All New Makeup & Beauty Launches in India, Prices, Shades – Part II

Beauty products and brands are launching in stores and online left, right and centre and it is tough to keep a tab on them. After I did the Part I, here’s the second part of all the recent new launches and products yet to be launched.

1. L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paints Collection

Loreal Paris India has recently launched their playful, colourful youthful, edgy and fun- Infallible Paints collection that consists of the some amazing products to looks forward to. It has the Infallible Paint Chubby Blush in 3 shades (Priced at Rs. 999). These are super saturated, high impact blush paints to get the natural flush, statement pop of colour or sculpted cheekbone with the buildable cream to powder chubby blush paint. The formula glides on with one stroke application, blends effortlessly and sets to powder for a longer wear. Then, the Infallible Lip Paint Matte is launched in 6 shades (Priced at Rs. 799). These are one stroke lip matte paints with the designer applicator precisely diffuses vibrant full-coverage matte lipstick to lips for comfortable wear. Then is the Infallible Paints Eye Shadow in 7 shades (Priced at Rs. 849). These are long wear liquid eye shadow cream duos with these double-ended cream eyeshadow sticks! Next is the Infallible Lip Paint Lacquer in 4 shades (Priced at Rs. 799). Lastly, are the Infallible Paints Eyeliner in 5 shades (Priced at Rs. 845). These are liquid liners which glide on smoothly and easily with 0.1mm precise felt tip.

2. Maybelline New launches

Maybelline came out with the following launches in the past 2 months –

3. Nykaa New Launches

Nykaa went Mega with their new launches. 5 new products were launched along with new shades for the existing range. They launched the Nykaa Get Winged! and Get Inked! Sketch Eyeliner (Priced at Rs. 450). These sketch eyeliners are super long-lasting, smudge-proof formula with innovative, slanted felt tip that gives intense black finish in every stroke. Next is the Nykaa Salon Shine Gel Nail Lacquer (Priced at Rs. 350). These are available in 24 shades. The formula is enriched with light-reflecting pigments that deliver intense shine on application. Nykaa also launched 4 shades of BlendMaster All-Rounder Makeup Perfecting Sponge (Priced at Rs. 425) – one in tear drop shape and the other in the pear shape which are non-disposable, high-definition, latex-free cosmetic sponge applicator that ensures seamless makeup application at all times. Nykaa also launched the SKINgenius Foundation Stick in 6 shades and SKINgenius Sculpting & Hydrating Foundation in 5 shades. Both foundations have light to medium coverage. Nykaa also added few more shades to their existing Paintstix Collection as well as the Nykaa MATTE-ilicious Lip Crayons. Two new compact shades were launched in the range of SKINgenius Skin Perfecting & Hydrating Compact. Nykaa also launched the BlendMaster Oval Brush Set (Priced at Rs. 6190) but the brushes are also available individually. Lastly, they launched the Nykaa eyem24x7 Kajal – Ebony Soul, priced at Rs. 299, Nykaa GLAMOReyes Liquid Eyeliner in 6 shades priced at Rs. 299 and Nykaa BuffMaster Silicone Makeup Brush Cleaner at Rs. 299.

4. Plum Naturstudio All-Day- Wear Kohl Kajals – New Shades and Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel

I already loved the Naturstudio All-Day- Wear Kohl Kajal in Black (their sharpener is amazing!!) and now they have launched more shades called Gemstone Green and Uptown Brown, both are priced at Rs. 495/- each. Coloured eyeliners or kajal are becoming popular day by day and you will love this new launch. These pencils are 100% smudge proof, water-proof and ultra pigmented for stylish all-day wear. Along with that, it is and ophthalmologically tested & approved 100% vegan, rich in Vitamin E for care and protection and not tested on animals. Plum also launched the Green Tea Renewed Clarity Night Gel, priced at Rs. 575. It is best suitable for Normal, oily and combination skin types, even those with acne. It has light gel texture with non-comedogenic ingredients that help skin retain moisture through the night yet soothes the skin. It provides you a balanced hydration.

