Sinful Orange is a new addition in Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lip Colors..

Its a short chubby pencil with the matching shade color at the ends..it comes with its own sharpener..It is not like normal lip pencils..which are usually drier..this is more of a lipstick in pencil form..remember the Inglot AMC Lip Pencil..see HERE..those are matte and dry..this is creamy.

These Take Me As I am Lip Color Pencils are just like your moisturising lipsticks..they apply with ease..and are very comfy on lips without any dryness or heaviness..they give a glossy finish..which fades away after some time..but the color stays..it stays for a good 5-6 hours..and leaves behind a stain..

Sinful Orange is a bright yellow based orange…its a true sindoori orange..I cannot carry it fully opaque..I did try HERE, it ended up looking way too bright :/ I feel its quite similar to MAC Morange..and fairer and duskier girls..both extremes would rock this shade..I prefer a single swipe or layering/combining it with other shades..

Here is it on me..a single swipe..

Pros:

1. Moisturising and there is no dryness or heaviness.
2. Stay for a good 5-6 hours.
3. These pencils have a cute packaging and easy to carry along for touch ups too.
4. Comes with their own sharpener.
5. There are 9 shades available but there is something for everyone..an orange based red, a nude pink, peachy pink, pale pink, wine ,berry, nude brown, etc..
6. Matching ends to identify the shade in case you have more than one..

Cons:

1. Expensive !
2. Would finish off soon..since it needs to be sharpened and causes wastage too.

Check out the review and swatches of Flirtatious Pink HERE and check out all the swatches HERE

Overall I quite like these Take Me As I Am Lip Colors..a product which works both as a liner and lipstick and stays so well and is moisturising and can be carried along anywhere for touch ups..only this shade Sinful Orange is something I prefer wearing as a stain or combined..I think its a dupe of MAC Morange lipstick..

Lakme Absolute Lip Tint Pink Sorbet Review, Swatches, FOTD

Lakme Limited Edition Absolute Pop Tints Lip Tint Pink Sorbet Review, Swatches, FOTD
I had mentioned about the launch of Lakme Limited Edition Absolute Pop Tints Collection HERE. The colors are all summery and fresh and with a neon touch..

What the Company claims: Lakme Absolute Lip Tints include 8 pop shades. These thick creamy pencils deliver rich color and unbelievable shine in just a stroke.

Tip:
This is the best collection for the ones who want to look extra special this summer.

Why to choose Lakmé Absolute Lip Tints?
Rich color delivery
Unique 8 Pop Shades
Limited edition collection

Shades:

Pink Sorbet, Candy Kiss, Peach Please, Orange Tease, Berry Pink, Plum Rush, Grape Hint, Wine Punch

MRP: Rs.800/- for 2g

It comes in a black swivel packaging with a plastic cap…and limited edition engraved on it..and the shade name behind..I did not like the packaging much..the plastic cap is fragile..and cannot even identify the shades if you have more..

Its quite creamy..but not too balmy kinds..thick enough..but needs a few swipes to cover up pigmented lips well. It does not have any particular smell or taste..but does not glide well on dry lips..

It takes some time to settle on the lips..and within half an hour or so..its like settled well all over with a glossy sheen..the glossiness goes away in a hour or so..but lips feel moisturised and comfortable..and the stain stays for 3-4 hours..

Pink Sorbet is a light wearable candy pink with some shimmer..not too neonish or bright..its a fun summery shade..the shimmer is hardly visible..it looks frosty in the hand swatch but quiet wearable on lips..I quite like the shade..

T: 2 swipes, B: 1 swipe

These are less balmy but more pigmented than the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stains

Here is it on me..sorry for the flash..it got too dark by the time I clicked this pic :/

Pros:

1. Quite pigmented.
2. Comfortable on lips.
3. Stain stays for 3-4 hours..after the glossiness and color starts fading.
4. All bright pinks and oranges..neon colors..good for the young crowd.
5. Does not bleed.
6. Travel friendly..it does not mess up in the bag..as its not too balmy and soft kinds.
7. Settles to a smoother finish after half an hour..

