Top 10 Nude/Beige Eyeliners Available in India, Prices
By Simran
Hello everyone!
Eyeliners seem to be an essential part of every girl’s makeup routine. You can choose from a wide variety of colours and give your waterline a nice pop of colour. Black is the favourite colour to be used on the waterline by most of the Indian women. But, if you have hooded eyes or monolid or close set eyes, black can make your eyes look smaller. So, rather than buying a black eyeliner next time, go for a nude eyeliner.
Now you must be wondering, why shouldn’t you use a white eyeliner instead? It’s simple, white eyeliners leave a sheer unnatural finish. The pros of using a nude eyeliner, you ask? A flesh toned or nude eyeliner brightens your eyes and instantly makes them appear bigger. It helps you in brightening the inner corner if you have deep set eyes or you can use it as a concealer on your face or even as a brow bone highlighter!
So, I have compiled a list of the best nude eyeliners available in India.
1. Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in N*de 005 (Price: INR 345/-) (Buy HERE)
This has to be the best budget nude eyeliner available in India. The formulation is quite creamy and it glides on the waterline easily. It lasts about 5-6 hours on the waterline after which it fades away completely. Rimmel is available in Parcos stores in India.
2. Lord & Berry Silk Kajal Eye Pencil in Nudo (Price: INR 800/-) (Buy HERE)
This kajal has a glide-on texture which allows you precise control over the pencil. The colour payoff is excellent and it will last on your lids for the whole day. The pencil has to be sharpened and is not in the retractable form.
3. Sephora colourful shadow and liner in 33 Secret Boudoir (Price: $14 or approximately INR 950/-)
This jumbo pencil is multi-usage, you can use it on your waterline or apply it on your lids as an eye shadow primer. The lasting power is great and the finish of the eyeliner is matte! There is another jumbo pencil in the range in shimmer finish in the shade 05 Beige. This eye pencil by Sephora is decently priced, according to me.
4. Maybelline colour show eyeliner in Shiny Beige (Price: INR 325/-)
Another affordable option in the Indian market is the Maybelline colour show eyeliner in Shiny Beige. The finish of the eyeliner is shimmery which is perfect if you’re doing glittery eye makeup. The pencil is in the retractable form and is completely waterproof.
The next nude eyeliner comes from the newly launched brand in India, Nyx. This indeed wonderfully working multi tasking wonder pencil works as a concealer, a lip liner as well as an eyeliner. You can use it to highlight your brow bone or line your waterline to bring life back in your eyes. So, get your hands on it before it goes out of stock, again.
6. Inglot Kohl pencil in 05 (Price: INR 850/-)
The pencil is highly pigmented and formulated to gently define the eyes while leaving a velvety appearance. The active ingredients in the kohl pencil provide a moisturizing effect. The pencil is long lasting, completely waterproof and smudge proof.
This eye pencil is perfect to make your dull eyes look brighter. It is a double ended pencil with a brightening nude shade on one side and a wide array of shades to choose from for the other side. Who doesn’t love multitasking products? The formulation of the liner is creamy and it lasts on your lid for a long time.
8. MAC Technakohl Liner in Risque (Price: $17 or approximately INR 1150/-)
The eye pencil is a pale beige-nude colour in retractable pencil form. Its formula is soft and creamy with intense, rich colour. It is a smudge proof long wear eyeliner which helps in instantly brightening your eyes.
9. Colourpop HoneyDude Eyeliner (Price: $5 or approximately INR 350/-)
“Who needs a sugar daddy when you have this creamy warm nude” says the description of the eyeliner, so fancy! The eyeliner is in a smooth, creamy, long lasting finish to give your eyes the perfect dose of colour. The finish of the eyeliner is completely matte and the pencil comes in a retractable form.
10. Urban Decay 24/7 waterline eye pencil in Walk of Shame (Price: $20 or approximately INR 1350/-)
The formulation of the eye pencil is creamy and the finish is demi-matte. The multi usage pencil can be used a highlighter on your face or even as a cream concealer. The pencil is slightly high on budget but if you need a nude pencil which will (literally) last on your waterline all day then surely buy this pencil.