5. Faces Glam On Velvet Matte Lipstick, Ultime Pro Mystic Kajal, Ultime Pro Liquid Matte Lipsticks and Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon (new shades)

Faces came out with their Glam On Velvet Matte Lipstick, priced at Rs. 549 and available in 12 shades. These have the usual twist-up function and give rich, vibrant and long stay colors and enriched with the goodness of Vitamin E. Therefore despite being matte, they are comfortable on dry lips. They also launched the Ultime Pro Mystic Kajal in 4 shades – blue, dark brown, grey and green, priced at Rs. 599. These have a sharpenable body with a smudger tip at the end. The texture is gel-creamy, smooth and glides like a dream. This kajal is insanely pigmented and gives a long wearing bold look. It is also water proof, smudge-proof and dermatologically tested and approved. Faces already had the Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon but now they launched few more shades and thus the total number of shades is 25. These are one of the best matte crayons for the price in the market. They have also launched Ultime Pro Liquid Matte Lipsticks in 8 shades.

6. CHAMBOR Extreme Eyes Long Wear Kohl Eye Pencil & Rouge Plump++ Lipsticks

This is a new launch from Chambor and again a range of eyeliner pencils. These are launched in 8 shades, priced at Rs. 695. These pencils are sharpenable, richly pigmented and glides on smoothly to create sensual eye look and deliver intense definition for hours. Additionally, these are waterproof and smudge-proof and can be easily used on waterline. The Rouge Plump++ Lipsticks are meant to plump up your lips with amazing colour payoff, they are launched in 25 shades.

7. Sugar Cosmetics

Sugar Cosmetics came out with few new launches some time back. In fact, the new launch mania is still on as well. The SUGAR Never Say Dry Crème Lipstick is available in 5 vibrant shades, priced at Rs. 499. These are intensely pigmented and long-wearing with a baby-soft finish; its creamy texture effortlessly straddles the line between glossy and matte for an easy, everyday look. The high-colour payoff formula is loaded with Vitamin E that locks in both colour and moisture. Next is the SUGAR Plush Hour Matte Lipsticks (Rs.499) in 6 shades. These are super pigmented and have a matte finish, comfortable long-lasting wear and paraben free formula. They also launched few new shades in the range of Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks which are, namely – Greige Rage, Don Fawn, Wooed By Nude, Teak Mystique, Blush Rush, Bare Flair, Fiery Berry, Divine Praline, Jet Set Violet and Cocoa Ammo. Apart from that, they launched Arrested For Overstay Waterproof Eyeliner, priced at Rs. 699 and Arch Arrival Brow Definer in two shades, priced at Rs. 699. Sugar also launched three shades called Baby Houseman, Murphy Brown and Violet Crawley in their Matte As Hell Lip Crayons, priced at Rs.799 each. SUGAR is going to launch 18 eyeshadow quads called Blend The Rules Eyeshadow Quad and 2 Palettes

8. PAC Cosmetics

PAC Cosmetics are surely on a roll with new launches as well. Here’s the list of products and information from their Instagram page. (All new launches reviewed on the blog HERE)

  • PAC HD Foundations (Rs. 795) with 3-4 new shades to the existing range.
  • PAC Retro Matte Gloss (Rs. 550) with another few more new shades to the existing
    range of 40 shades.
  • PAC ‘Slim and Slimmer Mascara’ with dual ended brush which is ultra thin., priced Rs.595
  • PAC Clean Slate wipes for removing makeup, priced at Rs. 599
  • PAC eyebrow palette with 12 slots. (Rs.1695)
  • PAC Micro Finish Makeup Fixer, which is a finishing spray. (price unknown)
  • 3 new eye shadow palettes- Matte, Spark, Sprinkle, priced at Rs.1175 and 1395
  • An eye shadow primer called PAC Canvas Shadow Primer, Rs.695
  • Last is the PAC ‘Diamond Powder’ which is loose shimmer/glitter, priced at Rs. 795.
  • PAC has added 6 new brushes numbered PAC Brush 255 at Rs.645, Brush 256 –Rs.545, Brush 353 Rs.795, Brush 272 at Rs.595, Brush 274 at Rs.595, Brush 258 at Rs.675.

