5 Simple Tips That Can Make Online Saree Shopping Easy and Fun
Guest Post
Going Saree Shopping? Wait a minute. Have you decided on the type of saree you would want to pick? If yes, it is within your budget? And above all, where are you planning to buy it from? Answer all of these questions and you still have a few more at the back of your mind.
Online Saree shopping can make things a lot easier. With an extensive range of Sarees in store, you are most likely to end up with one that you have been looking for. Online stores are also known to offer heavy discounts throughout the year.
However, if you have never shopped online before, things might seem a bit tough. Here are 5 simple tips that can make online Saree Shopping Easy and Fun.
Compare them all
Go to Google and simply type in, “Best Online Saree Store”. You will be left with innumerable options to choose from. A slight comparison can help you pick the right one. This is when online testimonials can largely supplement your research.
Browse till you get it
Once you have chosen an online store, it’s time to browse through the collection. It may take a few minutes, or may be an hour if there’s something too precise you are looking for. But, that’s ok. After all, you would not like to pick something that’s not on your list, would you?
Discounts make you happy
Find out if the Saree you have chosen is eligible for a discount. Some online Saree stores let you apply a specific discount coupon code to every purchase you make. Interestingly, a few discounts are capable of saving you up to 40% on your total purchase value, which is truly amazing. While checking out, you will be prompted to use coupon codes, in case you have any. If you do, simply enter them in the space provided, and the discount will be applied to the final cost.
Use your credit card, why not?
Those not fully aware of the online transaction mechanism are of the opinion that online payments are risky. Well, not so. Online stores have highly secured systems in place ensuring complete security of every transaction made over the network.
Don’t worry, get it replaced
If for some reason you are not quite satisfied with the delivered product, you can always apply for a refund. However, it is crucial that you do it within the refund period set by the store.
Online stores nowadays offer wide range of exclusive and designer sarees from leading fashion designers. Hence you have a plethora of collection to choose from. So, when you can shop online sitting right in your couch comfortably and at the same time surf various sites for your desired saree, why to drive miles and hunt for stores outside? However, you also save a huge amount of time and of course a lot more extra bucks. Indeed online Saree shopping was never so easy and fun.
So I had ordered for a beautiful beige lace maxi dress with a deep V back for my DJ function which is on 4th Dec but it has still not arrived :/
Hence,my 2nd option is this pretty black lace dress. This dress is perfect for a party, including a formal party, or a late night event, etc. Its formal and pretty at the same time.
The length needs some altering I believe, would check.
I paired it with my favourite Colorbar Darkened Summer Lipstick in Wild Mauve and gold dangling earrings with hair on one side. I intend to go for side swept curls for the function.
I don’t usually like cap sleeves coz it makes the arms look fatter which is also my problem area.
A gold cuff in one hand and black gold studded gladiator heels to finish the look. I might go for my Dune London shoes, still thinking. I plan to change into my red polka dots Wills Lifestyle knee length dress (which I had shared on my Instagram and twitter) later while dancing 😀
I am back with an OOTD. This time with matching separates. I have worn crop top before HERE and HERE. But never a matching separates pair.
This time its a crop top and a skirt in floral mint. Loved the pink and white roses print on the pale green.Since the top has a zip upto the top,I skipped a necklace. Only accessorized it with a gold hollow design cuff and gold midi rings. And my new favourite studded tan ankle strap block heels.
I think a size bigger would have been more comfortable but it was out of stock and I felt like trying this. Though it fits well, I think I need to loose a bit more for this :p
There are a lot of options when it comes to the white wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses or prom dresses and more online websites too. One get confused as to which is the best site and where to buy from.
You get amazing evening dresses on Asos. And there are few others I like Oasap, Romwe, Sheinside, etc.
But when its an exclusive only wedding gowns website, you know you would get the best designs, fabrics and customization done. From lace to silk to taffeta. Backless lace to the fluffy mesh to the long trains. The gorgeous colors like royal blue, champagne, deep purple, baby pink to 60 more options.
One such website is WeddingShe. Beautiful designs, I love so many of them! A big wishlist on my account :p They have beautiful ‘Mother of the Bride’ dresses too and some not so heavy ones for the pre wedding functions too.
About WeddingShe: It is your reliable online purchasing channel.
Numerous selections together with attractive pages of imports give you an enjoyable on-line shopping experience. You are definitely not willing to leave.
This time around I planned my OOTD keeping my new orange bag and my favourite black studded pumps in focus. I have hardly accessorized.