Cons:

1. Does not glide well on dry lips.
2. Expensive..if the colors were targeted for the young crowd..the pricing should have been lower too..Revlon is 200 bucks lesser and offers 0.7g more.
3. I expected it to stay even longer.
4. Packaging is not good.
5. Limited Edition.

Overall these are nice..pigmented and glossy and has fun summery shades..but I would have definitely preferred a lesser price..and these are limited edition..so if you have a favorite shade..go grab it now..I am not sure if I would repurchase..but you can have one in your collection..

PRICE: Rs 339/-for 3.8g

It comes in a cylindrical tube packaging..I quite like the packaging..has a faint sweet smell..

Vital Copper
Wine Wellness

The formula is super glossy..it leaves the lips moisturised like a lip balm does..with one swipe you get a gloss like coverage..which can be builded more..

Stays for 3-4 hours..leaves behind a soft stain..I wish the staying power was better though..

L-R: Wine Wellness, Vital Copper- 1 swipe, 2 swipes

Vital Copper is a coppery brown..and Wine Wellness is a pretty pinky wine with silver shimmer..but the shimmer does not stray and is neither those chunky types..I quite like this shade..

L-R: Vital Copper, Wine Wellness

Pros:

1. Comes in many shades.
2. Super glossy and moisturising.
3. Goes opaque when builded..
4. Leaves a pretty stain behind.
5. Has SPF 15.
6. Many shades to choose from.
7. On offer mostly..so at around 249 or lesser they are pretty economical.
8. Does not accentuate fine lines.

Cons:

1. Does not stay for long..
2. Only available through Avon reps.

Overall I love how glossy these are..more like tinted lip balms..but which can be builded..and leaves a pretty stain behind..if you have dry lips, you would surely love these..

I am liking Pink Boost which is a pretty pink..and Enduring Sable..a pretty peachy coral..

Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lipstick Peach Blush Review, Swatches

FACES Ultime Pro Longwear Matte Lipstick 05 Peach Blush Review, Swatches

What the Company claims: Matte finish for the uber chic! A vivid color burst that lasts more than 8 hours. Enriched with Vitamin E and anti-aging oxidants. Creamy texture gives smooth, water proof high coverage. Available in a range of swanky shades.

Comes in 10 shades..

MRP: Rs.599/- for 2.5g

It comes in a long sleek matte packaging..quite chic..

Peach Blush is no peachy peach..its a dusty pink brown shade..an MLBB for me..very wearable..I guess it will look good on everyone..

The finish is semi matte..not as matte and drying as the Maybelline 14H Superstay but not those moisturising and creamy types too..but since this shade is light..it does not stay on for long..max 3-4 hours..and fades away later..

T: 2-3 swipes, B: 1 swipe

Here is it on me..

Pros:

1. Chic packaging.
2. Semi matte finish.
3. Stays for 3-4 hours..darker shades would stay on longer.
4. Very comfortable finish..non drying.
5. Peach Blush would suit everyone..an everyday wearable shade..to the office or anywhere..an MLBB for many.

Cons:

1. Qty offered is too less..just 2.5g 😮
2. Expensive for this qty.
3. All shades have same black packaging..no differentiation.
4. Lighter shades like these have less staying power.

Overall I do like the texture and finish..love the shade..I only wish it was priced lower..I notice everything in Ultime Pro range is priced high..I wonder why..and also the qty could have been a little more..atleast 3.5g..check this out at the store and try if it works for you..I am eyeing the shade Read My Lips..

BeautyUK Eye Pencils Review, Swatches, EOTD

BeautyUK Eye Pencils Review, Swatches, EOTD

I had mentioned about the new BeautyUK eye pencils range launch HERE

BeautyUK Simply Define Eyebrow pencil

What the Company claims: This year it’s all about the brows and these puppies are just what the doctor ordered. Perfectly weighted with a wooden body and defining brow brush, these richly pigmented pencils are the ideal artistic tools to create your defining eye look.