9. Kama Ayurveda Natural Sun Protection SPF21 – Sunscreen with Essential Oils

Kama Ayurveda launched Natural Sun Protection priced at Rs.1350. It is a daily-use sunscreen with all-natural ingredients to give full-spectrum sun protection and a boost of hydration. It is Non-Nano- (Free from the coarser Non-nano particles block sun rays by forming a shield without being absorbed into the bloodstream), safe for children with all Natural With PA++, SPF 21 blocks UVA and UVB sun rays.

10. Colorbar Aquafeel Foundation and Kiss Me Again Lip Tint

Colorbar has come out with ‘Kiss Me Again Lip Tints’ in two shades called Dont Stop and All Yours. These are subtle lip tints with creamy and richly pigmented aqueous solution which is free of harmful chemicals and effortlessly glides over your lips to give you a silky natural tint whilst its formula with Vitamin E leaves you with a lingering sweet taste. Further it is alcohol, paraben, phenoxyethanol and fragrance free. These are priced at Rs. 550. Next is the Colorbar Aquafeel Foundation, priced at Rs. 550 and available in only 3 shades. It is water-based liquid foundation that gives smooth, flawless finish with long-lasting, medium to high coverage and it is paraben-free and fragrance free.

11. Oriflame Pure Skin Face Wash, Face Lotion, Face Toner

Oriflame came out with the Pure Skin Purifying Face Wash Price – Rs.399, Pure Skin Refreshing Face Toner Price – Rs.399 and Pure Skin Mattifying Face Lotion Price – Rs.399. the Pure Skin Purifying Face Wash is an oil-free gel wash featuring natural Pomegranate Extract and Detect Technology featuring Salicylic Acid. It cleanses away impurities and reduces excess shine, leaving skin refreshed and purified. The Pure Skin Refreshing Face Toner removes last traces of impurities after cleansing and helps to leave skin purified and visibly shine-free while the Pure Skin Mattifying Face Lotion is a light-textured, oil-free lotion, formulated with natural guava extract and detect technology featuring salicylic acid as it moisturises, prevents blemishes and instantly reduces excess sebum to control shine.

12. Himalaya Youth Eternity Day Cream, Night Cream and Under Eye Cream

Himalaya Youth Eternity is infused with the restorative and regenerative stem cells of Edelweiss and herbal active extracts of Rose Myrtle, Fire Flame Bush and Cipadessa baccifera. This new collection includes 3 products – Day Cream, Night Cream and Under Eye Cream. Youth Eternity Day Cream (Rs.499 for 50ml) is a light, non-greasy, fast-absorbing day cream with a powerful blend of botanical extracts that reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and re-plump the skin, leaving it looking healthier and younger. Youth Eternity Night Cream (Rs.499 for 50ml) is rich in powerful antioxidants, polyphenols, and anti-aging properties, works overnight to provide intense hydration, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, leaving skin even-toned, healthy, and visibly youthful. Lastly, Youth Eternity Under Eye Cream (Rs.525 for 15ml) gently nourishes and hydrates the tender skin around the eyes, leaving it remarkably bright, healthy, and youthful.

13. NYX Stripped Off Micellar Cleansing Water

NYX is going to launch Stripped Off Micellar Cleansing Water which is to be priced at Rs. 750 for 400ml and to be launched around end of October. It is a light weight micellar water that takes off every layer of makeup, dirt and dust from the face with a refreshing scent and amazing feel. For the price they also gave a good amount of product and something you sure really look forward to.

