Though its a little expensive, but then if you get luxury, you have to spend a little too..and many a times when you buy an expensive product, you would’nt really know before hand if the product would suit you and work for you..so here you get a chance to try out the luxury deluxe samples..and see what works for you..and then go ahead and buy the full sized from their site itself..and also get a discount on it..

The box and the packaging is pretty nice..the box is real sturdy and good quality with a magnetic flip on the side..in this month’s box, there is one extra sample instead of regular five..so we have six..

Overall, I would say its quite a nice beauty box..and a great way to try out luxury brands..and especially those who love skin care..Highly recommend !

Book Review: Love @ Air Force by Gaurav Sharma

About the book : The violent romance of the Fighter planes with the clouds in sky… the pulchritudinous Officers walking around arrogantly… the runway with the logo constituted by the concentric tricolored circles in the background… is the spectacle meets our eyes at the feeble mention of the Air Force but there is more about the Air Force besides these…

This is Gaurav Sharma’s first book..and for the first time, he has done quite well..

The story is about two friends, Sushil and Shabd, and how they meet at the Air Force after 20 years..and how their lives get connected again..and then the 3rd friend Soumya enters co-incidentally who is also the love of Shabd’s life..though one sided..as known to him..

The entire journey is narrated through Sushil’s voice..each and every scene is described in such a way that the picture is crystal clear in front of your eyes..

There are few extra spaces at the start here and there..and also punctuation marks required. At few places, I felt some descriptions and paras added..were not required and took the scene to a different tangent.

But other than that, very well narrated and the story is etched quite nicely..and linked perfectly..

I loved reading it..and at 150 bucks, its quite worth it !

Highly recommend.

I received this super cute diary..with all Bollywood caricature and a pen drive with this Garnier Pure Active Neem Face Wash..you must have seen this on my Insta (by the way, if you are still not following me, its @newlovemakeup)

It comes in a white and green tube packaging with a flip cap..it also has a seal inside..its light green in color with a transparent hue and has a runny consistency..and also has a neem smell.. Himalaya Neem face wash is my HG..so I am used to the smell and don’t mind it.

It foams well..and cleanses the skin thoroughly..skin feels refreshed..but also its a little drying on my cheek area (since I have combination skin) and need a moisturiser after using this. I guess this is perfect for oily skin..as it does control oil…and has tea tree oil which is good for acne..

Since I do not have any breakout right now (touchwood), I am not sure how fast it is in healing acne or if it helps with that..but it definitely did not break me out and kept acne at bay.

Pros:

1. Neem and tea tree oil, two active ingredients of this, are very good for healing acne.
2. Cleanses skin well.
3. Skin feels refreshed.
4. Controls oil.
5. Perfect for oily skin.
6. Economical than other tea tree face wash in the market.
7. Easily available.

Cons:

1. Dry skin would find it very drying…you surely need a moisturiser after this.

Overall I would say its perfect for oily skin..and controls oil and cleanses well..comes in various sizes..and one of the economical tea tree face wash in the market.

I had mentioned about the Lip N’ Cheek HERE with all the swatches..and also the shades available..

Shades:
  • Poppy: A bright orange
  • Freesia: A nude brown..MLBB kinda shade
  • Dahlia: Rust brown
  • Rose: Pretty pink brown
  • Lily: Light Peach
  • Tulip : Brick orange
  • Amaryllis : A light milky brown
  • Lotus: Pale Pink
  • Orchid: Pretty Deep Berry
I am reviewing the shade Orchid today.

It comes in a small tube form..with a slant applicator. Its quite thin in consistency and light water like in texture..

But the pigmentation is nice..once blended on the cheeks or lips..it stays ans stays..

It basically gives a soft hue or tint..a very natural look..and is perfect for everyday..when you do not want too bright a color or a lipstick on yourself…and something that stays put whole day..for the cheeks, it gives a soft flushed look..

Orchid is a deep berry shade..that gives a beetroot like pink flush to the cheeks and lips.

Pros:

1. Convenient packaging.
2. Though its a small tube, it actually contains 10 ml and being a tint, its quite a good qty.
3. Stays put whole day.
4. Gives a soft tint to the lips and a flushed look to the cheeks.
5. You just need a little bit as it is quite pigmented.

Cons:

1. Kryolan stores are not located everywhere and its not available online too.

Overall, I would say its quite worth it..and a must try..I also love the shades Poppy and Rose apart from Orchid. Check out all the shades HERE. Highly recommend it.

