MRP: Rs.400/- for 15ml

Shades Available: 8

It comes in a round huge bottle..15ml is a very good qty. Scarlet Red is a deep pinky red..looks quite pretty..

It gives a nice glossy finish as claimed..and there is no need of a separate top coat…super smooth to apply.

But it started chipping from the tips in 2-3 days and the shine became dull too..

Pros:

1. Pretty pinky red shade.
2. Huge qty.
3. Shiny glossy finish..no need of a separate top coat.
4. Dries fast..
5. 2 coats give perfect opaque coverage.
6. Smooth and creamy and applies evenly.

Cons:

1. Started chipping from tips in 2-3 days.
2. Expensive at 400 !
3. Shine became dull later on.

Overall I would say, you can give this a try if you like a particular shade and love glossy shiny nails..but this is surely a little expensive compared to other nail paints in the market…one red is good to have ! I am obsessed with red nail paints and have one from every brand I guess 😀

I quite like Pink Burst and Coral Rush too..

The product is equipped with SPF 35 PA+++ that protects the skin from UV rays and prevents from any environmental damage.

MRP: Rs.550/- for 30ml

Ingredients:

Shades Available: N1 Ivory, G2 Gold, G1 Honey

I have the G2 Gold which is the medium one and a perfect match for most of us..the other two are extremes..light and dark.

It comes in a nice gold and cream tube packaging with a small nozzle dispensor..

I like the light floral smell..and its quite light in texture and in coverage too..it blends well and absorbs into the skin..and moisturises well.
Blogger is making all pics look weird somehow..no idea why :/

Unblended, Blended

The coverage is good and can be builded up..I usually blend in the extra on my problem areas and I am sorted..also it gives a whitish cast coz of SPF 35..and stays for 4-5 hours..after which needs some touch up on the T-zone.

Pros:

1. Hydrating and moisturising.
2. Light in texture and blends well.
3. SPF 35 PA+++..covers your sunscreen needs.
4. Comes in 3 shades..Neutral would work for most of us.
5. Chic packaging.
6. Gives a semi matte finish.
7. Contains apricot kernel oil, coriander fruit oil, jojoba seed oil, passiflora edulis seed oil, macadamia ternifolia seed oil and Vitamin E.
8. Good coverage.

Cons:

1. Expensive compared to other BB creams in the market and for the 30 ml qty.
2. Stays for 4-5 hours and needs touch up later.

Overall I do like it..only issue is the whitish cast..it would suit dry skin more..and those who need less coverage..its a little on the expensive side though…but surely worth a try.

It comes in a normal round packaging with a transparent plastic lid..no mirror or applicator. Its a huge pan compared to other eyeshadows….4g is a huge qty..I think by far the biggest eyeshadow I have in my stash.

I got the shade 107 Burnt Bark coz its supposed to be MAC Satin Taupe Dupe 😀 I love taupes..and this is one amazing satin finish taupe..perfect shade for everyday neutral eyes…and almost 95% close to MAC Satin Taupe eyeshadow.

It stays for 5-6 hours and longer with a primer..and is super smooth in texture..and has no fall outs..this swatch is just one swipe.

Pros:

1. Super huge qty..4g
2. Comes in 13 shades and different finishes..from matte to pearl.
3. Dupe of MAC Satin Taupe.
4. Economical.
5. Well pigmented.
6. Stays for 5-6 hours and longer with a primer.

Cons:

1. Plastic packaging is kinda ok.
2. Not easily available.

Overall I love this color..coz I get a MAC dupe which is equally good with more the qty at 1/3rd the price..I know Inglot has dupes..but that would be a separate refill and this has more qty too..and also Inglot Pearl 402 which is supposed to be a MAC Satin Taupe dupe does not have that purple undertones which Satin Taupe and Burnt Bark have. This one is much more closer..Highly recommend !

Book Review: The Guardian Angels by Rohit Gore

Book Review: The Guardian Angels by Rohit Gore

About the book : The Guardian Angels is the epic and tumultuous story of two star-crossed lovers who weren’t just soul-mates but were also each other’s protectors.

The fates of Adi Mehta and Radha Deodhar are deeply entwined when within days of their first rendezvous they save each other’s lives.

Despite their vast sociopolitical differences, they are drawn to an uncertain future fraught with contrasting ambitions, personas and ideologies.

. . . he is the son of a billionaire, she is the daughter of a socialist.
. . . he is quiet and unassuming, she is a firebrand and spirited.

However, the unexplained phenomena ties them forever – whenever they are in peril, they are each other’s only saviors.