14. Innisfree ‘Black Green Tea Skin’ Range

The Innisfree Black Green Tea Mask (Price – Rs. 1900 / 80ml) is infused with a special water holding technology which helps by meshing moisture with the skin after application. The mask therefore, helps in the exfoliation of the skin and keeps it fresh, clean, smooth and moisturized. The Black Green Tea Serum (Price – Rs. ​30​00 / 50ml) has a new essence formula, stabilized with fine particles in turn ensuring all the benefits of antioxidants and moisture to the skin. Lastly, Black Green Tea Cream (Price – Rs. 2700 / 60ml) is rich in texture and is full of nutrients and moisture and consequently glides over the skin forming a coat of moisture while providing paramount nourishment and hydration to keep it moisturized.

15. HUDA BEAUTY

Yes, I saved the best for the last. HUDA BEAUTY is officially coming to India and this is one of the huge news for the beauty industry. The news was confirmed after Huda Kattan’s interview with Vogue India and is also available on their official website. From October 2017, you’ll be able to shop the full Huda Beauty collection online at Nykaa.com. Huda has launched a series of beauty products which are irresistible and now you can get your hands on them without paying huge amounts to the Instagram sellers! HUDA BEUATY has various products like HUDA Beauty Desert Dusk Palette, Liquid Matte Lipsticks, Primer, Faux Filter Foundation, 3D Highlighter Palette, Lip Strobe and Eyelashes. Although the prices are not yet confirmed, hope they would launch every product available on their line including the new launch of Primer and Faux Filter Foundation.

What have you already tried from these and what are you most excited about? I hope Huda Beauty prices match their original prices and are not double of original price like theBalm, etc.

Nykaa Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils Review, Swatches

Nykaa has been killing it with new launches day by day. Few weeks ago they had launched the Matte-ilicious Lip Crayons and now these Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencils.

I haven’t tried the Matte-ilicious Crayons, but have been trying out these ones since more than a week now.

Here are my thoughts..

Claims: Meet Nykaa’s Pout Perfect Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, a triple-action crayon that does it all! This perfectly pigmented crayon gives you the coverage of a matte lipstick, precision of a liner, and blendability of a blusher. The blend of Vitamin E and Shea Butter creates a plush texture that adds youthful plumpness in one hot minute! Line, fill and dab some of it on your cheek for a naturally flushed look.

  • Plush, velvet matte finish
  • Enriched with Vitamin E and Shea Butter
  • No feathering
  • One stroke application
  • Super long-wearing
  • Glides on effortlessly

It comes in the black wooden pencil packaging with a shade matching base. Other crayon from Nykaa comes with a sharpener, so I wish this came with a sharpener too. These are so light weight, that you don’t even feel the box has anything if you hold the outer box.

These are very creamy and buttery, super moisturizing and glide on easily. Very light and comfortable on the lips, easy to carry around and re-apply.

Pigmentation is pretty good too, you get opaque coverage in two swipes. They stay for a pretty good time, I have worn it for 4-5 hours but with meal, they do fade away and have to be re-applied. These are not transfer proof though.

Only thing would be these are not matte, they have a slight sheen to it all the time. There are days when I don’t want something too drying and most of the days currently, so I do reach out for these often.

They come in 6 shades and all are pretty nice and interesting, one from each colour family.

Please Plum Me is a deep aubergine/plum

Kiss N Tell Pink is a medium fuchsia pink

Crushing on Pink is a medium peachy pink

Brick Me Red is a rust red

Nude Me Not is a cool toned grey beige/greige

Call Me Red, Darling is a warm coral red

I love Please Plum Me, Kiss N Tell Pink and Nude Me Not. I do recommend these, they are pretty good for the price. I only wish they were a little more matte and came with a sharpener.

