This time for the last month of the year and being a party season, the theme was ‘Extraordinaire- You’re A Star’. Also the products were 6 instead of the usual 3 and all are pretty amazing and perfect for the party season.
MRP: $29 (Buy HERE) If you buy the monthly subscription, it’s only $12 per month
Talking about the products I received in the December box, and mind you all are 3/4th of the full sized products which is amazing!
Products:
Party Mascara Glitter Gel- It’s a metallic rose gold mascara which can be used on the tips of the lashes for a party look or even on the eyebrows as the glitter/metallic eyebrows trend is quite IN right now
Presence Eye Liner- It’s a shimmery champagne colored eye pencil which will work as a highlight under the brow bone, in the inner corners or even on the waterline. I love using this on my waterline and it did not irritate my eyes.
BYOB(eauty) Lip Gloss- Again a beautiful, shimmery rose gold lip gloss. It is non sticky, pigmented and perfect. The size is perfect for handbags.
Darling Blush- A shimmery, super pigmented copper red blush. It can double up as an eyeshadow.
Century Metallic Cream Eye Shadow- My favourite in this kit, it’s a shimmery metallic grey cream eyeshadow. It does crease and needs a primer and shadow on top.
Pure Lip Gloss- This is very unique, a super pale lip gloss which has a hint of lavender and it looks lavender on the lips. Quite a different color.
All the 6 products are super interesting and unique and not something I have in my stash, I love how Starlooks always comes up with new stuff and a new theme every month. I definitely recommend the Starlooks subscription as getting 3-5 products every month which are 3/4th the size and at $12 is quite a steal, also like this month, you may get 6 products at times 😀
The value of the products in this month’s box are $72 which you can get for $12 if subscribed or if you want to buy just this month, it’s still $29.
If you remember the previous month’s My Envy Box, it was a bomb!! It was the best My Envy Box I had ever received. So I had very high expectations from this month’s My Envy Box, did it stay upto the expectations? Read on to know..

I received September’s My Envy Box today, and I also filmed a video and edited it all today 🙂
This month’s box is a silver colored one. It has the September card and the product details card, which has a few makeup tips on the back side of the card.
Let’s look into the contents:
Za Total Hydration Fresh Foamy Cleanser 5g sample- Full size Rs.299/- for 100g
Davidoff Cool Water Shower Gel 75ml- Full size Rs.1800/- for 150ml
Catrice Ultimate Shine Lip Colour in What’s Apricot Full size- Rs.610/- for 3.5g
Trussardi Donna perfume vial 1.5ml
This time there is just one full sized product i.e. the lipstick, one super deluxe sized sample i.e Davidoff Cool Water Shower Gel which is half the original size and two tiny samples which I am not too happy with.
The cleansing foam is only worth Rs.299/- and not something very expensive, so a sample size of at least 20g could have been included. I don’t like perfume samples in subscription boxes or bags, though this one smells nice, but you can get such tiny samples for free at the brand counters.
My Catrice lipstick was a nice, everyday n*de shade and good to pair with smokey eyes, but it has melted and broken from the base and got damaged in transit :/
Overall I would say this month’s box is pretty ok, I am not too pleased. My expectations were sky high after the super amazing box last month. I would suggest you buy it only if you like the Davidoff Cool Water and the Catrice lipstick.
The price of the lipstick i.e. Rs.610/- and the shower gel i.e. Rs.900/- is a total of 1500/- which is decent for a box worth Rs.722/- (post discount)
I hope your lipstick remains intact though 🙂
Buy the box HERE, also you can use the coupon code ‘NEWLOVEMAKEUP‘ during checkout to get extra 15% off, which would bring down the cost of the box to Rs.722/-!
Did you get your September My Envy Box? Which lipstick shade did you get?

I am reviewing this month’s The Big Gourmet Box today.
About the box: This month’s box is filled with the superheroes of the food world – Superfoods . You’ve heard the word countless times but should you really include them in your daily diet? Yes! These foods are calorie sparse and nutrient dense; meaning they pack a lot of punch for their weight as far as goodness goes. Our Heros!
ProAgri Black Chia Seeds
Satvikk Dried Goji Berries
i2cook Organic Coconut Sugar
The Green Snack Co. Kale Chips
The box is a huge one, they generally have 4 to 6 products every month in the big box along with a recipe and product information card. This month it has a granola bar recipe which can be made with all the items in the box.
It was well bubble wrapped and all the individual items in it were also well packed.
I was really keen on trying the The Green Snack Co. Kale Chips, they are not baked, not fried and this one is Cheese and Onion Flavour. There are 2 other flavours it is available: Thai Sweet Chilli and Sea Salt and Vinegar, would love to try those too. In Cheese and Onion, the onion taste overpowers the Cheese.
Dried Goji Berries make a nice snack, something to munch on, in between and also a good addition to granola bars or parfait or the likes. Black Chia seeds are very, very healthy and perfect to top on so many dishes. You get all your iron and calcium content here.
If you are on diet or have a diabetes issue, you can try out the i2cook Organic Coconut Sugar which is natural, healthy and unprocessed. It can be added to any dish for that hint of sweetness plus a coconut tinge.
I love the fact that we have something like The Gourmet Box in India where all the natural, exotic stuff is available at the click of your finger and you get it delivered at the comfort of your home. We always had this issue, of not able to find half the ingredients we need in a dish in India easily. Well, now we can! Just looking at the exotic list of items they stock, makes me want to buy the whole site.
Coming to the box, the total cost of these 4 items included in the box is Rs.1115/- whereas the cost at which the box is sold is Rs.1500/- They also have a ‘make your own gourmet box’ option where in you can include the products you want in the box, and the box itself costs Rs.300/- This is something which I found a little costly. I did not get why the cost of the box should be so high and included in the total cost. This box would have done amazingly well if priced at Rs.999/- or even Rs.1099/-, coz I can always go and order these 4 items individually, right? Why would I even need the box which costs Rs.300/-, of course if you want to gift it to someone, then its fine.
Other than that, I think the concept is nice, and I am going to shop a few items soon from the site, but individually, of course. Overall, I would say, I loved the website and the items they stock. I loved the box as such, but not very happy with the pricing. I hope they lower the price, and there would many more subscribers. The quarterly and 6 month subscriptions are at a discount though, but still nothing covers the huge premium of the box.
What do you think of The Gourmet Box? Have you tried any such subscription before?
