Faces Glam On Mono Eye shadow is a part of the new Glam On Range..there are other 4-5 shades too in this mono form.

I quite liked the small cute packaging..and the click open button..but it does not come with a mirror or brush.

Oceanic is a khaki sea green with a metallic finish.

Pros:

1. Small handy packaging.
2. Pigmented enough.
3. Satin finish and does not have fall out.
4. Pink Sequin and Pure Gold are pretty shades too..good for Indian wear.
5. Works well for the lower lash line too…I like using it more that way.
6. Does not crease.
7. Would last long…its bigger in size than the normal eye shadows.

Cons:

1. Staying power is ok..stays for 3-4 hours without a base and 5-6 hours with a base.
2. I think it should have been priced around Rs. 175/- or 200/-

Overall its a decent eye shadow..you can try a particular shade if you were looking for it and find it in this range.

Essential shades- to illuminate and sculpt the eyes: 01,02,03,09,10
Dramatic shades- to intensify the eyes: 04,05,06,07,08

Bourjois Intense Extrait Eye Shadows are small round baked eye shadows..though the quantity is 1g..we can see that the product would last forever. These have a small round cute packaging and come with a mirror inside..the cap is magnetic click through and very easy to open or close.

These are quite pigmented ! One swipe would give you the desired color without any base and these last the whole day without any creasing..they just fade a little by the end of the day which is obvious..but the staying power is commendable..and with a base..they stay more intense.
07 appears as a khaki grey with golden flecks in the pot..but comes up as a bluish grey when swatched on hand..and the shade is much more intense when used wet. The best part about these eye shadows is that they can be used both wet and dry and even as an eye liner..and the part where you dip a wet brush does not change in texture as in some of the baked eye shadows.
I am so in love with this shade..I love doing smokey eyes with this..not too intense for everyday as black and yet smokey and perfect !
T-Dry B-Wet

Here are the swatches..dry and wet without any base..the color is more intense with an eye shadow base..

T-Dry B-Wet

Pros:

1. Love how pigmented these are !
2. The texture is so smooth..not chalky like.
3. Stays put the whole day without creasing.
4. All the shades have some shimmer..but the darker shades do not have fall out…the lighter ones like 02,03 which have silver shimmer may have a little fall out problem.
5. Hypoallergenic and paraben and fragrance free.
6. Can be used both wet and dry..the color comes out quite intense when wet.
7. The area where a wet brush is dipped does not change in texture as in most of the eye shadows.
8. Though the quantity is 1g, it would last a lifetime.
9. Since its a baked formula, it would have a longer shelf life.
10. These are small and handy..can be easily carried around and come with a mirror too..but they do not have a brush along.
11. I loved all the 10 shades in this range ! The colors are quiet wearable and nice.

Cons:

1. I feel these should have been priced around Rs. 350/-
2. Some lighter shades would silver shimmer might have a fall out problem.

Other than that I don’t think I found any cons..these are damn nice and definitely a must have..and if you love smokey eyes..04,05,06,07,09,10 are surely worth checking out !

Bourjois Ombre Stretch Eye Shadows cost Rs. 525/- and these I guess are much better texture and pigmentation wise.

Copa Cabbana Pomelo with Aloe Vera and Vitamin C Face Mask Review

Copa Cabbana Pomelo with Aloe Vera and Vitamin C Face Mask Review

What the Company claims: Paraben and Sulfate free

Clay face masks are extremely beneficial for your skin. Adding this to your skin care routine is a great way to have a problem free skin. Clay is a natural absorbent and helps remove the toxins, excess oils and dirt out of your skin pores, leaving it clean and soft. It is also a best solution for acne prone skin.

Pomelo, avocado, cucumber, aloe vera gel and white orchids legendary skin toning properties encourages older acting skin to renew its appearance. Vitamin C is well known as an anti-oxidant. This helps to deeply cleanse and refresh your skin giving a healthy looking glow.

Key Ingredients

• Pomelo
• Aloe Vera
• Vitamin C & E
• Avocado Oil

MRP: HK$150.00 for 150g (Approx Rs. 990/-)

Pomelo also known as Citrus Decumana is a South Asian fruit..little similar to grapefruit and has extremely high content of Vitamin C.

Source

It comes in jar packaging with a normal steel cap.

Its an off white colored thick clay mask…clay content would be quiet high as its very thick..and has a very strong Vitamin C smell..which spreads around immediately on opening it.

Its important to moist the face before using it..as it would not spread otherwise. And it dries super quickly too..I generally keep it for 10-15 minutes though. It helps deep cleanse the skin and skin does feel fresh and invigorating.

Pros:

1. High clay content..it does absorb oil and keeps skin oil free for some time…good for oily and acne prone skin.
2. There are very few masks having Vitamin C as their main content..the skin generally does not get enough Vitamin C..this would help.
3. Dries very fast..so much time is not required.
4. Has Key Ingredients as Pomelo, Avocado Oil, Vitamin C and E and Aloe Vera..all good for the skin.
5. It claims to help remove toxins and dirt and deeply cleanse and refresh the skin…it does that !
6. Paraben and sulfate free.