Editor’s Note: I recently ordered Colourpop Honeydude eyeliner, I also have a Jordana one which I really like. I would like to add the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick 24H Water Proof in Bulletproof Beige
Elizabeth Arden Ultra Ceramide Lipstick Brick Review, Swatches
By Simran
“Show off your lips, show off your lipstick”
Hello everyone!
Don’t we all enjoy an amazing red lipstick? A red lipstick is something which instantly makes you look glorious even if you are only wearing the lipstick alone. A red lipstick has its own pros; it makes you look younger, feel confident, it is perfect for every occasion and you can wear any outfit with it. Every girl probably needs to own a luxurious red lipstick in their vanity.
So, I will be reviewing one of my favourite luxury red lipstick from Elizabeth Arden, The Elizabeth Arden Ultra Ceramide lipstick in Brick.
Claims: This lustrous, colour-saturated lipstick is infused with Volulip and delivers brilliant, moisturizing, colour-lasting comfort shine, for plumper, fuller-looking lips. Lips look fuller, more defined … and feel youthfully smooth, soft and nourished. Ceramide Triple Complex helps strengthen and re-texturize skin’s appearance, holding in vital skin-plumping moisture. Lips look fuller and younger. Contours seem more defined.
Key ingredient: Volulip ceramide triple complex.
Price: $24 or approximately INR 1650.
Packaging: The lipstick tube is black in colour with trails of golden near the cap. I bought the lipstick last year from duty-free but now the company has changed the packaging which is embossed with a design inspired by the iconic Elizabeth Arden Red Door and textured golden in colour. Despite the change in packaging, the texture and colour remained the same.
Texture & Colour: The lipstick is not exactly a glossy lipstick, it leaves a sheen on your lips; it is more of a demi-matte or moisture-matte in finish. The texture is buttery smooth and it glides on your lips like a dream and gives you a rich feel. It is very comfortable on the lips to wear. The lipstick does transfer a lot if you do not set it with powder.
Coming to the colour, the hue of the lipstick is a cool toned red or brick red. It is very pleasing to the eyes and can be worn daily to your work place.
My take on the product: The lipstick being a moisture matte lipstick is one of my favourite go-to red lipsticks. The brick red colour will ideally suit Indian skin tones. I like to turn down the lipstick to a complete matte by patting some translucent powder over it.
The staying power of the lipstick is a good 7-8 hours after which it will start fading from the centre of the lips; the lipstick can survive a good 4 course meal. It does not bleed or settle in to fine lines.
The Volulip ceramide triple complex does help in giving the illusion of plump lips and the lips appear more fuller. The company claims that the lipstick lasts a good 20 hours, which I highly disagree with.
Overall, the pigmentation of the lipstick is great and it offers an amazing colour pay off in just one swipe.
Though the lipstick is not transfer proof. I recommend using the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful colour smooth line lip pencil in the shade Crimson along with the lipstick as a lip liner underneath.
Pros:
Appreciable Lasting power
Great pigmentation
Will suit Indian skin tones
Plumps lips and gives a fuller look
Does not settle into fine lines
Gives a luxurious feel
Does not bleed upon application
Cons:
None I can think of.
Rating: 4.5/5
I recommend this lipstick to anyone looking for a great cool toned red lipstick for everyday use; this is one of the best options to try out in the luxury section.
Studiowest Almond & Peach Refreshing Shower Gel Review
By Simran
‘Take care of your body, it’s the only place you have to live’
Studiowest has taken over my world by storm. The Studiowest range of products is made by keeping in mind the Indian skin and the harsh Indian weather. I picked up the product from the Radiance bath & body range of Studiowest.
The Radiance range consists of fruity fragrance products while there is an another completely parallel range called the Indulge range which consists of flowery fragrance products.
Other options in the Radiance range consisting of fruity fragrance are Honey & Strawberry, Aloe Vera & Green Apple.
Claim: The goodness of almond and peach cleanses and hydrates your skin, leaving it soft and supple.
Ingredients:
Price: Rs. 299/- for 300ml
Packaging: The packaging is not anything fancy. It has a flip open cap which makes the products easy to use and doesn’t encourage wastage of the product. The cap is sturdy and easy to use. The product comes in a simple transparent plastic bottle which is sturdy as well.