Over the following two decades Adi and Radha live through hope and despair, joy and sadness, and try to decipher their relationship. As the truth of their bond is revealed, they must confront the true nature of love, and ultimately, their destinies.

This book is Author Rohit Gore’s fourth book..I have not read the first three..so don’t know much about them..

But I would say I can trust buying his books now onwards..coming to The Guardian Angels, its a story of Radha and Adi, best of friends ? Soul mates ? Lovers ? What relationship did they share ? As described perfectly by Nicole at the end, they were each others’ Guardian Angels !

I loved how he described each and every single little detail..you can imagine the whole thing exactly in front of you..the writing is amazing..I am a fan, Rohit Gore ! The book keeps you hooked and engaged as to what next..every time I had to stop reading it coz I had other work or had to sleep, I used to get so excited to continue it..to know what happened later..

Though it did lose somewhere little bit, when it was too much in depth, where not required..I feel thats ok..considering how amazing the overall book is..

A little grammatical errors here and there and you can see the clear Bollywood plus real life inspirations from here and there (Billionaire..you know who it is..and the house Samriddhi..you know this similar tall 27 storey bungalow/building in Mumbai :D)..as far as writing goes, full marks..I definitely recommend this book !! And am going to buy more of Rohit Gore for sure. And at the pricing of Rs.125/-, its totally worth it and paisa vasool.

Its well divided into different parts when they were kids to in their 20s and 30s and the whole thing narrated through Radha’s diary.

What happens at the end..do they meet or marry or what happens to their relationship ? Well, you have to read it to know 😀

This book would make you feel, having a guardian angel in your life too, like Adi/Radha.

The Nature’s Co. Red and Green Tea Sunscreen Lotion Review

The Nature’s Co. Red and Green Tea Sunscreen Lotion ReviewThis is a review long overdue..and there are lots coming more coming 😀 I am exhausted..what a tiring day..just sorting out stuff..and now I have to review so much 😮 I would love it, if you guys can help me out..see HERE.

What the Company claims: You can bravely face the sun with this all-natural sun protector. Red Tea will shield your skin from harsh UV rays while providing you with essential moisturizing and conditioning while Green Tea has powder anti-oxidants properties.
Massage gently onto your face, neck, hands and other exposed parts of body at least 30 minutes before going out into sun.

MRP: Rs.375/- for 125ml

Ingredients: Ingredients: Red tea extract, Green tea extract, Olive oil, Vitamin – E, Aloe Vera extract, Sesame oil, Grape seed oil

It falls under the Starrize Collection. It comes in a fat tube packaging like all The Nature’s Co. Products.

Has a strong green/red tea smell..I am not a fan :/ Its light yellow in color and has a medium consistency..not too runny like a lotion..takes some time to absorb.

Its a nice natural sunscreen without the added chemicals..coz for higher sun protection, there are loads of chemicals in sunscreens from zinc oxide to what not..and the best thing is no white cast as in most of the sunscreens..but this does not have any SPF or PA mentioned sadly..so cannot say a fool proof way of protection from sun….but if you are someone who sweat out with sunscreen or do not like using one, you can try this..

Pros:

1. All Natural sunscreen without the chemicals.
2. No whitish cast.
3. Does not sweat out.
4. Tube packaging..easy to use.
5. Qty is good enough for the price.

Cons:

1. No SPF or PA protection mentioned.
2. Would not be safe for days when you are going to be under the sun for longer hours.

Overall I would say its a nice sunscreen for daily use..but not for long sun exposure..if you are someone who is used to a higher SPF sunscreen, you can skip this..but if you someone who do not like sunscreens or they sweat you out, you should surely try this..

Aloe Veda Avocado Face Wash Review

Aloe Veda Avocado Face Wash Review

Review by Shruti

What the Company claims: Aloe Veda’s Oil-Control Formula Wild Rose Face Cleanser contains active ingredients such as Aloe Vera and Glycerin that clears the facial pores and destroys bacteria in the face pores that can lead to breakouts and inflammation. It is oil-free and non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog the pores of your face. The active ingredients such as plant Glycerin and Allantoin will not strip your face of its natural oils but will cleanse the skin of bacteria, dirt, excess oils, toxins and dead skin cells and aid your face in shedding old skin.

Does not contain harsh ingredients such as Alpha Hydroxy acids, parabens and alcohol. Rinses off easily ensuring that skin does not get dry and itchy due to the sticky film deposited. Contains pure essential oils & nutrients to suit all skin type. The formula is cruelty free and 100% vegetarian.

