OOTD/Lookbook: 3 Casual Outfits

I had not done the 3 outfits series since a long time, see previous ones HERE, HERE and HERE

These are the outfits I wore recently for the events I attended, I have also done a lookbook video 🙂

Outfit 1:

I have seen this long maxi slit tops a lot in the past few months, I never found them in Forever 21 and there was on StalkBuyLove which was almost OOS every time. Finally I found this blue and purple ombre slit top and it is just perfect, except for the length for me if I wear it with flats. I absolutely love the fit, comfort, color, fabric, everything about this top and if you are looking for a long maxi slit top, Stalkbuylove has quite a few options now.

Outfit 2:

A shirt dress again, this time it’s beige, white and black color blocked shirt dress. What I like about this dress is that it can even be worn as a cape. The belt defines the waist and I paired it with the same bag and shoes, but with my Michael Kors watch. I wore this for the Woods new Collection showcase.

Outfit 3:

This is my favourite, bright yellow A-line dress. I absolutely love the lower print, it is quite bright and a statement in itself. I paired it with the same nude sling and my Daniel Wellington watch. I went for strappy block heels since it is more dressy. I was going to wear it for The Body Shop gift wrapping workshop event but I had to run errands that day and this dress is slightly tighter and was not the most comfortable, so I had to change. The only problem is the fit, even though I ordered it as per the size mentioned, it is tight for me. If you plan to buy this, go for a size up.

OOTD: 80’s Frills Dress

A new OOTD today, this week I attended the Grazia BeauTea Party at The Taj Mahal Tea House in Bandra. It was a small meet of 6-7 bloggers and the Beauty Editor and Art Director of Grazia India. It will be covered in next month’s Grazia magazine which is the ‘Beauty Special’, so do grab your hands on that 😀

Anyhoo, this is what I wore. I am loving this red frills skater dress, it is so so comfortable and the frills make it look super pretty. Also it was a common style in the 80’s and has made a comeback and why not when all the styles from 70’s and 80’s have 😀

I paired it with my black fringed sling bag and black and gold ankle strap sandals. Finished with my current favourite Michael Kors rose gold link watch.

OOTD: Denim Shirt Dress, Cute Animal Ballet Flats

Hi guys,

I went to attend the Swatch Fall Winter 2015 Collection Preview at Out of The Blue last week. This is what I wore to the event.

It’s a simple blue denim shirt dress. I love the fact that it is so easy to wear and you can just throw that on whenever and wherever without thinking much or when you are confused on what to wear, coz A) Denim always works B) Shirt dresses are quite IN C) It is very comfortable D) The drawstring at the waist defines your waist and body E) It has pockets! (Duh..you need any more reasons? :p)

I had initially thought of pairing them with my white Vans canvas shoes, but then I couldn’t find them in a hurry and went for my current favourites, these super cute adorable animal ballet flats. It has a kitten on one shoe and a puppy on the other, the contrast makes it all the more cuter 😀 And since these are black and white, they would work with a lot of outfits. The fact that they cost less than $4 makes it all the more good :p Though shipping cost would be added, I have mentioned the links below. But white canvas shoes would definitely look great too, coz white always works with denims.

When I posted this pic on Instagram, most of you asked me about my shoes, so here you go 🙂

I paired it with my orange bucket bag, though it is not seen in the pictures here. And wore this gold watch from the new Swatch F/W 2015 collection.

OOTD: Palm Print Crop Top, Denim Joggers

Hi guys,

Time for a new OOTD 🙂 I got this palm print peach crop top from Koovs, it is from Spring Break. I love quirky prints (remember this pineapple print crop top) and light, pastel colors, peach being one. This was again a perfect combination of color + print in a crop top like the pineapple print one, so I grabbed it 😀

And another favourite of mine are these denim jogger pants. These are very loose and so comfortable, it is like wearing denim but still not feeling like denim. These are from StalkBuyLove and called ‘Uber Kool Tencel Pants’. They run slightly loose and hence my normal size is also quite loose for me, so order accordingly.

I completed the look with my current favourites shoes, the silver loafers from Forever 21, black fringed bag and my Daniel Wellington watch.

I wore this look for the Clinique Face Forward Lunch.

OOTD: 3 Outfits I Wore Recently

I am back with the 3 casual outfits’ post. See more HERE and HERE.

This time, I covered three outfits which I wore to events/meets recently.

Outfit 1:

It is the same outfit I wore HERE, this time with different accessories and bag. I love this floral midi skirt and since it has red roses, this red crop top matches perfectly with the skirt.