Consistency: The consistency of the product is not thick as compared to other shower gels. It lathers up quickly, you do not need to use a huge amount of the product. It leaves a beautiful aroma of peach lingering on the skin which is the biggest plus point of the product. Who wouldn’t like to smell like peaches? You need to use a pea size amount to wash your face.
My experience with the product: I solely picked up the product due to the beautiful aroma of the product and since I ran out of my shower gel, i wanted to try a new product.
The products sticks to its claims pretty well. It makes your skin really soft and hydrates it pretty well.
Even though the colour of the product looks peach in the packaging, it comes off as a transparent gel. The product lathers well so you do not need a lot of amount for each use. I usually like to pour a coin size amount on a wet loofah and use the shower gel.
The fragrance of the product has a good staying power even after the shower. I always use a body butter/body lotion after using the product since I have normal to dry skin.
I highly recommend using the Studiowest Peach & Almond body lotion or body butter after using the shower gel to make the fragrance of the product linger all day.
Pros of Studiowest Radiance Almond & Peach Refreshing Shower Gel:
Hydrates the skin
Huge amount of the product is not required
Lathers really well
Leaves an aroma of peaches on your skin
Good consistency of the product
Budget friendly
Cons of Studiowest Radiance Almond & Peach Refreshing Shower Gel:
Some people might find the fragrance of the product too harsh
Available only in the Westside stores across the country
Rating: 4/5
Overall: You get a good amount of 300ml for 299 Rs. The bottle will last you for 2-3 months as a lot of product is not required per use since the lathering power of the product is amazing.
The product smells wonderful and is hydrating as well. Yes, you would have to moisturize your skin after the use if you have dry skin.
Editor’s Note: I have tried the Almond & Peach Face Wash from this range. Sounds pretty good.
I believe, eye creams should be a mandatory part of every girl’s skin care routine. The skin around the eyes is more fragile, more prone to dryness, and quicker to show age and fatigue.
Squinting and constant movement of the eyes also hasten the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and fluids collect under the eyes and cause puffiness and dark circles. Eye creams can address some of these issues.
Eye creams are formulated specifically for the delicate skin around the eye, so they tend to be thicker. They contain more oil than a regular facial lotion, and they have a lot of active ingredients aimed at the problems we see around the eyes.
So, today I will be reviewing my trusted eye cream which I have been using for more than 2 years; The Himalaya under eye cream.
Claims: Himalaya Under Eye Cream clears under eye circles, pigmentation and blemishes. It also brightens and smoothens the areas around your eyes reduces dark circles by 80 percent in just 4 weeks, reduces under eye wrinkles and fine lines by 28 percent in just 4 weeks, brightens and smoothens eye contour.
Ingredients:
How the cream works: This under-eye cream comes with breakthrough herbal ingredients of Bergenia Ligulata and Cipadessa Baccifera, which actively fight against the appearance of dark circles and shield the sensitive skin around your eyes from harsh sunlight. Your skin must be free of toxins and be moisturised to sustain a healthier look without wrinkles and fine lines. Himalaya Eye Cream detoxifies and moisturises your skin, thereby rejuvenating your eyes. Consistent use of this cream can make your eyes stay wrinkle free and youthful.
Packaging: The product comes in a simple tube form which makes the handling of the product easier. You can directly apply the product on your under eye area from the tube. The packaging is not anything fancy but very sturdy.
My take on the product: The reason that I have been using the product for more than 2 years is enough to say that the product is amazing. The texture of the cream is light so it won't feel heavy underneath your eyes.
My eyelid area used to feel dry but after using this cream, the problem was solved. I never used eye creams until I started seeing some puffiness around my eyes. The product targets the puffiness and fine lines around your eyes and it takes about 30-45 days for your under eye issues to vanish.
I never suffered from dark circles but my mother did, and after about 2 months of the using the product continuously, her dark circles almost vanished. You can see visible results in about a week of using the product. You only need a little amount of the product so, one tube will last you a very long time. It lasts me for about 3-4 months.
Pros:
-decently priced
-sticks to its claims
-light texture & easily absorbed
– convenient packaging
Cons:
– has parabens
Rating: 4/5
If you’re searching for an affordable eye cream which actually works on dark circles or fine lines, you should absolutely give this cream a try.
