Ingredients:

Parachute body lotion is available in 3 pack sizes : 20 ml for an attractive price of Rs 5, 100 ml for Rs 65 and 250 ml for Rs 125/- .

Remember the packaging I had shown you last time..this time too it came beautifully packed..in a wooden slider box with candles and Fox Mint candies..

The bottle is shaped the same as the other variants..a curvy one..

The thing I like about the Summer Fresh one the most is the cooling mint extracts..it seriously feels thanda thanda cool cool types 😀

Its a white colored lotion..medium in texture..neither too thick nor too runny. The lotion is water based and quite light..gets absorbed in a jiffy..you do not need to rub it in or wait for it to sink in..it has a nice minty smell..refreshing..

Pros:

1. Quite liked the packaging.
2. Gets absorbed in a jiffy.
3. Has a nice minty smell.
4. Quite economical at Rs. 125/- for 250ml..thats a lot of quantity..all other body lotions are priced high comparatively.
5. This is perfect for summers..the minty cooling sensation plus the light non greasy texture..me likes
6. Easily available.
7. It does leave the skin soft and supple as claimed.
8. It claims to have double sunscreen..though the SPF is not mentioned..but if it has sunscreen properties..then solves dual purpose.

Cons:

1. Has parabens and Phenoxyethanol.
2. I am not sure if it would be moisturising enough for dry skin.
3. They mention double sunscreen..but not the SPF !

Overall I loved using Parachute Summer Fresh..and this is going to be summer body lotion always.. (until I find a better one)..though the summers are over..here the rains just come for a day and go again..teasing :/ And the heat and humidity is still there…I am using it and loving it..surely recommended.

MRP: 32$ for 7 pcs

Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua), 1, 3 – Butylene Glycol, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Sodium PCA (Sodium 1-Pyrrolidonecarboxylate Solution), Propylene Glycol, Lemon (Citrus medica limonum) Fruit Extract, Sour Milk (Lactic Acid), Mandelic Acid, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Carboxymethyl Beta-Glucan, Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) Flower Extract, Algae Extract, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Sodium Hyaluronate, Co-enzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone), Hydrogenated Egg Yolk Phosphlipids, Acerola (Malpighia punicifolia) Fruit Extract, Alcohol Denat., Glycerin, Lecithin, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Fragrance, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, BHA (Salicylic Acid), Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Phenoxyethanol, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Sulisobenzone (Benzophenone-4).

How to use:

1. Use Leach Me 2 to 3 times weekly, after cleanser.
2. Remove protective sheet and place mask evenly on whole face for 20 to 30 minutes.
3. Remove the mask and gently massage excess serum into the skin.
4. Gently pat dry.
5. Use the product immediately after opening.

It has separate sheets inside..

This is like a normal sheet mask..I have used Neutrogena Fine Fairness one before..and this looks similar. Since this is meant for hydrating and moisturising the skin..it does exactly that..at first skin feels soothed and gives a cooling effect..I generally keep the mask for 20-25 minutes..and blend in the excess serum later..coz it keeps deeply soaked in lots of essence..and nothing is to be used on the skin later..as it still gets absorbed into the skin..

Each mask is separately wrapped in plastic on the inside too..

Skin feels soft and smooth and completely hydrated..and the effect stays even the next day.

Pros:

1. Does what it claims..super hydrating.
2. Makes skin soft, smooth and supple.
3. This is like pampering your skin..and your skin would surely love it.
4. Skin feels brighter and the effect stays a day or two.
5. The Fruits Acid Complex and Acerola Fruit Extract are beneficial for the skin.

Cons:

1. Availability is an issue..only available online. You can buy it here
2. Expensive.
3. Has parabens.
4. Effect is short lived.

Overall I like such pampering sessions once a while..and on occasions..as the effect stays a say or two. If you have dry skin, you would love it all the more..recommend it for dry skin.

They have other masks too..for every skin type and problem..do check them out.

Lush Aqua Marina Cleanser Review

Lush Aqua Marina Cleanser Review

What the Company claims: Calming calamine wash
Do you remember putting calamine lotion on bug bites as a child? Aqua Marina was made with the same principle in mind; using the soothing pink extract to reduce redness and inflammation in sensitive skin. Those who have a tendency to react to citrus or strong herbal oils will find salvation in Aqua Marina’s gentle aloe vera and moisturizing nori seaweed. Especially cooling on sun burnt faces, Aqua Marina is perfect for normal to dry skin types.

This mineral rich cleanser is packed full of emollient ingredients to soften the skin and clay powders to deep clean and absorb grease. The texture is amazing, the smell is rich and comforting – but most of all it leaves your skin calm, smooth and renewed.

Features
Find relief from dry, itchy skin: Aqua Marina is cooling and soothing on irritated or sensitive faces.
A giant ‘sushi’ roll! It may look like it was pulled from the ocean, but that’s only because it’s wrapped in Nori seaweed!
Under the sea: Nori seaweed is packed with vitamins and nutrients for soft skin.

