April 2016 Fab Bag Review, Unboxing

Hi guys,

I got my April Fab Bag today, there was some address goof up, but thanks to my mom, I got it on time.

This month’s theme is ‘It’s A Spring Thing‘. I absolutely loved the pink textured bag, the quality is nice too.

  • Catrice Longlasting Lip Pencil in 020 Hey Macadamia Ahey (Full size Rs.300/-)
  • O3+ Skin Whitening Mask- 10ml (Rs.775/- for 50g)
  • Soultree Aloe & Rose Water Cleansing Milk – 30ml (Rs,295/- for 120ml)
  • Rene Furterer Curbicia Lightness Regulating Shampoo- 15ml (Rs.1320/- for 150ml)
  • Style Fiesta Earrings- Rs.499/-
  • Freshlook 1 Day Color Lens – Grey (1 pair) (Rs.900 for a pair of 5)

There was an option to select a full sized makeup product for this month’s bag and since I already had most of the stuff, I went for this Catrice Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Hey Macadamia Ahey.

There are 6 products in this month’s bag which is pretty good. I love the Catrice Lip pencil and the earrings. Also I haven’t worn colored lenses post I got my lasik done, so would definitely be trying these once in one of the makeup looks in the future.

Not very happy about the samples except the Soultree one, but the rest of the products makeup for it.

 

Freshlook Grey Lenses

The earrings, lip pencil and one pair of colored lenses totally make the bag worth the money, rest can be counted free 🙂 I do like this month’s bag and recommend it, unless you don’t wear lenses and don’t like the accessory. I am not sure which accessory is being sent to whom, so that depends on your luck 😀

Overall, a thumbs up from me.

This month’s packaging is different, the theme is ‘India Mon Amour‘ (which means ‘India My Love’ in French) and all the products are natural, herbal and organic. It is an oxblood red box with golden design on top depicting ancient India figures. August box is all about skin care and fragrance this month and something for the eyes.

It also has a separate card this time, apart from the product card, which has 5 ayurvedic skin care tips.

Forest Essentials details are missing and the 5th skin care tip is mentioned, a little goof up

Also coming to the products, I love everything in this box. The Hedonista Frozen Ittar is all natural and organic made with coconut oil and pure ittar. It is so convenient to carry and comes in this small jar. You need just a teeny weeny bit and the smell lasts for 7-8 hours minimum!!

I have got 2-3 small pimples and it is actually the perfect time to try out this Suganda Neem Green Tea Mask. It is in powder form and you can mix it with rose water or normal water and just apply it and wash off. I can’t wait to try this, have liked Suganda products untill now.

I wanted to try the Forest Essentials Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist since a long time and I got it in this month’s box! Yay 😀 I absolutely love the smell and it is the best body mist I have tried, it just absorbs into the skin and leaves behind a refreshing smell. I have tried body mists from Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret too, but nothing beats this Forest Essentials one!

Coming to the Soultree Kajal, I already have 2-3 of these including one colored. I find the colored ones a bit dry in texture and these black ones are nice but as usual smudge a lot. So not too keen on the Soultree Kajal, but a full sized product is always good.

The 4th product is an option between Forest Essentials Body Mist & SkinYoga scrub, now I would have liked both 😀 But anyway, not being greedy, I am in love with this month’s My Envy Box. There have never been 3 full sized products and one deluxe sized (which is actually HALF) sample ever any of their boxes.

To start with the Inveda BB cream, its quiet nice and good for everyday use. Only issue being just 2 shades available: Fair and Matt

I have tried the SoulTree Kajal before, the Pure Black is much smoother than other colors which go on a little hard. Also its all natural and organic made from ghee and camphor, but if you are looking for something smudge free, this won’t help at all.

I loved a full sized lipstick in the bag, though I wish I would have got some other matte shade. This shade Rosey Plum has shimmer and I am not a fan of shimmer.

I like the Sebastian shampoo deluxe size and would be carrying it for my next travel.

Absolutely loved these cute butterfly blue earrings from Fashionography.

Overall, some hits and misses. Though more of hits for the price of Rs.599/-. I absolutely recommend giving Fab Bag a try.