Editor’s Note: This sounds pretty good Simran
Have you tried the Himalaya Herbals Under Eye Cream?
We have all been new to the makeup world some time or another and learnt everything by trial and error. One thing which comes in the mind of a person new to makeup is; affordable makeup products since they haven’t mastered any techniques and hence need affordable options to experiment and learn with.
And for anyone trying their hands on eye shadows, is to get a good eye shadow primer, that should be the prime objective. An eye shadow primer acts as a base for your eye shadow, makes the pigmentation of the eye shadow more visible and helps in the staying power of the eye shadow on your lids.
However, there aren’t many affordable options available in the Indian market. When I started using eye shadows, there were barely any primers available, even the costly ones.
So, I DIY-d my very own eye shadow primer and used it for ages till I got an actual eye shadow primer from the market. Hopefully, this will help anyone new to makeup or someone who wants to save some bucks on an eye shadow primer.
It consists of basic things which we all have lying around anyways. It works the same as any eye shadow primer in the market would.
What you’ll need:
Foundation
Concealer
Body Butter or Thick Moisturizer
Empty and Clean Tub
Toothpick
Starting with, you’d want to sanitize the tub you want to keep your primer in. I have used this old lip balm tub and sanitized it. You can even buy empty tubs similar to these online.
Initially, you want to pour some foundation in the tub, the foundation is the base of the product so you should use the most of it depending on how much eye primer you want to make. I am using this Foundation by the body shop in my eye shadow primer.
Next, put in a little concealer, use it lesser than the foundation, half than how much foundation you used to be precise. It will help in adding that little brightness in your eye shadow primer. I am using this Deliplus concealer I had got from Spain.
Finally, put a bit of body butter or thick body lotion, you shouldn’t use a light/thin consistency moisturizer since it would make the consistency of your eye primer runny.
The ratio of the moisturizer/body butter should be same or teeny less than the concealer. What the moisturizer does, is to retain the moisture on your lids underneath all that eye shadow. I am using this parachute body lotion.
The ratio you want to work in is 2:1:1 that is 2 parts foundation, 1 part concealer and 1 part moisturizer.
Mix it well with the help of a toothpick and store it away well. Always use a brush to apply the product to avoid spreading any germs and always pat some powder on top of the eye shadow primer to help it not to crease.
I wouldn’t really recommend making huge batches of the eye shadow primer. Make a batch that’ll not last you more than 1-2 months. You require a really small amount for each use.
I have used this eye shadow primer for more than 8 hours and it lasted me without creasing or fading my eye makeup.
Editor’s Note: That sounds like a good eye primer. I would also recommend adding a little glycerine in place or addition to the body butter, just a tiny amount.

Makeup Revolution Salvation Palette Welcome to the Pleasuredome Review, Swatches
By Simran
“Beauty is how you feel inside , and it reflects in your eyes. It is not something physical”
Hello everyone!
Today i am going to review the Makeup Revolution Salvation Palette in Welcome to the Pleasuredome. I was not into eye shadows until last year since i couldn’t figure out how to use it. Haven’t we all been there? We just level up by trial and errors and reach the pro level.
The salvation palettes are limited edition eye shadow palettes which come in 10 different variants, which are; Unicorns Unite, What are you waiting for?, Girls on film, Run boy run, Welcome to the pleasuredome, Dia de los muertos, Give them Nightmares, Colour chaos, Girl panic and Hard day.
All the palettes consist of 6 matte and 12 shimmery or metal finish eyeshadows.
I bought Welcome to the Pleasuredome since it had eye shadows perfect for a quirky or smokey eye look and i got too bored of my pink and nude palettes.
Claims: Salvation is here! Why a Salvation? For the first time we have combined Shimmer and Matte Shades in a series of exciting Limited Edition Palettes with 18 shades of super high pay off Impact. These Palettes are in beautiful compact with large full size mirror for the first time in our series of palettes. We hope this is what you have been waiting for? We have assembled this as the perfect mix of nudes and naturals for day, moving to smokier by night. 12 shimmers and 6 Mattes inside with full length mirror.
Ingredients:
Price: Rs. 1350/- for a palette consisting 16 shades.
