Glamorous 12 Color Eye Shadow Palette ‘St. Tropez’- Swatches, Review& EOTD Review by Lee
Hi Girls,
Today I’m going to review a 12 eyeshadow palette which super super affordable from a brand called Glamorous. I got it in the shade ‘St. Tropez’ and lets start with the review
Product Description Glamorous 12 Color Eye Shadow is the perfect way to try out that hot new look! Each palette has four exciting color schemes and is offered in a variety of combinations. Our eye shadow is specifically designed for every woman’s unique skin complexity. Applicator included for on-the-go touchups.
Price: $6 for 10gms
Packaging The palette comes in a rectangular plastic packaging with a transparent lid on top. Inside it contains 12 eyshadows with a double ended sponge applicator. The applicator is pretty ‘meh’ but it is good enough to be used for touch ups. The packaging does feel a little flimsy but shuts tightly so you can easily carry it in your purse
Texture & Shades The texture of the eyeshadows is pretty much a mixed bad. The darker color are very soft and smooth while the lighter shades are a very hard and gritty. Its hard to get enough product on the brush to apply it so I’m not at all happy with the texture.
The palette contains a gorgeous array of shades from pretty neutrals to pinks, purples and light blues. You can easily create a complete eyemakeup look as it has lid colors, darker crease shades as well as highlighting shades
Pigmentation & Staying Power Oh God! The pigmentation of these is absolutely terrible. The swatches you see in the pic are the result of hard labour of swatching them again and again! :p I think I must’ve swiped them 5-6 times to make them show up on my skin. Only the orange and purples are decently pigmented but the rest just do not show up!These do have better pigmentation with a base underneath but it still requires alot of effort to work with these.
It also lacks in staying power which is such a huge bummer coz I really liked the shades in this palette. It stays put for 2-3 hours after which it totally vanishes. I have’nt applied these without a base because umm they just don’t show up :p
Pros
1)Has a nice variety of shades 2)Comes with a sponge applicator easing touch ups 3)Super Cheap
Cons 1)Gritty and hard texture 2)Bad Pigmentation 3)Bad Staying Power
Recommended? Umm no! Sure the palette is very cheap but it is very hard to work with. It pretty much lacks in all aspects and I can’t recommend this at all.
Editor’s note: Ooo..sad that its lacks in pigmentation and staying power..the shades are gorgeous and it would have been an awesome palette if pigmented..but loved your EOTD !