Cons:

1. Comes in a tub packaging..not hygienic.
2. It does not bring any drastic change to the skin and the effect is temporary.
3. Expensive. 150g is too much quantity..they should sell in smaller packs and at a lesser cost.
4. Not available here.

Overall  I do like it but it would not bring any major change to your skin..a decent mask which would help deep cleanse and refresh skin.

Rating:

Quality: 3.5/5

Would I buy it again: I do not need clay masks much..so I don’t think so.

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Vita Oil Serum Review

Dove Nourishing Oil Care Vita Oil Serum Review

What the Company claims: Hair that appears dry and dull on the outside are actually damaged from inside. To combat this dryness of hair, Dove Nourishing Oil Care Vita Oil Serum gives instant nourishment to your hair.

It has revolutionary Vita-Oils that get easily absorbed to replenish essential oils. This instant nourishment smoothens up to 99% of roughness leaving your hair softer, shinier and more importantly damage free.

Directions:

Ingredients:

MRP: Rs. 300/- for 40ml

After reviewing the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Shampoo, Conditioner and Mask..the Serum was the last one left for review..I quite loved those three things…and the range in general..how did this fare for me..well read on..

I liked the cylindrical packaging of this with the oval cap..and this is quite thick and sturdy..not one which would break or get cracks on falling. The pump dispensor pumps out the right quantity and does not ooze out too much.

Now this claims to smoothen out 99% of roughness..or give nourishment to the hair…since its a serum…I do not expect it to give nourishment..since we use serums to make our hair appear better and for a fact I do not think serums can give nourishment to the hair.

Though it contains oils..its not very oily and sticky..has a normal serum texture..it has this particular Dove smell..which I quiet like.

But it does make the hair shinier and smoother with less frizz..rainy season and winters make hair very frizzy..and the dryness and frizziness increases in winters especially..so yes this is something perfect for the season..and as it contains vital oils..it does help smooth out the dryness in hair.

Pros:

1. Does make hair shinier and smoother.
2. Controls frizz to a great extent.
3. The packaging is quite nice and sturdy enough.
4. Travel friendly.
5. The blend of vita oils helps reduce dryness in hair.
6. You need just 1-2 pumps…would last long.
7. Like the trademark Dove smell.

Cons:

1. I do not think it can nourish hair as claimed.
2. A little expensive compared to other serums.
3. If used too much..hair can feel weighed down and oily the next day.
4. Contains silicones…which with regular use can lead to product build up.

Overall I do like it..to control the dryness and frizz of hair..and the shinier, smoother effect it gives..would recommend trying it..and in the qty that best suits your hair..

myface Blingtone Eye Shadows Review,Swatches

myface.cosmetics Blingtone Eye Shadows Review,Swatches

What the Company claims:

Raspberry Sorbet: She always stood out in a crowd without ever even trying. You’d think that she put a lot of time and effort into her look, but that simply wasn’t the case. She just knew that the magic was in the details, the little touches that made a big difference. Which is why she loved ‘ raspberry beret’ on her eyes; a subtle burst of rich, icy colour that demanded to be noticed and refused to be overlooked.

Purple Haze: After meeting her once, he was charmed…he was taken in by everything about her…but above all, it was impossible for him to forget her eyes – a rich layer of pearl over a delicate wash of sugary purple that was shimmery, sparkling and simply spell-binding.

Available in 15 shades

MRP: £ 9.99

myface.cosmetics is quite popular and widely available in UK and US..blingtone eye shadows and matching blingtone nail chromes are their latest launch and the thing which has become quiet a hit with everyone !

They come in this transparent flip cap packaging..I found it quiet cute..though it does not come with a brush or mirror.

These blingtone eye shadows though shimmery do not have a fall out problem as they are claimed to be made from crushed pearl and pigments. They do not crease and their staying power is quiet good too..the colors are quiet intense..even without a base.

Raspberry Beret is a baby pink with silver reflects and a frost finish..Purple Haze is a lilac purple with silver reflects.

T-Purple Haze B- Raspberry Beret

Pros:

1. Love the silky texture of the shadows.
2. Blingy and shimmery..perfect night time shadows.
3. Though these are shimmery there is no fall out.
4. Do not crease.
5. Staying power is quiet good.
6. Decently pigmented even without a base.
7. Can be used both wet and dry.
8. These are quiet big in size compared to other shadows..so would last forever.
9. Have a shelf life of 36 months.

Cons:

1. These are little expensive for a single shadow.
2. Since these are shimmery..they would look a little OTT during day time…so the use is restricted to night time.
3. Not available here.

Overall I quiet love the texture and effect..and also the staying power..these are quiet good. I quiet liked the shades Black Ice, Spicey and Morrocco too.

They have a New Year offer going on till 31st January 2012 where you get a blingtone Pink Champagne eye shadow free with any £15 purchase.

