There may be myriad outfits at any given point of time. Period. Quite naturally, every trip to the market to zero in on an outfit for an occasion and you’d be spoiled for choice. While most outfits aren’t ‘versatile’ In the sense that you can’t put them on for any occasion/event sans a second thought. Come on, who wears a saree for a casual day out with friends, after all? But wait, there is one attire that is rightfully versatile to a ‘great extent’. Be it a casual day out with friends or a party, a date or a flight journey, jumpsuits are there to your rescue. Let us then, have a look at those Tinsel- town ladies who carry jumpsuits the best 🙂

1. SONAM KAPOOR- She strode in elan in an Elie Saab Jumpsuit On Day 3 Of MAMI 2015 and we were swept off our feet. Sonam, like never before, makes heads turn and after seeing her, we get to know why. This leggy lass is a Fashionista not for anything.

2. NARGIS FAKHRI- She is a lady who dresses effortlessly but doesn’t get as many roses thrown at her as some do in Tinsel-town so, here we are, doing what we think she deserves. That is to say, drool at her. At an event in Mumbai, Nargis looked drop-dead gorgeous in a sleek black jumpsuit. Minimalism is the key here and it works wonders, don’t you think so?

3. DEEPIKA PADUKONE- And here comes the reigning queen of Tinsel-town’s Box Office. And it looks like DP has made up her mind to plumb jumpsuits like no one. Be it a tiger-print or a strapless jumpsuit, a high-necked white jumpsuit or one revealing her décolletage, Deepika has gone all out with the attire and made heads turn. My favourite amongst all would be the one in tiger-print 🙂

4. YAMI GAUTAM- Swaddled in a Do & Be jumpsuit, Yami beams radiantly. Her nude makeup, minimal accessorising and girl-next- door charm compel us to envisage ourselves in place of Ayushmaan Khurrana as he serenaded her in Vicky Donor with ‘Paani Da Rang’. This looks proves that simplicity never goes out of vogue.

5. ATHIYA SHETTY- Newbies Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi made an appearance at F Bar in Delhi during one of the promotional tours of their then, impending flick- Hero. Athiya was swaddled in a gorgeous white jumpsuit by designer Ridhi Mehra from her latest collection. It goes without saying that she did justice to the embroidered ribbon sleeves jumpsuit.

6. KAJAL AGGARWAL- For the promotion of one of her flicks- Sardar Gabbara Singh, the perky Kajal kept things minimal in a Zara jumpsuit. Red lip, a classic wristwatch and nude pumps completed her look and don’t we just look at her with sheep’s eyes all this while?

7. KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN- During one of the screenings of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kareena sported a black and white printed DvF jumpsuit. With a Christopher Kane black sling bag with gold chain and Saint Laurent sandals, she rounded off her look. Aren’t you smitten?

Remember the previous post on Bollywood ladies who sizzle in bikinis? Weren’t you left slobbering, drooling and wanting for more? The ladies certainly sported bikinis with enormous aplomb, confidence and a sense of pride in their bodies that one couldn’t help but have their heartbeats race at a pace most F1 racers would be put to shame. So here you with a brief rundown of those Bollywood Ladies whose swimsuit avatars have been the most graceful, tasteful and magnetic of all.

1. KATRINA KAIF- If you thought her abs in Kala Chashma were a treat to your eyes, think again! The lady’s got more to soothe your eyes. Her pink swimsuit avatar in Sau Aasmaano song from Baar Baar Dekho gives one a no-holds barred view of her sculpted sun-kissed body as she saunters on the picturesque beaches in the song. Katrina Kaif donned a pink swimsuit in Baar Baar Dekho and made sure that she brought a carefree and laidback attitude to an otherwise sultry swimsuit.

2. PRIYANKA CHOPRA- Priyanka Chopra, PC for short ensured that the temperature on the beaches of Miami increased by a few notches when she strutted in a shimmery golden swimsuit in Dostana. What I can say for certain is that cine-goers back home had their jaws drop in awe.

