Unboxing & Review: September 2015 Anniversary Fab Bag
Hi guys,
I received the September Fab Bag today and I recorded, edited and uploaded this video all today 😀 So that you can decide whether or not to order the September Fab Bag.
This is their 3rd anniversary bag. It is a red and black glittery pouch. I am not a fan of glitter pouch as such, but it is big enough and good for travel.
Products I got in the bag:
Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer in Medium- Full size (Rs.550/-)
Kama Ayurveda Rose Water (Full size Rs.250/- for 50ml)
Just Herbs Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir (Full size- Rs.985/- for 15ml)
Skinn by Titan Celeste for Women and Raw for Men – 2ml samples (Full size- Rs.990/- for 50ml)
Now I was quite excited to read ‘theBalm’ at first, but then noticed a small 1.2 ml sample and got a bit disappointed. I wanted a bigger sample, at least a deluxe one. Not very happy with the small perfume samples too, the 9-10 ml body mists are much better which I got in previous bags than this tiny 1-2 ml vials.
I love the fact that there are 3 full sized products though one is a smaller bottle i.e. the Kama Ayurveda Rose Water. I have used it before and I quite like the Kama facial sprays. I am happy with the Makeup Revolution full sized concealer too and the Just Herbs Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir. I have used such facial oils/serums before and I have always loved them, so looking forward to trying this one.
Overall, I am happy with the bag but I got a bit excited thinking it would be something very unique since it is the Anniversary issue. A deluxe sized theBalm product would have been perfect, but nonetheless it is a good bag and I recommend it. Only make sure you get the concealer in your shade match.
What the Company claims: The new Amla hair oil bottle comes up with a new tamper proof flip top, which locks 100% nourishment and enables easy flow of oil in comparison to earlier bottle with a removable cap. Help controls the quantity and ease of use.

Directions: Massage your scalp with Dabur Amla Hair Oil
Leave overnight for best results
Shampoo next morning to get healthy, lustrous hair
MRP: Rs.42/- for 90ml (plus 20% extra currently-108ml)
As I mentioned in the previous post, I have not been oiling my hair much from the last one year or so and does the need some nourishment as it has also turned drier.
I got to try this new Dabur Amla Hair Oil. I like the new packaging and the flip cap which shuts tight, does not spill and dispenses only the desired quantity. It has that typical amla oil smell, but does not bother me much and a light green tint.
With the change of weather and water, my scalp is super itchy these days. I really needed something to soothe the scalp and reduce the itchiness and flakiness. It did exactly that and the scalp feels so much better.
Its not very sticky and heavy and does not give the chip chip feel. I did not notice longer or thicker hair as such, coz I anyways have a good length of hair and it grows quickly and also coz the time period is still too less to conclude that. Stronger yes, also coz of less irritation to the scalp and less dandruff issues in winters, if oiled regularly.
But one needs to use it continuously to see results. Amla also helps people with premature greying of hair. Those who use amla oil regularly from a young age still have rich, dark hair in their old age. (Have seen quite a few examples)
I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil Review
What the Company claims: Wake up to beautiful skin with new Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil, a technical innovation combining the power of a serum and oil to indulge, replenish and recharge skin with moisture overnight.
Directions: Apply a few drops in the palm of your hands and gently rub together to warm. Apply on the face and the neck with a gentle patting motion. Using fingertips, massage in small circular movements over forehead, cheeks, around mouth and chin area.
MRP: Rs.1695/- for 28ml
Ok so to start with, let me tell you, I loveee serums and oils…mostly use one every night, if at all, I am not trying out an overnight cream or something. (Which is rare these days..skin on a testing spree :/)
It comes in a small pink glass bottle with a dropper. The serum is transparent and clear..it feels like a very light oil. You just need 2-3 drops, blend in your hands and lightly apply over the face and neck.
It has a sweet fragrance..I am not too fond of perfumes and fragrance in my serums and oils unless it is a natural one like lavender essential oil. If you read the ingredients list above, you see many ingredients being used just for fragrance which I think could have been avoided.
Coming to the texture of it, it is so super light..sinks in the skin under a minute. No oiliness or greasiness. And the skin feels super soft and plump the next day. Vitamin E also helps in fading your acne marks, etc. If you have dry skin or dry patches, it will help you get rid of the patches within a week. Skin feels better and better every morning with regular use.
Pros:
1. Super light in texture.
2. Sinks in the skin and no oiliness or greasiness.
3. Skin feels super soft and plump the next morning…no dry patches.
4. Has a blend of oils in ingredients like wheatgerm, sweet almond, sunflower, jojoba, sesame and Vitamin E and glycerin which are all amazing for the skin.
5. You just need 2-3 drops, so 28ml would last a long time.
6. It may be slightly expensive but when compared to other serums in that category, its half their price.
Cons:
1. Glass bottle not travel friendly.
2. I would have liked it without the added fragrance ingredients.
Overall, I would say its quite nice and perfect for dry to normal skin..works for my combination skin too. Oily skin should try it in winters. I love how skin is more softer and smoother with it, the next morning..and also gets the dose of some hydrating oils in a serum form which is quite light on the skin. Recommended!
I also love the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, but that it priced at Rs.2750/- for 30ml. If I have to choose one, I would go with Kiehl’s coz I like it a little bit more 😀 But I would definitely suggest trying out this Vitamin E Serum-in-Oil and if you are getting it at 20-30% off on sales, surely grab it!

