Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Sorbet Review, Swatches

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter 053 Sorbet Review, Swatches

First of all, I am engaged now 😮 The function was smooth and good..loved Neeraj’s makeup 🙂 Mehndi came out good..Would share more professional pics as soon as I receive them..may be a week..

Lets get on to the review of my favorite pink lipstick currently..

What the Company claims: A savoir for lips during cold winter months or dry summer days, Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter contains a combination of Mango, Shea and Coconut Butter to naturally soothe lips while giving a touch of color that outshines any dull day.

Pampering gel formula glides on lips buttery smooth and hydrates lips
94% of women saw a difference in their lip moisturization
Medium coverage color with a high shine finish
Mango Butter, Shea Butter and Coconut Butter naturally boosts lip moisture
Gives balm like feel to lips, making lips feel soothed, pampered, and conditioned
Naturally fragrant with Vanilla Absolute

SHADES: 15 delicious shades: Pink Truffle, Raspberry Pie, Tutti Frutti, Brown Sugar, Peach Parfait, Fig Jam, Candy Apple, Red Velvet, Cotton Candy, Berry Smoothie, Cherry Tart, Lollipop, Strawberry Shortcake, Sugar Plum, Sweet Tart.

They have launched three new shades: Sorbet, Juicy Papaya and Wild Watermelon..I guess there is one more Pink Lemonade which they have not launched here..

M.R.P: Rs. 600/- for 2.55g

It comes in silver packaging with a pink or purple transparent cap wit criss cross pattern. The qty of 2.55g is as much as your pinky finger !

These are super glossy and hydrating..though sheer but are buildable..the darker shades like Sorbet are quite pigmented..the gel formula gives a lip balm feel..so the effect is somewhere in between of a gloss and lip balm and a sheer lipstick..Sorbet stays for 3-4 hours..

Sorbet is a medium cool toned pink..very flattering on medium to fair skin..its such a prettyy pink..not as bright and neonish as the Fuchsias..nor the lighter daily wear pinks..something that would brighten up your face and still look subtle enough..this shade is a must have ! One of my favorite pinks..

T: 1 swipe, B: 2-3 swipes

Here is how it looks on me..

Maybelline Bold Matte Colorsensational Lipstick Review, Swatches

Maybelline Bold Matte Colorsensational Lipstick Mat 2 Review, Swatches

First of all thank you so much for all the wishes on this post and on facebook and mails..I am overwhelmed 🙂 Thanks a lot..

Coming to the review of the newly launched Maybelline Bold Matte Lipstick..
What the Company claims: Hydrating matte with honey nectar
o Moisturising agents like rosa canina oil and jojoba oil
o Powderless matte pigments ensure true vivid shades

5 trendy vibrant shades in a brilliant matte texture

Read more HERE

MRP: Rs.375/- for 3.9g

Ingredients:

It comes in the normal silver Colorsensational packaging but with a sheer red cap..has a fruity watermelon smell..

But first thing to be noticed is, its not matte ! I am not aware why these are claimed to be matter..these are quite creamy and glossy..super pigmentation..these can be builded to a super opaque color..and I love the staying power !! It stays for almost 5-6 hours and then leaves behind a nice coral pink stain.

Mat 2 is a reddish peachy coral..but not neonish or in your face..I love how it makes my teeth looks white and brightens my whole face instantly..I can easily skip a lip balm too with this..coz its quite moisturising..

Here is it on me..please excuse me dry lips..I have to speak whole day since I teach and its taking a toll on me of late :/

Pros:

1. Super pigmented.
2. Comes in 5 bright shades.
3. Moisturising…I do see jojoba oil, etc on the ingredients list..
4. Has a glossy finish which settles for a slightly semi matte one later.
5. Love the staying power..stays for 5-6 hours and leaves behind a pretty stain.
6. I like how the color flatters my skin tone and brightens my face and smile..a perfect reddish coral.
7. Economical.

Cons:

1. Claimed as matte..its not matte.
2. Not transfer proof.
3. I would have preferred different colored caps to distinguish the shades and also giving them names would have been better instead of mat1, mat2, etc

Overall I love them as lipsticks and totally love the shade..if it were not claimed as matte..then it would have been better. Checking out the red and pink too.

If you like bright, long staying yet moisturising lipsticks, you will surely love these. But if you were expecting these to be matte, then skip it.

Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color Peony Goal Review, Swatches

Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color Peony Goal Review, Swatches

I had mentioned about the new Lakme 9 to 5 Office Stylist Range HERE

Peony Goal is one of the lipsticks from this new range..

