Feb 2017 My Envy Box Review & Unboxing

Hi guys,

I got the Feb My Envy Box today, the product card which as the theme name was missing in my box. But I saw it online, it’s the Indo-French Edition theme, so there are Indian and French brands in here.

MRP: Rs.850/- (Available HERE)

Products I got:

  • L’Oreal Paris Magique Bold Kajal
  • Avene Micellar Water sample
  • Gulnare Gold Dust Highlighter
  • Votre Face Serum

There are 2 Indian and 2 French brands (Considering L’Oreal as a French brand)

I have already tried the Votre Face Serum, I had received it in one of my Fab Bag last year. I have two full sized Avene Micellar Water bottles and it’s pretty good. This though is a small sample size, good enough to travel with.

Gulnare Gold Dust Highlighter is a jar full of gold wax kind of thing. I can’t understand the base, but it gives a soft, gold glow. It’s very sheer though. Good for the body.

I do not expect L’Oreal Paris kajal in My Envy Box as it’s supposed to be a luxury box with luxury brands, also this is something which is available anywhere and everywhere, it is not even an international brand.

I did not like this month’s My Envy Box, even though there are three full sized products, none is interesting. I don’t recommend it.

Last month’s box was so good! I had really high expectations :/

What did you get? Did you get something different?

Make Up For Ever Star Powder, Diamond Powder Review, Swatches

Make Up For Ever Star Powder, Diamond Powder Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

I have the Make Up For Ever Star Powder and Diamond Powder with me, I have heard so much about them, especially the Diamond Powder. Read on to know more..

Star Powder

Claims: The Star Powder is a silky powder that catches the light and gives the skin an intense sparkle and unparalleled shine. Its extremely fine, yet dense texture makes it easy to apply. Only a small amount is needed for visible results. The Star Powders can be used alone or blended together, applied over eyeshadow or mixed with any texture to highlight areas of the face.

How to use: Apply with a brush or sponge applicator. Moisten the brush slightly for enhanced shine and hold. For a pearly yet light makeup, apply the Star Powder to your face using a large powder brush. To highlight areas of the face and add a twinkle to your eyes, lips or cheeks, apply small hints of Star Powder.

Pro tip: use a damp brush to increase shine and hold. Use a damp brush to increase shine and hold. To highlight areas of the face or the decolletage, mix foundation with the Star Powder for added shimmers. For longer lasting results and more sparkles on the eyelids, apply a small amount of primer first. For a personalized and intense look, layer several Star Powders, dry or moistened, using a sponge applicator. Bring harmony and shimmers to your look by using the same shade of Star Powder on the eyelids, blended with lipstick, and added to nail varnish.

Shades Available: 35

MRP: Rs.1900/- for 2.8g

It comes in a small jar with punched holes to dispense the product. It’s a standard pigment packaging and quantity.

The shade range is  gorgeous, they have everything from Black Gold to Iridescent Pale Peach and Metallic Rosewood, Yellow Gold, etc.

The shade I have here is called 955 Plum with Blue Highlights. It’s a gorgeous duochrome shade, with hint of blue, brown and plum, reminds me a lot of MAC Blue Brown pigment which I own and is one of my favourites.

Some of the shades like gold, silver, rosewood, etc. would be ideal for Indian brides.

Diamond Powder

Claims: An ultra-fine mineral powder with an intense sparkling effect. Diamond Powder combines the pearly iridescence of Star Powder with the brilliance of glitter. It is composed almost entirely of pure synthetic mother-of-pearl with particles that are finer and literally radiate extreme brilliance as soon as they are applied. It can be used wet or dry on the face or body.

How to use: Diamond Powder can be applied to the eyes, cheeks, lips or body. Diamond Powder can be mixed with any liquid or powdery texture, including foundations, make up bases and lipsticks. For longer lasting results, mix with Aqua Seal or Mist & Fix then apply.

Shades Available: 10

MRP: Rs.2460/- for 2g

It has the same small jar packaging, except the jar is slightly diamond shaped with the edges. I have seen so many makeup artists especially bridal makeup artists use the MUFE Diamond Powder. Even Cory Walia had used it on me on my wedding day.

Diamond Powder Blanc Mauve, Star Powder Plum with Blue Highlights

You can use this on it’s own or top it for added shine at the end of your eye makeup. Every makeup artist has 2-3 shades of MUFE Diamond Powder in their collection. It is one of the finest shimmer available in the market. Even if you hate shimmer/glitter, you cannot stop falling in love with the Diamond Powder.