Available in grey, dark brown, auburn and ash brown – all at £1.99

I have the dark brown one which is perfect for our brows..it comes with a lash comb on the cap..I think its very good for travel..and when you do not have the time to carry your brow powder, wax, etc…this would ease your job..stiff enough for eyebrows..convenient to use and carry along..and cost effective too..

Long lasting twist eyeliner

What the Company claims: Featuring an integrated sharpener to keep things perfectly precise at all times, these long lasting, intensely pigmented pencils give full control and ultimate definition that won’t fade when you need it most.

Available in black, dark brown, grey, navy blue – all at £2.49

Its a twist up pencil with a sharpener on one end..I have the one in dark brown..its a reddish deep brown..it glides well, does not tug or pull and the color is pigmented too..but staying power again is average..

Jumbo double ended pencil

What the Company claims: A revelation in style and convenience – these dual use pencils give black eye liner precision on one end with a sumptuous smoothie of creamy, metallic eye shadow on the other. Ideal companions to take anywhere and create a seductive pop of colour to the eyes. These work perfectly as a base for building eye shadow to create your desired look.

Available in black/white, black/ grey, black/ beige, black/ turquoise – all at £2.99

I have the black/beige..the eyshadow is super creamy..its a coppery pink beige..and the eyeliner is thin tipped and rich jet black..both glide on super easily and are easy to use..make a good two minute eyeshadow..the only issue is the eyeshadow hardly stays..especially in hot humid weather..it just vanishes away..and the eyeliner also does not stay long on the waterline..though longer on the upper lashline..

I have used all three for an EOTD

Overall I would say these are good for daily use..and quite economical and travel friendly..I only wish they stayed longer..I am not impressed by their staying power..

Sleek MakeUP Lip4 Palettes Tease, Showgirl Review, Swatches

Sleek MakeUP Lip4 Lipstick Palettes Tease, Showgirl Review, Swatches

Newly launching on the 8th of May is Sleek MakeUP’s newest venture Lip4 Palettes.

There are 6 variations: Tease, Ballet, Show Girl, Siren and Mardi Gras will be available in selected Superdrug stores..Mardi Gras is limited edition and Havana is an online exclusive.

MRP: £8.99 (Around Rs.760-800/-)

Directions and Ingredients:

Siren is a combo of amazing corals and oranges..Ballet has pretty nudes..Tease is filled up with hot reds..and Showgirl has hot hot pinks..

It comes in a square black trademark Sleek MakeUP packaging..a little bigger than the Brow Kit..and comes with a nice big mirror and a small lip brush..

The palette has a combo of gloss, satin and matte finishes..satin is a little easier to work with than matte..small water droplets you see on any finish..thats satin..

I have got Showgirl and Tease for you..

T-B: Vegas, Lola, Jewel, Dancer

Showgirl

Vegas – Matte bright candy pink
Lola – Glossy raisin berry pink
Jewel – Satin cool toned bright pink
Dancer – Glossy barbie pale pink

Clockwise L-R: Vegas, Lola, Jewel, Dancer
T-B: Spotlight, Show Off, Paris, Dita

Tease

Spotlight – Glossy classic blue based red
Show Off – Matte Bright Coral
Paris – Glossy bright true red
Dita – Satin watermelon pinky red

Clockwise L-R: Spotlight, Show Off, Paris, Dita

Its a perfect travel companion..and shades can also be mixed and matched..I am amazed by the pigmentation..these are super pigmented and leave a strong stain behind..

Only issue is glossy shades are too soft and creamy…they would get a little messy..and also they transfer easily and don’t stay on for long..matte shades need to be layered and neatly applied..I love the satin finish the most..can also be used with fingers and dabbed on lightly like a stain..they are stiff unlike the glossy which would dent your finger in :/ These are only available online..

Overall these are pretty amazing..the colors, combo, different finishes and the brush and mirror..make it ideal for travel..and if you love reds you surely going to love Tease coz all the shades are wearable..in Showgirl I liked Lola and Jewel the most..

These would be available online on sleekmakeup.com or Superdrug stores from 8th May,2013..

