  • Rosy Red
  • Russian Rubies
  • Sahara Sand
  • Turkish Coffee
  • Venetian Terracotta
  • Parisian Pink

MRP: 20$ for 4ml

It has shades named after places which sounds so cool. I quite liked Venetian Terracotta, Russian Rubies,Parisian Pink..sounds good na..

Parisian Pink gives a nice natural pink stain to the lips..as mentioned it feels cool on application and tingles for a second and then settles. The color is actually translucent and on application immediately turns pink. It does feel a little drying and its important to use the moisture stick or a lip balm above it..but then it does reduce the staying power a little.

Gets a little deeper after a few seconds

Though its a lip stain it lasts 3-4 hours on me and not more than that…later it goes away completely..and not unevenly..and needs to be reapplied.

Pros:

1. I like the natural pink color..it just adds a touch of pinkiness to the lips.
2. Since the Elizabeth Grant Moisture Stick is to be used above..which is a clear lip balm.it does not feel dry.
3. Stays for 3-4 hours.
4. Does not wear off unevenly.
5. Many colors available.

Cons:

1. Availability is an issue. You can buy it here.
2. I wish it stayed longer..as its a lip stain.
3. Expensive.

Overall I found it ok..since its a stain..I wish the staying power would have been better..though I have not tried the deeper stains..may be they stay longer. I like this particular shade..as it looks very natural on the lips..with just a hint of pink.

Inglot Freedom System Round Lipstick 51 Review,Swatches

Inglot Freedom System Round Lipstick 51 Review,Swatches

The round palette comes in a size of 3,5 and 10..costing Rs. 300/-, Rs. 850/- and Rs. 1400/- respectively. And the square palette comes in size of 2,4,5,20 and 40 costing Rs. 1400/-, Rs. 2800/-,Rs.850/-, Rs. 2800/- and Rs. 5000/- respectively (I know there is a huge difference here..and the pricing is weird)

You can purchase only the refills too from shopatmajorbrands.com but at the stores they do not sell only the refills..you need to buy the palettes or bring your palettes.

Coming to round lipstick refill and the shade 51 ! 51 is a very pretty wearable fuchsia pink with blue/purple undertones..would look good on both warm and cool skin tones..This is the prettiest pink I have ! I am so loving it..

If you want to start with a hot pink shade..but are scared of too bright shades..you should definitely start with this ! Its not the jhatak or OTT pink..but an understated everyday kinda fuchsia..

These are super moisturising..there is no lip balm required with this..and never did I feel even a little dryness..and super pigmented too..one swipe gives enough color..which is buildable depending on the color required.

In Natural Light
Indoors

And here is it on me..

Pros:

1. These round lipstick refills are super pigmented..the deeper the shade..the more pigmented these are.
2. Very moisturising..you do not require any lip balm and neither do you feel any dryness.
3. These stay for a good 4 plus hours and leave a tint behind..and the darker shades stay on longer.
4. Though these are just 1.2g, it is also better coz most of us never finish the entire 4g or 4.2g lipsticks we buy !
5. Each refill is economical..and priced well for the quality.
6. You can have 3 or 5 lipsticks together in a palette..and carry the palette along..also good if you are going out of town for events and functions.
7. These go on super smooth and do not settle in fine lines or bleed.
8. Inglot is paraben free and not tested on animals.
9. 90 shades of lipsticks to choose from !

Cons:

1. You always need a brush to use it..which sometimes is a little bothersome.
2. You need a palette to buy the refills at the stores.

No other cons..Overall I am super impressed with these..and love the quality, pigmentation, staying power, shades, everything..these are a definite must have !

Inglot Matte AMC Lip Pencil 23 Dupe

Inglot Matte AMC Lip Pencil 23 Dupe

When I had reviewed the Inglot AMC Lip Pencil here..many of you liked the shade..but found it to be a little expensive at Rs. 680/-

And this shade surely reminded me of a similar shade I had in my stash..and I checked all my lippies and compared..And it did !

And the dupe for Inglot Matte AMC Lip Pencil 23 is our very own Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in Naked Pink !! Which is quite famous amongst us bloggers and I guess most of us have Naked Pink or Bare or both 😉

Though the formula is quite different as the Inglot Lip Pencils are totally matte..but the shade is a little similar..the Inglot 23 is a little cooler and the Naked Pink is a little warmer…but still they are quite comparable..see for yourself..

T- Naked Pink B- Inglot 23

I would surely suggest checking out Naked Pink if you still have’nt..its a pretty mauvey earthy pink..and a MLBB shade for dusky skin tones..

