MRP: Rs. 295/- for 100ml

It comes in a long slender plastic bottle..with a nozzle opening and a plastic cap…since it has honey, turmeric, etc..its yellowish in color with a brown tinge..it has small exfoliating brown granules..probably the jojoba meal and arjuna bark as mentioned..has an ayurvedic smell too..a mix of honey and herbs kinda..

Its a very light, gentle cleanser..does not foam much..good for everyday cleansing..and exfoliates a little too..

Pros:

1. I love the ingredients and that each has its own properties..being antiseptic, exfoliating and dissolves dead skin cells.
2. No parabens or SLS or any harmful chemicals..this can be used without any fear of harmful chemicals..as it is completely natural.
3. Gentle cleansing..it does not strip the skin of oils..and leave it supple and soft.
4. No animal testing.
5. Certified Ayurvedic.
6. Though its priced high…its good enough to be priced that way..and 100 ml is a good quantity.

Cons:

1. Packaging is a little inconvenient. The product does not come out many a times..and the beads are hardly there..so I have to open the dispensor every time to remove the product..I guess a pump dispensor would have been better.
2. It does not foam much..so those who are into deep cleansing or love foaming face washes..this one is not for you.
3. Availability is an issue with Just Herbs..it can be found on UrbanTouch and Natural Mantra.

Overall I quite like it..its very gentle on skin..and refreshing too..you do not have dry stretchy skin after washing..as with other face washes..its very mild..and also gently exfoliates at the same time…and completely natural !

It comes in a round flat white tub..it has a silver seal inside..I liked the fact that the whole tub was filled to the brim..and it was not half empty inside..like a few brands do..

Has a fruity smell..and is quite emollient..so perfect as a massage cream..as the hands do glide on well.

Do not expect any change in your skin..its just a normal massage cream..which would help you with your facials.

 Pros:

1. Quite emollient and glides on well during massaging skin.
2. A lot of quantity.
3. Very economical.
4. Has a nice fruity smell.
5. Has extracts of apple, apricot and aloe vera powder, almond oil, jojoba oil

Cons:

1. Has silicones and parabens.
2. It has mineral oil..so if you are allergic to it..better avoid.
3. There would not be any change in your skin..its just a massage cream.

Overall its a decent massage cream..and those who are into facials..can surely give this a try. I would recommend this if you like going for facials..or do your facial at home.

Raw Gaia MSM Beauty Spray Review

Raw Gaia MSM Beauty Spray Review

What the Company claims:  A unique moisturiser with outstanding skin regeneration properties and a heavenly aroma. Made with precious cold-pressed oils, organic floral waters & MSM, without the use of any preservatives or alcohol.

Each of the ingredients has powerful skin regeneration properties which help to nourish deeply, repair damaged & scarred tissue and give an unmistakable glow to your skin.

Ingredients: MSM Beauty cream is made with:

MSM: A nutritional form of sulphur. Adequate levels of sulphur help to promote a radiant complexion, glowing skin and mineralised hair. Sulphur is often referred to as “The beauty mineral”.

Cold-pressed, wild crafted argan oil: Argan oil is rich in vitamin E and plays a vital role in skin de-aging and wrinkle repair. Rich in essential fatty acids, it helps to revitalize and nourish the skin and is of vital importance for cell structure renewal. It is recommended for acne, stretch and chicken pox marks and certain skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Cold-pressed, organic rosehip oil: Sun exposure, environmental stresses, lifestyle and injury can all result in damage and unnecessary premature aging of the skin. Rosehip oil is the perfect antidote. This unique oil is a powerhouse of nutrients and essential fatty acids that play a vital role in the regeneration process of our skin cells and the repair of damaged tissues. Rosehip oil is a fine oil that absorbs instantly, allowing the skin to breathe, helping to reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines and pigmentation and restoring the skin’s moisture balance.

Wild crafted frankincense essential oil & floral water: Both are excellent conditioners for the skin. Frankincense is perfect for mature skin and it can improve skin structure and texture as it encourages the growth of new skin cells.

Ingredients:

MRP: £19.99 for 50ml

Suitable for all skin types

Sold in a bottle with spray atomizer

It also comes in a cream form…which is more rich and meant for dry skin..