It gives that iridescent glow without the chunky glitter look. The pearl base is extremely fine and the pink shimmer is only what reflects on the skin on movement. If you use just a tiny bit on the centre of your eyelids, it gleams in sunlight.

I have the shade Blanc Mauve which is fine white mother of pearl pigment with pink-mauve shimmer.

Here is Star Powder on my eyes..

I like the fact that they come in smaller sizes because with pigments, you just need to touch your brush in them and even after using them well, they will last you a lifetime.

The camera did not catch the duochrome effect of the Star Powder and the pink shimmer of the Diamond Powder, it is something you can see under the sun or in light with movement. It’s beautiful!

Pigmentation is amazing, shade range is amazing. Plus they are multi use and work wet and dry for face/body/nails/hair.

They also have Star Lit Power and Metal Powder. If you are looking for a good quality pigment something like Diamond Powder which can be used for a multiple things, I highly recommend checking out Make Up For Ever pigments.

Have you tried the MUFE Star and Diamond Powder?

New Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks India Review, Swatches

New Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks India Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

I have two shades from the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks and you already saw me using one in the previous Valentine’s Day Tutorial post.

I have been testing these out and here are my thoughts..

Claims: Maybelline New York introduces Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color, a burst of statement-making color meets a surge of creamy texture. Achieve beautiful-looking lips and statement-making color with this supremely sensational matte lipstick. These hydrating lip colors glide smoothly and evenly on lips keeping them moisturized all day long. Now flaunt your pout in bright, vibrant and creamy matte shades for bold impact!

  • Precious oils leave a sensuous finish.
  • Available in 12 gorgeous hues.
  • It is extremely light weight.
  • Does not bleed or set into the lip lines.

Shades Available: 12

  • Faint for Fuchsia
  • Ravishing Rose
  • All Fired Up
  • Nude Nuance
  • Touch of Spice
  • Craving Coral
  • Mesmerizing Magenta
  • Burgundy Blush
  • Siren in Scarlet
  • Vibrant Violet
  • Divine Wine
  • Rich Ruby

MRP: Rs.575/- for 4.2g

To start with, the sheer grey purple case and steel body packaging is quite nice. I always liked the Color Sensational range packaging, they change the outer case color for different ranges.

Although I am not happy with the increase in prices, the Color Sensational range started with Rs.299/- in India and then it increased to 399, 425, 500 and now 575. I feel 575 is a little too steep for Maybelline as we always associate it with affordable prices.

The formula is creamy matte as per the name. It is very comfortable and glides on the lips easily, and gives an opaque finish in two swipes. They are quite moisturizing and feel light weight on the lips.

These are quite pigmented and stay for around 5-6 hours. Since I have both deeper, brighter shades, they definitely stay longer and leave behind a strong tint. I had to finally take them off after 6 hours and scrub my lips well to remove the tint. The lighter nude shades won’t last that long.

These are slightly glossy, and not a flat matte or powder matte finish. Also they do transfer on everything, but don’t go away completely and fade off quite evenly.

I like the fact that they have a good variety of shades, but I still see more of reds. Only two nudes and one violet, would have loved more shades in this range, at least about 20-25.

Faint for Fuchsia is a barbie fuchsia pink. Slightly cool toned but not neonish.

Craving Coral is a bright coral orange.

These swatches are two swipes, I love the pigmentation.

I do recommend the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks, I only wish it was priced below Rs.500

I am going to try both the nude shades Nude Nuance and Touch of Spice and also the Vibrant Violet.

They have recently launched the Intimatte Nudes collection in the US and I absolutely love few shades like Raw Chocolate, Beige Babe, etc. I hope they launch that range in India soon!

This Creamy Matte range is available online on Nykaa.

Your favourite shade? Are you going to try the new Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks?

Both the Glowtion Day Dew and Beauty Sleep Cream come in a sleek and long tube packaging but has a nice, pump dispensor with a cap on top. I carried both of them when I was travelling and they are perfectly safe for travel and very handy.

I quite like the packaging, very convenient and easy to use.

Coming to the product, Glowtion Day Dew is a white colored cream with very fine shimmer particles in it and a lot of them! That is the reason it gives that day glow. I like using it under a makeup base though, when used on it’s own, it gives a shine to the entire face and it can look oily at times.