Avon Simply Pretty Valentine Brights ColorBliss Lipstick VCB 03 Fresh Rose Swatches, Review & LOTD By Lee
Hello Beauties,
Today I’m going to review a beautiful lipstick from Avon which is extremely affordable and of high quality. The lipstick in question is Avon Simply Pretty ‘Fresh Rose’.
Product Description:
•Blissful medium to full color finish with added natural moisturizing complex that help retain moisture and improve suppleness •Contains Vitamin E •Glides on smoothly, makes lips look instantly softer and smoother •Feels lightweight and non-sticky
Price: Rs 169/- for 4gms
Packaging The lipstick is packaged in a bright purple packaging with the shade name mentioned at the bottom. The bullet of the lipstick has ‘LOVE” embossed on it which looks oh so cute. The cap of the lipstick shuts tightly making it travel friendly. I’m not necessarily fond of the packaging but at this price I can’t complain.
Shade Fresh Rose looks very brown in the bullet but upon swatching it is a beautiful rosy pink with a hint of brown. This is one shade that will suit every complexion beautifully and I’ve fallen in love with the shade.
Texture The lipstick is extremely creamy and soft. It adequately hydrates my dry lips and applies evenly. Despite the creamy texture it does not bleed or feather. After a few hours it does tend to settle into fine lines so make sure you apply a lip balm underneath.
Pigmentation & Staying Power Fresh Rose is well pigmented and 2 swipes gives a good color pay off. It will easily cover pigmentation of lips and you can always tone it down by blotting it.
The staying power is superb and it stays put for 4-5 hours. It easily survives small meals and snacks but does require a touch up after a full meal. I didn’t expect such high staying power considering its price and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
Pros 1.A beautiful rosy pink that will suit all complexions 2.Creamy and moisturizing texture 3.Well pigmented 4.Superb staying power 5.Extremely affordable Cons
1)Only available through Avon reps
Rating: 4.5/5
Final Recommendation: Avon’s Fresh Rose is a beautiful rosy pink and will flatter all complexions. It has a nice creamy texture with good staying power. Also, it is extremely affordable and I highly recommend it!
Editor’s Note: I think the shade is fab and looks awesome on you Lee.
What the Company claims: Lakmé CC stands for Complexion Care cream. It combines the goodness of your daily skin cream with just the right touch of make-up to give you that perfect look in just a few minutes.
Its skin care benefits include sun protection (SPF 20), moisturizing, brightening and freshness while its make-up benefits are an even skin tone and basic coverage.
MRP: Rs.250/- for 30g
Shades Available: Beige and Bronze
How to use:
Ingredients:
It comes in a nice attractive gold and pink tube packaging..and it can be seen and felt that the quantity is good enough too..it does not squeeze inside the cap and is very much travel friendly.
It has a light floral smell..and one needs only a pea sized amount of this..and the coverage it provides is pretty good..much better than other tinted moisturisers in the market..I would say more than Maybelline, Revlon and Garnier BB and almost equal to the Ponds and L’oreal BB..here I compared them all 😀
Its not that moisturising..and tends to give a matte look..oily skinned beauties would love this..I feel a need to use a separate moisturiser..if I don’t, it clings to dry patches.
And the shade Beige is a little lighter for me..in this pic below I have used Beige..Bronze is slightly darker for me..I really feel there should have been one more mid shade in between the two and that would have worked perfectly for me..Beige would suit NC 30-35 and Bronze would suit NC 40-42. The mid people should have been thought of..are you listening Lakme ??
Pros:
1. Lovely packaging.
2. Economical.
3. Pretty good coverage.
4. A good enough quantity.
5. Gives a semi matte finish..great for oily skinned girls.
6. Stays for 5-6 hours after which a slight touch up is needed.
7. Has SPF 20..though not much..but little added protection.
Cons:
1. Cannot skip a moisturiser..clings to dry patches.
2. Beige is lighter and Bronze is darker..a mid shade is surely required !
Overall I would say its pretty good..and a boon for girls with oily skin…I guess Bronze would be a shade high in demand..and would suit most of the girls..a perfect daily use CC cream to your rescue. Recommended !
Rating:
Quality: 3.75/5
Value for money: 4/5

Overall Rating: 3.75/5
Would I buy it again: Yes..I think I will have to mix Beige and Bronze and use :p I wish they come up with a mid shade, though I doubt that :/

Available in 6 shades: Coral Sunset, Rust Crush, Neon Pink, Pink Pout, Burgundy Burn and Berry Cherry
MRP: Rs. 700/- (5.9 ml)
It comes in a normal lip gloss packaging..with the shade name on the side..the applicator is pretty good and easy to use.
These are super duper pigmented..feel like lipstick in a liquid form..glide on well..are non sticky..but hydrating. Stay on for a good 3-4 hours leaving behind a pretty stain.
Berry Cherry is a rich cherry red shade…
Here is it on me..
And here are swatches of other Lakmé Absolute Gloss Stylist..
Pros:
1. Super Pigmented. 2. Opaque in one coat. 3. Non sticky. 4. Stays for 3-4 hours. 5. Comes in pretty 6 shades.
Cons:
1. Expensive at 700 bucks. 2. Does transfer a little when freshly applied.
Overall, I would say these are amazing highly pigmented non sticky glosses..though these are expensive..but if you really like a shade, these are definitely worth a try.
I also like Burgundy Burn and Coral Sunset shades.

Maybelline Color Show Nail Paints Review, NOTD Sorry for being MIA..my PC issues plus one of my cousin is getting engaged this Saturday and we have a dancing function too..so need to practice these 4-5 days after office :p And today, I got terrible cold suddenly..nose and eyes watering so much 🙁