Whats the difference between the two ?

The MSM Beauty cream and the MSM Beauty spray are basically the same. The only difference is that the cream is made from a base of cacao butter and the spray is obviously a spray and not a cream which contains no cacao butter but has argan oil and is a lot lighter than the cream.

I would make your decision based on how dry your skin is and if it is particularly dry then  the MSM Beauty cream is recommended.

Please note: During pregnancy, it is extremely important to be cautious about what you eat and put on your body. It is best to err on the side of caution and we therefore recommend avoiding all products containing essential oils during the first three months.

Ok first of all…I loved the spray bottle packaging..it is super convenient to use..and the blend of essential oils give it a very pleasant light aroma..it comes in a dark blue tinted glass bottle..as it has a blend of essential oils..and has a spray atomiser on top and a plastic cap.

I expected it to be a little lotion like…but this is completely a runny liquid..like water..and looks more like a toner..than a moisturiser..I would say its ideal for very oily skin or oily skin and summers..where we do not like the thick greasy moisturisers..but if your skin is such that it requires more moisturisation..I would suggest trying the MSM Beauty Cream and not the Spray..

Pros:

1. Love the blend of essential oils and Ingredients..
2. Though it has quite a good amount of different essential oils, it feels super light on the skin.
3. Gives a completely matte finish.
4. Love the light aroma.
5. MSM is very good to reduce or stop break outs..so it never broke me out..and those who have acne prone skin can give this a try..if it helps in reducing their acne.
6. The spray bottle packaging is very convenient..though its a glass bottle and one has to be careful with it.

Cons:

1. I did not see any much of a difference on my skin using this.
2. Expensive.
3. It takes a little time to absorb completely..since its in water form.
4. Not available here. Though they ship worldwide..you can buy it here

Overall its a nice moisturiser..especially for oily or sensitive skin or for people who suffer from redness..I liked the ingredients it has..but I did not see any much of a difference on my skin..may be it helps acne prone or sensitive skin more..but I would definitely suggest giving it a try..especially the MSM Beauty Cream for people having dry skin..if you have papery or parched skin..the MSM Beauty Cream would surely help.

Ice Breakers Bubble Gum Lip Balm Review

Ice Breakers Bubble Gum Lip Balm Review

Enfresh Ice Breakers Lip Balm come in a variety of flavors..but they are all plain untinted lip balms..the flavors are of the scent..like Peach, Bubble Gum, Mint, Strawberry,etc..

Ice Breakers is a big name for lip balms abroad…mostly I guess in the Middle East..They have a range of Sours Lip Balm, Ice Cubes Bubble Gums, etc

MRP: Around 3-4$

My friend got it from Dubai..so I am not aware..

I loved the outer carton and the packaging of these..its a round ice cream tub like packaging..and I initially thought that again one of those..dip hands inside tub..but this thing rotates like a normal chapstick…so do not be confused by the round tub packaging..the whole tub swivels and it can be easily used on the lips..like a normal chapstick.

It has SPF 15..so another added advantage is sun protection for lips..even though its  like a thick chapstick in texture..its not waxy or greasy at all..glides on smoothly on the lips..and it heals chapped lips too apart from keeping them moisturised !

I use it overnight and my lips are completely healed the next morning..I keep it on the side table near my bed..

Plus I totally love the bubble gum smell..its not sweet or over powering…I used it whole winters..and now its almost over..and I want it again 🙁 Why is it not available here 🙁

Availability is an only issue with this..I would have got all the flavors if it was available here..if you go to Dubai or Middle East or find this anywhere else…I totally recommend getting these..

Have you tried the Ice Breakers Lip Balm ?

This busy ingenue developed Shadow Shields to help save time and mess!

“Whether it was trying to get myself ready with twin boys running around, or making sure that my client was on time, I knew that I had to create something that would help every woman, every makeup artist save that extra 10-15 minutes it was taking to touch up the mess of eyeshadow fallout!,” says Villanueva.

How to use:

Step 1: Remove top corners of backing and apply shield below the eye.

Step 2: Apply eye makeup.

Step 3: When finished, gently remove shields and dispose.

Step 4: Say bye-bye to messy “raccoon eyes!”