Deborah Milano 24 Ore Perfect Foundation Review,Swatches

Deborah Milano 24 Ore Perfect Foundation 03 Caramel Beige Review, Swatches

What the Company claims: Foundation with a silky texture for a sheer, velvety smooth finish. Formulated with Power Stay Complex for amazingly long wear without touch-ups. Beats shine without creating a masky effect. Suitable for all skin types. SPF 10. Hypoallergenic.*

 Available in 5 shades :

MRP: Rs. 650/- for 30ml

It comes in a small glass bottle with a black pump dispensor..and a transparent black cap. The pump dispenses the exact amount on pressure and there is no wastage at all..I quite liked the pump..and the cap fits in tightly too..so there is no risk..but just that the bottle is glass..so has to be handled properly.

03 Caramel Beige is a medium shade with yellow undertones..01 leans more to pink undertones and 05 more to yellow and orange undertones. Though it has yellow undertones..it blends perfectly with the skin without any yellow tones showing up.

It has a slight fruity fragrance which goes away in a few seconds..and it blends in a jiffy…giving medium to high coverage..it does give a smooth finish to the skin..hides imperfections and evens out the skin tone..you can even skip a concealer if you do not have any marks or scars to hide.

After Blending

Pros:

1. Does what it claims. Gives a smooth finish to the skin.
2. Medium to high coverage.
3. Since this is not oil based..it would suit both oily and dry skinned.
4. Stays put the whole day.
5. Minimizes the appearance of pores.
6. Available in 5 shades..and since it has yellow undertones..it would suit our warmer skin tones well.
7. Blends well and quickly.
8. Has SPF 10.
9. Photographs well too..does not give a whitish cast.
10. Gives a dewy finish to the skin.
11. Reasonably priced.

Cons:

1. You need to touch up with powder after a few hours..as there might be some shine..especially on the T zone.
2. Has silicones which gives the smooth finish…might not suit a few people.

Overall I quite liked its feel..and its well priced too..and the yellow undertones match our skin tones too. I think this should be given a try.

  • 15- Gold Rum
  • 16- Mocha
  • 18- Pink Chocolate

Ingredients:

It comes in a black case packaging with a transparent bottom..where the actual shade of the lipstick can be seen. I loved the fact that the majority of the shades are from the pink family. The case is quite sturdy and nice..

The lipsticks are super creamy and pigmented..these have to be handled with care and stored in a cool place in summers if you live in a place with hot climate as these would tend to melt..these are so pigmented that you need just a swipe of color to cover the lips..and the staying power is amazing too..I am quite surprised by these..as they score well in all departments..texture, creaminess, pigmentation, staying power..
04 First Lady is a bright carrot pink shade..now I was expecting it to be a lighter shade of pink but it is quite bright..I am wondering how much bright the other shades like Neon Dahilia and Ultra Pink would be 😀 Though the shade in one swipe can be an everyday shade for me..it does light up the whole face in 2 swipes or more..I quite love the shade and how it brightens up the face..and this shade is so versatile that it would look good on all complexions..whether you are fair or medium or dusky..you cannot go wrong with this shade.
Here it is on me..

Pros:

1. I love the texture..these are super creamy.
2. Quite liked the black sturdy packaging with the color of the shade at the bottom.
3. Very pigmented.
4. Most of the shades are from the pink family..there is one pink for each one of you..of your choice..if you trying to find some particular shade of pink..you should check out this range.
5. This shade instantly brightens up the face.
6. The staying power is amazing. It stays for a good 4-5 hours and leaves a pretty pink tint behind.
7. This shade would suit all skin tones.

Cons:

1. To be stored well..especially in summers.
2. Faces is not available everywhere and though its available online..sometimes it is important to check out the swatches on our own.
3. The names do not match the shades..Fiery Orange is actually a pink shade and French Rose is an orange.

No other cons with this..I surely recommend this shade to everyone and you would not go wrong with this shade. The range is worth checking out for bright shades..especially pinks.

It has this dark blue packaging with a black dipper cap. The dipper helps you get the exact quantity..i.e 2-3 drops of it. I quite liked the packaging..the only thing is since its glass it needs to be handled with care..though the glass is quite thick to break just like that.

The main ingredient being evening primrose oil and lavender oil..it has a wonderful smell..which even helps you sleep better..you just need 2-3 drops of it..and so it lasts real real long.

I am using it from the last 3 weeks and its still almost full. I love the lavender smell..its quite soothing. It does make the skin appear healthier and plumper the next day. No other cons as such..I would surely recommend it..in fact it has been recommended by 93% of people on their site too. I would suggest you to try this..especially if you are a bride to be. And I found it much better than the Lancome Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate which is priced almost double and did not do anything for my skin at all.

Would I buy it again: Yes..I love its effect on skin..and a little luxury is what our skin needs at times..

I had reviewed the Maybelline Watershine Gloss in Naked Brown here. Today I am reviewing the shade Beige Sensation and would compare the both.

Naked Brown is 521 and Beige Sensation is 520…both are numbered in line and sound like nice neutral shades too.

Naked Brown is a nude brown matte shade..with slight pink undertones but more veering towards brown where as Beige Sensation is a nude pink with some silver shimmer.

T-B: Beige Sensation, Naked Brown

Beige Sensation stays longer than Naked Brown on lips..so the only con is gone too..I am so loving it..I loved Naked Brown and now loving Beige Sensation too.