To start with the packaging, it has color coded matching outer cover and black body. The packaging is similar to the MAC Liptensity lipsticks and looks very classy from the outside. The inner part however is flimsy and plasticky, it’s not very sturdy and the body shakes a bit. Also the bullets are not very sturdy, one of my lipstick bullet came off on it’s own. I had not even started swatching them or using them, just opening and twisting, maybe one was already broken.

But if you drop them once, the lipstick bullet will break and come off. I like the So Matte magnetic packaging more as it was sturdier comparatively. You have to be very careful with this one.

Also the shape of the lipstick bullet is flat and I hate applying lipsticks which are flat on top as application on the edges of the lips is very difficult and the lipstick goes everywhere :/ You have to use the tip on the edges, but the flat shape often goes outside.

Formula though is pretty good! These are super pigmented, all these hand swatches are 1.5-2 swipes each like I didn’t even need to go two full times over them. Same for my lips, in two swipes you get complete, opaque coverage. See in the swatches video, I wanted to show that specifically.

These have a semi matte finish again, but are more pigmented and rich in colour compared to So Matte. These stay for 4-5 hours, and even longer without eating or drinking. With eating, it will fade from the center but leaves a strong tint behind which stays on throughout. I like the staying power

These are very moisturising nad comfortable on the lips. I love the shade selection they have, everything from nudes and pinks to deep purples and browns. A perfect shade range, also the affordable price tag!

I have divided them into six each, 1 to 6 and 7 to 12 for convenience.

01 Nude Spice is a cool toned nude

02 Cool Girl Nude is a more deeper nude brown, again cool toned

03 No Chill Orange is a bright, warm orange

04 Peaches N Cream is a beautiful peachy pink mix

05 Tender Rose is a cool toned bright rosy pink

06 Chick Flick Pink is a deep pinky brown

07 Rock N Roll Pink is a bright fuchsia pink

08 Purple Monster is a bluish purple

09 Bombshell Berry is a deep berry

10 Rebellious Red is a bright cool toned red, reminds me a little of MAC Ruby Woo. Of course formula wise, completely different

11 Hearts N Kisses is a warmer red

12 Grunge Brown is a deep, dark chocolate brown

Also another con would be the shade name is only mentioned on the outer box, I had to remove those stickers and stick them on the lipstick, as the actual lipsticks only have numbers.

My favourite shades are Cool Girl Nude, Peaches N Cream, Tender Rose, Chick Flick Pink, Rock N Roll Pink, Rebellious Red and Grunge Brown. I know I have many favourites 😀 Even like the first Nude Spice, perfect everyday shade. Even Peaches N Cream and Tender Rose are good everyday wear shades.

The packaging is same as all other Nykaa lipsticks, black and magnetic with the matching shade name cover on the bottom.

The formula, staying power all being same, let me quickly talk about the shades.

They have numbers 21 to 28 from lighter to darkest nudes. 21 to 24 will work for lighter skin tones and 25 to 28 for deeper skin tones. Though the shades 25 to 28 work well on medium to fair skin tones giving it a deep lip look and not a nude lip colour look.

Royal Honey is warmer than Caramel Mocha and has more brown

Hot Cocoa is a nude mauve

Praline Cookie is the darkest from first four, this is where the darker shades start, as the first three are lighter nudes. It is a nude warm brown, deeper than Caramel Mocha and Royal Honey.

First of all, I love the packaging! It’s all black rectangular packaging with a magnetic cap. For the price, the packaging is very classy!

Also you get 4.2 g product which is the maximum one gets in a lipstick, and I am glad the quantity is good too.

They are super pigmented and you will need two swipes to get even, opaque coverage on the lips. The finish is creamy matte, so they are not dry or powder matte like the MAC Matte or the Chambor Matte Lipsticks. They glide on super easily and feel very comfortable on the lips.