Price: Rs 110/- for 100ml

It has arrived ! A good , value for money product. Aloe Veda Avocado Face Cleanser has ingredients as its name suggests Avocado, Wild rose and Glycerin. The company claims that the use of this face wash prevents break outs without drying the skin. The skin will retain its natural oils. The face wash does not contain any harmful ingredients such as Parabens or Alcohol. Its light pale pink in color and has a gel like consistency.

My personal experience with this product has been really good. The refreshing soft rosy fragrance of the face wash makes a hectic day less stressful. The after effects of this one leaves you with a smooth, glowing skin. Yes the natural oils are retained. I have used it maximum twice in a day. The experience has been very good. I would clearly rate the product on a higher scale.

The packing seems convenient. It comes in a plastic bottle .the face wash has to be squeezed out. The quantity dispensed is just right. Though the squeezing can get a little difficult since the bottle is not soft plastic.

Sadly it has silicones though that did not harm me..but those who are allergic to silicones, it might not suit them..and its not easily available.

Yes to the question if I would ever buy this one again. Maybe I will buy it always !

New Maybelline 12H Colossal Kajal Review, Swatches

New Maybelline 12H Colossal Kajal Review, Swatches
I had reviewed the Maybelline Colossal Kajal previously HERE. Now they have relaunched it in a darker and more long staying form..the previous one claimed 6 hours of wear and this one claims 12 hours..

Read on to know how it fares..

What the Company claims:

MRP: Rs.175/- for 0.35g

The packaging is the same..the same yellow swivel up mechanical pencil. Its nice, rich black and easy to apply..does not tug or pull.

Thats the whole qty

I did not like the previous one much..as it did not stay longer on my watery eyes..in fact no kohl stays longer than 2-3 hours on me..

But but this one did ! For almost 5-6 hours which is a very good thing considering my watery eyes. But it does smudge a little more than the previous one..that did not spread around giving raccoon eyes..this one does at times..

Here is the swatch..

L: Swatch R: After smudging

And on eyes..

Before, After

Pros:

1. Its nice dark black.
2. Glides on nicely..no tugging or pulling.
3. Reasonably priced.
4. Stays for 5-6 hours on my watery eyes ! Thats a long time for me 😀
5. It does not go away completely leaving your eyes bare..and there is always a hint of it till the time you remove it.
6. Does not smear much..the swatch did not budge from the hand.

Cons:

1. Claim of 12 hours..I am not really sure about.
2. No Ingredients mentioned.
3. Does give raccoon eyes at times..especially when eyes watery.

Rating:

Quality: 3.75/5
Value for money: 4/5
Availability: 4/5

Overall Rating: 3.75/5

Would I buy it again: Yes..I am pretty impressed by the staying power of this..much better than the previous one..

Garnier BB Cream Review, Swatches

Garnier BB Cream Review, Swatches and Comparision with Maybelline BB Cream

I know this is quite an outdated review for many of you..I am very late..but nonetheless..better late than never..

What the Company claims:

Ingredients:

MRP: Rs.99/- for 18g, Rs.199/- for 40g

It comes in a small tube packaging..thats almost the size of your palm..quite similar to the Maybelline BB Cream..has the same small nozzle type dispensor..
Unfortunately Garnier one comes in only one shade..does suit me well..and anyone around NC 35-40 should not have much of a problem..above that, it might be a little lighter..but I guess it would blend up well.

Its light in texture as claimed and is moisturising too (but dry skin would need added moisture)..has SPF 24 UVA/UVB protection..covers up redness and evens skin tone..medium coverage..and stays for 3-4 hours after which it starts getting shiny and needs touch up.

Compared to the Maybelline BB Cream in Nude,

Maybelline comes in 3 shades (that have yellow undertones) and Garnier has one shade (might be lighter for people above NC 40)..Maybelline has SPF 21 and Garnier has SPF 24, Maybelline is more creamier and works better for dry skin, Garnier would work more for oily skin, Coverage wise Maybelline offers a tad bit more coverage.

T-B: Garnier BB, Maybelline BB in Nude

I loved using this and it was a staple until I found my love..another BB Cream..would review soon..

I do recommend this for oily combination skin and who do not need much coverage..its handy, economical and works well.

Rating:

Quality: 3.75/5
Value for money: 4/5
Availability: 4/5

Overall Rating: 4/5

Would I buy it again: Yes..I do like it..but as I said I have found my love and I think I would stick to that..wait up for that 😀