See the video demo..

Helpful Tips
Remove only top corners to apply. If more adhesion is needed, remove entire top strip.
Application of shield doesn’t have to be directly on lash line- it can be applied under the bulge of the eye or wherever most comfortable.
When applying shield, allow backing to crease-it will form a small lip, helping to catch the fallout!

Its a semi circular moon shaped thick paper..which stays put straight..there is adhesive on the strip which is to be removed..you can either remove just the sides..or if it does not stay..the whole strip..it does not hurt, tug or pull the skin at all…applies easily and comes off easily..

And this is super perfect with glittery or shimmery or metallic finish eye shadows..there is always some fall out on the cheeks or the sides of the face below the eyes..this catches all the fall out..and the skin remains clean..plus it is easier to use a mascara too..with this..

A single pack has 30 stripes..and a single strip can be used quite a few times..

I totally recommend it if you like smokey eyes and are a fan of pigments or shimmery eye shadows..but the shimmer fall out gets stuck on the face and makes you look like a disco ball !! This would make your job quite easy..

Here is a chance for you to win it..I am giving away one box of Shadow Shields to one of you..just fill in the widget, follow the instructions, comment and be in..

Illamasqua Eye Shadows Review, Swatches

Illamasqua Eye Shadows Burst, Sex Review, Swatches

I had mentioned about the Illamasqua Human Fundamentalism Collection here. Burst and Sex Eye Shadows are a part of the Human Fundamentalism Collection.

What the Company claims: Each of these glorious colours makes a statement that is as individual as you are. Highly pigmented, prepare for an intensity that’s not just colour-true but extremely long-lasting. Experiment and be bold.

NET WT. 2g 0.07 OZ.

MRP: £15.50

Artist’s Tip: Use a long bristle brush for blending and a shorter bristle brush for precise colour placement. Mix Powder Eye Shadow with Sealing Gel for colour-intensification, and apply with an Angled Eye Liner Brush for unlimited eye liner opportunities. They can also double up as blushers or contours, whilst shimmer textures can be used as a highlighter on the eyes, face and body.

Ingredients: TALC, DIMETHYLIMIDAZOLIDINONE RICE STARCH, MICA, AQUA (WATER), PROPYLENE GLYCOL, MAGNESIUM MYRISTATE, OCTYLDODECANOL, ISOPROPYL MYRISTATE, GLYCERYL STEARATE, PEG-150, PHENOXYETHANOL, RICINUS COMMUNIS OIL (RICINUS COMMUNIS (CASTOR) SEED OIL),CETEARYL ALCOHOL, QUATERNIUM-26, SILICA, METHYLPARABEN, GLYCERYL RICINOLEATE, CERA CARNAUBA (COPERNICIA CERIFERA (CARNAUBA) WAX), CANDELILLA CERA (EUPHORBIA CERIFERA (CANDELILLA) WAX), ETHYLPARABEN, SODIUM CETEARYL SULFATE, STEARIC ACID, CERA MICROCRISTALLINA (MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX), PROPYLPARABEN, TETRAHYDROXYPROPYL ETHYLENEDIAMINE, PARAFFINUM LIQUIDU (MINERAL OIL), CETYL ALCOHOL, CERA ALBA (BEESWAX), PARFUM (FRAGRANCE) AND MAY CONTAIN: [+/- TITANIUM DIOXIDE CI 77891, IRON OXIDES CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499, CARMINE CI 75470, ULTRAMARINES CI 77007, YELLOW 5 LAKE CI 19140, BLUE 1 LAKE CI 42090, BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE CI 77163, MANGANESE VIOLET CI 77742, FERRIC FERROCYANIDE CI 77510, RED 40 LAKE CI 16035, CHROMIUM OXIDE GREENS CI 77288, CHROMIUM HYDROXIDE GREEN CI 77289] (EU EXCLUSIVE SHADES MAY CONTAIN: CI 12085, CI 15850, CI 45380, CI 15985, CI 73015, CI 45410, CI 77266) MAY CONTAIN CARMINE AS A COLOUR ADDITIVE. STOP USE IF IRRITATION OCCURS.

