go pretty well with the beige colour. Bucket bags are also IN these days, and this makes a perfect beach bag too. It’s quite spacious and huge, reminds me of my orange bucket bag from StalkBuyLove.

I have never tried the Tropical Cocktail flavour in Tang, so I am looking forward to trying this one. A hat is perfect for summers too, whether on beach or otherwise, a good stylish hat, can take your outfit a notch higher. I am not much into diamante on my accessories, but the stars in the double layered bracelet look quite cute.

The floral headband has to be my favourite, wear it like a proper headband or a little lower like Alia Bhatt in Ladki Beautiful Kar Gayi Chull song, with loose beachy waves for that boho vibe.

I am all about organic skincare and I haven’t tried a Pumpkin face wash yet and nothing from Gulnare skincare, so looking forward to trying this one too.

Book you box HERE, I absolutely recommend them! Since this box, theme and contents are revealed, the price is Rs.1899/-. Totally worth the price, you get products worth much more than what you pay for! I also have a special 20% off coupon code for you all, use ‘bhumika20’ at checkout on everything from individual items to previous boxes, limited edition ones and this Summer Romance Box. Coupon code is not valid on subscription plans though, as they are already discounted 🙂

After discount, this month’s box comes to Rs.1519/- Go for it, I say! If I have to see ‘Value For Money’, this is the best subscription box in India currently! Fabulous job done by Niharika Jhunjunwala, the founder.

Have you tried Sugarbox yet? What do you think of it? Your favourite item?