How to use: Line the lips with a suitable lip liner. Apply lip color with a lip brush on both upper and lower lips. To refresh and even out, press lips together. Using a lip brush gives a richer and more precise color application.

It comes in a flip cover packaging with a mirror on one side..and the brush is outside..which I tried removing in all possible ways..but it just did not budge..and I stopped trying :/

It is super creamy and pigmented..highly glossy…love the texture..

Also it stays for a 3-4 hours and leaves behind a stain..but does transfer on objects..

003 Fabel Pink is no pink..but a soft coral on me..

Pros:

1. Nice packaging…handy mirror and brush (If it comes out, that is :p)
2. Super creamy
3 Very pigmented.
4. Stays for 3-4 hours and leaves behind a stain.
5. No lip balm or gloss needed..quite moisturising and glossy.
6. Feels quite light..and does not smear or spread.

Cons:

1. Little expensive.
2. Does transfer on everything.
3. Brush is of no use to me..as just does not come out :/ 

Overall I did say..these are quite nice..and perfect for times when you do not want heavy rich colors..but something casual yet nice..Also the shades available are all nice..I do recommend these..

Oxyglow Bearberry and Grape Fairness Skin Lightening Facewash Review

What the Company claims: The bearberry and grape fairness face wash helps in preventing roughness of skin by deep cleansing the pores. It helps in restoring the optimum moisture balance of the skin. It is a skin lightening fairness face wash which helps in maintaining the youthfulness of the skin as well.

Directions for Use: It is to be used twice an day followed up with oxyglow intensive moisturizing lotion.

Review

The oxyglow bearberry and grape fairness face wash looks very appealing. The entire look and feel of the product is interesting. Through the transparent tube the face wash is visible and it immediately ups our curiosity quotient. Small purplish blue beads / granules of the bearberry and grape extracts beg for attention. They keep us engaged and after a minute or so you end up realising it is not a toy (the beads going up and down is pretty fun) but a face wash.

Just like the looks, the aroma of this product is fruity and refreshing. How I wish I could go on writing only the good stuff about it. For me this face wash did not quiet work. I have a combination skin (leaning more towards dry skin) and an oily T-zone and when used upon, the face wash ended up making my skin (especially the area around the lips and chin) feel very dry instead of moisturizing it.

The fact that this product contains SLES (sodium lauryl ether sulphate), SLS (Sodium laureth sulphate) which is a cleansing and foaming agent is not reassuring. It could cause skin / eye irritation for those allergic to it. For me this was not a deterrent as I am not allergic to any of the above.

On the other hand some Grape seed, Aloe Vera, Bearberry and Chamomile extracts help in inducing a relaxing fragrance and feel to the skin. This product might work wonders for the oily skin type. It will surely provide some good moisture balancing and rejuvenation to the oily skin type.

As far as the packaging is concerned, it is a very convenient tube with a flip cap. The pricing is also fine.

Let me summarize this one for you all:-

Pros:

1. Attractive purple granules lends an appealing look 

2. Foams well

3. Very refreshing fragrance

4. Will work well for the oily skin type

5. Has many extracts of fruits (grape, bearberry etc) and plants (chamomile) 

6. Enriched with Vitamin E

7. Decent quantity and pricing

Cons:

1. Not suitable for all skin types

2. Contains some chemicals which could cause allergic reactions

3.  Feels little more chemical based than natural

Price Rating: 8/10

Availability: 8/10

Overall Rating: 6/10

I liked 101 Red Siren which is a true red shade..but then I had many deep reds..I picked up 115 Enraptured Red and 335 Hot Date.

It comes in three different color families..so the packaging has three different colored caps..

Most of them I swatched where frost finish or gave that effect..I picked up 115 and 335 which were not frost..

115 Enraptured Red is a nice deep pinkish red.

335 Hot Date is a light mauve plum

These are super moisturising..no need of any lip balm with these..and highly pigmented..like two swipes give deep opaque coverage..and would cover pigmented lips too..

What I was amazed at..is the staying power ! No moisturising lipstick stays that long..like max 3-4 hours..this stayed for 6-7 hours plus and the tint was there till the end..which was quite deep and prominent too..

Pros:

1. Super pigmented.
2. Highly moisturising.
3. Stays for 6-7 hours and leaves behind a strong tint.
4. Has a soft rose fragrance.
5. Chic color wise packaging.
6. Glossy finish.
7. Does not smear or bleed.

