Today I am reviewing the 8 new shades added in the Nykaa Matteilicious Range, since I had not tried it before, I have also included a review.

They come in a standard lip crayon packaging, the difference between these and the Pout Perfect ones in terms of packaging is that Pout Perfect has a matching colour cap according to shade while this only has the bottom colour coded with a black cap and Pout Perfect doesn’t come with a sharpener, you need to buy it separately and this one does.
They have a smooth, velvet finish and glide on effortlessly as claimed. They have a velvet matte finish and are very comfortable on the lips. Everything as per claims.
These are not transfer proof and stay for about 5-6 hours without eating or drinking. These do not emphasize dry lips or fine lines, however you would need exfoliated lips before wearing these like any matte lipstick.

I have swatched all the new 8 shades here.
Kiss N Tell is a cool toned apple red, very flattering on all skin tones. I absolutely love this red on me.
Purple Punk is an aubergine purple, but this one is not super opaque like the rest. Slightly patchy
Fired Up is a bright tangerine orange, kind of patchy. Mostly such bright oranges are patchy across brands, I guess it’s the colour pigment.
Lacy Luck is a neutral brown, an everyday wear shade, would work for fair to medium skin tones
Jade Rose is my absolute favourite, a pink brown. It would work for all skin tones, an MLBB for deeper skin tones.
Mocha Sin is a very cool toned grey brown.
Twilight Dreams is another favourite, a deep berry brown shade without red undertones. A perfect fall shade.
Call Me Scarlet is a warm toned red, again suitable for all skin tones.
Apart from the light neutrals, all shades would work across skin tones. And I am glad they launched an interesting mix of shades.
My favourites are Lacy Luck, Jade Rose and Twilight Dreams. Also both the reds are quite pretty, and a matte red lipstick never goes out of trend.
Overall, I do like the lipsticks. Formula is great, shades are nice, very comfortable on the lips. I do recommend these.

Nykaa Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils Review, Swatches

Nykaa has been killing it with new launches day by day. Few weeks ago they had launched the Matte-ilicious Lip Crayons and now these Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils.
I haven’t tried the Matte-ilicious Crayons, but have been trying out these ones since more than a week now.
Here are my thoughts..
Claims: Meet Nykaa’s Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, a triple-action crayon that does it all! This perfectly pigmented crayon gives you the coverage of a matte lipstick, precision of a liner, and blendability of a blusher. The blend of Vitamin E and Shea Butter creates a plush texture that adds youthful plumpness in one hot minute! Line, fill and dab some of it on your cheek for a naturally flushed look.

It comes in the black wooden pencil packaging with a shade matching base. Other crayon from Nykaa comes with a sharpener, so I wish this came with a sharpener too. These are so light weight, that you don’t even feel the box has anything if you hold the outer box.
These are very creamy and buttery, super moisturizing and glide on easily. Very light and comfortable on the lips, easy to carry around and re-apply.
Pigmentation is pretty good too, you get opaque coverage in two swipes. They stay for a pretty good time, I have worn it for 4-5 hours but with meal, they do fade away and have to be re-applied. These are not transfer proof though.
Only thing would be these are not matte, they have a slight sheen to it all the time. There are days when I don’t want something too drying and most of the days currently, so I do reach out for these often.
They come in 6 shades and all are pretty nice and interesting, one from each colour family.

Kiss N Tell Pink is a medium fuchsia pink
Crushing on Pink is a medium peachy pink
Brick Me Red is a rust red
Nude Me Not is a cool toned grey beige/greige
Call Me Red, Darling is a warm coral red
I love Please Plum Me, Kiss N Tell Pink and Nude Me Not. I do recommend these, they are pretty good for the price. I only wish they were a little more matte and came with a sharpener.

The packaging is same as all other Nykaa lipsticks, black and magnetic with the matching shade name cover on the bottom.
The formula, staying power all being same, let me quickly talk about the shades.
They have numbers 21 to 28 from lighter to darkest nudes. 21 to 24 will work for lighter skin tones and 25 to 28 for deeper skin tones. Though the shades 25 to 28 work well on medium to fair skin tones giving it a deep lip look and not a nude lip colour look.

Caramel Mocha is a light nude brown
Royal Honey is warmer than Caramel Mocha and has more brown
Hot Cocoa is a nude mauve
Praline Cookie is the darkest from first four, this is where the darker shades start, as the first three are lighter nudes. It is a nude warm brown, deeper than Caramel Mocha and Royal Honey.

First of all, I love the packaging! It’s all black rectangular packaging with a magnetic cap. For the price, the packaging is very classy!
Also you get 4.2 g product which is the maximum one gets in a lipstick, and I am glad the quantity is good too.
They are super pigmented and you will need two swipes to get even, opaque coverage on the lips. The finish is creamy matte, so they are not dry or powder matte like the MAC Matte or the Chambor Matte Lipsticks. They glide on super easily and feel very comfortable on the lips.
They are not transfer proof and will transfer on all cups, glasses, etc. But the pigment is so strong, that it doesn’t fade on transferring. It stays put for 5-6 hours and with light snacks and tea. With a full meal and oil based food, it will fade. But it does fade evenly and leaves a nice stain behind.
At first, I only liked 3 shades thinking rest of the shades are the usual and nothing different. But when I tried them on, I was like I like this too and this too and it went on 😀
I have divided them into 4 each i.e. in 3 parts for convenience of swatches. Let’s start with the first four.
01 Notorious Red is a true apple red
02 Frisky Fuchsia is a bright fuchsia pink
03 Devious Pink is neutral rosy pink
04 Racy Rose is warm coral pink

Overall, I would say these are a total value for money! In terms of price, quantity, quality, shades, formula, they score on everything. Highly recommend them!