3. SHILPA SHETTY- And here comes another Dostana girl! Shilpa Shetty Kundra has a body sculpted to perfection. Period. But when she swaddles herself in an itsy-bitsy swimsuit while grooving to the tunes of ‘Shut Up and Bounce’ all you can do is look at her unblinkingly while controlling yourself from slobbering.

4. SHRADHHA KAPOOR- Her face and frame both bill her as a typical happy-go- lucky, effervescent and exuberant girl-next- door whom you would have always wanted to ask out for a date but couldn’t summon the courage to. But when the livewire Shraddha sports a swimsuit (with an enviable bralette) not only do you get an impetus to modify your beach wardrobe majorly but also you are left gasping for more.

5. KIARA ADVANI- The Fugly actress ensured that she took all her fans by surprise as she posed in a black swimsuit for the magazine cover of Maxim India February 2015. Kiara Advani’s sensual avatar here certainly grabs one’s eyeballs.

6. ESHA GUPTA- The Desi Angelina Jolie- Esha Gupta oozed seduction, magnetism and appeal as she swaddled herself in an itsy-bitsy swimsuit for Elle Magazine. The cover of the magazine reads “Esha Gupta in summer’s sexiest swimwear”. After having a look at it, one cannot help but nod almost hypnotically in approval.

7. JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ- Sri Lankan import and former beauty queen- Jacqueline Fernandez unleashed her sensual and sultry facet as she sent the carnal interests of one and all into a tizzy with her audacious and alluring swimsuit appearances in Murder 2. She certainly raised the visual appeal of the thriller by a few notches, we say!

Editor’s Note: I saw the movie yesterday and Katrina looked fab, the only good thing to see in the terrible movie :p She looked mesmerizing in that hot pink bikini with voluminous, blow dried hair and that tan! Also Esha Gupta and Shilpa Shetty can rock anything! Super hot bods! Agree on PC too, that gold bikini scene is unforgettable 😀

For years she had been targeted for two things. One, her weight. Two, her questionable and distasteful sense of raiment. Never did she buckle down once for either. Over the years, not only has Parineeti Chopra’s weight has become the talking point of Tinsel-town (dare you say that she’s out of shape. The vivacious lady looks drop-dead gorgeous in her chiselled avatar and what better than she working out for what she wanted instead of positing excuses?) but also her sartorial sense has ameliorated. We see Chopra Junior experiment and hit the bullseye quite often these days. So, let’s have a rundown of some of the Best Off-screen Looks of Parineeti Chopra 🙂

1. ON ‘LOOK WHO’S TALKING’- Swaddled in a black top from Zara and a red paint splatter skirt from The Source, Chopra Junior shot for an episode of Look Who’s Talking. She accessorised her look with a jeweled statement necklace and sported a pair of gorgeous Jimmy Choos. This look surely gets a thumbs up, Parineeti!

2. BOHEMIAN VIBES AT A STORE LAUNCH– Clad in denim shorts with a pink tee and floral cape that Parineeti teamed with nude wedges and multi-layered neck pieces, the Ishaqzaade actress made heads turn for all the right reasons at the H&M store launch in Noida. Not a lot many women can carry a bohemian look and Parineeti clearly does not fall in that category. The chirpy Chopra looks effortlessly sassy and easy on the eyes.

3. IN AN ANARKALI- Swathed in a beige anaarkali with the picture-postcard locales of Jaipur in the backdrop, Parineeti looks gorgeous minus gaudy (and that’s difficult to look as anarkalis tend to be opulent hence, chances of one looking gaudy are high if not carried/accessorised well). The young ‘Dawat-e- Ishq’ heroine delineates exquisiteness here, doesn’t she?