The top has dull gold thread and pearl detailing on the neck, so I skipped a neck piece and went for simple pearl Aldo studs.
I only wore a Daniel Wellington watch, so the full focus is on my bright bright orange bag and the lovely shoes.
This crocodile print bag is exactly the same as the one I have in black and you guys have seen in most of my OOTD’s and which I absolutely love. (I had shared it HERE as a part of my wishlist.)
And the new Dune London black studded pumps are also my latest love. (Just look at them! I can adore them forever) Dune London has a store in Palladium in Mumbai for those who are interested.
I also added this beige light drawstring trench, which is perfect for fall/winter and places like Mumbai where it is not too cold.
Loving my skin these days! I have absolutely no makeup/base on the face except my Ruby Woo 😀
Outfit Details:
Top: HERE
Bag: HERE
Denims: Forever 21
Shoes: Dune London
Watch: Daniel Wellington
Trench: HERE
On lips: MAC Ruby Woo (I think I am obsessed :D)
I hope you liked the outfit. Do let me know in the comments below 🙂
Most of you must have heard about Quikr.com obviously with the amount of ads coming in, now on TV too. Did you see the two new latest ones ? I like that red sofa :p
But how many of you have actually shopped on Quikr ? I had not untill yet, so I am glad I got this opportunity by Blogadda.
Read on to know more about Quikr and what all I got:
About Quikr: Quikr is India’s no.1 online classifieds platform, a place where people can connect with each other to buy or sell goods and services. Launched in 2008 with the vision for buyers and sellers to “meet online, transact offline”, today we have over 4.2 million listings and have generated over 150 million replies.
Headquartered in Mumbai, Quikr operates from 940 cities across India and is accessed by more than 30 million unique users and 26 million brand new customers per month. We now have over 13 categories and 170 sub-categories, with the most popular being mobile phones and electronics, real estate, cars and bikes.
At Quikr, we have created an online community which is simple and secure. We are constantly innovating so that users can buy and sell in the easiest and most convenient way possible. We recognized that getting a fair price could be a hurdle for our customers, and we developed a Maximum Selling Price (MSP) calculator to help users estimate a reasonable price range. We also pioneered the Missed Call service in India, enabling first time or non internet users in India to give us a missed call so that we can help them post an ad. This way we aim to make people ‘Quikr’ users, perhaps even before they are internet users.
Our efforts are being recognized. In BAV® 2013 (a Brand Asset Valuator by Rediffusion-Y&R), Quikr was the only classifieds platform to be featured in the list of top ten ‘Best E-commerce Brands in India Amongst Youth’.
Quikr has also raised big money – US$ 60 million last month, from investors, which means better technology, more categories and super cool user experience in the days to come. :p
When you enter the site, at first you get a select city option and are taken to the sub domain of the city directly. You have a city wise classification and they have a sub domain for every city. For eg, for Mumbai it is mumbai.quikr.com. It is better to stick to your city while searching things, especially if they are heavy, coz transportation would be a pain
Then ‘Post Free Ad‘ option and to Buy or Find anything according to the categories mentioned. You can also create a free alert according to your requirement, category, city and locality and submit your email id and phone number, and you will get free alerts whenever someone posts about something that matches your requirement! Alerts are cool, saves you a lot of time in browsing and finding stuff yourself.
I registered on the site, which also gave me an option of ‘Saved Ads‘, so that I did not have to go through everything again to find the thing I had liked and shortlisted.
I got this OrbitHandy Chopper and Shake N Go Juicer which are both new and from the same seller. I called them and they said they would deliver the product home, show a demo and then collect the money which was amazing 😀
A man came in 2-3 days with the products and showed the demo, it was all fine. And collected the cash of Rs.2200/- i.e. 1100 each.
I think the Handy Chopper is perfect for onions, garlic and ginger, and many other things of course. Perfect to use when you don’t want puree/mince but fine chopping. The Shake N Go is more of a blender or a smoothie maker. It blends milkshakes and smoothies amazingly well and comes with 2 blenders.
Then I found this brand new Boss All Time Mixer Grinder for Rs.1200/- but the only glitch was I had to go to collect it to Malad. But nonetheless, I am happy coz it was a good deal. Boss makes good kitchen appliances and I loved this mixer with three jar attachments.
And the final thing I purchased is a Eureka Forbes non electric Aqua Sure water filter whose ad the seller took down :/ This screenshot was I could see.