1.7 fl. oz Bottle- $68.00
It has this dark blue packaging with a black dipper cap. The dipper helps you get the exact quantity..i.e 2-3 drops of it. I quite liked the packaging..the only thing is since its glass it needs to be handled with care..though the glass is quite thick to break just like that.
The main ingredient being evening primrose oil and lavender oil..it has a wonderful smell..which even helps you sleep better..you just need 2-3 drops of it..and so it lasts real real long.
I am using it from the last 3 weeks and its still almost full. I love the lavender smell..its quite soothing. It does make the skin appear healthier and plumper the next day. Even though its a serum and has oils in it..the texture is not sticky or oily..and gets instantly absorbed into the skin. If you have had a stressful or tired skin of late and need to attend an important event…this thing would help you for sure !
Pros:
1. Quite like the ingredients.

7. Does what it claims.
8. Would help replenish tired skin.
Cons:
1. Has to be stored well..away from light and handled with care.
No other cons as such..I would surely recommend it..in fact it has been recommended by 93% of people on their site too. I would suggest you to try this..especially if you are a bride to be. And I found it much better than the Lancome Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate which is priced almost double and did not do anything for my skin at all.

I liked all the ingredients in it..loved knowing them more and getting more info from Google..I think this oil has all the perfect and essential good ingredients for the skin.
Its a thick yellow oil and the mountain spice which settles down in the bottle can be seen. It has a strong smell though.
Pros:
1. A perfect blend of essential ingredients for the skin. 2. I liked the fact that all the ingredients were stated with %. 3. Its a nice body massage oil and perfect for using it before bath. 4. Has a flip cap bottle which is easy to use. 5. Moisturises skin well and keeps it supple…and would suit dry skin more..though I feel its little greasy for summers.
Cons:
1. Its a little thick oil and takes a lot of time in absorbing completely..its good for winters. 2. Has a strong herbal spices smell. 3. This is a body oil and at 100 ml quantity it would get used up in 3-4 times if used all over the body..and hence the price of 250 is a little expensive..or I think they should increase the quantity. 4. Availability in other States is an issue. 5. I am a little sceptical about the preservatives written at the end.
Overall I liked the herbal and natural ingredients in the skin and love the quality of it.

Would I buy it again: May be for winters…I do not like the greasy feeling of oil in summers.
P.S: Product sent by brand for review but it has not affected my opinion.
This oil is a concoction of kesar, almond oil and olive oil. It gives a light yellowish tint in the bottle but comes out transparent. Its the lightest oil I have ever seen !! It just sinks into the skin and gets absorbed super fast.It has an amazing kesar smell which I lovee..
What the Company claims : A special ayurvedic preparation of aroma oils with pure kesar, the active ingredients like almond oil, wheat germ oil give nourishing effect to skin when massage. Method of use : It is useful for nails cracking problems and gives nourishing effect to whole body. An ideal preparation for body massage.
It does contain kesar strands which are seen in the bottle. It comes with a plastic cap tightly closed. So you can carry it around without the fear of it spilling.
Pros: 1. Its the perfect after shower oil..and gets absorbed easily into the skin…I use it on damp skin. 2. I use it on my face too..though its mentioned body oil but what it contains is nothing harmful and are just oils..its non comodogenic..it never broke me out..instead took care of my flakes in this winter. 3. Has an awesome kesar smell which is very light. 4. Its much better than those thick oils which makes one feel greasy as this is very light and seeps into the skin. 5. Comes with a tight cap which I have removed aside as I am not carrying it with me. 6. Economical at this price…and its gonna stay long too. 7. I sometimes use it at night and wake up to a super soft skin in the morning.
Cons: 1. The packaging is kinda ok…some oil spills out while using in a hurry and spreads. 2. Does not moisturise enough the dry parts like elbows…and the moisturisation stays for just 3-4 hours in winters. 3. Availability as for all Khadi products. 4. For people who would want to keep it capped will have to risk their nails in opening the cap whenever you use it..

Would I buy it again: Yes I would..I really liked it..though I have not used Fabindia’s oils or Rogan Badam Shirin which i would like to try..but I would surely get this..