Packaging: Can we talk about how intriguing the outer packaging is? i fell in love with it. The palette is a classic sleek black palette, the material of the palette feels a bit cheap though. There is a full size compact mirror provided in the palette which is actually really handy. The palette closes with a click and is quite sturdy and can be carried in your handbag. There is a useless sponge tip applicator provided in the palette but i just never use it, who uses it anyways?
My take on Makeup Revolution Salvation Palette in Welcome to the Pleasuredome:
I was having high expectations from this palette since Makeup Revolution is an affordable and trustworthy brand and the product aced all my expectations. The shadows are highly pigmented and the shades provided in the palette are so mesmerising. I usually use the matte shades in my crease as a transition colour and the shimmery shades go on the lid.
You can create a classic smokey eye from this palette since the shade Never Doing What I am Told is the matte-est black you will ever find.
Shades like Sell it by hour & Shooting stars never stop, There goes a Supernova give a metallic finish which i absolutely love.
Welcome to the Pleasuredome & Xanadu can be used as a highlighter for your face; who doesn’t like multi tasking products?
The shadows can last you the whole day and i have actually mistakenly slept with my makeup on and these shadows did not even budge an inch.

Top 5 Felt tip/Pen tip Eyeliners in India, Prices, Buy Online

“You have to be calm, cool and collected around liquid eyeliners, because it can sense fear”
Hello everyone!
Let us all look back to the days when we couldn’t even draw a straight line on our eyes, and look at us all, we have mostly got so fierce with our eye liners. I find that an eyeliner adds a quick spark on the face and levels up your makeup game altogether. And, if you haven’t mastered the art of perfecting your eyeliner, worry not; that’s what felt tip or pen tip eyeliners are for. They help you create the perfect line even if you’re a bit too shaky or just a newbie in the eyeliner game.
Liquid liners can be a bit too messy if you’re a newbie and they provide no control over the applicator. I never started with felt tip eyeliners, honestly, i just jumped straight into a liquid eyeliner and by trial and error, i learnt on my own.
Felt tip liners help you create the most perfect lines and sharp wings, the only con being, they usually dry out pretty quickly. So, here’s my Top 5 felt tip/pen tip eyeliners to help you create that perfect wing:
1. Maybelline The Colossal Liner (Price: Rs. 425/-) (Review HERE) (BUY HERE for 340)
This has to be my most favourite eyeliner out of all the eyeliners mentioned here. It claims to be the perfect antidote to your eye liner woes, smudge-free with quick-dry formula ensuring long-lasting bold application. Fade-proof, lasting up to 12-hours long. It comes with a 0.4 mm Flexi Tip Applicator which enables error-free and quick application. Its empowered with Ink-pigment technology providing stunning, defining lines as well as intense colour. Initially, i hated this eyeliner since it didn’t use to last more than 2-3 hours or so; not like any felt lip lasts long but this one disappointed me at first. Then, i just tried using it after days by patting powder on my lids first and the results were magical. This liner lasted me for more than 8 hours and gave me really sharp lines. It is a must have if you want precise, bold, black and long lasting eyeliner.
2. Colorbar Ultimate Eye Liner (Price: Rs. 550/-) (BUY HERE for 512)
It claims to be highly pigmented giving an intense look. It is waterproof and stays on for long hours, without smudging or bleeding and you can also play around with the look you want to wear. This liner gives you the blackest lines and is completely smudge free. It lasted me a good 6 hours. It doesn’t come off easily until you actually use a makeup remover. It is worth a buy if you want an eyeliner for an all day usage.
3. Lotus Herbals Colorkick Curved Liquid Eyeliner (Price: Rs. 725/-) (BUY HERE for 690)
I bought this eyeliner after hearing bloggers and youtubers rave about, and i finished it pretty quickly since it just is so good. It claims to give proper holding position for comfortable application. Buttery soft texture glides over waterline effortlessly. It does not feel heavy. Stays on eyes for long time. I love the way the product is packaged, it helps you have a grip and control over what you’re doing. It gives bold black lines and the tip is perfect for even creating a thin line. The only con is the pricing which i find is a lot to spend on a felt tip liner which is barely 0.4ml. A must have for anyone who is new to the eyeliner world. It’s a dupe of the Sephora Curved Liquid Eyeliner.