Even though the Day Dew has mica and kaolin which absorbs oil and it is on the drier side, i.e. the cream is not very rich and feels dry on the skin, the shimmer gives that shiny look. Dry skin girls will like using this because of the dewy finish it gives, might not work for oily skin on it’s own. But this is excellent as a makeup base and I am using it every single time!

The Beauty Sleep Cream on the other hand is very light weight and blends and absorbs in a jiffy. I love the mango butter feel and lavender oil scent, it smells really good and I love using this each night! It does moisturize but it is nothing like rich night creams, so if you are used to those, you might needed an added oil for extra hydration.

I sometimes just add the Glow Mist on top. It is one of the lightest night creams I have used.

Both have a different colored pump, so it is easy to identify as their body packaging is similar.

The only con for both of these would be the quantity, 35ml I feel is quite less for the price. Even though the brand is premium, a little extra quantity would have been great.

24K Eye Elixir

Claims: An anti-fatigue peptide serum that that massages away puffiness as it smooths and refreshes the eye area

• This multitasker is infused with powerful age-defying ingredients to refresh eyes & prevent signs of fatigue
Collagen helps to repair the delicate eye area, peptides plump fine lines, and raspberry tones skin
• Cooling rollerball applicator soothes & encourages circulation around the eye

How to Apply

Use: AM & PM
• Step 1: Gently roll applicator under eye, from inner to outer corner, 2 to 3 times
• Step 2: For extra de-puffing, chill before use

Ingredients: Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Allantoin, Ethylhexylglycerin, Arginine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium EDTA, Adenosine, Trideceth-10, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Butylene Glycol, Iron Oxides (CI 15985, CI 17200), Steareth-20, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydrolyzed Collagen, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, Chlorhexidine Digluconate, Potassium Sorbate, Gold, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Chrysin, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7.

10ml/ 0.34 fl.oz.

Price: £22.00

This is very handy and easy to use, I love these roller ball eye elixirs/pens. It has a steel roller ball and dispenses very little product, enough for one roll from left to right and then from right to left. There is no wastage of product.

Now this doesn’t claim anything related to dark circles, it is for puffiness and fine lines. So don’t expect it to work on dark circles, it won’t. I don’t have fine lines, so can’t talk about that. But I haven’t had puffiness under my eyes or under eye bags, since the time I am using it.

If you suffer from bloating or have excess salt at times, there would usually be puffy bags under your eyes. And if you have those often, I would suggest getting this and keeping it in your fridge and using it morning and night. You will notice an immediate difference.

I quite like it, works as per claims.

Glow Mist

Claims: All-over glow mist for a radiant, dewy effect.

• Gives a glowing, luminous and smooth complexion
• Enriched with 13 natural oils plus propolis, aloe vera and fruit extracts
• Hydrates, protects and nourishes
• Sets makeup, adds a dewy finish and protects skin
• Refreshes makeup, hydrates and adds glow
• Suits all skin types
• Not tested on animals

How to apply:

• Use: In the AM and PM or when needed
• Step 1: Shake to mix
• Step 2: Close eyes and mist over face & neck

Ingredients: Water, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Propolis Extract, Niacinamide, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG/PPG-17/6 Copolymer, Panthenol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Adenosine, Rose Flower Oil, Tagetes Minuta Flower Oil, Mentha Arvensis Leaf Oil, Elettaria Cardamomum Seed Oil, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Vetiveria Zizanoides Root Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil.

80ml / 2.70 fl.oz.

Price: £16.00

I think the Glow Mist is my most favourite out of all these four products and also something I have used the most.

I use it morning, night, after makeup, etc., and each time gives a nice, dewy, glowy finish to the skin. After my skincare routine and after my makeup too.

It takes away all the powdery-ness when used after makeup, and sets it in place. It can also be used mid time to refresh your makeup.

Since this is not just thermal spring water and has a blend of different essential oils in it, it hydrates and nourishes and that’s what helps in that glowing skin.

I absolutely love this and highly recommend this.

My favourites/must haves are the Glow Mist and the Beauty Sleep Cream, followed by the Eye Elixir and the Glowtion Day Dew.

Pixi Beauty products are available on their website pixibeauty.co.uk and pixibeauty.com, Target and they also have their own stand alone stores.

