Hi guys,

Holi is coming up and I have so many good childhood memories attached with this festival. From prepping up previous day with balloons and pichkaris and finding all amazing colors to waking up early at 6-7 am and enjoying it with friends and family untill afternoon. It was so much fun! While the previous two years, I had my friends come over and we did have some fun with colours. But nothing beats the childhood fun, right.

This video totally refreshed my Holi memories.

Holi is all about love, joy, family time, togetherness and applying colours. Khul ke khelo Holi doesn’t mean we waste water, water conservation is an important issue currently and we should always try our best to not waste water. Holi can be played with colors and is equally fun!

I am back with a contest! First of all, how many of you feel our moms were always right and we should have listened to them more often 😀 :raises hand slowly: I think majority 😉

Let me share a few things today which my mom always told me to do, and I never did :p And now I feel, she was so right, I wish I had listened to her before.

  • Don’t binge on junk food

Well, I would not have to exercise later on, if I had listened to her.

  • Oil your hair more often,not only for the hair health but also to de-stress

Mom used to regularly oil my hair when I was in school and I had the best hair then, well like all, I reduced the frequency of oiling my hair once I entered college and then slowly it went down and down to nil. I should start oiling my hair again, miss my old awesome hair. Also the head massage my mom gave while oiling my hair was so so de-stressing.

  • Use natural stuff like curd,honey,besan,etc., for your skin

We all run after these face packs,face scrubs,face washes and what not and after using them for years, we suddenly realise that natural products are actually the safest and best. We should have listened to our moms before,right.

  • Early to bed,early to rise

Those late nights throughout our teens have changed our sleeping pattern and the weekends too, so getting up on weekdays for office has been such a pain for most of us :p

  • A penny saved is penny earned

Oh ya, the savings! Let’s not even talk about it, right :p Mom was always so right on saving and not spending like crazy.

The lotion is loaded with the goodness of coconut milk, the all-natural way to make skin feel soft and smooth this winter. After all, everybody loves winters for providing an escape from the scorching summer months and unmanageable sultry days. But then winter does come with its share of troubles. Cons:

1. Has parabens and Phenoxyethanol.
2. Pump packaging is not for travel..there are smaller sizes available..but I love how super easy to use the pump one is..

Ingredients:

Remember the packaging I had shown you last time..this time too it came beautifully packed..in a wooden slider box with candles and Fox Mint candies..

The bottle is shaped the same as the other variants..a curvy one..

The thing I like about the Summer Fresh one the most is the cooling mint extracts..it seriously feels thanda thanda cool cool types 😀

Its a white colored lotion..medium in texture..neither too thick nor too runny. The lotion is water based and quite light..gets absorbed in a jiffy..you do not need to rub it in or wait for it to sink in..it has a nice minty smell..refreshing..


Pros:

1. Quite liked the packaging.
2. Gets absorbed in a jiffy.
3. Has a nice minty smell.
4. Quite economical at Rs. 125/- for 250ml..thats a lot of quantity..all other body lotions are priced high comparatively.
5. This is perfect for summers..the minty cooling sensation plus the light non greasy texture..me likes
6. Easily available.
7. It does leave the skin soft and supple as claimed.
8. It claims to have double sunscreen..though the SPF is not mentioned..but if it has sunscreen properties..then solves dual purpose.

Cons:

1. Has parabens and Phenoxyethanol.
2. I am not sure if it would be moisturising enough for dry skin.
3. They mention double sunscreen..but not the SPF !

Overall I loved using Parachute Summer Fresh..and this is going to be summer body lotion always.. (until I find a better one)..though the summers are over..here the rains just come for a day and go again..teasing :/ And the heat and humidity is still there…I am using it and loving it..surely recommended.

Pros:

1. Quite liked the packaging.
2. Gets absorbed in a jiffy.
3. Has a nice floral kinda smell.
4. Quite economical at Rs. 99/- for 250ml..thats a lot of quantity..all other body lotions are priced high comparatively.
5. This would be good for summers too..as its not too thick or greasy kinds..but very light.
6. Easily available.
7. Feels very cooling on the skin..as soon as you apply it.
8. It does leave the skin soft and supple as claimed.

Cons:

1. Has parabens.
2. It did not keep the skin moisturised throughout the day in harsh winters..I needed to reapply it..and this one being the intense care meant for dry skin..and claims to double moisture levels in 2 hours..should have been more moisturising..but would work for summers..or if you do not have dry skin.

Overall I liked it..easily available..and the quantity for the price makes it all the more worth it..compared to other body lotions…I just wish it was a little more moisturising.

Parachute Advansed Body Lotion Preview


Well I generally don’t post the preview thing..but this is something I had to !!

I received the Parachute Advansed Body Lotion today and I am so in awe with the packaging..that I felt like sharing it with you all..

It came in a huge box..and I was all surprised as to what can that be..and when I opened it..a huge square shaped peach box with peach bows and ribbons, was there inside..and I was like..this is so cutee !

And further inside..there were these awesome smelling set of pink floral candles, a CD “OMG! I’m in Love” with 51 love songs and all are so good..’Aicha’, ‘You’re Beautiful’, ‘Beacuse I Love You’, ‘Quit Playing Games’, ‘By Your Side’, and many more..and and chocolates ! And two variants of Parachute Advanced Body Lotion..

Perfect things to floor a girl 😉 And Valentine’s Day is still away..:D

They indeed follow their tag line ‘Jagaye Love Dobara’ in all ways possible 😉

I quite liked their ad too..have you seen it..? Evelyn Sharma is pretty !
