Illamasqua Powder Blusher Ambition Swatches

Illamasqua Powder Blusher Ambition

Illamasqua Theatre of the Nameless Collection had two blushes..one Morale and the other Ambition..I have reviewed Morale here

Illamasqua Powder Blusher Ambition

Morale is a rosy pink color..more on the darker side..where as Ambition is a light neutral peachy pink. Both have fine shimmer in it..but does not look too shimmery or OTT when applied.

T- Unblended B- Blended

Its a nice everyday kinda shade…and I guess this shade is pretty universal and would suit all skin tones. The slight shimmer gives a nice glowing effect. I love this shade.

P.S: Product sent by brand for review but it has not affected my opinion.

MRP: Rs. 250/- for 3ml

This is the easiest eyeliner to use surely..for anyone..from an expert to a newbie..you would find using this a breeze..

Its jet dark black and glossy..though the glossiness reduces after drying..it stays quiet well..lasts almost the whole day..though fades a little..

After passing through flowing water

Pros:

1. I like the felt tip brush…its quite easy to use.
2. Jet black.
3. Stays almost the whole day.
4. I carry it along with me..as its quite handy and easy to use.
5. Almost everything it claims..it does deliver..
6. Water proof but does give too much of a problem on removal.
7. I also used it on the waterline and it did not sting or irritate and stayed well but not as long as on the upper lashline.

Cons:

1. 3ml at 250 is a little high..either the price should have been less or the qty more.
2. Tips and Toes is not available everywhere..but at selected places.

Overall I am in love with this liner for its ease of use..I have never found liquid liners so easy to use.

Shades available :

I am reviewing the shade Sunlit Bronze. Its a light peachy brown..kinda neutral with very fine shimmer which does not show up much on application. This shade can be layered to increase the intensity and when applied with a light hand its the perfect everyday blush !

It comes in a round packaging with a separate cap. No brush, No mirror !

Pros:

1. Its quite pigmented..you need just a swipe.
2. Its quite smooth in texture.
3. It stays for 5-6 hours.
4. Even though it has fine shimmer it does not show up too much or look OTT.
5. 17 shades to choose from.
6. I love this shade..and can use it daily !
7. These are pretty economical..the only hitch is they would be priced differently at all places depending on the manufacturer.
8. These would last long.

Cons:

1. No brush or mirror with it.
2. Availability is an issue with Jordana. You can buy it here

Overall I love this blush..and I also like Coral Sandy Beach, Sandalwood and Rouge. All colors are pretty nice actually.

MRP: 21£ for 40ml

Ingredients: Aqua (water), Cyclopentasiloxane, C12-15 Alkyl benzoate, Zinc oxide, Titanium dioxide, Sorbitol, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 dimethicone, Isononyl isononanoate, Polyglyceryl-4 isostearate, Talc, Disteardimonium hectorite, Sodium chloride, Squalane, Borago officinalis (borage) seed oil, Polyhydroxystearic acid, Propylene glycol, Alumina, Aluminum stearate, Silica, Isostearic acid, Stearic acid, Aluminum hydroxide, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Sodium dehydroacetate, Methicone, Tocopherol (vitamin E), Persea gratissima (avocado) oil, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Methylparaben, +/- CI 77891 (titanium dioxide), CI 77491 (iron oxides), CI77492 (iron oxides), CI77499 (iron oxides).

Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint is a new launch by Liz Earle and their first step into makeup after skin care. I told you about their new launch here.

It surprisingly looks like any other normal foundation..medium consistency but a little thick in texture compared to a tinted moisturiser. It gives light to medium coverage depending on the qty used. I guess the thicker texture is due to the oils present in it..but that would make this perfect for people with dry skin.

It has a blue tube packaging (which is patented ) with a narrow opening just for the right amount of product. The shade 02 Beige at first looked a little lighter for me..but when blended it looked fine. It does not have too much of yellow or pink undertones..its kinda neutral.