What the Company claims: Lakmé 9 to 5 range consists of a wide collection for daily office wear with subtle shades that require no touch-ups through the day, providing an impeccably styled look and allowing a hassle-free transition from the desk to the office party.

Combines amazing comfort with staying power that keeps you looking fresh for hours. With a long-wearing comfort technology. Offers a creamy color with Colorfix technology. Ensures 10 hours of intense crème color.

MRP: Rs.400/- for 3.6g\

Shades Available:

15 shades bifurcated into reds & browns and pinks & mauves..

I quite love the rose gold packaging..chic case with slight rounded edges..and it clasps tight..I love the names too..ending with Goal, Slip, Break, Drill, Management, Play,etc..all corporate language..

Peony Goal is a mauve pink brown with gold shimmer..an everyday shade..quite close to MLBB..it has a soft matte finish..these glide on quite smoothly..and are super soft..

As these are meant for work..this shade is perfect for work wear..plus the soft matte finish is also quite formal..it has a sweet smell which goes away in a minute or so..

This shade stays on for 3-4 hours..I am a little disappointed with the staying power..since its the 9 to 5 range and is supposed to stay longer..but the deeper shades in this range seem to stay longer and leave behind a stain..

Here is how it looks on me..

Pros:

1. Soft matte finish…quite smooth in texture.
2. Chic packaging.
3. Economical
4. 15 shades to choose from.
5. Travel friendly..it clasps tight.
6. Though its matte..its not drying or uncomfortable on lips.

Cons:

1. I prefer it sans the shimmer.
2. Expected it to stay longer.

Overall I would say I loved the finish of these and the packaging too..I like this shade but sans the shimmer..I would surely check out other shades in this range..Do recommend it..especially for work wear..I would like to check out Pink Slip or Tea Break..

Sleek MakeUP i Divine i-Candy Palette Review, Swatches

Sleek MakeUP i-Divine Candy Collection  Limited Edition i-Candy Palette Review, SwatchesWhat the Company claims: Feast your eyes on i-Candy i-DIVINE containing sweet sorbet shades that look good enough to eat! Featuring summer’s playful popping hues of Palma violet, Bubble Gum, Mint Cream, Strawberry Sherbet and Apple Sour, in an assortment of three finishes including matte, shimmer and pearl. This tempting palette of sorbet hues and creamy sweeties awakens eyes and re-charges your look for the summer.

MRP: $9.99

As the name suggests Candy Collection, all the colors are pretty and candilicious 😀

A perfect mix of 12 matte, satin and frost shades..and a nice combination of colors..this palette is a must have if you like candy and sorbet shades..

It comes in a standard black Sleek MakeUP palette packaging with a mirror and a dual sided sponge applicator.

Matte shades are pretty good in this palette and have a decent pigmentation except a few.

Unfortunately one shadow broke during transit :/ But its so creamy, that I just pressed it down and it settled together.

First Row:

Strawberry Sherbet – Matte bright Barbie Pink
Bon Bon – Metallic Lilac Pink..I love the slight duochrome effect
Parma Violet – Matte Deep Violet
Apple Sour – Frost Neon Blue
Pear Drop – Frost Acid Green
Flump – Matte Bluish Purple

Second Row:

Liquorice – Matte grey black..not that pigmented..dry
Blue Fizzle – Metallic Denim Blue
Aniseed – Gold Pink..can double up as a blush..pretty shade
Bubblegum – Matte bright sea blue
Mint Cream – Matte mint green
Cream Soda – Metallic off white..nice highlighter for inner corners.

Few matte shades are not that pigmented..Overall its a nice mix of shades..though I am more of a neutral person..I like a pop of color at times..My favorites are Bon Bon, Aniseed, Flump and Parma Violet.

L’oreal Color Rich Le Vernis 208 So Chic Pink Review, NOTD

L’oreal Color Rich Le Vernis 208 So Chic Pink Review, NOTDI showed you the L’oreal L’Or Sunset Collection HERE. The shade So Chic Pink was a part of this collection.

What the Company claims: THE 1ST GEL BASED NAIL POLISH WITH A BUILT IN TOP COAT.With a formula that combines rich pigments, pearlescents and optical effects, L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Le Vernis offers an extensive collection of 49 modern and fashionable shades. The mini 5ml bottle allows every woman to mix and match her favourite hues from the range to complement her every mood, occasion and look.

An exceptional formula with a built-in Top Coat
The ultra-fine ingredients in the formula are combined in a liquid gel base, the Liquigel, so the polish glides on smoothly and easily during application and provides even coverage over the entire nail.
A patented brush
Delivers just the right dose of polish for a one-stroke application in which each stroke applies an even amount of product all along the nail.