4. IN MUSKAAN GOSWAMI– Swathed in a blazer dress by Intrinsic by Muskaan Goswami, Parineeti Chopra dazzled on the red carpet of the HT Style Awards. One usually doesn’t go minimalistic when attending red carpet events that showcase more of bling and glitz; however Chopra Junior doesn’t go by the book. And who doesn’t love that rebellious streak of hers?

5. GOING PLAYFUL- Clad in a burgundy embellished blouse from Kanika Goyal that was paired with high-waisted shorts, Parineeti attended an event for a brand. Accessorising with caged heels and an oversized hat, she redefined the art of comfy dressing. We are swooning, Chopra Junior.

6. ON THE SETS OF KBC 8- Swaddled in a peplum style blue dress to promote Daawat-E- Ishq on Kaun Banega Crorepati, Parineeti topped the dress with a chunky statement necklace by The Source. She rounded off her look with black booties by Steve Madden. Now that is called chic dressing!

7. IN A TAREK SINNO GOWN- Swathed in a flared embellished gown by Tarek Sinno for the Zee Cine Awards 2016, the effervescent actress accessorised her look with petite baubles by Farah Khan Ali and shoes by Heel & Buckle. Nude makeup along with a braided hairdo completed her ethereal look.

The stage is set. The gruelling hours put in rehearsals are waiting to throw results. The awards are ready to make someone’s day. Film award ceremonies in India, no matter rigged or genuine, do provide a wide gamut of entertainment besides evincing the knack (or at times, unfortunately the lack of it) in fashion of our Tinseltown celebrities. So, on that note let’s take a look at the best red carpet looks of Bollywood ladies who sashayed in sheer panache and let everyone bewitched.

1. KRITI SANON – This newbie has definitely caught the fancy of fashionistas with her simple, subtle but stunning fashion sense. Seen her is Kriti Sanon all decked up in an orange gown with almost zero accessories and a neatly done hairdo on the red carpet of Star Guild Awards 2016. The look is as simple as it gets but catches ones eyeballs. Who said simple cannot be stunning? Kriti is here to refute it and how!

2. PRIYANKA CHOPRA- Often hailed as a fashionista, Priyanka Chopra floored one and all on the red carpet of Oscars 2016 when she opted for this white embellished strapless gown by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad. With her hair pulled into a subtle pony with a centre part, she walked the ginormous red carpet with panache.

3. AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN- Miss World 1994 opted for a strapless Oscar de la Renta gown in maroon at Cannes Film Festival 2015. Often accused for committing major style blunders in the past when it came to Cannes, Aishwarya nails it with this look. Smittten? Who wouldn’t be? 🙂

4. SHRADDHA KAPOOR- With such a cherubic and angelic face as hers, it would be difficult to look unprepossessing. On the green carpet of IIFA 2015, Shraddha Kapoor grabbed all the limelight for this simple strapless black gown that complemented her petite frame well. With a dazzling smile, minimal makeup and accessories, Shraddha looked a million bucks.

5. DEEPIKA PADUKONE- Mark my words- If there is any list on the most gorgeous/fashionable/elegant ladies, it’d be incomplete if she doesn’t make an appearance. Deepika Padukone glows effulgently in this elaborate and embellished Sabyasachi saree. With her hair done in a neat bun and a heart-warming smile, Deepika set a number of hearts fluttering (mine included) 🙂

6. KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN- Sashaying down the red carpet of Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards in a lemon colour Roberto Cavalli gown, the Begum of Pataudi- Kareena Kapoor Khan delineated the art of effortless dressing.

7. ANUSHKA SHARMA– There is a vibe of chirpiness, effervescence and a-girl- next-door surrounding this leggy lass who stepped into the glitzy world of Bollywood opposite SRK with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008 which makes her likeable. Not to forget, she was a model before switching over to acting so, her dressing sense has to be impeccable (as we expect naturally). Seen here is this towering lady swaddled in a light yellow Gauri and Nainka gown, which at the Vogue Beauty Awards. Dreamy, we say!