Argan oil as a base makes for a wonderful lip treatment – almost like a replacement for chap sticks/lip balms. They can heal cracked lips and also keep them soft, smooth and conditioned. The use of this argan oil based lipstick during the cold seasons is perfect to prevent rough and dry lips.

MRP: Rs.750/- (Buy on Nykaa HERE)

Shades Available: 15

I love the complete gold metallic packaging! That attracts towards the lipstick instantly. The formula is very buttery and creamy, these are packed with color but with one swipe would give a sheer look and you can build up the color. You can even use it with fingers just for a stained look, that’s what Donald Simrock showcased on a few bloggers.

It does look like the shades have little shimmer, and they do have a glossy finish.

I have divided the lipsticks into 3 parts from 1 to 5, 6 to 10 and 11 to 15. Though the swatches would be right to left :/ I made that mistake

01 Ruby Velvet is a medium ruby red

02 Crimson Silk is a pink based red

03 Peaches N Cream is a light peach, suitable for fair skin tones

04 Soft Mauve is a true cool toned mauve, would work for fair to medium skin tones

05 Dewy Orange is a medium orange shade without any neon undertones, again a great color for fair skin tones.

06 Smooth Merlot is a very wearable berry red, great for medium to deep skin tones

07 Buttery Caramel is a cool toned nude brown

08 Drenched Red is a warm red

09 Soaked Berries is a grape color, would look nice on medium to deep skin tones.

10 Pink Satin is a medium hot pink shade

11 Silky Blush is a light barbie pink, would work for fair skin tones

12 Deep Brown is a gorgeous deep dark brown, as the name suggests, would work on all skin tones.

13 Juicy Plum is an aubergine plum shade, would work on medium to deep skin tones

14 Lush Rose is a bright hot pink

15 Soft Nude is a light peachy nude, an MLBB shade for fair to medium skin tones

My favourites are Deep Brown, Soaked Berries, Juicy Plum, Soft Mauve and Smooth Merlot

Which one did you like the most? Picking up any?

Feb 2017 Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

Feb 2017 Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

Hi guys,

I got my Feb Pucker Up Fab Bag today and quickly unboxed it.

MRP: Rs.599/- per month (Buy HERE)

Read my previous Fab Bag reviews:

I love the lipgloss and lip print on the bag for the ‘Pucker Up’ thing, it is absolutely perfect. And even the bag is quite nice for travel.

Products I got:

  • Sugar Liquid Lipstick Smudge Me Not in Suave Mauve- Full size (Rs.499)
  • Matra Holistic Lip Care in Kiwi- Full size (Rs.199)
  • Just Herbs Lively Clean Honey Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Gel- 50ml (Rs.230)
  • Batiste Dry Shampoo Floral & Flirty Blush in Cherry- Full size 50ml (Rs.299)

I had an option to pick one shade from the Sugar Liquid Lipstick and since I already had 4, I went with Suave Mauve which I didn’t have. Check the review and swatches of all 4 HERE

It’s a very pretty dusty nude mauve, great for fair to medium skin tones.

I love the Matra Lip Balm, it smells really refreshing and the ingredients has lot of good essential and base oils.

I have tried Just Herbs Honey Face Wash and Batiste Dry Shampoo before, like both. Glad I have it in mini sizes now, for travel.

Overall, the total price of the products in this month’s bag is Rs.1230/-. I wouldn’t say it’s a must buy but if you wanted to try Sugar Liquid Lipstick anyway, then you get 3 additional products plus the bag for just Rs.100/- extra, so that’s a good deal.

What did you get in your Feb Fab Bag?

All Nykaa So Matte Fall/Winter Lipsticks Review, Swatches

All Nykaa So Matte Fall/Winter Lipsticks Review, Swatches

Hi guys,

I had reviewed the Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks earlier HERE. They came up with 8 new shades in the Fall/Winter collection later on, I had these since quite some time but couldn’t review as was on bed rest then.

Recently they have also launched the new matte nude collection, again beautiful 8 shades. I can’t wait to try those.

Let us see the Fall/Winter shades today.

MRP: Rs.399/- (Buy HERE)

Shades:

  • Mulled Wine
  • California Merlot
  • Sugar Plum Martini
  • Spiced Cabernet
  • Cranberry Sangria
  • Irish Coffee
  • Hot Shot Espresso
  • Caramel Margarita

The packaging, price, formula is all the same. It has matching stickers behind the lipsticks with the shade names this time.