They are not transfer proof and will transfer on all cups, glasses, etc. But the pigment is so strong, that it doesn’t fade on transferring. It stays put for 5-6 hours and with light snacks and tea. With a full meal and oil based food, it will fade. But it does fade evenly and leaves a nice stain behind.

At first, I only liked 3 shades thinking rest of the shades are the usual and nothing different. But when I tried them on, I was like I like this too and this too and it went on 😀

I have divided them into 4 each i.e. in 3 parts for convenience of swatches. Let’s start with the first four.

01 Notorious Red is a true apple red

02 Frisky Fuchsia is a bright fuchsia pink

03 Devious Pink is neutral rosy pink

04 Racy Rose is warm coral pink

Overall, I would say these are a total value for money! In terms of price, quantity, quality, shades, formula, they score on everything. Highly recommend them!

My favourites are Frisky Fuchsia, Orange Vice, Wicked Wine, Mischievous Plum, Taupe Thrill and Naughty N*de.

Hello everyone. I was jumping with excitement when I spotted L.A. Girl on Nykaa. Finally, a well-priced amazing quality product launched in India! I placed a huge order immediately and to my surprise, every product turned out to be a blockbuster for me. L.A. Girl is one of the most raved budgeted brands in abroad and if you follow beauty bloggers on YouTube you would know that some of the product are like Holy Grail. Although all the products are not launched in India for now and I really hope they do that in future. For now, let’s get on with the best L.A. Girl products that we can easily access without paying heavy duty charges.

1. L.A. Girl PRO Conceal HD High Definition Concealer – 535 INR

I had start off the list with this one. There had been million times I wished I could have them and finally when I saw them online (with reasonable price tag) I bought it. The High Definition Concealers are one of the bestsellers from the brand. They come in a small light weight tube with a synthetic brush attached to apply the product. It has a creamy light texture, the coverage is medium to buildable and blends on the skin like a dream. It helps to banish the appearance of all imperfections and blemishes, ensuring that the skin emits nothing but purity, clarity and decadence whilst simultaneously maintaining a natural finish. It comes in around 20 shades and 3 color correctors so you will surely find a match. The product is so versatile that it will conceal, corrector, contour and highlight for you when you go for the right shade. This is a must have product for everyone.

2. L.A. Girl Glide Gel Liner – 450 INR

A gel liner in a pencil form? Absolutely yes. The Glide Gel Liners are available in 19 shades and comes in a slender pencil form and has to be sharpened for usage. The texture is creamy smooth and feels literally nothing when you apply. The formula glides on the eyelids and waterline equally smooth, imparts a richly pigmented color that is guaranteed to make a statement. Thus, you wear it as a kajal, eyeliner and even provide a base for smoky eyes. The formula is Cruelty-free, waterproof and smudge proof. It is a closer match of the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil.

3. L.A. Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss – 575 INR

The L.A. Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss is available in 15 beautiful shades. The packaging is of a plastic cylindrical one with a doe footed applicator. The texture is creamy-liquid and spreads on the lips well. Although it says gloss, the liquid dries up on the lips giving a flat matte finish and deep rich saturation of color. The color doesn’t bleed or stains at all but has a slight drying touch so exfoliation of lips is a must! The smell is a slight put off but I love the matte formula it gives and lasts the whole day on the lips. (Warning: The lighter shades are beautiful, the darker ones are a little patchy!)

4. L.A. Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipstick – 550 INR

If flat matte isn’t your cup of tea, go for this one. The L.A. Girl Matte Flat Velvet Lipsticks are available in 26 shades, ranging from nudes, reds, browns, pinks, mauves and even blue and black. The lipstick has the traditional bullet packaging with a creamy soft formula that not only imparts high-opacity color to the lips, but also deeply conditions and nourishes at a cellular level, resulting in a soft, supple and hydrated finish. It has a satin matte finish and lasts long on the lips.