OOTD: Indian Wear with Naari

Hi guys,

I know I haven’t done an OOTD since a long time. Today I am doing an Indian wear OOTD i.e. a kurti and matching pants.

Both the kurti and pants are from Naari’s Fluid Lines Collection.

Let me tell you a little bit more about Naari first.

About Naari: Desi elements fused with contemporary styles is what Naari is all about. This love love affair is prominent in every piece of fabric designed for an overall ethnic experience. As you can see here, the kurti I have paired with unconventional pants and not the usual leggings. They also have palazzos, wide legged palazzos, slim pants and a lot of different options apart from the conventional leggings.

And they have different collections, i.e. True Blue, Fluid Lines, Real World, Mudcals, Secret Garden, etc. where the collection revolves around a particular concept.

About the Fluid Lines Collection: If easy-breezy, fuss-free style is your thing, Fluid Lines must feature in your wardrobe! The collection not only boasts of a tantalizing movement of a color with a tinge of shaded pattern, but also rich Lucknowi embroidery to bring the whole look together.

I absolutely loved this simple white kurti with neon pink embroidery work, also the embroidery is placed well and it’s not all over, coz that wouldn’t be very flattering. The high low hem gives it a casual yet semi-formal look. The pink slim pants also has white thread work all over. They are stretchy and very comfortable.

Bollywood Newbies Who Give Us Major Fashion Goals

With each passing year we witness a sea of newcomers making inroad into the glitzy, glamorous and glittering world of Tinseltown. Some sparkle with their author-backed roles while some fizzle point-blank in addition to taking the audience for a ride (a ride they would never sign up for even if offered a free ticket)! Amongst all those who venture into Bollywood, there are some whose sense of dressing and taste in fashion compels us to sit back and take a notice after all, they might just be the next ‘Fashionistas’ of B-town 🙂

On that note, here is a compendium of those B-town ladies, some of them yet to be launched while most new-comers, who have it in them to be the next Fashionistas of Tinseltown.

1. KRITI SANON- A towering height? Check. An enviable body? Check. Glossy mane? Check. Pert and ebullient attitude? Check. A gorgeous face? Check. Anything left? Oh yes, an impeccable sense of style. This Delhi girl makes sure that even if she swathes herself in the simplest of attires, heads would turn. A newbie in Tinseltown who looks effortlessly stylish in even a simple pair of jeans and tops/tees, Kriti’s style is easy-going, fun and vivacious. Certainly, one lady for whom all the boys would do Heropanti to win her over!

2. VAANI KAPOOR- She scorched the silver screen with Shudh Desi Romance in 2013 as Gayatri but went missing from the big screen thereafter. She is back this year with the quirky Ranveer Singh in YRF’s Befikre and we couldn’t be any happier for the chirpy lady’s laidback sense of style is what we are going to be treated to.

3. KHUSHI KAPOOR- Now, comes a lady who hasn’t be formally launched but thanks to Instagram, we get to glimpses of this gorgeous lady who is making the right waves with her sartorial choices. The daughter of Bonny & Sridevi Kapoor and the cousin of the reigning Fashionista of Tinseltown- Sonam Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor is one lady whom we are eagerly looking forward to w.r.t. the style department. Doesn’t this picture of hers exude oomph and aplomb as she unleashes her gothic avatar? 🙂

4. MALAVIKA MOHANAN- A newbie in the Malayam film industry, Malavika Mohanan is the best out of the lot for me. There is something about her that makes me go “Ah! She is so sophisticatedly sensual” every time I see a picture of her. Be it ethnic wear or Western apparel, she is rules the roost and how! An expression of her creative energies- The Scarlet Window, her Tumblr blog is a treat to the eyes of fashion connoisseurs.

5. ATHIYA SHETTY – By now a favourite of a number of leading fashion connoisseurs, Athiya Shetty experiments confidently with clothes like no other. From figure-hugging gowns to grungy attire, from heavily embellished anarkalis to dunagrees, Athiya takes dressing seriously and that shows every time she makes an appearance.

