How to Use

1. Pump the cleansing oil 2~3 times on a dry palm. The facial skin should be dry at that times.

2. Spread the cleansing oil smoothly all over the face.

3. Massage the face with little amount of water left on your fingers and reduce the makeup & skin dirts on your face.

4. Finish cleansing to wash the face with warm water and there is no need to wash twice.

It has a pump dispensor and stopper in between..comes in a long sleek bottle..its very very light..and totally non sticky..

I just use this as a makeup remover these days..removes complete makeup including waterproof mascara..and even on non makeup days..cleansing face with this at night before retiring..helps me get rid of all the dirt or grime..

Pros:

1. Super light in texture.
2. Completely non sticky.
3. Removes all the makeup or dirt, grime, etc..this deep cleanses the skin completely as claimed.
4. Has a pump dispensor..and is quite easy to use.

Nyassa Fresh Raspberry Soap Review

Nyassa Fresh Raspberry Soap Review

Fresh Raspberry Handmade Soap

MRP: 100 grams Rs. 200

The essence of sweet summer raspberries, ripe and ready to fall off the vine.

For best results, a rub or two will give excellent lather & the soap will last much longer. Please keep the soap dry between use. For all skin types

Naturally Pampering Ingredients: Soap Base, Essential oil/Fragrance and Colour

Best before 12 months from manufacture/100% Vegetarian

Its a clear soap..with a green base on one side..though thats quite less compared to the pic..

I love the smell !! It smells of real raspberries..

It does foam a lot..you can cut it into pieces and use as required..I like the fact that its not as drying as other soaps..though a little drying..more so if you used to creamy body washes like me..I use the Johnsons..

The only con would be once in contact with water..later even if you store it in a dry place..it keeps on precipitating and melting..I don’t know why..I keep cleaning and drying it..and still every time I see it..its wet all over with small water droplets over it..and this makes it melt and finish off sooner..now I don’t know how to keep it dry..apart from storing it in a dry place..

I also find it a little expensive for 100g..and also since it melts off sooner..

You can even buy it on the Nyassa site online..they have some additional shipping charges depending on the state..its Rs. 50/- for Maharashtra..They are also available on Craftsvilla, Urban Touch and Flipkart..

They have many other soaps like berry, lemon, mogra, rose and cardamom, etc in clear base..and other variants like Honey and Oats Soap and Loofah Soaps…I would love to try more of these..

If you like clear soaps, I did recommend trying this..

Bootie Babe Nail Polish Review, Swatches

Bootie Babe Nail Polish Blue Baboo, Bossy Mossy Review, Swatches

ABOUT BOOTIE BABE

Bootie Babe® is a new beauty and fashion brand developed by SuperBooty LLC.

In Oct of 2011 the company is proudly launching its first collection, a line of nail polish featuring cute and collectible bootie shaped bottles.

SuperBooty President and CEO Mark O’Hara wanted to create a humorous, bold and truely unique beauty product that would literally “stand out” from the competition.

O’Hara’s creative and business interests go beyond nail polish.
He states “My goal is to develop the Bootie Babe brand and manufacture a variety of products including cosmetics, apparel, accessories, gifts and jewelry.

SuperBooty LLC understands the need to market cosmetics that are safe, free of toxic ingredients and developed using cruelty-free testing procedures.

Bootie Babe lacquer formulations are developed specifically to be “California Safe”,  and do not include chemicals such as formaldehyde, toulene, and dibutyl-pthalate.

These mini booties cost 4$ each and the shipping is 6$ for upto 3 bottles..and increases..accordingly..so you can get 3 bottles at 18$ which is very decent enough..and the quantity in each is also 9ml which is pretty good..

First of all, is’nt the packaging super fun..my mom and granny were a little amazed though 😀 And anyone at first would be seeing a nail polish bottle of a bootie shape..

I love the cute packaging and the brush is nice too..only the formula is a too thick..and after one coat..it kind of goes gooey at times..and takes a lott of time to dry too..

I love the Blue Baboo shade..a pastel kind an egg blue..its quite flattering..and the formula of this is somehow better too..