5. L.A. Girl Velvet Contour Sticks – 750-800 INR

The L.A. Girl Velvet Contour Sticks are divided into three categories – blush, bronzer and highlighter. The product has a fat and chubby packaging with retractable function. It glides on the skin very smoothly, deposits rich amount of color and blends very easily without any patchiness. It is infuses Jojoba See Oil and Shea Butter to deeply nourish and condition the skin even at its deepest layers but doesn’t make the skin oily. The variety of color, easy to apply method with Paraben and Cruelty-free formula and long lasting nature makes it worth the steal.

6. L.A. Girl HD Pro BB Cream – 650 INR

L.A. Girl HD Pro BB Cream comes in 8 shades which is excellent because Indian skin tones vary a lot and a mere 2-3 shades are surely not sufficient. It has a light creamy texture that comes in a tube form. The BB cream gives a medium to buildable coverage and a perfect choice for every day wear and you can easily skip the foundation. It is enriched with the goodness of Vitamin B3, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E, doesn’t breakout cruelty-free product and also paraben and fragrance free. The finish is somewhere between dewy and matte and also long lasting on skin. it never broke me out despite having acne prone skin.

7. L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint Gloss – 650 INR

This is a close dupe of the Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick. The L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint Gloss comes in a tube applicator and has a texture of a gloss with the color-payoff of a liquid lipstick. It gives a nice coverage on the lips and feels very hydrating all day long. It is infused with the skin nourishing Vitamin E and the ultra-cooling Peppermint Oil that deeply nourishes the lips at a cellular level. The only con is that it is transfers a lot.

8. L.A. Girl Beauty Brick Blush – 999 INR

The Beauty Brick Blush is available in 4 variety of shades and would suit every complexion. Each palette has 4 shade – 2blushes, 1 bronzer/contour powder and 1highlighter. It has a pressed powder formulation with matte and shimmery finishes for multidimensional color. The colors are nice pigmented, cruelty and paraben free and extremely great when you are travelling as you won’t have to carry too many products. They blend seamlessly and lasts fairly long on the skin. For the price, it is a steal.

9. L.A. Girl Pro Prep HD Smoothing Face Primer – 850 INR

Primer is very essential to make the makeup last long and the Pro Prep HD Smoothing Face Primer is a star product. It gives a smooth appearance by filling in fines line and pores while providing the perfect surface for foundation. It is formulated with light diffusing particles and skin nourishing Vitamin E giving you a flawless finish on or off camera. It is best suited for oily to combination skin and is completely paraben and fragrance free. It helps the makeup stay on longer in humid weather too.

10. L.A. Girl Pro HD Setting Powder – 1000 INR

Baking is the trend of the season and the L.A. Girl Pro HD Setting Powder makes the job very easy for us. It has super fine milled texture and the powder is translucent in color which is why it won’t provide any coverage but set the makeup seamlessly. It doesn’t reflect any whitish cast and photographs extremely well. It has been formulated it 100% Mineral Silica that provide a super luxurious finish, setting the makeup perfectly. The product will last long and is also cruelty-free product paraben and fragrance free.

Editor’s Note: Already ordered the Pro HD Concealers and highly recommend them, also the orange corrector for correcting Indian dark circles. The BB Cream and Contour Sticks are next on the list. Matte Pigment Gloss I would love to try the lighter shades, the darker ones are very crumbly and patchy, so check the review of each shade before ordering.

March 2016 ‘More Power To You’ Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

I just now got the March Fab Bag, it’s the ‘More Power To You’ Women’s Day/Month theme.

It’s a metallic silver textured bag and I knew the Sugar Cosmetics Matte Lipstick is a part of the bag coz I saw it on their Instagram page and assumed it would be this brand.

Let’s see what all I got:

  • Nyassa Tiramisu Body Scrub (30g)- Rs.900/- for 200g

I really like the Wella Pro Elements Range, read my review HERE. It is SLS and paraben free and perfect for colored/treated hair, this deluxe sample size is perfect to try out and/or for travel.

