Glamorous 12 Color Eye Shadow Palette ‘St. Tropez’ Review, Swatches, EOTD
Review by Lee
Hi Girls,
Today I’m going to review a 12 eyeshadow palette which super super affordable from a brand called Glamorous. I got it in the shade ‘St. Tropez’ and lets start with the review
Product Description
Glamorous 12 Color Eye Shadow is the perfect way to try out that hot new look! Each palette has four exciting color schemes and is offered in a variety of combinations. Our eye shadow is specifically designed for every woman’s unique skin complexity. Applicator included for on-the-go touchups.
Price: $6 for 10gms
Packaging
The palette comes in a rectangular plastic packaging with a transparent lid on top. Inside it contains 12 eyshadows with a double ended sponge applicator. The applicator is pretty ‘meh’ but it is good enough to be used for touch ups. The packaging does feel a little flimsy but shuts tightly so you can easily carry it in your purse
Texture & Shades
The texture of the eyeshadows is pretty much a mixed bad. The darker color are very soft and smooth while the lighter shades are a very hard and gritty. Its hard to get enough product on the brush to apply it so I’m not at all happy with the texture.
The palette contains a gorgeous array of shades from pretty neutrals to pinks, purples and light blues. You can easily create a complete eyemakeup look as it has lid colors, darker crease shades as well as highlighting shades
Pigmentation & Staying Power
Oh God! The pigmentation of these is absolutely terrible. The swatches you see in the pic are the result of hard labour of swatching them again and again! :p I think I must’ve swiped them 5-6 times to make them show up on my skin. Only the orange and purples are decently pigmented but the rest just do not show up!These do have better pigmentation with a base underneath but it still requires alot of effort to work with these.
It also lacks in staying power which is such a huge bummer coz I really liked the shades in this palette. It stays put for 2-3 hours after which it totally vanishes. I have’nt applied these without a base because umm they just don’t show up :p
1)Has a nice variety of shades
2)Comes with a sponge applicator easing touch ups
3)Super Cheap
Cons
1)Gritty and hard texture
2)Bad Pigmentation
3)Bad Staying Power
Recommended? Umm no! Sure the palette is very cheap but it is very hard to work with. It pretty much lacks in all aspects and I can’t recommend this at all.
Editor’s note: Ooo..sad that its lacks in pigmentation and staying power..the shades are gorgeous and it would have been an awesome palette if pigmented..but loved your EOTD !

Haul: Stila, theBalm, La Roche-Posay, EOS
Hey everyone,
I am back with a haul after a long time ! My cousin was coming from the US and I always order stuff from Apothica and get it delivered at his place. (Cashing on the free shipping within US :p)
This time I ordered Stila In the Light Palette, theBalm Stainiac in Prom Queen, La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, EOS Lip Balms in Strawberry Sorbet and Summer Fruit and Styli Style Line and Seal 24H Eye Pencil in Bronze.
Stila In the Light Palette is my fav of the lot. Its a collection of Stila’s award-winning eye shadows in wearable, neutral shades for every skin tone that can be worn wet or dry and comes with Stila Smudge Stick in Damsel, a matte brown shade. Comes with a lookbook which has 4-5 different looks from day to night. I feel many of the shades are quite similar to the ones in UD Naked Palette.
theBalm Stainiac is a lip and Cheek Stain..Prom Queen is a pretty strawberry red tint.
La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water…wanted to try from a long time and EOS lip balms too.
Styli Style Line and Seal eye pencil in Bronze..heard the brand first time..but read good reviews that it really does stay put whole day.
Whats your favorite ?

I love the concept of Frontcover kits..they have some pretty handy and amazingly combined kits..like Desk to Date, Party Queen, Kissogram, Moondance, etc..and they include everything from eyeshadows to lip gloss to applicators and brushes..
The True Colours Kit is a part of their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection..and I loved this kit the most out of all..and since these were at discounts when I bought it, a pretty good deal too..and they have reasonable shipping also..around £4..only hitch is I had to pay customs :/ God..this customs..I hate it 🙁
I am using this from the last 3-4 months..I know its very late..but then there are many things I have been using from more than a year and yet to review :p
Its shaped like a book..and made up of thick cardboard..and has plastic cover with the shadows shape so that it fits exactly and nothing gets spoilt..only issue is shadows and lip glosses can be mixed :/
Starting with the eyeshadows, the kit has 11 eye shadows..6 satiny baked and 5 matte normal..all are super pigmented..and smooth to touch and apply..even the matte ones..are pretty silky and pigmented..and all shadows are my type..taupes, greys, olive green, brown, peach, orange..I love all the shades in this kit..
These are all just one swipe of shadows in the swatches !
Then there are 5 lip glosses..which are more like lip creams..super creamy and pigmented and thick enough..two layers of it would give perfect opaque lipstick like coverage..only issue is except the last two shades..rest are too pale for our skin tone..
The two eyeshadow brushes are pretty good..the fluffy brush is like so multi tasking…works both for applying shadows and blending too..and a retractable lip brush too..the double ended mascara for upper and lower lashes..pretty decent..
Two nail polishes..one pale milky nude and one holographic blue..and a eye pencil..deep bluish steel grey with silver shimmer..has a smudger on one side..gives that soft smokey grey eye look 😀
All in all..this is a perfect travel palette..you may need a lipstick separately..but rest everything is in this kit..even the orange eyeshadow makes a pretty blush..if you dont want to carry one separately..
If you travel a lot..I did surely and highly recommend this palette..and even if you don’t, I will recommend it 😀 Coz this is total value for money..and excellent in terms of quality..you can check out other kits too..they have many different kits and variants..
I will do some EOTDs and looks with this kit..hopefully soon..