Thankfully I got the image from the cached link. It was mentioned for Rs.2000 but when I asked the seller on phone, he said for Rs.1500/– and it’s not much used :p :Happy Dance: (fits under 5000 budget) He agreed to come to the nearby station where I live. Thank God for that :p It has two new extra filters too.
I am getting married and shifting to a new place and these things would be indeed very helpful for me. In fact, now that I have shopped for Quikr and have had a good experience, I am also buying 2-3 things more and saving on some bucks 😀
I compared the price of each of the above items online and this was a good deal in all ways, hence I went for this. There were 1-2 items I had shortlisted before and the seller agreed to send but later when I called to follow up, he denied saying he got a better deal and someone is paying more for it. I know it’s perfectly fine, but the sellers should stick to their words. Secondly the product price he mentioned, I was getting the same brand new product on Flipkart for a lesser amount and so I had quoted 100 bucks less than Flipkart and told him the same, to which he agreed.
Some buyer who must have not compared the price on Google paid a much higher price for the product. I did not like the part where some sellers only try and fool the buyers and sell them the product at a higher price than what is normally in the market.
I suggest Quikr add a comparison tab online under each product page where people can compare the same model or item’s price online and not get fooled. That would be very helpful for many.
Also, sometimes you see a helpline number on the side where they mention they would pick up the product and deliver to your place. I had called that helpline number and they said they charge Rs.30/- per km. which I found very high, and that this price should be mentioned on the site itself.
Other than that, I have had a good experience shopping on Quikr and getting 2-3 more things soon for my new home.
It’s a very good medium bringing the buyers and sellers together. Some sellers even negotiate the prices and some clearly mention no bargaining. So as a buyer, check the product, go for one with pictures, call and try to negotiate. Also find a suitable mid point where you can meet and collect the product if it is not huge.
As a seller, do not price the product higher than the market price. If it’s a used product, always count the depreciation factor. And always include good quality pictures. Helps a lot in selling the product faster.
Also, Quikr has an option of Premium Ads where they charge you some minimal fee per day and place your ad right on the top in the particular category which helps a lot. If as a seller you need to sell something urgently, I would say try the Premium service.
Have you shopped from Quikr.com before? Your experience? Do share in the comments below.
After Diwali and New Year and all the Indian wear, I am back with an OOTD again. I have so many Little Black Dresses (LBD’s) but a Little White Dress is also crucial in your wardrobe.
I went for a white bodycon Little White Dress (LWD) this time. It fits like a glove and of course I had to wear my shapewear underneath it (Sigh! Girl’s problems) But it looks quite elegant and chic with the gold chain detailing on the shoulders.
I skipped a statement necklace since it had the chain detailing and went for statement gold earrings instead. And finished it with gold and stone bracelet and rings from Silvette. I am absolutely loving them, these days <3
Finally my black suede block heels with gold ankle strap.
I also layered it with a polka dots denim blazer. This blazer is so multi-use,would work with many of my outfits from denims to dresses. Its warm, thick, fits perfectly, snugs correctly and looks amazing. What else would one want from a blazer ?! 😀 I love it!

I am so loving maxi dresses these days. Actually I am searching for a nice gown fro my DJ, you know those tulle or lace voluminous ones that look so pwetty!
And the basic maxi dresses are also getting all my love and attention. They are so easy to wear anyday anytime.
Here are some of my favourites: (Click on the link to see the product details)
Another perfect dress for any evening occasion. Its not too revealing, has mesh net on sleeves and is quite basic and simple. You can accessorize it well.
These maxi dresses are available on Rosewe.com, I am loving their collection. Also they have Free Shipping worldwide, all the more better!
Which did you like the most? Any of your favourite site for maxi dresses ? Do let me know.
I bought a new pair of shoes and a clutch sometime back, those of you who follow me on Instagram must have already seen these.
I got these pretty soft pink rhinestone detailing pumps. How gorgeous do they look?! Right out of a princess fairytale, I can think of Cinderella 😀
I think I might wear them with my evening gown for my DJ (which I am still searching for :/)
Though the heel height is high, the front platform is high too and that makes them quite comfortable unlike those steep heels with no front platform.
Pink and silver combo is one of my favourites.
I also got this champagne clutch which has both gold and silver detailing too. I love the thread beading and sequin work. This would work with many of my Indian outfits too.
Both are from Dressv. I also have another pair of n*de and blue peep toe pumps and a studded black clutch from Dressv. They have a lot of bridal stuff but mostly Christian ones, beautiful gowns too! But I like the shoes and clutches though, some are super pretty!
Do you like it ? What have you shopped for recently ?