Pros:

1. It gives a nice dewy finish to the skin.
2. Has borage oil, avocado oil and Vitamin E.
3. Gives light to medium coverage depending on how much and how you use it.
4. It would be perfect for people with dry skin and who like a dewy finish.
5. The tube is quite handy and easy to carry along.
6. Has SPF 15.
7. Even though its rich and creamy, it does not feel too heavy.

Cons:

1. It has a little weird smell, mostly of the borage and avocado oils which does go away after a while.
2. Oily skinned would surely need to set it with a powder and it would not give you a matte effect..the shine would come back sooner.
3. Only 3 shades to choose from and there is no shade for the duskier lot.
4. Expensive for a tinted moisturiser.
5. Availability is an issue. It can only be purchased online.

Overall I did like it..but I think its better used in winters..and not in humid or hot climate. Its perfect for the dry skinned ladies ! But if you need more coverage you can skip this.

Its Natural Health Beauty Awards 2010 Winner. Comes in 3 shades: Light,Medium and Dark. Light is for pale complexions and Medium one also has pink undertones..so the Dark one is what I have and surprisingly it does suit me perfectly.

It comes in a small tube form which is very very handy to carry and use. Its of medium consistency and blends well. It works equally great for under eyes and spots and stays put.

Pros:

1. I liked the texture..its very easy to blend.
2. Works great for dark circles and no need of too much blending or tugging the delicate skin.
3. Stays almost the whole day.
4. Comes in a tube form..quiet handy.

Etude Aqua Rouge Lipstick Review,Swatches

Etude Aqua Rouge Lipstick Review,Swatches

Now I had got this long time back..and these lipsticks do not have names..they just have numbers and this one is PP933. I do not know if they are available widely here but Etude House is easily available in Malaysia, Singapore,etc..basically South East Asia.

I do not have the outer carton now which had the ingredients and content and claim. It has Vitamin E and other stuff I remember which makes it moisturising.

I had bought this from a local shop here..I am not aware if they still have this.

MRP: I am not quiet sure but I guess it was around Rs. 200/-

This shade is a glossy light pink with a little mauve undertone and very fine silver shimmer..I just love this shade ! Period.

T-2 swipes B- 1 swipe

It is super moisturising and very very light on lips..you would never ever feel you are wearing a lipstick. It gives a high glossy sheen to the lips and you would not need a gloss with this.

Here is how it looks on my lips

This shade would look very good on medium to fair skin. Its a perfect everyday pink and would not look OTT at all. I wore it in my FOTD here

Pros:

1. Very moisturising..you can easily skip a lip balm with this.
2. Love the shade ! Its a perfect everyday pink.
3. I liked the off white and silver packaging. Its quiet sturdy too.
4. Gives a nice glossy sheen to the lips.
5. Economical.
6. Glides on super smooth.
7. Does not accentuate lines on lips.
8. The shimmer is not very visible and does not stray around the lips like Lakme 138. It just goes away with the lipstick.

Cons:

1. My only issue with this is the staying power. As its super moisturising it stays just for 1-2 hours.
2. Availability is an issue with this.

Overall I quite love this shade and can use it every single day 🙂

Powder Blusher in Morale (Rosed Flush) mirrors the glimmering starlight that illuminates the insomniac’s lair of unending night-time pleasures. A decadent pigment that dares you to be fearless.

Rosed flush, shimmer finish

Unfortunately it broke before it reached me..its very very soft to touch and may be thats why…it needs to be handled carefully.

As described its indeed a color that gives a rosy flush on the cheeks. It looks quite dark and purply in the pan but the color comes out pinker when used lightly.

It has silver shimmer and is a perfect evening wear blush…gives a fuchsia purple color when layered up. As mentioned in the tip above this shade can give four to five variants depending on how intensely its used.

The other blush Ambition from this collection is more of a neutral peachy shade.

Pros:

1. Its very very pigmented and you need just a little for that rosy cheeks.
2. I liked the classic Illamasqua packaging.
3. This shade can give you different variations of color depending on how you used it.
4. Its a perfect night time blush.
5. This is going to last super long as less is more with this.
6. Its very finely milled and is satin smooth in texture.
7. It would also work as an eye shadow and a pretty pink gloss when mixed with a clear one.

