OOTD/Lookbook: 3 Casual Outfits

Hi guys,

I had not done the 3 outfits series since a long time, see previous ones HERE, HERE and HERE

These are the outfits I wore recently for the events I attended, I have also done a lookbook video 🙂

Outfit 1:

I have seen this long maxi slit tops a lot in the past few months, I never found them in Forever 21 and there was on StalkBuyLove which was almost OOS every time. Finally I found this blue and purple ombre slit top and it is just perfect, except for the length for me if I wear it with flats. I absolutely love the fit, comfort, color, fabric, everything about this top and if you are looking for a long maxi slit top, Stalkbuylove has quite a few options now.

Outfit 2:

A shirt dress again, this time it’s beige, white and black color blocked shirt dress. What I like about this dress is that it can even be worn as a cape. The belt defines the waist and I paired it with the same bag and shoes, but with my Michael Kors watch. I wore this for the Woods new Collection showcase.

Outfit 3:

This is my favourite, bright yellow A-line dress. I absolutely love the lower print, it is quite bright and a statement in itself. I paired it with the same nude sling and my Daniel Wellington watch. I went for strappy block heels since it is more dressy. I was going to wear it for The Body Shop gift wrapping workshop event but I had to run errands that day and this dress is slightly tighter and was not the most comfortable, so I had to change. The only problem is the fit, even though I ordered it as per the size mentioned, it is tight for me. If you plan to buy this, go for a size up.

OOTD: Crop Top,White Culottes

Hey guys,

An OOTD post today.I love culottes in monsoons coz they don’t get dirty from the bottom plus they dry out pretty quickly unlike denims. So culottes are your best bet in the rains. Also they give the look of a skirt with the feel of pants :p I had styled a pair of floral culottes last monsoon HERE.

This time it is a pair of white culottes and I went with a crop top. I love how the coral red crop top works with the white culottes. I was not too pleased with the fit of the culottes, but as the size increases so does the length and since I am short, it somehow clashes :/ I accessorized with a nice, chunky statement neck piece and let that be the showstopper of the outfit.

A simple gold midi ring, watch and brogues to complete the look.

OOTD: Orange Lace Dress, Floral Blazer

Hi guys,

If you read the previous post, you know we had been for lunch yesterday at The Trident, BKC. We also ended up shooting the outfit since I loved the decor.

 

I wore this pretty orange lace dress which can also be worn off shoulder, but since I had layered it with a blazer, I wore it normally. I absolutely love the fit and how it hugs the waist and gives a shape and is not like a shift dress. Plus orange and yellow are my favourite colors <3

I wore this very light, floral blazer on top. It is so light, that I could comfortably wear it in these summers too. (obviously with the AC indoors) Since the dress and blazer are all bright and colorful, I skipped the accessories and kept the bag and shoes neutral.

So, I paired the outfit with my favourite Michael Kors sling (which you guys are bored of seeing now, but I am too lazy to change bags :D) and another current favourite, these tan brogues. Also added, a classic Daniel Wellington watch.

OOTD: I Am Back 🙂

Hey guys,

I am back, up and going now. I can do all the basic stuff and would be going back to my place with hubby 🙂 Only I cannot walk fast or climb steps quickly as of now. Also I am not supposed to wear heels for 2-3 more months. So I am buying lots of flats, reasons to shop 😉 And back with a new outfit post. A monochrome and androgynous outfit but with a twist, the twist is the blouse has cute bow cut offs on the sleeves.

The trousers were quite loose for me, but I did not bother exchanging them as they were very comfortable! Though I would get a few alterations done to it.

I paired this monochrome outfit with my new metallic gold Vans with tassels on the sides ! Say hello to my new Vans!

I know the pics are not very clear..I just discovered yesterday that my new DSLR lens was also dashed from the front and the zoom got stuck, as we were carrying it with us on the day of the accident. I have given it for repair at the service center, I hope it starts working properly again 🙁

OOTD: Off Shoulder Black Printed Midi Dress

Hey guys,

Another OOTD, this time from the Andamans, Havelock to be specific. Our hotel Emerald Gecko was at Vijayanagar beach and had this private beach area (which most of the decent hotels in Havelock do). I clicked lots of pics there and the breakfast/dining area was also bang opposite the beach. You just feel like lying there whole day.

I wore this dress on my birthday. I know its too dressy for the beach, but we were heading out and it starts getting dark at Havelock around 4-4.30 and after 5 its like pitch dark. So we clicked the pics before heading out.

I love how this dress fits beautifully and is super comfortable. The off shoulder looks nice and the printed lower half with two pockets also works perfectly, though it looks like a separate top and midi skirt. I paired it with a statement necklace and a statement belt.

With my Daniel Wellington watch and black suede ankle strap wedges. And my favourite MAC Ruby Woo <3

Later we went to Kaala Patthar beach too which was very near to our hotel, we went there two days out of the three we were at Havelock. Kaala Patthar hardly had any crowd and was serene unlike Radhanagar which was quite crowded.

OOTD: On the Streets of Hong Kong

OOTD: On the Streets of Hong Kong (Lavender Sweater, Pastel Blue Blazer)

Finally I am resuming work slowly. Still settling down though,hopefully in a week or so I would be back to my regular posting. For now, here is one of my outfit posts on the streets of Hong Kong.

These shots are taken on the road below our hotel, at The Sky Terrace i.e. the highest point of Hong Kong and Madam Tussauds 😀 It was super fun clicking pics with few of the wax statues.

It was around 12-13 degrees there with cold breeze which was slightly intolerable for me. I needed layering and this sweater + light blazer was the perfect combo to keep me warm. Everyone in general in Hong Kong and Macau wore sweaters/jackets/trench coats/sweat shirts or some or the other kind of layering.

I accessorized with a pearl and spiked bracelet which I more or less was stuck to on most of the days since it looked good and worked with everything 😀 A classic Daniel Wellington Watch and a neon diamante statement necklace.

Since we walked a lot, I chose flats on most of the days and these mint Bata slip ons (shown HERE) stayed with me on all the days. They were so so comfortable, I cam back to these after trying 1-2 others in between.

I loved the pastel on pastel combo and the neon necklace and the bright lipstick adds a pop to the outfit. The blazer is cotton chambray and super light and comfortable, still keeps you warm and the folded floral sleeves look so chic!

OOTD: Matching Separates

Hey guys,

I am back with an OOTD. This time with matching separates. I have worn crop top before HERE and HERE. But never a matching separates pair.

This time its a crop top and a skirt in floral mint. Loved the pink and white roses print on the pale green.Since the top has a zip upto the top,I skipped a necklace. Only accessorized it with a gold hollow design cuff and gold midi rings. And my new favourite studded tan ankle strap block heels.

 

I think a size bigger would have been more comfortable but it was out of stock and I felt like trying this. Though it fits well, I think I need to loose a bit more for this :p