Other shades from this collection:

  • Cancan (Lilac Purple)
  • Pivot (Yellow Green)
  • Vernau (Yellow Ochre)
  • Obsidian (Rich Black)

They come in a trademark Illamasqua square black packaging..they do not come with a mirror or brush.

Burst is described as Blue Green and Sex as Pure White, Matte Finish.

They are quite smooth and well formed in texture..and not powdery…but they work well when patted..though they blend nicely..blending has to be done carefully and slowly.

Burst is definitely more pigmented and quite rich..I love this bluish green shade..kinda teal..the photos do not do justice to it..they are catching only the blue color..the greenish hue is not evident in pictures. And Sex is a plain white matte..good for highlight and inner corners especially when you use shimmery eye shadows…this also works nice as a base for soft colors to show up.

The swatches are just 2 swipes..these are quite pigmented..and stay well without creasing or fading…especially Burst.. its super pigmented.

Pros:

1. Very pigmented.
2. Smooth and well formed texture.
3. Stays put the whole day.
4. I like the black square packaging it has.
5. 2g would last really long.
6. Does not crease or fade.
7. Can be used as an eyeliner too..the Burst shade would look pretty good.

Cons:

1. Availability is an issue..though Illamasqua has sales every now and then..and also has Free Shipping offers often.
2. Expensive.
3. Blending has to be done carefully.

Overall I quite like them..the texture and pigmentation is pretty good..especially of the darker shades. I would totally recommend Illamasqua Eye Shadows..but since they are a little expensive..I guess it should be bought together when there is an offer going on..

It comes in a small sleek cardboard packaging with a elastic band to cover up and hold it in place. It has a small brush with it which is quite soft..good for emergencies…but not for everyday use..

Indoors

Sunlight

Cool Winter is a peachy bronze shade which has gold specks in it. It would look fab on all skin tones as it imparts a nice glow to the cheeks..would suit medium to fair more..as it would show up on them..for dusky skin tones..it would just give a hint of glow.

Jordana Blush in Sunlit Bronze is a little similar..but Sunlit Bronze has a hint of warm pink too…where this is more of peachy coppery brown.

Its rightly named Cool Winter as it would bring color to the pale skin in winters..it would also work as a bronzer for some skin tones..

Pros:

1. Natural everyday shade.
2. The gold specks also work as highlighter.
3. This shade would also work as a bronzer.
4. Recyclable cardboard packaging.
5. The brush is soft and decent enough.
6. This shade would suit all skin tones.
7. Pigmented enough and does not look OTT.
8. Stays for a good 5-6 hours.

Cons:

1. Expensive.
2. Not available here.
3. Only 2 shades available.

Overall I do love the shade..it brings warmth to the skin..and never look OTT..even if you are a beginner you would not go wrong with this..totally recommend.

The Nature’s Co. Chocolate Mint Lip Balm Review

The Nature’s Co. Chocolate Mint Lip Balm Review

What the Company claims: Chocolate & Mint Lip Balm

Moisturizing, softening, soothing, and cooling.

Net Wt: 10 ml (0.3 fl.oz)
MRP: Rs. 225.00

Ingredients:

Chocolate & Mint Lip Balm is a part of the Earthborne Range of the Nature’s Co. It comes in the trademark Nature’s Co. square packaging with an inverted top which closes opposite way.

This smells exactly like toffee ! I love the smell..quite unlike its fellow Body Butter..which did not please my nose..

But its a little hard in texture..and does not come out easily..and being in a tub..you need to dig in the fingers..which I do not much like..though it softened in summers..its not so emollient as a lip balm should be..

It comes out transparent…I do not find it very moisturising though..it would keep lips soft..but it cannot heal chapped lips..

Pros:

1. Love the toffee smell.
2. I like the packaging..though it occupies more space coz of the shape.
3. Keeps lips soft.
4. I liked the ingredients..shea butter, mango butter,etc
5. Economically priced for 10ml.

Cons:

1. Its a little hard in texture and does not come out easily…more so in winters.
2. Does not heal chapped lips.
3. Tub packaging.

Overall its like a normal lip balm..if you love the toffee smell..you can try it at the stores..I would have preferred it to be more moisturising and if it would have helped in healing chapped lips too. If you looking for something more healing..then I would not recommend this..