Ingredients: Glycerine, Calamine Powder, Kaolin, Irish Moss Infusion , Aloe Vera Gel , Sea Salt , Nori Seaweed , Sweet Orange Oil , Patchouli Oil , Carrageenan, Perfume

MRP: Rs. 585/- for 100g

How to use
Dampen your face with warm water. Place a pea-sized chunk in the palm of your hand and add water to create a paste. Apply to your face using small, circular motions. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. For rest results follow with the LUSH toner and moisturizer that best suit your skin type.

See how the Aqua Marina is made here..

It comes in a black tub..trademark Lush packaging for cleansers..as the Kaolin and calamine is the base..it has the pinkish hue..and the whole thing being wrapped around with Nori seaweed..you see the green seaweed in between..I love how it smells..I know some people have problem with the smell..but I totally love it..

You need just a pea sized amount..and instead of making a paste..I directly use it on my damp face..a little less messier..

Skin feels baby soft at an instant with this..continued usage also help in getting rid of tan and reducing any redness and evening out the skin.

Pros:

1. Does what it claims..soothes and calms skin.
2. All natural..as all Lush products.
3. Makes skin baby soft with immediate use and helps in getting rid of tan and redness with regular usage.
4. Lasts quiet long..I guess this 100g would easily last 2 months..coz only pea sized amount is needed..though I have heard results vary depending on more or less qty used per usage..to each his own..
5. Kaolin and Calamine are perfect for oily skinned and the Nori seaweed soothes sensitive skin…I am combination and it works well for me..so it would suit all skin types mostly..not dry skin..Angels on Bare Skin is more suited for them.

Cons:

1. Messy to use.
2. Does not remove makeup..its not a ‘cleanser’ type cleanser..if you get it.
3. Shelf life is less.
4. Not available everywhere..but Lush is available online these days..and too the freshest stock..you can buy them here on 365gorgeous and Urbantouch.

I am loving it..and also how baby soft it makes my skin..and immediately soothes it..though hate how messy it is..but I surely want to try more of Lush..Angels on Bare Skin being next..

I totally recommend this for oily- combination skin..or even sensitive skin. This is a must try.

MRP: Rs. 280/- for 100ml

It is available on Craftsvilla.com

Ingredients: Hibiscus Lobatus, Musk Root, Thyme Leaved Gratiola, Olive Oil, Almond Oil and Others..

Its an completely natural and herbal hand made oil..with 25 vital herbal ingredients which are good for hair like thistles, musk root, Hibiscus, Thyme with the blend of basic oils..though all the ingredients are not mentioned..

Its a thick yellow colored oil..with an weird herbal smell…I usually keep it overnight and wash it the next day..

I have definitely seen an improvement in the texture of my hair with this..and less dandruff too..now with the rainy season..I feel the dandruff problem would increase too..

The only problem with this is that the hair needs to be shampooed well and 2-3 times to get rid of that oil completely since its sticky…and also I am not a fan of the smell.

But with the amount of goodness in the ingredients and the way it works for the hair, I am ready to give up on the cons..

If you use ayurvedic oils or would like to try one..I did surely recommend this.

Shade Card:

MRP: Rs. 329/- for 4.2g

Though they mention matte, these are super creamy and glossy..and are super pigmented..and the staying power is nice too.

Proactively Pretty

The shade card mentions provocatively pretty but on the lippie the shade name goes Proactively Pretty..now I am confused…but whatever the name..the shade sure is a pretty one..its a deep rosy brown..would suit all skin tones..more so dusky skin tones.

Sinful Velvet

Sinful Velvet is a warm mauvey pink..it would suit to medium to fair skin tones more..

T-B: Proactively Pretty, Sinful Velvet

Here is it on me..

Provocatively Pretty
Sinful Velvet

Pros:

1. Super pigmented..the swatches were difficult to remove from my hand.
2. Stays for a good 4-5 hours and leaves a tint behind.
3. These are very very creamy..in fact I feel they easily melt or break if not handled well.
4. There are 12 shades to choose from and both in matte and frost finish..there are browns, pinks, mauves, rosy browns..a shade for everyone.
5. Has jojoba oil and Vitamin E.
6. Perfume free..if one is bothered by smell.
7. Feels very light on the lips.

Cons:

1. Availability is an issue. They are available online at Urbantouch, Good Life and Snapittoday.
2. I don’t know what the jelly texture as claimed means..but these are super creamy..and so soft that it broke while swatching..these I guess need to be stored in the fridge..and are not very travel friendly too.
3. The packaging..very poor and unattractive..plus not even sturdy..the bottom of Sinful Velvet is unattached and it does not swivel or come out..I have to roll the white plastic base of the lipstick inside for the product to come out :/
4. I think it should be priced below Rs. 300/- at this packaging..ya if they make the packaging prettier and fancier, then its justified.