I paired it with a simple gold statement necklace and my Daniel Wellington watch. The highlight of this outfit is this beautiful Suede by Devina Juneja wristlet. The Shaded Ring Weave Wristlet is made with lightly hand-shaded leather in subtle gold and silver. I love the shaded ombre effect and the gold chain is perfect to replace your bracelet. It is easy to carry around and looks so pretty.

Outfit 2:

The 2nd and 3rd are more casual ones, I am loving my new Levi’s 711 Skinny and living in them practically. I love how these are super comfortable. I always stayed away from skinny jeans coz I am neither thin nor tall for the skinny jeans to look good on me, Levi’s changed it all for me! I still can’t believe this skinny jeans not only flatters my body but make my legs look slender and nice. This is the first skinny jeans I absolutely love and they have other ranges like 311  Shaping Skinny and 312 Shaping Slim which look even more flattering and I can’t wait to try those.

I paired the skinny with my simple white tee and a black and beige Himachal print jacket. The jacket is currently on sale and only worth Rs.448/-! It is perfect for your dresses too and adds a light layer and keeps you warm. Since the entire look was more or less monochrome, I added a bright pop of color with my current favourite orange bucket bag. Bucket bags are back, ladies! I love how this bag is huge and fits my world in it (including my camera) and I carry it along comfortably. I love the orange and golden tassels hanged on the straps. The only thing is, I wish it came with a longer strap too, which usually comes with a bucket bag and makes it more convenient to carry. I finished the look with gold strappy flat sandals by Do Bhai from Myntra.

Outfit 3:

The third one is a simple, everyday outfit. A basic aztec print top with roll over sleeves, paired with Levi’s 711 Skinny again. I completed the look with a Daniel Wellington watch, black fringed bag and black studded ballerinas.

OOTD: Crop Top,White Culottes

Hey guys,

An OOTD post today.I love culottes in monsoons coz they don’t get dirty from the bottom plus they dry out pretty quickly unlike denims. So culottes are your best bet in the rains. Also they give the look of a skirt with the feel of pants :p I had styled a pair of floral culottes last monsoon HERE.

This time it is a pair of white culottes and I went with a crop top. I love how the coral red crop top works with the white culottes. I was not too pleased with the fit of the culottes, but as the size increases so does the length and since I am short, it somehow clashes :/ I accessorized with a nice, chunky statement neck piece and let that be the showstopper of the outfit.

A simple gold midi ring, watch and brogues to complete the look.

OOTD: Red Lips Embroidered Dress

Hi guys,

A new OOTD today..I wore this pretty red lips embroidered dress last Saturday when we went to Prime Time Sports Bar and also it was my niece’s 2nd birthday 🙂

I love how simple and effortless this dress is,yet glams you up instantly. I paired it with a simple gold choker necklace and a simple Daniel Wellington watch and a set of rings.

Completed the look with this black fringes bag and studded black ballerinas.

Since it was quite dark and the lighting was not that good, some pics look a bit harsh. Also, I am wearing the L’Oreal Paris 24H Powder Foundation and hence the whitish cast, see I told you.

OOTD: Orange Lace Dress, Floral Blazer

Hi guys,

If you read the previous post, you know we had been for lunch yesterday at The Trident, BKC. We also ended up shooting the outfit since I loved the decor.

 

I wore this pretty orange lace dress which can also be worn off shoulder, but since I had layered it with a blazer, I wore it normally. I absolutely love the fit and how it hugs the waist and gives a shape and is not like a shift dress. Plus orange and yellow are my favourite colors <3

I wore this very light, floral blazer on top. It is so light, that I could comfortably wear it in these summers too. (obviously with the AC indoors) Since the dress and blazer are all bright and colorful, I skipped the accessories and kept the bag and shoes neutral.

So, I paired the outfit with my favourite Michael Kors sling (which you guys are bored of seeing now, but I am too lazy to change bags :D) and another current favourite, these tan brogues. Also added, a classic Daniel Wellington watch.

OOTD: I Am Back 🙂

Hey guys,

I am back, up and going now. I can do all the basic stuff and would be going back to my place with hubby 🙂 Only I cannot walk fast or climb steps quickly as of now. Also I am not supposed to wear heels for 2-3 more months. So I am buying lots of flats, reasons to shop 😉 And back with a new outfit post. A monochrome and androgynous outfit but with a twist, the twist is the blouse has cute bow cut offs on the sleeves.

The trousers were quite loose for me, but I did not bother exchanging them as they were very comfortable! Though I would get a few alterations done to it.

I paired this monochrome outfit with my new metallic gold Vans with tassels on the sides ! Say hello to my new Vans!

I know the pics are not very clear..I just discovered yesterday that my new DSLR lens was also dashed from the front and the zoom got stuck, as we were carrying it with us on the day of the accident. I have given it for repair at the service center, I hope it starts working properly again 🙁
