Young Discover Youthopia Lipstick comes in a small sleek black packaging with rectangular edges..though it looks quite small and like a mini lipstick, it does have 4.25g qty which is more than the normal lipsticks these days..

The shade 225 Rose Damask is a peachy coral shade..but not too bright kinds..something very wearable..It is indeed very moisturising..and this is one lipstick which you can wear anytime even if your lips are chapped, coz this would heal and not accentuate or settle in lines..

It is quite pigmented..and one swipe gives you a good enough color..though the staying power is average since its quite creamy..it does leave a nice peachy tint behind..

Pros:

1. Made from natural ingredients like cow ghee, kokum butter, honey and beeswax.
2. Small sleek packaging..which is sturdy enough.
3. No artificial chemicals.
4. It heals while you wear it.
5. Quite pigmented.
6. Leaves behind a nice tint.
7. Economical..the qty is good enough and its offered on discount on most of the sites.
8. Does not accentuate or settle in lines.

Cons:

1. Not available in stores, but only online.

Actually no other cons with it I can think of, I quite love the formula, its perfect in pigmentation, decent staying power, heals while you wear it and available in good many different shades..

Avon Ultra Color Riche Lipstick Review, Swatches

Avon Ultra Color Riche Lipstick Twig Review, Swatches

I had totally forgotten to review this..dunno how..I had to review it long back though..

I had heard a lot of good things about ‘Twig’ and did they hold good for me..let’s find out..

What the Company claims : Full color, Full Moisture, Full shine for fuller lips that look and feel smooth! Instantly releases rich color with creamy/sequined/shimmery texture.
Formulated with Vitamin E and Jojoba to hydrate lips and seal in moisture, so lips stay smooth.

MRP: Rs.375/- for 3.6 gm (but often on discounts)

Available in 25 Shades

Avon Ultra Color Riche come in a black and silver oblong curved packaging..its handy and light and I do like the packaging..only issue is you cannot find the shade easily if you have many of these..

Twig is a light rosy brown shade..kinda MLBB..this would be a perfect MLBB for someone between NC 37 and NC 42..works for me too..but just a little more on the brown side on me..though I do love it as an MLBB

It looks scary and wine like in the tube..but comes up as a light creamy rosy brown..

Its subtle enough to be worn everyday with anything and would even work with your formal wear or in office like Colorbar Bare..

Here is it on me..

Pros:

1. Decent packaging.
2. Twig is a nice rosy brown shade..which can be worn anywhere and an MLBB shade for many.
3. Often on offers like 2 for 319 etc which is a very good deal.
4. Stays for 2-3 hours without eating, etc
5. Creamy and moisturising and feels quite light on lips.

Cons:

1. Avon is available only through reps.
2. Difficult to find a shade if you have many coz of the same packaging.

Overall these are quite good lipsticks..with some good everyday wear shades like rosy browns and pinks..I have liked Rose Wine too and may get that next..

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow All Night Blue Review, Swatches

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Mono Eyeshadow 06 All Night Blue Review, Swatches
What the Company claims: Make a long lasting impression without batting an eye. Infallible eye shadows contain ultra concentrated color pigments, for an intense color finish and upto 24 hour long-lasting hold.

Shades Available:

  • 04 Forever Pink
  • 12 Endless Chocolate
  • 05 Purple Obsession
  • 09 Permanent Khaki
  • 02 Hourglass Beige
  • 06 All Night Blue
  • 13 Burning Black
  • 15 Flashback Silver
  • 14 Eternal Black
  • 20 Pebble Grey
MRP: Rs. 450/- for 3.5 g

This was a part of the Cannes 2012 L’Or Electric Collection..

They all have different names in the US like this All Night Blue is called Midnight Blue, Endless Chocolate is called Continuous Cocoa, Purple Obsession is called Perpetual Purple, Permanent Khaki called Golden Sage and so on..

Some gorgeous shades like Smoldering Plum and Golden Emerald have not been introduced in India 🙁 I dunno why always the step motherly treatment..we also deserve all those pretty colors no..