6. DIANA PENTY- Essaying the character of Meera in Cocktail with utmost sincerity and subtlety, Diana struck a chord with audiences instantly. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see more of this leggy lass after that but she’s soon going to reappear on the silver screen. A former successful model, Diana’s style is very easy-going, laidback and comfort-driven. But that doesn’t mean the lady can’t carry other outfits. She can very well let her hair down and transmogrify into the drop-dead gorgeous diva at her own sweet will.

7. POOJA HEGDE- About to make inroads into Tinseltown opposite Greek God- Hrithik Roshan in Ashutosh Gowariker’s period drama- Mohenjodaro, Pooja Hegde is a known name down South. With her sharp Indian features, luscious locks and experimental streak, we are sure to get treated to a whole new range of eclectic styles with time 🙂

In the rule book of fashion, if there is one person whose name will be etched in golden alphabets, it will be without any iota of doubt, Sonam Kapoor. Since the day she stepped into B-wood, while many have questioned her acting and PR skills, no one can turn a blind eye to her impeccable sense of style and fashion. She is one sure-shot head-turner 🙂

Be it her casual looks, red carpet appearances, ethnic ensemble or ramp apparel, she keeps one bewitched. A personal favourite of the fashion police, let us have a look at the top 5 off-screen avatars of Sonam Kapoor when she left us gasping for more

1. ON THE STREETS OF MELBOURNE- Strolling the captivating streets of Melbourne and later attending a press conference with her father Anil Kapoor in absolute style, Sonam opted for a black LBD that not only looks casual but also professional. Unique, right? With her luscious brown locks loose and radiant skin, she surely set a lot of hearts fluttering.

2. DAY 2 OF CANNES 2013 – Sashaying down the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival 2013 on Day 2 in a custom made floral Dolce and Gabbana gown at the Jeune et Jolie premiere, Sonam raised the glam quotient of the event without going overboard thanks to her minimal makeup and accessories. The dress has a corset bodice with a voluminous skirt. And the print looks feminine, chic and quirky. It goes without saying that Sonam looked effortlessly drop-dead gorgeous.

3. AIRPORT LOOK- In one word, Sonam looks exquisite. Swaddled in a nude dress and black coat, with poker straight hair, nerdy glasses and black boots, she looks dressed like a French lady. Fashionable but not trying too hard to cast an impression- well, these things surely come naturally to this leggy lass.

4. PRDP PROMOTIONS DESI STYLE- In keeping with the underlying theme of Director Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Sonam opted for ethnic attire for the promotions of the film. See here is Sonam swaddled in an ethnic attire by Radha Vakil and jewellery by Sunita Kapoor.

5. IIJW 2015 RAMP – With a flair to pull off most attires in the most flattering way, Sonam Kapoor defined regal as she wore an ornate Shyamal and Bhumika lehenga at the IIJW 2015 show for Birdhichand jewellers. And the dupatta that trailed behind her as she sashayed down the ramp, added all the drama a showstopper’s outfit can ask for

6. AT KHOOBSURAT’S TRAILER LAUNCH- Her attire (and co-star) is exactly what the movie’s title is –Khoobsurat 🙂 Opting for a black and white monochrome printed Toni Maticevski at the trailer launch of Khoobsurat, Sonam looked drop-dead gorgeous.

7. IN AN ABU-JANI SANDEEP KHOSLA SAREE- Resplendent – in one word, Sonam’s look during the promotions of Neerja when she swaddled herself in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree was magnificent. In fact, everything about this look is on point be it her hair style, makeup or choice of accessories. That’s how you style a saree.