These are creamy, comfortable matte and not proper ‘matte’. So don’t expect these to be complete dry and powder finish, these are creamy and moisturizing and you may see some shine on the lips initially in quite a few shades. It will blot down later on, but these are very easy to wear unlike the drying matte lipsticks. And also these do not accentuate lines or dryness. I love the formula and pigmentation of these!

They stay for around 4-5 hours and deeper colors even longer, without eating or drinking. With eating, this will fade and will need touch up.

L-R: Mulled Wine, California Merlot. Sugar Plum Martini, Spiced Cabernet
L-R: Mulled Wine, California Merlot. Sugar Plum Martini, Spiced Cabernet

Mulled Wine is a deep berry wine

California Merlot is a cool deep red

Sugar Plum Martini is a medium plum

Spiced Cabernet is deep mauve pink

L-R: Cranberry Sangria. Irish Coffee. Hot Shot Espresso. Caramel Margarita
L-R: Cranberry Sangria. Irish Coffee. Hot Shot Espresso. Caramel Margarita

Cranberry Sangria is a medium red

Irish Coffee is a cool toned nude, very Kylie Jenner shade

Hot Shot Espresso is a warm medium rust orange

Caramel Margarita is a warm nude brown, again a great MLBB

My favourites are Irish Coffee, Spiced Cabernet, Caramel Margarita and Hot Shot  Espresso

I love how they are adding more and more browns/nudes and beautiful everyday shades which no other brand in India usually does. I have always seen reds and pinks and oranges and I am so fed up of those. Pretty happy with the color range Nykaa offers each time!

BOOTS Fragrance Free Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion Review

BOOTS Fragrance Free Eye Make-Up Remover Lotion Review

By Linda

Hello Ladies,

Today I’m presenting yet another essential product and a must have for all the ladies who love makeup. We ladies just don’t leave a chance to apply makeup, be it a party or any occasion, with great dedication we try to create all the possible looks, layering all the pigments to achieve that certain look we desire.

But once we return home we feel extremely lazy to get rid of all makeup we applied. At this moment we need a product that helps us get rid off all the color on us within seconds and without much effort , at the same time not damaging our beautiful and delicate skin around our eyes. Keeping this in mind today’s review is about a Fragrance free eye makeup remover lotion that I picked up from Boots outlet.

Unfortunately Boots outlet is not there in India. As I always say in most of my reviews I have sensitive eczema skin condition that is sensitive to perfume, hence I decided to pick this product since its suitable for sensitive skin plus its fragrance free. So let’s know more about this eye makeup remover.

Note: Please make it a practice to remove all your makeup before you hit the bed before you sleep.

Product Claims:

  • Suitable for sensitive skin or skin allergic to perfumes: Initially when you apply the product you will notice a faint fragrance but that will vanish in seconds. My skin is sensitive to perfumes and I personally did not face any irritations
  • Gently but effectively removes all traces of makeup even; even water proof: Yes totally agree with this claim, as it totally removes the all of the mascara (3 coats) , brow gel and pigments I apply.
  • Vitamin enriched

Directions: Apply with cotton wool and wipe over closed eyes.

Ingredients: Paraffinum liquidum, Poloxamer 184, Tocopheryl acetate, Retinyl palmitate.

Packaging and Texture

This lotion comes in a plastic opaque, off white bottle and a screw cap with the lid can be flipped open. I would say its travel friendly. Being a lotion formulation it has cream like thick consistency .The product can be easily taken on the finger tip and it does not even drip.

Cost: Approximately INR 130 [.500 KWD] for 150mL. [Discounted Rate].

My take on BOOTS Fragrance Free Eye Make-Up Remover:

On application of this lotion on the eye area, it spreads smoothly without smearing the makeup shabbily. A pea sized amount is required for both the eyes. I massage this lotion gently around my eyes, eye lashes and over my eye brows , wait for a few seconds for the makeup remover to do the job, Then with the help of a tissue paper or cotton ball wipe off the makeup following one direction. Please be a gentle since area around eyes are delicate.

Water proof mascara and brow gel tend to make your eyelashes and eyebrows brittle, So it’s advisable to be very gently while wiping off the makeup in these areas. Honestly speaking I do use this eye makeup remover all over my face once I finish with removing the eye makeup. I dot this lotion on my entire face and neck , gently massaged it for a minute and wipe off the makeup with a tissue. I do need to wash my face since it makes your face oily. So washing with a mild face wash would be recommended.