Overall I like the quality, texture ,shades, pigmentation, staying power..only if these were sturdier and had better packaging, these would be awesome..

Essie Nail Polish Fiji, Mint Candy Apple- Review, NOTD

Essie Nail Polish in Fiji and Mint Candy Apple

Guest Post by Sophia

When you’re choosing an outfit, you think about choosing the right shoes, jewellery or handbag but even more so lately having the right nail polish colour is essential! Now I have a number of different nail polishes from a variety of brands, but there are still some which I have yet to add to my collection and up until recently it was Essie nail polish.

About the product: Go girly and get glam with Essie Nail Polish – Fiji. It’s a lightweight polish with high-powered shine that not only strengthens nails, but imparts long-lasting, intense color.

MRP: £7.99  for .5 fl oz

Key Ingredients: Nitrocellulose strengthens nails while providing flawless texture. Mica adds a gentle shine to finished nails.

How to use it: Apply one to two coats of polish to dry, clean nails. Follow with a top coat for longer wear.

L-R: Mint Candy Apple, Fiji

Full Ingredients: Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Propyl Acetate, Tosylamide/Formaldehyde Resin, Isopropyl Alcohol, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Tripheneyl Phosphate, Trimethyl Pentanyl Diisobutyrate, Ethyl Tosylamide, Stearalkonium Bentonite, Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer, Diacetone Alcohol, Camphor, Polyvinyl Butyral, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Benzophene-1, Citric Acid, Dimethicone, Silica, Trimethylsiloxysilicate

May Contain: CI 47005:1 (D&C Yellow #10), CI 47000 (D&C Yellow #11), CI 77163 (Bismuth Oxychloride), Mica CAS 12001-26-2, CI 19140 (Yellow 5 Lake), Polyethylene Terephthalate, CI 15850:1 (Red 7 Lake), CI 15850 (Red 6 Lake), CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 15880 (Red 34 Lake), CI 77491 (Red Iron), CI 77499 (Black Iron), CI 77510 (Ferric Ammonium Ferrocycyanide), CI 75170 (Guanine), CI 42090 (Blue 1 Lake), CI 60725 (Violet 2), CI 17200 (Red 33), CI 77000 (Aluminum Powder), CI 73360 (Red 30), CI 26100 (Red 17), CI 42053 (Green 3), CI 77288 (Chromium Oxide Green), CI 77007 (Ultramarines), CI 77266 (Black 2), Dibenzoxazoyl, Naphtalene

Fiji, Mint Candy Apple

I picked up ‘Mint Candy Apple’(I’m just crazy about mint colours) and ‘Fiji’(for a more neutral tone).  ‘Mint Candy Apple’ is a fresh, mint green with a slight bluish hue. It is a little reminiscent of candy in some ways because of its pastel shade so the name is quite fitting. ‘Fiji’ is a very pale pink, verging on white which although looks simple it elongates the nails, making the hand slimmer and longer.

First of all I really like the packaging! I love the neat cube like bottles, with Essie embossed on 2 opposite sides of glass. It’s has a delicate ‘e’ groove on top of the lid too.

The nail lacquer is of a medium consistency, not too thick and not too runny which is ideal in my opinion! The application is really smooth and the brush is wide enough to cover the surface area of the nail in a few strokes. The colour is quite sheer after the first coat, but a second coat really finishes it off and by then it’s perfectly opaque. The polish is quite long lasting and I found it stayed put on my nails for at least a week before I noticed any signs of chipping.

Essie nail polish is slightly pricier than drugstore favourites such as Rimmel or Barry M, at around £7.99 but I certainly think they’re worth the money! There’s a gorgeous selection of colours to choose from, bold shades, pastels, glitters and more – it’s hard not to buy them all!

Love Sophia xo

Editor’s Note: I am loving both Sophia…such pretty shades..and Mint Candy Apple is so summery and fresh..

• Made In Germany

MRP: 2.99$ for 1.2g or Rs.179/- here

Shades Available:

  • Luna Lav
  • Morning Coffee
  • Tired and Blue
  • Just Pearly
I am reviewing the shade Just Pearly..and I think this would help all of you who are in search of a good nude eye liner for the waterline ! Coz my search ends here..read on..

Jordana Color Xtend eye liners are normal sharpenable pencils..it has a matching shade cap and lower bottom..they are super creamy and glide on smoothly..no tugging no pulling..but once set, they won’t budge !
Just Pearly is a pale peachy pink nude with a slight metallic sheen..but it looks almost nudish on the waterline..brightens my eyes instantly..

After smudging
This works on the inner corners, as a highlight under the brow bone and also on the cupid’s bow..and the best thing about this is the staying power..it stays put the whole day untill you remove this with a good cleanser..I used my NYX Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt many a times as a highlight…but then it was so creamy that it did not stay long.