MRP: Rs.225/- for 5ml

Being a gel based nail polish, the texture is definitely amazing..and super easy to use..does not get gloopy in 2nd or 3rd coat unlike the normal ones..

The brush is amazing !! I have never got such neat application with any nail polish ever..I loveee the brush.

With 2 coats, you get the perfect opaque coverage..and it stays well for 3-4 days but starts chipping from the tips first..though the rest stays on pretty long..almost 7-8 days.

Coming to the shade So Chic Pink, I think its a super pretty coral red..not a normal bright red and not neonish coral too…a perfect blend of two..and also I got compliments for this nail polish and 3-4 girls asked me which shade was that 😀

Only pinch I see is the price..for a small 5ml bottle, its definitely pricey 🙁 Though I so loved the texture , brush and staying power, I would be surely getting more of these 😀

MRP: Rs.650/- for 2.55g

I have a few of them with me..I am going to review some and some are going to be with a few lucky ones from you 😀 So, yes there is a contest coming up..

To start with, I love the packaging of these..the matching ends look pretty..and so does the swivel up bullet..but ends up getting on the edges :/

There are some totally matte and some with fine shimmer that give a slight glossy sheen..

I am reviewing Muse and Preview today..would be reviewing two more soon..

Muse

It has a sweet smell..which goes away in few seconds..the lipstick glides on smooth..and comes up sheer in one swipe and can be builded..and is completely opaque in 2-3 swipes..once set..it stays and stays put whole day..

Preview

It feels sticky on lips..and sets to a matte finish within an hour..and then looks like a pretty matte stain the whole day…I think this is by far the longest any lipstick has stayed on me..

T-B: Preview, Muse

Muse is a super pretty bright fuchsia pink..it brightens up my face and I soo love this shade..

Preview is a warm mauve pink with some shimmer..an everyday shade..something you can wear to your office too..

My only issue with this, is that it feels a little sticky and heavy on lips and fades unevenly at the end of the day.

You can see how Muse looks  on me after every 3 hours below..

L-R: On application, After 3 hours, After 6 hours

Pros:

1. Pretty packaging.
2. Super pretty shades..all 20..there is one for everyone.
3. Gives a nice matte polished look.
4. Stays put whole day !
5. Leaves a super pretty stain.
6. Does not smear or bleed.
7. Clasps tight and it clicks shut when swiveled up or down..travel friendly.

Cons:

1. Fades unevenly at the end of the day..vanishes from the centre.
2. Feels a little sticky and heavy.
3. Expensive..and that too qty is 2.55g 😮
4. Feels a little dry after 2-3 hours.
5. One needs a good cream based makeup remover to remove it completely.

Overall I would say its not the best long staying lipstick out there..but if you are someone on whom no lipstick stays for long (like me), this is definitely a welcome change. Only thing is you have to bear the little dryness and stickiness. But but I lovee the pretty shades..all pinks, corals, oranges, reds..especially the pinks are totally my kinds..love Muse !! I would say if you love any shade of these or you are the types who like long staying matte lipsticks, you should check these out..but do try it out at the counter and let it stay for an hour or so before buying..coz it flaked off on many and has mixed reviews.

Available in shades Rendez Vous, Irreplaceable, Crazy in Love, Runway, Justify and Broken Hearted

Ingredients:

MRP: £3.00

So after the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain and Lakme Pop Tint, I tried the MUA Power Pout..

Packaging wise its exactly like the Revlon Balm Stain..retractable packaging with a cap and shade wise outer body..and even has that peppermint smell..and cooling feeling..

Texture wise, its veryy balmy..super glossy..its so much like a balm..that it melts and breaks..as you can see..more balmy than the Clinique Chubby Sticks too..it even repairs chapped or dry lips..

But color wise, its not as sheer as the Chubby sticks..and more pigmented..and once the glossiness settles, it gives a nice color..and stays for 3-4 hours and leaves behind a stain..

Crazy in Love is a bright juicy raspberry shade with some shimmer..I just love it..how it looks all glossy and juicy on the lips…I do not have a shade as fresh and juicy as this, in my stash..

Pros:

1. Super balmy and moisturising..it even heals dry lips.
2. Pigmented..and leaves behind a stain..not sheer kinds.
3. Super affordable.
4. Decent quantity.
5. 6 shades to choose from.
6. Love the shade..very fresh and brightens up the face.
7. Does not settle in fine lines.
8. Has castor seed oil, jojoba oil, shea butter and waxes in ingredients..so obviously works great as a balm too.