Thanks to the outdoor shoot schedules, offshore promotional events or simply travelling to locales which offer moments of respite and tranquillity, airports become more or less the second homes of most B-town celebrities. And given that our Tinseltown celebs swaddle themselves in apparel that makes them the talk of the town (at times, in an unpleasant and unwanted way, unfortunately), keeping an eye of what they wore so as to borrow some practical ideas from those known for re- defining the rules of fashion, becomes pivotal. On that note, let us have a look at the B-town ladies who have the best airport attire 🙂

1. ANUSHKA SHARMA – Blend cuteness, effervescence, chirpiness and truckloads of energy and you will end up with Anushka Sharma. The lady is a livewire! She is often seen swaddled in the most comfy attire when making an appearance on airports. Not only are her clothes chic but also highly practical to borrow for women in the age group of 18-30. She sports denims of all sorts be it- ripped, skinny or colored and teams them with equally comfy tees. At times, she pulls on a jacket/hoodie that goes on not only with the look but also the weather which is highly practical an idea! I am borrowing some ideas, Anushka 🙂

2. DEEPIKA PADUKONE – The dimpled lass whose smile melts you in the twinkling of an eye makes heads turn for obvious reasons whenever she steps on the airport. Seen here is Deepika sporting an on-trend combination of white on denim, a bright lip paired with a black Birkin, knee-length boots, a floppy hat and oversized, sporty frames to accessorise. We are left drooling, Deepika!

3. KRITI SANON – A new kid on the block but a fashionista in the making- this is what comes to my mind as I see Kriti Sanon strut with panache at airports. Her attire too, is predominantly dominated by denims and comfy tees that make for trendy travel attire and who says tees are boring? Have a look at hers!

4. SONAM KAPOOR- One day I would definitely raid her closet! Even you would like to do so, won’t you? When everyone carries off comfy outfits, Sonam actually shows us what truly comfortable attire is. Seen here is Sonam draped in an orange-coloured off-shoulder maxi dress that not only looks trendy but also spells comfort. Given that India is predominantly hot for a major part of the year with even nights being uncomfortably humid at times, this maxi dress would make for a go-to outfit while commuting as it doesn’t stick to one’s body. Alia’s dressing thankfully is reflective of her age. Young, energetic, vibrant and chirpy are the words that will come to your mind if you decide to have a sneak-peek into her style book. 7. SHRADDHA KAPOOR- If there is anyone who has taught us how to wear casuals and look trendy in it round the clock, it has to be the petite Shraddha Kapoor. Swaddled in a pair of denims and comfy tees from time to time at the airport, Shraddha’s style does not scream for attention but rather comes across as a breath of fresh air reminding one that it is very much possible to enter the good books of the fashion police without robbing an ace designer’s exorbitant couture. Way to go, Shraddha. Keep it coming 🙂

Denim Inspiration from Bollywood Ladies

They look trendy. They are available in myriad styles. They can be teamed with practically everything which makes them a ‘go-to’ attire for both the genders. No matter what the occasion (with some exceptions, I agree) they can be worn almost without a second thought. Some of us live in them in the name of clothing. They have eased ‘dressing up’ since the day they flocked markets. Your wardrobe would be filled with (and in some cases, overflowing with) many of them. Able to surmise what I am talking about? No? Shall we let the cat out of the bag then? D-E- N-I- M-S. On that note, let us have a look at those Tinseltown ladies who carry denims like no other 🙂

1. ANUSHKA SHARMA- Inarguably the lady who sports denims the most from amongst all the B-town ladies in the current lot, Anushka shows you how to carry denims of different styles. Be it boyfriend, ripped, coloured, distressed or skinny, she carries them all and how! It makes for perfect clothing for college girls who find denims their second skin.

2. PRIYANKA CHOPRA-The Qauntico star is a head turner. Period. Seen here is Priyanka swaddled in a black and white heart printed shirt from Guess and a pair of blue distressed ankle-length denims. Short wavy tresses, nude makeup and white pumps from Zara make this a comfy casual look.