This has a silver packaging..with a see through at at the bottom..and a lid on top..and a black inner lid for the hold..

The texture is quite different than normal eye shadows..its not powdery..but a little creamy sorts..and kinda crumbly..if you get it..its super pigmented..one swipe would give you the desired pigmentation and color..

All Night Blue is a deep midnight ink blue..a gorgeous shade..you can use it alone for midnight blue smokey eyes without the black..such deep shades do not even require black for the smokey effect..If you had seen and remember the IIFA awards recently, Parineeti Chopra had a similar blue dress and eye shadow..

In Sunlight

The color is bold for sure..and not something you can wear everyday..but the tip to use it in a wearable way is to use it as a liner..you can try and use Inglot Duraline too..or just normal water..coz these are made to be used both wet and dry..and stay on amazingly well both ways..

Pros:

1. Super pigmented..you get the desired pigmentation in a single swipe.
2. Stay on for a good 7-8 hours without primer too before they start to fade a little.
3. Works both wet and dry.
4. All Night Blue is a gorgeous midnight blue shade..which looks good as a liner too.
5. These are quite economical for the quality and 3.5 g would last quite long too !
6. Available in 10 shades

Cons:

1. Packaging is not so good..if the shadow falls even once..it would crumble up.
2. There is some fall out since these are not densely packed or satiny in texture..
3. Some amazing shades are not introduced in India..

Overall I do love this..All Night Blue is a gorgeous shade..and a perfect blue to have in stash if you do not have one..

piCture pOlish Blog Fest 2012

piCture pOlish Blog Fest 2012- Attitude, Demeter Swatches

Remember the piCture pOlish Blog Fest 2011..I had swatched Coral Reef..see here

I have even named a piCture pOlish nail paint..’Jealousy’..see here

Today I am swatching Attitude and Demeter..their two new shades from the Collaboration Collection..

MRP: 11.50$ for 11ml each

Attitude is new and very special as it is from their new ‘Collaboration Collection’ and was jointly created by Kim from Overall Beauty (their USA Network member). And is exclusive to piCture pOlish on-line and Overall Beauty!! It’s a holographic!

They describe it as ‘perfectly purple subtle scattered holo’. Attitude is a bluish purple with multi reflects.

Demeter is also new and very special as it is from their new ‘Collaboration Collection’ and was jointly created by Katie from Harlow & Co (their Canadian Network member). And is exclusive to piCture pOlish on-line and Harlow & Co!! It’s a holographic!

Demeter is a Chocolate brown holo with more of gold reflects

They have QR labels (on each shade) consumers can scan the label and it will take them straight to piCture pOlish on-line or a Network member (depending where the shade was purchased)!!

Both stay easily for 4-5 days without chipping, have perfect consistency and  the reflects do not feel gritty..plus they are quick drying too..

I like both especially Demeter..

I love all piCture pOlish nail paints I have tried uptill now..

Bootie Babe Nail Polish Review, Swatches

Bootie Babe Nail Polish Blue Baboo, Bossy Mossy Review, Swatches

ABOUT BOOTIE BABE

Bootie Babe® is a new beauty and fashion brand developed by SuperBooty LLC.

In Oct of 2011 the company is proudly launching its first collection, a line of nail polish featuring cute and collectible bootie shaped bottles.

SuperBooty President and CEO Mark O’Hara wanted to create a humorous, bold and truely unique beauty product that would literally “stand out” from the competition.

O’Hara’s creative and business interests go beyond nail polish.
He states “My goal is to develop the Bootie Babe brand and manufacture a variety of products including cosmetics, apparel, accessories, gifts and jewelry.

SuperBooty LLC understands the need to market cosmetics that are safe, free of toxic ingredients and developed using cruelty-free testing procedures.

Bootie Babe lacquer formulations are developed specifically to be “California Safe”,  and do not include chemicals such as formaldehyde, toulene, and dibutyl-pthalate.