Where as the Bossy Mossy is a moss green with a neon tinge..though I liked the shade at first..but the formula of this was kinda thicker..and then when I removed it..it stained my nails a greenish yellow !! And the stain just did not go..I so hated that..it stayed for a month or so..

See how it has smeared a little coz did not dry and even chipped a little on the index finger..

I loved the shade Blue Baboo and definitely recommend that..check out more shades here

Which did you like ??

Avon Glazewear Intense Lipgloss Animal Instinct Review, Swatches

What the Company claims: Glossy shine with comfortable wear on lips.

MRP: Rs. 329/- for 4.5g (Currently Rs. 229/-)

Animal Instinct is a part of the new Urban Jungle Collection..2 other shades from this collection are Concrete Safari and Wild Wilderness.

The Intense ones come in some 7-8 shades..

Animal Instinct is a deep earthy reddish brick brown..but quite a wearable one..

Its totally non sticky and very moisturising..plus this is one of the most pigmented and long staying glosses I have tried..

Here is it on me..

Pros:

1. Very pigmented.
2. Totally non sticky.
3. Staying power is around 2 hours..which is quite good for a gloss..and it does not leave the lips bare..
4. Has a normal slant applicator..which is easy to work with.
5. Its completely matte..so appropriate for day time too.
6. Economical at Rs. 229/- when on offer..plus the quantity is good too.

Cons:

1. Avon is available only through reps.

Inglot AMC Pressed Powder Review

Inglot AMC Pressed Powder Review

What the Company claims: PARABEN FREE FORMULA NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS

MRP: Rs. 950/- for 9g/0.32US OZ

Ingredients:

It comes in 11-12 shades here..I have the shade 55 which is a perfect match for me..so if you are around NC 35-37 go for shade 55..

But the AMC Pressed Powder refill costs Rs. 550/- for 13g which is like quite good i.e more the quantity and less the price..only issue would be the refill would not be that travel friendly..

It comes in a round black packaging and has a big mirror on one side..it does not come with any puff..though I as it use a brush, so do not need one..but that might have helped while travelling..

It is so super silky and soft..though its a powder, it gives that soft creamy feeling..and it even gives medium enough coverage..much better than other presses powders I have used..

Pros:

1. Super silky and smooth..its gives a creamy feel to the skin and no dryness.
2. Gives a medium coverage..good enough for everyday.
3. The quantity would last quite long.
4. Comes with a big mirror across..one would not need separate mirrors when carrying this.
5. The classic black packaging is nice and sturdy and travel friendly too.
6. No cakiness or patchiness..this goes smooth..I generally use a powder brush or kabuki.
7. Refill is economical with more quantity and very reasonable pricing.
8. Inglot has no parabens and not tested on animals.
9. Does not contain talc..and has titanium dioxide which also acts as a sunscreen.

Cons:

1. Inglot is not available everywhere..though you can buy it online here
2. The refill is not so travel friendly.
3. Does not come with a puff..you need to carry your puff or brush with it..

Overall I am in love with this super smooth pressed powder..its the best I have used till now..and I am not turning to anything else any sooner..I surely recommend this..and if you are ok with the refill, I would say order today !

I am totally digging herbal oils these days..you would know if you read my Herbis Herbal Oil Review

Though my hair did improve a lot, I did not like the smell of that and it was very difficult to remove it while shampooing..I had mentioned in the cons..

This is a light yellow colored oil..and has a decent smell..and its non sticky too..gets off easily in 1-2 washes..

I usually use a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame and add essential oils or camphor, etc according to my whims and fancies..but the basic oil mix base is of 3-4 base oils..Javakusum means Hibiscus and this oil has quite a good base of it..which is quite beneficial for hair growth, conditioning and darkening..it also cools down the head..

Since this has both sesame and coconut oil and even castor oil along with amla, heena, hibiscus, etc I do need to make any mix and use only this..

I did see some reduction in dandruff with these..I am not sure about split ends or darkening of hair, since I do not face that issue..but my hair does feel shinier and softer after every time I shampoo and have oiled hair with this..

My only con with this would be availability..Just Herbs is only available online..and the cost..its quite expensive for 100ml..which would last just 5-6 uses depending on the hair length..