Pure Color Lipsticks have a simple golden packaging..its decent and sturdy enough..they have a very nice mix of pinks, browns and peachy pinks.

The texture is cream finish and is moisturising too..it does not settle into lines and never feels dry..staying power varies from shade to shade..darker shades have a good staying power of 3-4 hours and leaves a tint behind. It has a sweet artificial smell which I did not like much..but it goes away in a few minutes.

T-2 wipes B- 1 swipe
612 Red Rose is the new addition in the shades..its a coral red..a much wearable red ! This is the easiest red to carry off for anyone..its not the OTT bright red..and would suit all skin tones.

Pros:

1. Has a good mix of pinks, peaches and brown shades.
2. Has a smooth creamy finish.
3. Does not settle into lines.
4. Very economical.
5. Good staying power of 3-4 hours.
6. Red Rose is a very wearable red..that would suit all skin tones.

Cons:

1. Lotus Herbals is not available everywhere.
2. I do not like the artificial sweet smell.

No other cons as such..I quite like this..and surprisingly they have a good staying power too. Overall Red Rose is an universally flattering pink based red. And good for those who wish to start with bright shades. Check out swatches of all the Lotus Pure Color Lipsticks here

VOLUME 30g

MRP: USD 48.99

The ingredient list is mentioned but its in Chinese language.

I love this round packaging…it opens from all sides like a flower blooming..:p The 30g tube is a medium sized one..not very small..but ya not too big..its wrapped in butter paper..and comes with 2 blenders..which are joined in a heart shape..

They claim it to be a real Blemish Balm…which actually heals blemishes and helps in preventing pigmentation…I am using it from quite some time..

A very thin layer is needed to be spread around..and as mentioned its not supposed to be blended..but just patted..It has a fruity smell which I quite liked..

You need just a little amount as it spreads around well..and covers more area..The only thing is it is gray with a hint of yellow in shade..and does leave a little whitish cast..and it does cover redness..but it would not replace your tinted moisturiser or foundation..since it would not match our skin tones..but this works great as a base too..and at times you can just top this up with a pressed powder..if you want to skip foundation.

Unblended
Blended

It does leave a smooth feeling on the skin..and the foundation or tinted moisturiser also goes on better with this as a base..it also reduces the appearance of pores a little.

It gives a dewy finish at start but settles to a matte finish in a few seconds…this stays put a good 5-6 hours and does not impart any oiliness to the skin.

Pros:

1. It does cover redness and evens out the tone.
2. Works as a base for foundation or tinted moisturiser.
3. It can also be used standalone..just with a pressed powder on top.
4. No preservatives, alcohol, mineral oil or parabens.
5. Its made from natural plant extracts.
6. It does feel soothing on the skin…if your skin is acne prone..this would cover the redness and feel quite soothing.
7. Quite good for sensitive skin.
8. Its small and handy and quite travel friendly.
9. It reduces the appearance of pore size.
10. It is truly a real Blemish Balm..it does what it claims.

Cons:

1. Since its grayish in color..it does give some whitish cast.
2. Expensive.
3. Availability is an issue..its only available on WishTrend as of now.You can buy it here
4. Single universal shade.

Overall I quite like this Blemish Balm. It feels soothing, works as a great base too and reduces the appearance of pores, covers redness and prevents blemishes too.

Beauty UK Eye Shadow and Eye Liner Palette Smoke Screen Swatches

Beauty UK Eye Shadow and Eye Liner Palette No. 3 Smoke Screen Swatches

What the Company claims: Everything you could want in a palette! A collection of our 6 intensely pigmented shades and 2 gel-based liners – More precise than a pencil, more forgiving than a liquid, this super-smooth formula offers more control, play time, and buildable coverage than your average liner.

WINNER! – Best New Eye Product 2011 at the Pure Beauty awards in London.

Price: £3.99 inc. VAT (Around Rs. 310/-)

Shades Available:

Ingredients:

I have reviewed the Eye Shadow and Eye Liner Palette in No. 2 Amazon here. You can read the whole review there. Disco has pop of bright colors, Amazon is brown based..and Smoke Screen is a blend of blues and blacks..perfect for smokey eyes..

If you love smokey eyes..you should definitely check out Smoke Screen.

This eye shadow and eye liner collection palette consists of 6 eye shadows of 1g each..about a size of our new 5 rupee coin and 2 gel or cream liners of 1.5g each. It has a small dual sided brush..one side is a angled liner for the cream liners and the other side is a small fluffy crease brush..well its actually very tiny..but the angled liner brush is quite nice ! And also a stretched mirror below the brush. I love these palettes for being so travel friendly and compact.