Sorry I did not have a pic of wearing it..would add one..

Pros:
1. Super creamy…glides on like butter.
2. Easy to sharpen..no wastage..
3. Stays put the whole day without any smudging.
4. Did not sting even when used on waterline.
5. Highlights and opens up the eyes..works on the inner corners, under the brow bone..multi purpose.
6. Economical.
7. Shade Matching cap and bottom..easy to recognise.
Cons:
1. On the official website of Jordana they have it in only one shade i.e black called Black Out..and as far as I have read..everyone is saying its discontinued and are not able to find it 🙁
2. Its not available everywhere..I got mine from Healthkart here. But the only point is if its discontinued..then I hope Healthkart is not stocking the old batch :/
3. One has to be careful that it does not get over on the lashes..
Overall I have no other cons with this..I totally love this. Its so multi purpose..and finally my perfect nude liner for waterline search has ended…and with such an awesome eye pencil..I am happy 🙂 Highly recommended.

Vega Eye Smudger and Reversible Lip Filler Review

Vega Eye Smudger and Reversible Lip Filler Review

Vega Eye Smudger EV 22

What the Company claims: To create soft liner color for a smoky effect. Start with powder cake liner or pencil and follow with this firm PVC foam eraser like tip to smudge off excess to create the smoky look desired. Professional size. Sponge Tip.

MRP: Rs. 60/-

They also have an Eye Smudger in the Professional Range PB-18 but I have not seen that online available…otherwise would have picked up that..

But since I have used this..lets talk about this first…it has a foam like tip..not the soft spongy tips which we get with the normal eye shadow quads which powder up in few uses..this is stiff and softens the harsh liner..I use this almost everyday for the smokey eye effect..just some dark rich black eye pencil like the Bourjois Kohl and Contour on the upper lashline and smoke it out with this..and I am good to go. And also for smudging the base for smokey eyes..

This is like so perfect for smokey eyes..quite similar to the Body Shop Line Softener..which obviously is much better..that costs Rs. 325/-

I suggest one can get this and try out smokey eyes with this..and then get the Body Shop Line Softener..as of now I am really loving it..! Economical, easy to use and easy to maintain..totally recommended.

Vega Reversible Lip Filler PV 23

What the Company claims: Vega Lip Filler is an ideal accompaniment to lipstick and lip color. It is perfect for detailing along the lips and applying the color evenly and consistently. It is an ideal product to carry in the purse.

MRP: Rs. 160/-

Well we do need a lip filler when using some deep darker shades like reds, plums, etc..I use this mostly with my Inglot Freedom System Lipsticks.

This is so small and convenient to carry along..and reverse the brush into the cap and its almost the size of a finger..

I have washed it many times..and it has just shed 1-2 hair..I find it super easy to use Inglot lipsticks or some red lipstick with this..as I can also control the intensity of the shade by layering.

If you have Inglot Freedom System Lipsticks, I recommend you give this a try…ya the only con is it does not fit in the Inglot Palette 🙁

Overall I like both of these and surely recommend them..you can buy the Body Shop Line Softener instead of the Eye Smudger..but if you wish to try a cheaper alternative..this is it..

MRP: Rs. 200/- for 100ml

The mist is named valley of flowers..and the blend of essential oils..does make it one too..it comes in a spray bottle with a plastic cap..the cap is a little loose..

I usually use it after I come back from outside following cleansing the face..or just as it is..1-2 times a day..it absorbs pretty fast. And skin feels cooling and soft..I also use it at night time and skin is pretty soft and plumped the next day..

Pros:

1. Love the exotic essential oils and blend of ingredients..this is the most amazing ingredient list I have seen till now..it has most of the vital essential oils good for the skin.
2. Skin feels soothing and cooling..its a good after sun care.
3. Absorbs fast..and since it is hydrating but not greasy..it would suit all skin types..but not sensitive..coz sensitive skin might react to some essential oil present in it.
4. Skin is soft, smooth and plump the next morning whenever I use it at night.
5. If you like making or using a blend of essential oil but do not want to purchase so many different oils, this is a ready perfect blend.
6. No parabens, chemicals, colors or SLS and not tested on animals.
7. Reasonably priced.

Cons:

1. Has Phenoxyethanol 🙁
2. The cap is loose..and so its not travel friendly.
3. Keep it away from eyes..in case you even spray it anywhere around eyes..it stings horribly !
4. It might not suit sensitive skin..or if you are allergic to some essential oil in it.
5. Only available online..but its available on most of the sites. Medplusbeauty offers it at Rs. 150/-.

Overall I love the cooling, soothing and calming effect..and the blend of all my essential oils..skin is soft and smooth the next morning after I use it. Surely recommend trying it..