3. KRITI SANON – She has the trappings of a fashionista given her choice of apparel since the day she stepped into Tinseltown. Seen here is Kriti decked in a pair of simply light blue denims that are teamed up with a sleeveless colored tee at the launch of Tissot watches, the look is as simple as it can get but then, that is what makes it a winner. One does not always has to drown themselves in a pool of makeup/accessories/layers of clothes to make a mark. You can be simple, subtle and still catch eyes. And that is exactly what Kriti does here. And those long legs do justice to the denims really well, don’t they?

4. VAANI KAPOOR- She’s tall. She has an enviable frame. Her smile is heart-warming and those curves are to die for. Her legs did justice to the figure-hugging attire called denims and seen here is Vaani giving us a good view of her long, unending legs that spell desirable. With such chiselled legs, it comes as little wonder that she’d not be able to carry denims like a pro.

5. DEEPIKA PADUKONE – Like I have said before, there is no list on fashion/style that wouldn’t include this leggy lass. Deepika Padukone has a sculpted body that gives one major gym goals and how! Seen here is the dimpled Deepika flaunting her long (read: highly desirable) legs in a pair of ripped denims which are teamed with a light grey tank top and a shimmery black jacket with golden patches. This is a look that I find perfect for college girls who’d be at their wits end while zeroing on the ideal attire during the season of college fests 🙂

6. SHRADDHA KAPOOR – Nailing the art of comfy and chic dressing, Shraddha Kapoor opts for what is every girl’s staple- a pair of blue denims and a white shirt. Leaving her hair loose, makeup minimal and sporting nude flats, one can hardly ever go wrong with this look. Not only does it appear casual but also is stylish. A classic look for all school and college girls.

7. KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN- Looking drop-dead gorgeous in a pair of ripped blue jeans and white tunic for a photo shoot, Kareena Kapoor Khan gives one major fashion goals. Her luscious locks and radiant skin simply add to the beauty of the whole look, don’t they?

They are trendy. They are chic. They are comfy. They can simply never go out of vogue given the myriad ways in which they come be it- long, short or pencil. No matter how old or young you are, there is an innate desire to swaddle oneself into one. It makes one ‘feel’ feminine and unlike most figure-hugging outfits which stick to one’s body and discomfit us especially during sweltering summers, they eliminate this woe altogether thanks to their design. Able to surmise which piece of clothing am I talking about? No? It’s none other than S-K- I-R- T-S 😀

With B-town ladies donning skirts for long in myriad designs, colours and styles, why not have a look at those ladies who nail skirts like no other? 🙂

1. DEEPIKA PADUKONE– The darling Deepika’s body can hardly not do justice to any attire. Be it figure-hugging one-piece dresses or ethnic lehengas, Deepika brings her own charm to the attire she swaddles herself in. Here Deepika is seen wearing a shift skirt by Nimish Shah and Furla heels. She wore a pinkish lip colour and chunky golden studs with the outfit. Her outfit has always been easy-breezy and this look is no different. Impeccable for summers, isn’t it?

2. KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN- The Begum of Pataudi looks drop-dead gorgeous in this attire. She has donned a Carven top and DVF pencil skirt that accentuate her curves very well. Add to that, her radiant skin and luscious locks and we have a look that is going to be aped for long.

3. PRIYANKA CHOPRA- The stunning Priyanka Chopra sets temperatures soaring with this mini leather skirt and heels paired with a checked tee as she launched the cover of a fashion magazine, which features her. Trendy and sizzling simultaneously, isn’t it?

4. JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ- This Sri Lankan beauty opted for a striped flared Giorgio Armani maxi skirt paired with white top as she promoted her then impending flick- Kick. With her hair let loose and a million dollar smile, Jacqueline stole the show.

5. GENELIA D’SOUZA- If smiles could kill, she’d be accused of a serial-killer. Inarguably the lady with those most dazzling smile in Tinseltown, Genelia looks every guy’s dream girl in this short green miniskirt that she has teamed with a tank top and jacket. Sneakers complete the look that is the epitome of freshness, innocence and cuteness 🙂 Cuteness personified, indeed!