Cons:

1. There is no brush or mirror with this.
2. One needs to be very careful using this and start with very less..as there are high chances one would end up with a clown face..it being so pigmented.
3. Not available here.

Overall its quite a pretty blush and I loved the quality of these..just that one needs to be careful in using.

MRP: Rs. 295/- for 3ml

It comes in a small round silver bottle with a long handle and has felt tip like other Tips and Toes liners. I liked the fact about Tips and Toes that all their liners are felt tip and are quiet easy to use.

Ultra Violet is a light violet shade. The thing I did not like about it, is that its quiet sheer. and they do claim above that green and violet need 2-3 swipes. They have very fine shimmer which is not so visible..but thats why these are named as Sparklers and are different here from the Eye Lights.

T-2 coats B-1 coat

After being in water- see how it completely faded

Pros:

1. Has a felt tip brush and is easy to use.
2. Does not flake.
3. Comes off easily.
4. Gives a glossy sheen.

Cons:

1. This is not completely waterproof though claimed.
2. No ingredients mentioned.
3. I think this is priced more coz Eye Lights are better and still priced at 250 whereas the qty is same in both i.e 3ml
4. This particular shade Violet and Green as they claim are quiet sheer and you need 2-3 coats of it, for it to show up.

Overall I found them ok..I have not seen silver and blue yet..but I liked Eye Lights more.

Marine Magic is an aqua blue shade.

MRP: Rs. 250/- for 3ml

Pros:

1. Its very very easy to use because of the felt tip.
2. Nicely pigmented.
3. It gives a glossy kinda effect.
4. Stays on long without flaking.
5. Waterproof.
6. Yet it comes off easily with a normal cleanser.
7. The shelf life is 2 years.

Cons:

1. I think it should have been priced below 200 or the qty should have been a little more at this price..either of the two..
2. Its not available everywhere. Tips and Toes products are available at places mentioned under shop locator here
3. No Ingredients mentioned.

Overall I loved these Eye Lights..as they are quite easy to work with.

The Kohl that survives all tests !!

Yes…I mean the kohl which is jet dark black, stays long and smudges less and never gives  panda eyes..passed the smudging and water test too..plus this one is very very cheap !

“Drum Rolls”

Its the Shingar Kajal Stick !

I have used loads of kajals till date and this is like so better..!

It actually costs Rs. 12/- ! Can you beat that..but this one is free with the Shingar Citrus Deo Talc..

Its a quite nice talc..and for the first time I saw Citrus Talc coz all I always see is Floral Talcs..and at Rs.35/- for 100g its quiet a steal plus you get the Shingar Kohl free..what more would one want..I think all of you must surely get it..

The Kohl waxy and jet dark black..has strong camphor smell which cools the eyes on application..but the pack it came with did not mention the ingredients..

See how dark it is

After lots of rubbing ! Still it did not go

After passing through flowing water

It comes in a conical shape like most kajals but its not in a retractable form.

Pros:

1. Jet black !
2. Very very economical..you get 1.5 g at 12..which is like super cheap and even if you are a person who changes kohl every 3-4 months for hygienic reasons..this would never pinch your pocket.
3. Has camphor and cools eyes.
4. Does not smudge much. (that rhymes :p)
5. Stays on for 3-4 hours..almost the same as Maybelline Colossal kajal and no Kohl stays longer on me.
6. Never gave raccoon eyes.

Cons:

1. No ingredients mentioned.
2. Availability might be an issue.

Overall I quite love it ! I used this in one eye and the Maybelline Colossal kajal on the other..and both looked the same, stayed the same and were same in all aspects like less smudging and no spreading around. In fact comparing the swatches Shingar kajal stick swatch stayed much longer on my hand and was not ready to budge ! This is surely a nice buy then coz Maybelline Colossal is priced at 150 and this at 12 ! 😀