4. Maybelline Hyper Sharp Eyeliner (Price: Rs. 425/-) (Review HERE) (BUY HERE for 361)
Can we all just agree that Maybelline makes the best and affordable products? It claims to be waterproof, does not flake and can be used on the inner rim. The carbon black colour and defined finish will add an instant drama to your eyes. With its precision-tip foam applicator, this innovative sweat resistant formula delivers vibrant wear with no feathering, flaking, or fading. This liner gives you really precise and thin lines, it stays for upto 5-6 hours and is pretty sturdy so you can carry it around wherever you go. If you need a liner for creating the subtle thin lines, just buy this liner without a second thought.
This company has been there forever, our mothers used its products, so you just know it is trustworthy. It claims to have a quick dry, long lasting, smudge-free formula that just doesn’t smear. This eyeliner will highlight the beautiful shape of your eyes. It comes with an easy-to-apply applicator which is in a pen-type design, making it simple for you to define the contours of your eyes, to give you the desired look in one stroke. This liner is yet again bold, black and provides you perfect control over the lines you create. You can create anything from a subtle thin line to a bold winged eyeliner. It lasts up to 6 hours and is smudge free. It is Lakme, just trust it and buy it. do i need to say anymore?
Editor’s Note: I absolutely love this list Simran. Maybelline Hypersharp was my favourite untill they launched the Colossal Liner. Now I only use Maybelline The Colossal Liner. My recent discovery which is really nice and I would like to add in this list as the 6th one is the PAC Cosmetics Liquid Liner Pen.

“If at first you don’t succeed, apply more lipstick!”
Hi everyone!
This is indeed going to be my very first post on New Love-Makeup and i am feeling great to be a part of this little community we got here.
So, i discovered Studiowest products about last year when i was casually walking through a Westside store and i am so glad i found a range which is so affordable and amazing at the same time.
Who doesn’t like makeup which looks good without burning a hole in your pocket?
On my recent web search, i discovered not a lot of reviews are being done on Studiowest products, so i thought why not give the brand the limelight it deserves?
The Studiowest cosmetics are divided into two ranges, Pure Passion and Maya
The Pure Passion range consists of beautiful corals, nudes and warm tone shades whereas the Maya range consists of glitter, dark tones and everything loud.
Pure Passion range can be considered as a range which consists of products which can be used on an everyday basis whereas the Maya range consists of products which can be used during parties or festivals or anytime you are going for that glam doll look.
Packaging: The product is packaged in a matte sleek black tube which is quite appeasing to the eyes. The lipstick bullet is encased in a golden metallic tube which is in perfect combination with the black. The cap is sturdy and travel friendly, you can slip the lipstick in your clutch and you’re ready to take over the world.
Claims: Indulge your lips with this long lasting lipstick. Comfortable and lightweight, it stays on for hours without drying out.
Price: Rs. 450/- for 3.5 gms
My take on Studiowest Pure Passion Long Lasting Lipstick in 621-Honey Glaze:
So, initially i got the lipstick in this shade for my mother because she only wears nude pinks and she wanted a new long lasting lipstick.
The lipstick is in a gorgeous nude mauve pink which can be worn every day. Anyone from fair to medium skin tone can wear this shade, it wouldn’t flatter darker skin tones though. The product sticks to its claim of longetivity since it stays for upto 6-7 hours even after a 3 course meal. It doesn’t dry out the lips and i love how moisturizing it is.
The product isn’t completely matte, it is more of a moisturising matte or demi matte but i always pat translucent powder on top to turn the lipstick completely matte. I especially love how the lipstick smells, it is just so soothing. Even my mother loves the shade and the lasting power of the lipstick.
Pros of Studiowest Pure Passion Long Lasting Lipstick in 621- Honey Glaze:
Lasting power of the lipstick
Does not dry out the lips
Array of shades available
Moisturises the lips
Value for the money
Cons of Studiowest Pure Passion Long Lasting Lipstick in 621- Honey Glaze:
Only available in Westside stores across the country.
Rating: 4.5/5
Editor’s Note: I agree Simran, some of the shades in the Studiowest Pure Passion Range are really good. I have a few products from Studiowestand some are really good including the Pure Passion Lipstick. This shade is exactly like MAC Cosmo, an affordable dupe!
