Now, there are few products from the brand which are globally famous and we often reach out beyond our means to get our hands on that. Well, now I don’t have to worry about the classic highlighter or bronzer I have been dreaming to own. The moment I saw theBalm online, I made my top 10 list of product which I will be purchasing. I also noticed that the price tags are not unreasonably high but have a slight difference when you convert the currency. I also added the actually price tag so that you can see for yourself. The products are available both on Nykaa and Amazon India.

So, here’s the best of theBalm which you can easily purchase online.

I got a few things from Feelunique.com a few months ago. I had filmed this video earlier but if you don’t already know, I have got a fracture recently and hence it took some time to edit, etc.,

About Feelunique: Feelunique is a UK based website which stocks all international brands from Real Techniques, Sleek MakeUP, NYX, Maybelline, Benefit, theBalm, Rimmel London, etc. They have 1000’s of brands under them. They offer free shipping all over the world above £60 and £15 shipping below that. But even if you buy 2-3 items, you can easily cross £60.

Also they have a lot of offers from time to time and free Gifts with Purchases. Only disadvantage I would say is customs and since that is not fixed or cannot be determined, it is a bit of risk.

I got 6 items out of which one item was missing. I paid Rs 950/- customs on rest of the 5 items. Let’s see what all I got..

And the item which went missing was the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick. I wanted all of these items since a really long time! They were on my wishlist! And I am so glad I got these.

My Current Makeup Wishlist

Hi guys,

I do have a secret makeup wishlist like all girls, obvious no. So I thought of sharing my makeup wishlist with you all today. Of course these items are not ‘need’ coz I have so many other alternatives in my stash already, but ‘want’ 😀

1. theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer

Now this is on my wishlist since a long time, but it it so expensive here in India, it’s more than double the rate. Definitely getting this when I or someone close flies outside. It is supposed to be the best highlighter ever! And I love highlighters

2. Lorac Pro Palette

I have heard so much about this and it looks beautiful with all the super pigmented warm colors, but I have already own lots of palettes, like way too many! Umm..confused about this, but wouldn’t mind if someone gifts me this 😉

3. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

I don’t anything from Nars yet and this concealer is raved about by all the YouTubers, definitely would love to try this.

4. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

Matte, long lasting, comes in 28 shades, comfortable, 100% cruelty free, what’s not to love!

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick

Same as above but comes in 22 shades. Liquid lipsticks are all the rage and Kat Von D and Anastasia ones are I believe the most famous and raved ones. I would love to try them and experience for myself.

6. Colourpop Lippie Stix/Ultra Satin/Ultra Matte

Colourpop is one brand that is creating a stir in the makeup/beauty world since the past 1-1.5 years. I want to try their Ultra Satin, Ultra Matte Lip colors especially the Kathleen Lights shade and the Lippie Stix too.

7. Makeup Geek Eyeshadows/Blushes

Not that I don’t have eyeshadows, I have gazillion, but the Makeup Geek ones look really nice. Again a case of ‘want’ and not ‘need’, so stopping myself from splurging.

Ya I think that is pretty much it for now 😀 I will add things or make a new wishlist if I have enough things in my wishlist, haha.

Unboxing & Review: September 2015 Anniversary Fab Bag

I received the September Fab Bag today and I recorded, edited and uploaded this video all today 😀 So that you can decide whether or not to order the September Fab Bag.

This is their 3rd anniversary bag. It is a red and black glittery pouch. I am not a fan of glitter pouch as such, but it is big enough and good for travel.

Products I got in the bag:

  • Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer in Medium- Full size (Rs.550/-)
  • Kama Ayurveda Rose Water (Full size Rs.250/- for 50ml)
  • Just Herbs Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir (Full size- Rs.985/- for 15ml)
  • Skinn by Titan Celeste for Women and Raw for Men – 2ml samples (Full size- Rs.990/- for 50ml)
  • theBalm Stainiac Lip & Cheek Stain- 1.2ml sample (Full size Rs.1200/- for 8.5g)

Now I was quite excited to read ‘theBalm’ at first, but then noticed a small 1.2 ml sample and got a bit disappointed. I wanted a bigger sample, at least a deluxe one. Not very happy with the small perfume samples too, the 9-10 ml body mists are much better which I got in previous bags than this tiny 1-2 ml vials.

I love the fact that there are 3 full sized products though one is a smaller bottle i.e. the Kama Ayurveda Rose Water. I have used it before and I quite like the Kama facial sprays. I am happy with the Makeup Revolution full sized concealer too and the Just Herbs Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir. I have used such facial oils/serums before and I have always loved them, so looking forward to trying this one.

Overall, I am happy with the bag but I got a bit excited thinking it would be something very unique since it is the Anniversary issue. A deluxe sized theBalm product would have been perfect, but nonetheless it is a good bag and I recommend it. Only make sure you get the concealer in your shade match.

Hey everyone,

I am back with a haul after a long time ! My cousin was coming from the US and I always order stuff from Apothica and get it delivered at his place. (Cashing on the free shipping within US :p)

This time I ordered Stila In the Light Palette, theBalm Stainiac in Prom Queen, La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, EOS Lip Balms in Strawberry Sorbet and Summer Fruit and Styli Style Line and Seal 24H Eye Pencil in Bronze.

Stila In the Light Palette is my fav of the lot. Its a collection of Stila’s award-winning eye shadows in wearable, neutral shades for every skin tone that can be worn wet or dry and comes with Stila Smudge Stick in Damsel, a matte brown shade. Comes with a lookbook which has 4-5 different looks from day to night. I feel many of the shades are quite similar to the ones in UD Naked Palette.

theBalm Stainiac is a lip and Cheek Stain..Prom Queen is a pretty strawberry red tint.

La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water…wanted to try from a long time and EOS lip balms too.

Styli Style Line and Seal eye pencil in Bronze..heard the brand first time..but read good reviews that it really does stay put whole day.

What the Company claims :

MRP: 18$ for 7.5g

Ingredients:


It is supposed to be Anti Cernes i.e Anti Wrinkles concealer..It comes in 6 shades from Lighter than Light to Medium/Dark.

I have the Medium in this which is perfect for my skin tone..so Medium would suit NC 35-37 and Mid Medium which is the second last would suit NC 40-42.

It comes with a white sponge which does help in blending it out..but it does not have a separate compartment to be kept and I do not keep it on the product as it comes..I don’t think thats hygienic to do..and I mostly use my fingers or sometimes a brush to blend it out.


Its very creamy but needs to be warmed up a little before applying..especially for the under eyes. Its very very opaque and just a little product is needed. More then the under eyes I feel this product is perfect for spot concealing. The best thing about this is its staying power. I have used this in extreme hot and humid climate and it stays put the whole day !

Pros:

1. Very opaque and gives complete coverage.
2. Does not transfer on tissues or anything.
3. Stays put the whole day !
4. Perfect for spot concealing.
5. Has some nice ingredients and they claim it can be worn before going to bed too..well that is not something I would do..
6. Economical for the quantity..this is going to last super long.

Cons:

1. Tub packaging.
2. Dry skin people might find it a little drying under eyes..they would need to use an eye cream.
3. Might settle in fine lines for a few..I did not face this problem.
4. Available online.

Overall I am in love with this product..though I am not sure people who prefer liquid concealers would like this..but those who require an opaque concealer for spot concealing..should surely try this out.

For comparision..this cost 18$ for 7.5g whereas MAC Studio Finish cost 17$ for 7g which is near about the same..and Studio Sculpt is 17$ for 5.5g

People in India can check this out on Strawberry.net..it is sometimes available at a much lesser price..but the availability is in itself very variable.