Cons:

1. Expensive.
2. More shades in frost finish out of the shades launched.
3. Not all shades launched here.

Overall quality wise, these are fab ! When all qualities are present in a lipstick, its perfect ! And this one is..I highly recommend these !

I loved the gold embossing and the packaging..this as claimed are indeed, super pigmented ! I was surprised by the pigmentation the first time I applied it..


I generally have to build up nail colors..even the darker ones..as to minimum 2-3 coats..this was :swoosh: in one coat..super duper bright..no second coat drama !

Its super glossy and no need of a top coat too. The brush is easy to use..

Only issue being it started chipping from the tips the second day..and then all over after 3-4 days..I wished it stayed longer..and also takes time to dry..but nonetheless, the pigmentation is just amazing..


I have applied Hollywood Red here..even Pink Drama is bright and pigmented..



Hollywood Red is a true bright bold red.


Pink Drama is a deep raspberry pink..just love this shade !

Tea Rose is a neutral rosy pink..one of those nude pinks..good for formal wear.

Would do an NOTD with a lighter shade like Tea Rose too..

I highly highly recommend Hollywood Red for brides-to-be ! And the Pink Drama too..one of my HG now..This is one must have nail enamel !

To start with, I lovee the packaging ! The gold pacakging..and click through mechanism..alike Chanel Rouge Allure..at this price is fab..

The formula is super moisturizing..with the number of oils in the ingredients..it has to be that moisturizing.



It is super duper bright and pigmented..with two swipes you have perfect opaque coverage..and would work for pigmented lips too.

Coral Red is a bright orangey red..actually more of orange than red…this shade would look fab on all skin tones.

It stays for 4-5 hours and leaves behind a pretty tint..

Here is it on me..

Pros:

1. Amazing packaging.
2. Superb pigmentation.
3. Very creamy and moisturising.
4. Stays for 4-5 hours and leaves behind a nice pretty deep tint.
5. 3 beautiful reds in this range..red lovers definitely need to get one !
6. Though its expensive..but mostly on offers..and quite a steal when on a offer ! Don’t miss.

Cons:

1. Available through reps.
2. Would have loved more shades..peaches, plums, corals, mauves, rose pinks..
3. Transfers.

There are 3 shades of red, one pink and one brown..I am loving the sound of the Pink one..Pink Drama…love the Pink Drama Nail enamel of this range !

Overall, I would say its amazing in quality and texture..and a must try..all three reds are pretty nice..and the pink one too..Highly recommended !

If you follow me my facebook and/or twitter..you would be knowing how I got the box torn from one side..and the pen drive was missing..
 
And instead of the grey, I got two green shades..
 
So lets review the four I have..

It comes in the same retractable kajal packaging as Lakme Eyeconic in Black or other kajals in the market..its a tough competition in kajals category, I tell you..

 
White is a pure white shade
 
Brown is a dark chocolate brown
 
Green is a deep forest green
 
Blue is a light forest green (?) (I have no idea why the blue is a green..Lakme has released blue which is almost similar to the green..just a tad bit lighter..I had first thought I got three greens..but it was named blue..and when I saw online, I found that their blue is just like the green..I wish it was a navy blue or a nice peacock or turquoise blue..why the same blue as green, Lakme ?)

Anyways, so here you see only white and brown different..and two similar greens :p

T-B: Brown, Blue, Green, White

These are so super soft..these just break ! Two of the pencils’ tips broke while swatching..and again while trying..I have no idea why these are so soft..do they need to be kept in fridge or something ? It is as it is quite cold..this is only leading to product wastage..and after breaking the tip again and again, you will be hardly left with any product :/

One has to be super careful with this..
 
These do glide on smoothly and are too soft..no tugging or pulling..pigmentation is quite good too..
 
They stay on for 7-8 hours on my upper lashline and for 4-5 hours on my waterline..there was not much smudging..but just that they collect at the edges of the eye..but no raccoon eyes issue..
 
White looks too stark white..I prefer nudes on my waterline..I like using the white in the inner corners of the eyes..
Here I have used brown on my upper and lower lashline and waterline and white slightly in the inner corners..


I like the green one too..

Overall, I would say these are new in the market and colored kajals are a nice thing to have..and budget friendly too..only issue is too much product wastage..and not many shade options..
 
I would recommend the Green and Brown ! And if you like using white on the waterline..White too..

Would I buy it again: Yes..may be the Brown and Green..and other shades, if they come out with them..How I wish they do..