The shadows are decently pigmented..some are more..and some are a little less..but none are powdery or chalky..all have a metallic finish and are shimmery..but not glittery…if you are a fan of mattes..this is not for you..the staying power is a good 6-7 hours even without a base.

The gel liners are decently pigmented too..the black is darker and glossier than the one in the Amazon Palette and the blue is nicely pigmented too..these cream liners are water proof and stay around 6-7 hours on the lids.

Top Row has metallic grey with blue shimmer, metallic ash gray and shimmery white

Bottom Row has metallic denim blue, bluish gray with blue shimmer and metallic black with some silver shimmer

Cream liners are matte deep navy blue and matte glossy black

Check out the whole review here

Overall I quite love this palette..it is super handy..and you get all the smokey shades with gel liners and a brush in one palette..and at this price..definitely a steal ! Must have..

You can buy it here. Its a perfect gift too ! Surely recommended.

  • 501- Gothica
Now you must have known by the names that this range does not have normal everyday shades..but all bright and unique ones like transparent barely there, reds, purples, violets, lavender, grape, Gothic Black,etc..

This range is truly different.. I liked a few like Sugar Rose or Peach..this Barely There shade is a clear lip balm..This works more as a base to use underneath lipsticks or as a gloss to top lipsticks or matte lip creams with..

Its quite moisturising as a lip balm..the silver packaging is nice too..since this is devoid of any color..I don’t know about the staying power, etc

Overall its nice as a lip balm..but I would not advice spending 500 bucks for a clear lip balm.

  • Velvet Plum
Ingredients:

All the shades are not available now..neither on the Bobbi Brown site nor on Apothica..I am not aware if they are discontinued or just Out of Stock.

Cabo Coral and Calypso Coral were a part of the Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals Collection which had launched in 2010.

I was super confused between Cabo Coral and Calypso Coral..Cabo Coral is a true coral peach..minus any pinkiness..whereas Calypso Coral is a bright coral pink..I was scared it might be too bright..but it comes up just fine after blending.

As described..Calypso Coral is a bright coral pink..I like the coral pink hue it gives to the cheeks..but it does not look OTT.

Its a little on the glossier side..so I guess the oily skinned would not prefer it much..coz of the shine..you better try first before buying.

Its so super easy and convenient to use..I love cream blushes coz they are very easy to use and can be used anywhere..you just need clean fingers..thats it !

Unblended-Blended

The formula is nice and easy to blend..it stays a good 6-7 hours..though the glossiness would go..the color does not fade away completely..but I wish it had better staying power..not the fault of the texture..nothing survives too long in the humid climate here.

I find this a little drying for lips..and the color does not show up much too..it comes up as a stain..and stays for 2-3 hours..but not very comfortable on lips….you feel that dryness.

Pros:

1. I love the bright coral pink shade.

2. The shades they offer are all quiet nice and versatile..from peaches to pinks to brown pinks to plums and browns.

3. Super easy to use and blend.

4. Convenient to carry around.

5. Gives a glossy finish to the cheeks..I like that in winters.

6. Stays for a good 6-7 hours.

7. Can be used for both lips and cheeks.

8. Its easy to use..also coz it does not settle in fast..and would not stain if you do not blend quickly..so good for newbies too.

Cons:

1. Feels drying on lips.

2. Expensive.

3. Availability is an issue..I see only 3-4 shades everywhere.

Overall I quite like it..I did not have a bright coral pink cream blush in my stash..the texture is nice..easy to blend and gives a glossy finish..I also like Powder Pink, Blushed Rose and Pink Truffle. Calypso Coral is a nice color for medium to fair skin tones. For medium dusky, I would suggest Powder Pink or Pink Truffle.

– camphor

Apply two coats.
Make sure that first coat is completely dry before applying second one.
Some shades look best with three coats.

15 ML/0.51 US FL OZ

Pastel shades:

MRP: Rs. 490/-

972 is a pretty pastel peachy pink (P4) shade..Inglot has five shades in their Pastel Collection Nail Enamels..I quiet like this peachy pink..Pastels are not something I am in the mood of everyday…but I love pastels at times..And the rest four shades i.e yellow, violet, green and blue are equally nice..

Its toluen, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) free. Stays well without chipping for 5 days. The only issue is it chips from the centre instead of the edges.

You would require 2-3 coats for it to show up..one coat comes up quiet sheer. These are a little expensive for a nail paint..but 15ml is quite a good quantity too.

If you like pastels..I would surely recommend them.