Though its a nice mix of ingredients..and if one likes to use herbal oils or is suffering from dandruff or split ends, I surely recommend trying this..

But here only 4 shades are available: Coral Lustre, Fruit Punch, Lacquered Brown and Plum Shine

MRP: Rs. 399/- for 3.5g

These are shaped exactly like Maybelline Colorsensational..only have a steel grey packaging.

I wanted Coral Lustre from the time it was launched in US..I so loved the shade at the very instant.

Its true coral shade with some silver shimmer..and has a super glossy shine and finish..it does moisturise lips and works as a lip balm too…now a lipstick which does the work of a balm 😉

Though its sheer and one swipe is light, it can be builded..see 3 swipes..

T-B: 1 swipe, 3 swipes

Here is it on me..

Pros:

1. Very creamy and moisturising..so much so that it might melt in heat.
2. Gives a super glossy shiny mirror like finish..you do not need a separate gloss with this.
3. Though the color comes up sheer in one swipe, it can be buildable.
4. It leaves behind a pretty coral pink kinda tint.
5. I liked the packaging.
6. Shimmers are not gritty.
7. Does not settle in fine lines.

Cons:

1. Staying power is average..stays for an hour or 2 without eating or drinking…though the color does not completely vanish away.
2. Its expensive for 3.5 g..compared to the Colorsensational range..its more the price and less the quantity.
3. Might not work for pigmented lips.
4. Finishes off soon.
5. Shimmers stray across lips, at times.

Overall I quite love the shade..I am a fan of corals..and such glossy colors..and it has decent pigmentation and even leaves behind a tint. If you like glossy lipsticks and corals, this is a must buy.

Pond’s White Beauty Daily Spot-less Lightening Day Cream Review

Pond’s White Beauty Daily Spot-less Lightening Day Cream with SPF 20 PA++ Review

Now thats a mouthful !

What the Company claims: After researching with over 20,000 genes, the Pond’s Institute identified a specific gene that significantly affects melanin production. Through this discovery, our most effective skin lightening formulation containing the revolutionary GenWhite™ formula has been created. It adapts to your unique skin to successfully lighten and even-out your complexion and prevent discolorations at the source.

What’s amazing about it is that the product works differently on each person. So, if there are areas on your skin that need extra help and contain more melanin, the formula concentrates on lightening and brightening those exact problem spots.

Sizes Available   50g         35g        25g     15g      9g
Price                Rs 249    Rs 140   Rs 80  Rs 49  Rs 10

Ingredients:

This comes in a pink and white oblong shaped tub..a trademark with Pond’s for the biggest size..since its made of glass..one has to be careful and its a little heavy too..not very travel friendly…it has a separate white lid on top which makes the rims messy always.

Its a baby pink colored thick cream with a powder like soft smell..not bothersome..now do not go by its looks..though its a thick cream, it is completely dry and mattifying..so much so that it would best work for oily combination skin..dry skin might needed added moisturisation.

Pros:

1. It does what it claims..it does lighten, brighten and even out skin tone, helps in lightening acne marks..and even helps in removing tan.
2. Completely matte and does not give that shiny greasy feeling..love that in summers.
3. Has SPF 20 PA++ protection..not enough..but something is better than nothing, right.
4. Comes in many different sizes and prices..and the other packing is not a huge glass jar..much travel friendly.

Cons:

1. Gives a whitish cast like in a high SPF sunscreen or a BB cream..its needed to be blended well..would be more so a problem for dusky skin tones.
2. Has parabens, phenoxyethanol and silicones.
3. And now time for some calculations..don’t mind I am a CA :p You get 9g of product for Rs. 10, so for Rs. 60, you can get 54g i.e 4g more than in this tub..so you pay about 4 times more just for the tub..and that goes for all increasing quantities..so its best bought in the smallest pack 😀
4. The white lid makes the rims of the tub messy every time.

Overall I did the cream and I am quite impressed with the formulation..best suited for oily to combination skin..would surely recommend this for them..dry skin may needed added moisture..and its best bought in the smallest pack.