I’ve been using this product for about a year and haven’t had any break outs, skin irritation or any eye allergies. If you are looking for a budget friendly makeup remover for sensitive skin then definitely you must try this product.

Pros

  • Budget friendly
  • Can be also used on face
  • Can be used on sensitive skin
  • Fragrance free
  • No skin irritations
  • Travel friendly
  • Small amount works long way

Cons

  • Makes your skin oily (washing required)
  • Not available in India

Rating: 4/5

Would I recommend BOOTS Fragrance Free Eye Make-Up Remover? Yes!!! For the benefits and price you should definitely try this eye makeup remover.

Editor’s Note: This sounds really good, I have very sensitive eyes, will definitely buy it next time I am oustide India.

Have you guys tried the Boots Eye Makeup Remover?

Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation, Pressed Powder & New Matte Lip Crayons Review

Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation, Pressed Powder & New Matte Lip Crayons Review

Hi guys,

So Faces recently added 11 new shades to their already 12 existing shades in Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons and I have 4 of them with me. There are some very pretty nudes and I have all 3 of their nudes.

Also they launched the Ultime Pro Primer, Second Skin Foundation and Pressed Powder. I have been using the second skin foundation and powder since quite some time now and here are my thoughts..

Claims: FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation with its new breakthrough color technology is an ultra-lightweight, liquid-to-powder formula that works like magic on your skin. A serum based foundation, it is super luxurious on your skin and has anti-ageing properties. It gives seamless adjustable coverage and a natural matte and velvety smooth finish that looks and feels like your own skin. As it melts into your skin like a serum, the result is a noticeably brighter more youthful appearance. Available in a unique packaging with a glass bottle and dropper, and in four shades of Ivory, Natural, Beige and Sand, FACES Ultime Pro Second Skin Foundation matches specifically with the Indian skin tone and comes with SPF 15.

MRP: Rs.1499/- for 30ml

Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Pressed Powder

Claims: A powdery finish compact makeup, Faces Ultime Pro Second Skin Pressed Powder creates even-toned skin instantly, delivering natural finish to your skin. Step out confidently into the sun as Ultime Pro Second Skin Pressed powder comes with SPF 15 feature, protecting your skin throughout. With an incredibly luxurious texture, medium coverage and being light weight, it is perfect for your daily makeup. Choose your shade as this pressed powder comes in four different shades of Ivory, Natural, Beige and Sand.

MRP: Rs.899/- for 9g

Both the foundation and powder come in black and silver packaging, the packaging is very classy and nice. Especially the powder with the silver band at the center giving it an asymmetrical look.

I was pretty excited to try the foundation as it is serum based and very thin yet promises good coverage. It comes in a glass bottle with a dropper exactly like serums.

The foundation is very thin but not very runny like water. It spreads easily on the skin and I need just one drop to cover my entire face. You can always build it up and since it is very thin, it doesn’t look cakey at all anytime.

It blends really nicely with fingers without giving a streaky finish. In fact, I would suggest using fingers for this as the brush/blender would soak up some product and you anyway need very little product with this. You might need 1.5-2 drops if you use a brush or blender.

As you blend it through the skin, it gives a matte, powdery feel and evens out the skin tone really well. It gives a velvet matte finish as claimed and you wouldn’t even need to set it with powder. However for the very same reason, you need a rich, hydrating moisturizer underneath this or it will cling to all dry patches.

It has SPF 15 and is mineral oil free, hence non comedogenic and wouldn’t clog pores or break you out.

I love how just one little drop covers my entire face and gives medium coverage, it is full of pigment and covers pretty well. Though if you looking for full coverage, you will need an additional layer.

Since it is very thin and natural looking, it photographs really well. It doesn’t feel like foundation at all since it is super light weight and I am using it almost every day currently. Only reaching out for this foundation.

It is expensive though and also not very travel friendly coz of the glass bottle packaging. It would have been great if Faces had 2 more shades in this, since these 4 shades are not enough for all skin tones.

I have the shade ‘Natural’ and I was confused between Natural and Beige, thankfully Natural works perfect for me.

I have the pressed powder too in the shade ‘Natural’. I absolutely love the travel friendly and handy packaging.