These mini booties cost 4$ each and the shipping is 6$ for upto 3 bottles..and increases..accordingly..so you can get 3 bottles at 18$ which is very decent enough..and the quantity in each is also 9ml which is pretty good..

First of all, is’nt the packaging super fun..my mom and granny were a little amazed though 😀 And anyone at first would be seeing a nail polish bottle of a bootie shape..

I love the cute packaging and the brush is nice too..only the formula is a too thick..and after one coat..it kind of goes gooey at times..and takes a lott of time to dry too..

I love the Blue Baboo shade..a pastel kind an egg blue..its quite flattering..and the formula of this is somehow better too..

Where as the Bossy Mossy is a moss green with a neon tinge..though I liked the shade at first..but the formula of this was kinda thicker..and then when I removed it..it stained my nails a greenish yellow !! And the stain just did not go..I so hated that..it stayed for a month or so..

See how it has smeared a little coz did not dry and even chipped a little on the index finger..

I loved the shade Blue Baboo and definitely recommend that..check out more shades here

Avon Glazewear Intense Lipgloss Animal Instinct Review, Swatches

What the Company claims: Glossy shine with comfortable wear on lips.

MRP: Rs. 329/- for 4.5g (Currently Rs. 229/-)

Animal Instinct is a part of the new Urban Jungle Collection..2 other shades from this collection are Concrete Safari and Wild Wilderness.

The Intense ones come in some 7-8 shades..

Animal Instinct is a deep earthy reddish brick brown..but quite a wearable one..

Its totally non sticky and very moisturising..plus this is one of the most pigmented and long staying glosses I have tried..

Here is it on me..

Pros:

1. Very pigmented.
2. Totally non sticky.
3. Staying power is around 2 hours..which is quite good for a gloss..and it does not leave the lips bare..
4. Has a normal slant applicator..which is easy to work with.
5. Its completely matte..so appropriate for day time too.
6. Economical at Rs. 229/- when on offer..plus the quantity is good too.

Cons:

1. Avon is available only through reps.

Overall I have no other cons with this..loved the quality and staying power of these..and also that these are not those normal sheer glosses but quite pigmented and non sticky and matte..surely trying more..highly recommended.

Inglot AMC Pressed Powder Review

Inglot AMC Pressed Powder Review

What the Company claims: PARABEN FREE FORMULA NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS

MRP: Rs. 950/- for 9g/0.32US OZ

Ingredients:

It comes in 11-12 shades here..I have the shade 55 which is a perfect match for me..so if you are around NC 35-37 go for shade 55..

But the AMC Pressed Powder refill costs Rs. 550/- for 13g which is like quite good i.e more the quantity and less the price..only issue would be the refill would not be that travel friendly..

It comes in a round black packaging and has a big mirror on one side..it does not come with any puff..though I as it use a brush, so do not need one..but that might have helped while travelling..

It is so super silky and soft..though its a powder, it gives that soft creamy feeling..and it even gives medium enough coverage..much better than other presses powders I have used..

Pros:

1. Super silky and smooth..its gives a creamy feel to the skin and no dryness.
2. Gives a medium coverage..good enough for everyday.
3. The quantity would last quite long.
4. Comes with a big mirror across..one would not need separate mirrors when carrying this.
5. The classic black packaging is nice and sturdy and travel friendly too.
6. No cakiness or patchiness..this goes smooth..I generally use a powder brush or kabuki.
7. Refill is economical with more quantity and very reasonable pricing.
8. Inglot has no parabens and not tested on animals.
9. Does not contain talc..and has titanium dioxide which also acts as a sunscreen.

Cons:

1. Inglot is not available everywhere..though you can buy it online here
2. The refill is not so travel friendly.
3. Does not come with a puff..you need to carry your puff or brush with it..

Overall I am in love with this super smooth pressed powder..its the best I have used till now..and I am not turning to anything else any sooner..I surely recommend this..and if you are ok with the refill, I would say order today !