I am loving the Sugar Matte Lipstick, love their Matte Crayon too, so was looking forward to the lipstick. Quite excited to try that out. It comes in this magenta pink shade, a muted berry, a nude and a coral.

I have 3-4 of Nykaa nail paints and they are quite decent, I love this summery shade and would definitely be wearing it.

The Nyassa Tiramisu Body Scrub smells amazing, but since it’s a body scrub, this 30g sample would only work once.

Overall, I would say it’s a mixed bag, not a must have but pretty decent if you are into matte lipsticks and wanted to try the Wella Pro Elements Range, a nail paint and bag are added bonus 😀

The value of the products come to around Rs.1200/- which is still not bad and the deluxe sizes are decent too.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Today I am reviewing the much raved about Bioderma Sensibio H2O. Bioderma is a French pharmacy brand and most of the Bioderma products are now available in India and they are looking at more distribution soon 🙂 Micellar Cleansing Water is what quite a few brands offer, I have tried the Vichy one too. (Review coming soon). It is basically a water based cleanser/makeup remover.

What the Company claims: Sensitive to intolerant skin. Sensibio H2O is the 1st and only dermatological micellar water perfectly compatible with the skin: its fatty acid esters, the constituent elements of micelles, are similar to the phospholipids of the skin cell membranes and naturally help rebuild the skin’s hydrolipidic film.

Benefits: Combines performance and very high tolerance
Cleanses and removes make-up from the face and eyes
Soothes and clears up irritated skin
Produces a feeling of instant freshness

Directions to use: Morning and/or evening – 7 days a week
Soak a cotton pad with Sensibio H2O.
Gently cleanse and/or remove make-up from your face and eyes.
Re-apply until the cotton pad becomes clean.
Lightly dab your face with a clean cotton towel.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Peg-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Propylene Glycol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Mannitol, Xylitol, Rhamnose, Fructooligosaccharides, Disodium Edta, Cetrimonium Bromide.

Essentially Bioderma products are safe for sensitive skin and this product Sensibio H2O is specially made for sensitive skin and hence it is very gentle on the skin.

I love the fact that it comes in different variants,and this small 100ml bottle is perfect to carry for your travels.

It has a small,round bottle transparent packaging with a pink flip cap. It looks and feels exactly like water,as do all micellar cleansing water.  It is fragrance free. It comes with a sealed lock, so you can be assured your product is not tampered.

You just soak a cotton pad with this and remove all your makeup. It melts the base and gets it all off in a jiffy,90% of your makeup including the water proof one,comes off with this.

My only concern was it did burn my eyes a bit, I have read reviews where it worked really well for removing eye makeup, but then maybe it is just me, coz all makeup removers burn my eyes a bit. And I cannot get rid of waterproof mascara and a long staying kajal with this. Even if I just let it stay on the eyes and don’t rub but if a bit of it seeps in, eyes start burning :/ Though it does not burn as much as a few other makeup removers.

The best thing about Bioderma Sensibio H2O is that,it is very gentle and mild on the skin and there is no stickiness or greasiness at all. You can just cleanse your face and let it be,without using anything else. I usually like to end with a face wash, coz I like my face to be squeaky clean 🙂

Here is the before,after..I had heavy base makeup and full on contouring done in this pic and it removed every bit of the base.

As you can see the kajal is still on the waterline and I dare not use this near the waterline, coz even while removing the mascara it burns my eyes a bit.

Overall I would say, it is the perfect makeup remover for someone with sensitive skin and/or use on a daily basis. It is mild and gentle, does not irritate the skin at all, removes 90% of the makeup. But if you are someone with very sensitive eyes like mine, be a little careful of using it near the eyes.

The 100ml bottle is slightly on the expensive side,I would recommend getting a 200ml bottle as that is more economical. But if you need something for your travel kit, you can get the 100ml one.