MRP: Rs.75/- for 6ml
Shades Available : 40
These come in a small cute round bottle..the brush is amazing..super easy to use..they apply streak free and they come in different finish..matte, glossy, metallic, clear top coat..
And the best part, they stay ! It stayed on me for about 6 days before some minor chipping on the tips..
215 Keep Up The Flame is an amazing glossy pinky red.
503 Denim Dash is a matte denim blue with blue shimmer.
221 Buried Treasure is a beautiful bronze brown with hint of olive green duochrome with gold shimmer..my favorite of the lot ! It has a metallic kinda finish. I loved this shade..quite unique.
These are so good for different nail art too..only glitch is when layered for nail art, they take forever to dry..though individually they dry sooner..and did not work when different finish is combined for nail art..like the glossy one did not show up on matte.
Pros:
1. Economical. 2. 40 shades to choose from. 3. Different finishes. 4. Cute round packaging. 5. Easily available. 6. Dries quickly. 7. Easy to use brush. 8. Stays for 6+ days ! 9. Formaldehyde, DBP and Toluene free
Cons:
1. Some finish when combined do not work for nail art. 2. Takes time to dry when layered for nail art..though not individually.
I loved the fact that both the price and quantity is lower..coz its easy to finish up 6ml than those 15ml bottles..and saves on price too..plus we get to try more shades at the same rate..
I am in love with these..every shade I see..I fall in love with it 😀
Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Foundation- Illuma Flair with SPF 15 (Olive Beige) Review, Swatches
Review by Agnibanya
Product Claims: Kiss harsh, unforgiving lighting goodbye forever! Light-diffusing Illuma Flair™ Complex blurs imperfections, evening out skin tone and giving a natural, yet flawless result wherever you are. Its weightless formula feels wonderful on the skin, and leaves it feeling moisturized, looking luminous and free from shine. SPF 15.
No. Of shades available: 5

MRP: INR 598/30 ml
The Oriflame Beauty Studio Artist Foundation Illuma Flair is a liquid foundation that comes in a tube packaging with a screw top lid.
The foundation has light runny texture that makes it a little difficult to control the amount of product that is dispersed and also makes the cap messy no matter how careful you are. But because of the consistency, it is very light to wear and easy to blend and you can get even finish even with fingers.
Swatch, Unblended, Blended
The coverage is very light and it is almost like a tinted moisturizer. The shade I have with me is Olive Beige which is light for my NC 43 skin but thankfully it doesn’t have very cool undertones and that is why even though it’s not a perfect match for my skin, it doesn’t appear ashy. It feels slightly sticky after application but dries down quickly.
It gives a dewy finish to the skin and therefore makes the skin look healthy and youthful; however, since I have some blemishes, I use it after applying concealer to the area where I need to cover marks or patchiness. On its own it stayed for 6+ hrs on my skin, but when topped with a setting powder, I get upto 9 hrs of wear.
Pros:
1. Light on skin 2. Easy to blend 3. Great for normal to combination skin, doesn’t emphasize dry areas, covers pores 4. Great on budget as you can easily get it on discount. 5. Neutral undertones, neither too cool nor too warm. 6. SPF 15.
Cons:
1. Very light coverage, doesn’t hide marks/pigmentation 2. Those who are fond of mattifying foundations might not like this.

Revlon Photoready BB Cream, Photoready 3D Volume Mascara and Photoready Kajal Review, Swatches, FOTD
Revlon Photoready BB Cream Skin Perfector SPF 30
What the Company claims: A lightweight, multi-benefit Beauty Balm that combines skincare, makeup, and sunscreen into one step. – HYDRATES like moisturizer – SMOOTHES like primer – COVERS like foundation – BLURS FLAWS like concealer – PROTECTS with SPF 30 like sunscreen

Ingredients:
MRP: Rs.550/- for 30ml
It comes in a silver flat tube packaging with a black cap..and a nozzle dispensor..
Its quite thick like a foundation and is very moisturising..would work for people with dry skin..for oily skin, this would turn out to be rich…coverage is pretty ok..suitable for daily use when you don’t need heavy coverage.
It has SPF 30 and many sunscreen ingredients..it also smells a little like sunscreen..stays on for 4-5 hours after which needs touch up..since I am combination skin..my T-zone gets oily and needs touch up.
I have the shade 020 Light/Medium which is a good match for me..
Pros:
1. Nice packaging. 2. Has SPF 30 3. Perfect for dry skin. 4. Travel friendly. 5. Good for daily use..and covers sunscreen needs too.
Cons:
1. Rich for oily skin. 2. Expensive compared to other BB Creams in the market. 3. Coverage could have been better.
Overall I would say its nice to try if you have dry skin and do not need much coverage..otherwise can skip.

Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black
What the Company claims: Get glamorous, big volume lashes from every angle Lashes look 100% more magnified, multiplied, amplified*. Award winning. *with two coats
Unique ultra reflective Mirror Sheen formula smoothes, reflects and magnifies every lash for dramatic, professional looking lashes.
Lash finding brush with rounded tip easily reaches every single lash for maximum dimension. Available in 2 waterproof shades: Blackest Black and Blackened Brown
Also available in 3 non–waterproof shades: Blackest Black, Black and Blackened Brown
EXPERT TIPS
How to get glamorous, big volume lashes: 1) Apply the mascara to the upper lashes from root to tip 2) Apply once again in order to build more volume and length 3) Use specially designed lash finding brush tip to capture and fan out every lash
Ingredients:
MRP: Rs.695/- for 10ml
The tube and wand comes separately in the packaging. As you can see the white wand..bristles are separate and dense.
The same way as the wand is..it separates each lash and coats each lash well..and also lengthens and combs my lashes..the wand is flexible and easy to use and get the right amount of mascara on it..the blackest black is quite a rich black color..and this stays on for whole day..and is waterproof…but did not give much pain to remove.
It does not weigh down my lashes and also gives a little curl and holds onto the curl if you have used an eyelash curler.
I really like this..I am also asked by a few if I am wearing false lashes when I have this mascara on 😀
Only issue is if 2nd coat is applied after the first dries, it starts clumping at times. So you need to apply 2 coats (if you want) quickly and let it dry later. And it feels a little dry on the lashes. And it sure is a little expensive.

Blue Nile has a creamy ink blue on one end and a creamy white on the other..I am not a fan of such blues..they look pathetic on me :/
I liked the white for the waterline though I would prefer nudes as they are more subtle..can used white at times for a few looks..
Both ends are creamy and do not tug or pull..the blue stays whole day on the upper lashline with minimal smudging..on lower lashline it wears off in 5-6 hours. When blue is used on the lower lashline, it mixes with the white in the waterline and does not look good..I would prefer using the darker color on the upper lashline only.
I would like to try the Black or Emerald (for the nude liner side). Blue is not my color.

MRP: Rs.550/- for 30ml
Ingredients:
Shades Available: N1 Ivory, G2 Gold, G1 Honey I have the G2 Gold which is the medium one and a perfect match for most of us..the other two are extremes..light and dark.
It comes in a nice gold and cream tube packaging with a small nozzle dispensor..
I like the light floral smell..and its quite light in texture and in coverage too..it blends well and absorbs into the skin..and moisturises well. Blogger is making all pics look weird somehow..no idea why :/
Unblended, Blended
The coverage is good and can be builded up..I usually blend in the extra on my problem areas and I am sorted..also it gives a whitish cast coz of SPF 35..and stays for 4-5 hours..after which needs some touch up on the T-zone.
Pros:
1. Hydrating and moisturising. 2. Light in texture and blends well. 3. SPF 35 PA+++..covers your sunscreen needs. 4. Comes in 3 shades..Neutral would work for most of us. 5. Chic packaging. 6. Gives a semi matte finish. 7. Contains apricot kernel oil, coriander fruit oil, jojoba seed oil, passiflora edulis seed oil, macadamia ternifolia seed oil and Vitamin E. 8. Good coverage.
Cons:
1. Expensive compared to other BB creams in the market and for the 30 ml qty. 2. Stays for 4-5 hours and needs touch up later.
Overall I do like it..only issue is the whitish cast..it would suit dry skin more..and those who need less coverage..its a little on the expensive side though…but surely worth a try.

New Maybelline 12H Colossal Kajal Review, Swatches
I had reviewed the Maybelline Colossal Kajal previously HERE. Now they have relaunched it in a darker and more long staying form..the previous one claimed 6 hours of wear and this one claims 12 hours..
Read on to know how it fares..
What the Company claims:
MRP: Rs.175/- for 0.35g
The packaging is the same..the same yellow swivel up mechanical pencil. Its nice, rich black and easy to apply..does not tug or pull.
Thats the whole qty
I did not like the previous one much..as it did not stay longer on my watery eyes..in fact no kohl stays longer than 2-3 hours on me..
But but this one did ! For almost 5-6 hours which is a very good thing considering my watery eyes. But it does smudge a little more than the previous one..that did not spread around giving raccoon eyes..this one does at times..
Here is the swatch..
L: Swatch R: After smudging
And on eyes..
Before, After
Pros:
1. Its nice dark black.
2. Glides on nicely..no tugging or pulling.
3. Reasonably priced.
4. Stays for 5-6 hours on my watery eyes ! Thats a long time for me 😀
5. It does not go away completely leaving your eyes bare..and there is always a hint of it till the time you remove it.
6. Does not smear much..the swatch did not budge from the hand.
Cons:
1. Claim of 12 hours..I am not really sure about.
2. No Ingredients mentioned.
3. Does give raccoon eyes at times..especially when eyes watery.