The powder comes with a separate compartment on top for the puff and the steel like mirror finish on both the sides of the compartment, below the puff and in the 2nd compartment above the powder. The powder is very, very smooth and silky to touch and gives decent coverage. The coverage is good enough for people with fairly decent skin for everyday use. It mattifies the skin well, and still doesn’t feel dry.

One drop of the serum foundation and the pressed powder on top, and I am good to go with the base. That equals pretty good coverage.

Pressed Powder, Foundation both in ‘Natural’

I definitely recommend the powder, the price point is decent too. But again, more shades would have been better.

I would love to see a serum like concealer in this same Second Skin Range.

Coming to the new shades in the Faces Ultime Pro Matte Crayons, the packaging, pricing, etc. is the same. You can check the detailed review on these HERE.

MRP: Rs.799/- each

Pigmented and creamy, and give a nice matte finish. These are very comfortable to wear but will accentuate fine lines, so make sure you exfoliate and moisturize lips well as with all matte lip products.

Last time they launched many bright shades and I was longing for some nudes. And this time they have many nudes and I can’t be happier! 😀

I love the color coordinated packaging and they all come with a separate sharpener as well.

L-R: Pink Pout, Blushing Nude, Spiced Latte, Cashmere

I have the shades Pink Pout, Blushing Nude, Spiced Latte and Cashmere.

L-R: Pink Pout, Blushing Nude, Spiced Latte, Cashmere

Pink Pout is a neutral warm carrot pink, very everyday/wearable pink.

Blushing Nude is a dusty mauve

Spiced Latte is a cool toned brown

Cashmere is nude peachy brown, can see the peach in it compared to Spiced Latte

I absolutely love all four and especially the three nudes, I won’t be able to pick one favourite. Cashmere is a must have though, perfect everyday shade.

L-R: Pink Pout, Blushing Nude
L-R: Spiced Latte, Cashmere

They stay for almost the whole day with minimal fading, though they are not transfer proof but they don’t go transfer completely as they are matte.

I do recommend each of these three new launches, Faces Cosmetics is doing pretty good with all the new makeup launches.

Rust Lust: Walk into every room like you own it with Rust Lust – a terracotta red shade that strikes a delicate balance between the reds and the browns to make your pout stand out without a hint of doubt!

The packaging is exactly like the Maybelline Lip Polish. It is transparent with a black cap and the clear product inside in the shape of a lipstick bullet at the end.

The wand is slightly small and not doe foot, but that help in being precise on the corners though. You do not get a lot of product in one dip as the dispensing hole is narrow and you may have to dip twice to cover the lips well.

It has a faint vanilla scent which is quite nice. Formula wise, it is super pigmented and neither runny nor too goopy. Glides on well and easy to apply. It takes about 1-2 minutes to dry completely and once set, it won’t budge or move. So be careful while applying.

Initially it may feel super drying, but lips get used to it in about 10-15 minutes, if you are used to matte liquid lipsticks though. If you prefer satin, creamy finish liquid lipsticks, this is not for you! These are drying and you need exfoliated, moisturised lips for using these. If you have very dry lips, these would accentuate the dryness even more.

Sunlight
Indoors

The formula is pretty similar to Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks. If you prefer the Ultra Satin ones, you will find these drying. Once dried, these don’t budge at all! No transfer, no smudging, the color ain’t going anywhere. In fact, even while removing these, you would need a good oil based makeup remover to take them off.

T: Brazen Raisin, Brink of Pink
B: Tan Fan, Rust Lust

They do fade away from the inside part of the lips though, like all matte liquid lipsticks. Especially when you have oily, greasy food. They stay for 4-5 hours before fading from the inside part, but still look as good overall. You will just need to reapply on the inside part.

I love the fact that they have nudes, pinks, reds, plums, all colors. And also they have priced it very reasonably! I was expecting 699-799 as they usually have that range, I am glad it is around 500 this time.

I would recommend the Sugar Liquid Lipsticks only if you are used to wearing matte formulas and are ok with the drying part. But that does come with the advantage of long staying, non transfer color and no touch ups 😀

I love each of the 4 shades, but Tan Fan and Rust Lust are just amazing! I definitely recommend these two, they are must haves.

Also if you order Fab Bag, you would be getting one of these next month 😀 You get to choose your own shade and I have chosen Suave Mauve. I would be swatching that in the Fab Bag post or adding it here, so watch out for that shade.

These were the shades I found a little unique and different, apart from the usual reds and pinks.

What do you feel about the new Sugar Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks? Your favourite shade?