Kiehl’s BB Cream Light Review, Swatches, FOTD

Kiehl’s Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream Light Review, Swatches, FOTD

I mentioned about the launch and swatches of all three shades of the Kiehl’s BB Cream HERE

Kiehl’s Actively Correcting & Beautifying BB Cream
More than a BB Cream.
Instantly perfects.
Visibly corrects the appearance of skin tone irregularities with daily use.
With SPF 50 PA+++
Available in 3 shades: Fair, Light & Natural.

MRP: Rs.3200/- for 30ml

Active Ingredients in it are Vitamin C, Glycerin and Natural pigments.

Ingredients:

It comes in small sleek white tube with a flip cap..comes in 3 shades..there is not much of a difference between Natural and Light..

Only a pea sized amount is needed..and it gives amazing coverage..not full..but I did say much better than any tinted moisturisers or BB Creams in Indian market..

I love the fact that it has SPF 50 PA+++ and I do not need a separate sunscreen…unless of course where I am going to remain out for long..I did apply an additional sunscreen..

I have the one in Light shade and it works perfect for me..

Here is me with only Kiehl’s BB Cream and nothing else..

Pros:

1. Quite light weight.
2. Good coverage.
3. SPF 50 PA+++
4. Stays for 6-7 hours.
5. I do not need a separate moisturiser under this for now in summers..this alone works well…so no separate 3 things needed..only this and I am sorted.
6. Pores appear smaller.
7. High content of Vitamin C also helps in fading scars and improving skin tone..I saw some difference with regular use..along with Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Concentrate.

Cons:

1. Very expensive for 30ml.
2. Only 3 shades available..not much options for darker skin tones.
3. Kiehl’s is not available in all cities..though you can order them to be delivered.

Overall I would say I do love this..and this works out amazingly well for me..especially in summers..I need only this..and no 2-3 different products…but I would definitely agree this is expensive for daily use..

For a High impact look – Illuminate. With fingertips, sweep all over eye from inner corner and work outwards. For added drama, darken as desired.

MRP: Rs. 350/- for 4g

It comes in a glass jar with black plastic cap..similar to MAC Paint Pots or MUFE Aqua Creams..the texture is quite creamy and smooth..and it is pigmented enough too..and can also be builded..also comes with a brush along..which is quite good..and works well with these..

On me it stayed a good 7-8 hours with very little fading even without a primer or base. It could have stayed longer but I have not worn it longer than that..These are compared to MAC Paint Pots and said to be quite a good dupe at this price..and I totally agree !

I am always late and running and such 2 minute cream shadows which are super easy to work with and stay all day long are a boon for a person like me 😀

T:1 swipe, B: 2 swipes

Bad to the Bronze is a neutral taupey bronze with shimmer..a perfect everyday shade..can be worn to work or brunch with friends or anywhere practically..its quite a versatile shade..and one that would look good on all skin tones..fair, medium or dusky..

Here it is on me..

MRP: Rs. 270/- for 2.4 g

It comes in a normal round eyeshadow pan packaging..with a flip cap..

I was in love with the shade the moment I saw it..the name ‘Emerald Smoke’ was calling out to me 😀

But…as soon as I touched it.. 😮 Its a creamy eyeshadow..Nowhere did I read thats its cream based..not even in claims or on the pack..so I expected these to be powder eyeshadows..

I still love the color ! :p Emerald Smoke is a deep blackened olive green with golden shimmer..

T: 2 swipes, B: 1 swipe

Its pretty pigmented and buildable..I love how gorgeous it looks..kinda blackened olive green smokey eyes with some golden shimmer shining..

But but..the only and major issue is..it creases within an hour ! It just does’nt stay..and creases badly..how I wish it was powder eyeshadow or stayed longer..

Pros:

1. Gorgeous shade.
2. Easy to use…works with fingers too.
3. Economical.
4. Qty would last long.
5. Travel friendly..the flip cap shuts well.
6. Can be used as an eyeshadow base or gel liner.
7. Claims to be non toxic..

Cons:

1. Creases within an hour !
2. Only available online for now.

Overall I love the shade..but I cannot wear it coz it creases 🙁 I will have to try a very good eye primer like the Too Faced Shadow Insurance with it now..would update if it stays put with that..