Cons:

1. Available online.
2. Melts and breaks.

Overall I love these..I wanted to try one but now I regret not getting all :p These are super balmy yet pigmented..and super affordable..Highly Recommend !

Shades: Light, Medium and Dark

First of all, I never heard of Khuraira..and when they approached me for reviewing their primer and concealer, I checked their site and products..and they had some interesting and good stuff..and orange corrector always works for cutting dark circles…and they had an orange primer..which primes as well as corrects..so I was quite intrigued..and thought of trying it out..

T-B: Primer, Dark, Medium, Light

It is super creamyy in consistency..and a little thick..so needs to be blended well..but also thats a reason..it settles in fine lines under the eye..and also it needs to be set with a powder..

The Dark shade is not so dark..and would suit NC 37-40, Medium would suit NC 30-35 but has a pink undertone to it..and Light is wayy too light..probably for NC 20-25..I think the shades are not appropriate for all skin tones..and three are too less for people all over the world..with a vast range of tones..one is light…and one is not dark enough..

L-R: Without Concealer, With Concealer, With Primer and Concealer

For me, both Dark and Medium work well..I even mix the both at times..

It stays all day long when set with a powder..I love the coverage..I even use it for spots and blemishes..and it works great..the qty is amazing too..coz just a little bit is needed..and this would last forever..

Pros:

1. Amazing coverage.
2. Super creamy.
3. Stays all day long.
4. Quantity offered is very good..would stay forever.
5. Its not cheap..but for this quantity and quality, the price is justified.
6. Works on spots and blemishes too.
7. Gives a flawless under eye with both corrector and concealer.
8. Easy to use..I use it with my fingers too..but just needs to be blended well.

Cons:

1. Available online..you can buy it HERE
2. Needs to be set with a powder.
3. Settles in fine lines under the eye at times.

Overall I would say I am a fan of this ! I had read about the Khuraira orange primer in recommended products for dark circles online on the Vogue India website long back..and now after using this myself, I know why 😀 Its amazing..and more so for someone with prominent dark circles..I do not have deep circles to begin with and still I love the results..if you are someone who suffers from dark circles, I would highly recommend this primer and concealer..

Mickey Contractor had also come up with a concealer..where it had orange corrector on one side in his LE collection with MAC..

Basically..our dark circles have bluish purple undertones..and orange helps cut them..as its the opposite color in color wheel..and so orange base helps reduce the appearance of dark circles..followed by the concealer which completely covers it..

MRP: £25.00 (was £17.50 in sale) Approx Rs.2125/-

I love the concept of Frontcover kits..they have some pretty handy and amazingly combined kits..like Desk to Date, Party Queen, Kissogram, Moondance, etc..and they include everything from eyeshadows to lip gloss to applicators and brushes..

The True Colours Kit is a part of their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection..and I loved this kit the most out of all..and since these were at discounts when I bought it, a pretty good deal too..and they have reasonable shipping also..around £4..only hitch is I had to pay customs :/ God..this customs..I hate it 🙁

I am using this from the last 3-4 months..I know its very late..but then there are many things I have been using from more than a year and yet to review :p

Its shaped like a book..and made up of thick cardboard..and has plastic cover with the shadows shape so that it fits exactly and nothing gets spoilt..only issue is shadows and lip glosses can be mixed :/

Starting with the eyeshadows, the kit has 11 eye shadows..6 satiny baked and 5 matte normal..all are super pigmented..and smooth to touch and apply..even the matte ones..are pretty silky and pigmented..and all shadows are my type..taupes, greys, olive green, brown, peach, orange..I love all the shades in this kit..

These are all just one swipe of shadows in the swatches !

Then there are 5 lip glosses..which are more like lip creams..super creamy and pigmented and thick enough..two layers of it would give perfect opaque lipstick like coverage..only issue is except the last two shades..rest are too pale for our skin tone..

The two eyeshadow brushes are pretty good..the fluffy brush is like so multi tasking…works both for applying shadows and blending too..and a retractable lip brush too..the double ended mascara for upper and lower lashes..pretty decent..

Two nail polishes..one pale milky nude and one holographic blue..and a eye pencil..deep bluish steel grey with silver shimmer..has a smudger on one side..gives that soft smokey grey eye look 😀

All in all..this is a perfect travel palette..you may need a lipstick separately..but rest everything is in this kit..even the orange eyeshadow makes a pretty blush..if you dont want to carry one separately..

If you travel a lot..I did surely and highly recommend this palette..and even if you don’t, I will recommend it 😀 Coz this is total value for money..and excellent in terms of quality..you can check out other kits too..they have many different kits and variants..

I will do some EOTDs and looks with this kit..hopefully soon..
