OOTD: Vintage Polka Dots Retro Style Co-ords

Hi guys,

So if you follow me since few years, you know I am all about stripes and polka dots. I love both, and I can’t choose though mostly I do go for stripes but mostly because there are always better and more options in stripes than polka dots.

But when I saw this co-ord set from Shein, I knew I had to get it! It is all my retro dreams come true.

I love polka dots and co-ords and this set is a deep burgundy with white polka dots. The skirt is flowy and has a huge slit, though I covered it upto a level with a safety pin as the slit ran high! 😀

I paired it with my transparent heels (which I pretty much wear with everything as they work with anything and everything and are super comfortable with a cushion beneath), a simple brown leather Daniel Wellington watch and white big pearl earrings.

I love how this is a 3 piece set and you have the option to wear it with or without the outer frill. It’s just a strapless bandeau like thing. I was definitely more comfortable with the frill and it works one shoulder or off shoulder depending on how you wear it :p

I am not sure if this is still available on Shein, but I have seen this on my Instagram resellers pages too.

OOTD: Green Leaf Print Summer Dress

This green leaf print has been everywhere on the internet, it’s a perfect summer dress. This banana palm leaf print was first introduced at Dolce & Gabbana and now you see it everywhere.. Zara, TopShop, Shein, For Love & Lemons, Asos and you see it in jumpsuits, maxis, short dresses, pretty much everything. It’s a nice tropical, summer print and the white and green combination looks really good.

I got this maxi from Shein, it comes with a self print tie-up belt.

I paired it with my Cult Gaia Large Bamboo Ark Bag and nude bow shoes. Kept the accessories minimal to big pearl studs from Kazo and my Daniel Wellington watch.

We shot this at Worli Sea Face, with the Bandra Worli Sea Link in the background. Though it was super hot and sunny and we tried to click without over exposing the pictures.

OOTD/Lookbook: 3 Casual Outfits

I had not done the 3 outfits series since a long time, see previous ones HERE, HERE and HERE

These are the outfits I wore recently for the events I attended, I have also done a lookbook video 🙂

Outfit 1:

I have seen this long maxi slit tops a lot in the past few months, I never found them in Forever 21 and there was on StalkBuyLove which was almost OOS every time. Finally I found this blue and purple ombre slit top and it is just perfect, except for the length for me if I wear it with flats. I absolutely love the fit, comfort, color, fabric, everything about this top and if you are looking for a long maxi slit top, Stalkbuylove has quite a few options now.

Outfit 2:

A shirt dress again, this time it’s beige, white and black color blocked shirt dress. What I like about this dress is that it can even be worn as a cape. The belt defines the waist and I paired it with the same bag and shoes, but with my Michael Kors watch. I wore this for the Woods new Collection showcase.

Outfit 3:

This is my favourite, bright yellow A-line dress. I absolutely love the lower print, it is quite bright and a statement in itself. I paired it with the same nude sling and my Daniel Wellington watch. I went for strappy block heels since it is more dressy. I was going to wear it for The Body Shop gift wrapping workshop event but I had to run errands that day and this dress is slightly tighter and was not the most comfortable, so I had to change. The only problem is the fit, even though I ordered it as per the size mentioned, it is tight for me. If you plan to buy this, go for a size up.

OOTD: Black Striped Shirt Dress, Silver Loafers

I wore this to the LYN #ShadesOfGrey launch on Tuesday at the Taj Mahal Tea House in Bandra. I love stripes and shirt dresses are my current favourite.

This was the perfect combination of both, while I loved the same dress in white which was anyday more smart but white being see through, I had to go for black. Only problem with shirt dresses I always face is if I go for a bigger size so that the buttons sit properly at the bust, it’s quite loose overall and if I go a size smaller and it’s perfect overall, it always stays a bit open at the bust :/ Sigh. I know a double tape can solve that problem but with this dress, it was just not staying stuck! Also it comes with the matching cloth belt which can help you give the straight fit dress some definition. Sadly the dress is a bit short when you sit, taller girls can wear it like a shirt, I will add leggings the next time.

Anyhoo, coming to this gorgeous silver loafers which I absolutely love but totally hate coz they gave me my life’s worst shoe bites ever! I was in terrible pain and couldn’t even walk, just when my leg got twisted and my right operated leg got a jerk 🙁 It was paining terribly for an hour and then while walking and climbing stairs. The pain is less in the mornings but by night it increases, I hope it heals soon!

So I paired this black shirt dress with silver loafers and this nude Accessorize clutch, it has metallic gold accents which I love! The theme was grey and I had worn a casual grey t-shirt dress before coz that was the only grey I had, but thankfully this dress arrived at the last moment coz I was at my mom’s place, this dress was a saviour!

Fall/Autumn Fashion Trends 2015

Hi guys,

Come winters/fall and the fashion trends change completely. It is all about deep, rich and dark colors in fall/winters. Burgundy, wine, khakhi, black, moss green, grey are the colors IN this season.

And the overcoats, trench coats, blazers would all come out. One thing that is trending this season particularly is the sleeveless trench coat/lapel coat. Also they are perfect for my country which does not have harsh winters but just needs some light layering.

Accessories and shoes wise, it is all about the hats, bucket bags and backpacks, boots, chunky shoes, etc.
