Rouge Bunny Rouge Tinted Luxe Balms Review, Swatches

What the Company claims: Here comes the perfect combination of non-invasive lip treatment and beautifying colour: comfortable, plumping and intensely moisturising, delicately scented, our Tinted Luxe Balm DAZZLING SIP is just that – creamy anti-aging skincare available in three luminous shades.

As we age, our lips lose colour, elasticity and volume: the unique Tinted Luxe Balm formula is exclusively aimed at making a difference.

The Tinted Luxe Balm is based on a powerful active complex designed to bring back the original volume within four weeks of daily use, all while smoothing fine lines, nourishing and brightening the skin. An Ecocert-approved, patented active complex derived from natural Sunflower oil intensely hydrates and softens (clinically approved).

A unique blend of oils, waxes and state-of-the-art pigments create an inimitable glossy sheen and a lovely, flattering brightness of colour.

The Tinted Luxe Balm glides across your lips as gently as a touch of soft air – its impressive repairing, hydrating, plumping and redefining properties are delivered in a highly lightweight, non-sticky texture. It is much more long-lasting compared to other balms.

Free from parabens.

MRP:€29.00 excl. shipping (3.5 g / 0.12 oz e) (INR 2200 each approx)

Ingredients:

Tips: To make lips soft and full again, use daily for at least four weeks. Can be worn on its own or layered under your favourite lipstick or gloss: allow yourself to play with shades and textures. Apply the nude shade as a treatment and base at the beginning of your make-up to prepare your lips. Use the nude shade as a night treatment for super soft and healthier lips when waking up. Frame your lips with a nude shade of our Long-lasting Lip Pencil to enhance the lasting power of the Tinted Luxe Balms.

Shades:

  • A Pinch of Nude: A juicy, transparent and luminous light beige/nude
  • Sip of Pink: A juicy, transparent and luminous soft raspberry-pink with light peach undertones
  • Specks of Cerise: A juicy, transparent and luminous shade – like crimson-red cherries

To start with the packaging, it is the most luxurious lip balms I ever owned! (And most expensive too) It has a thick black metallic packaging, the outer cover is hardcore metal and no plastic is used anywhere. It has a magentic closure and it’s quite heavy. It has the RBR trademark symbol on top of the cover and a floral self print on the case.

The formula is the best I have ever tried, it melts in contact with skin or lips. But it is not so soft that it just breaks, you have to be careful in summers though, because it is made of rich oils and butters. It moisturizes and softens the driest of lips in 15-20 minutes!

These are aptly named ‘Tinted Luxe Balms’ coz these are pigmented and the tint stays for a long time. They feel amazingly light weight on the lips, while hydrating them all the time. These won’t cover pigmented lips though, as they are lip balms after all.

The nude shade ‘A Touch of Nude’ is a clear lip balm with very fine gold shimmer and can be worn anytime, even night time as mentioned in Tips.

Sip of Pink is the most beautiful everyday soft pink

Specks of Cerise is a deep wine but very wearable.

Here are the swatches..

I absolutely love these and highly recommend these if you like investing in luxurious lip balms once in a while. The other two pigmented shades are great for dry lips like mine for regular use, where one wants a rich lip balm but also some nice deep colour on the lips.

These are definitely on the expensive side and availability is also an issue. But the quality is top notch, which only a few brands would come close to. I have not come across any RBR product untill yet with which I am disappointed with or have not liked.

Berry Bomb, Oh Orange, Pink Shock-Rs. 165

Fierce N Tangy is the non tinted one and the rest three are tinted. I love the packaging! Transparent cap and bright colors.

The formula is as smooth and moisturizing as the original Baby Lips. In fact this is slightly more creamier and glossy. I have Pink Shock and Oh! Orange with me.

Pigmentation wise Oh! Orange is not that pigmented and does not show up much on lips but Pink Shock is super! Its a very pretty bright pink,I use it almost everyday. Its my handbag staple and I also carried and used it during my honeymoon.

If you are a daily just a lip balm and kohl person like me, you will love this! Plus it did not re application again and again and kept the lips soft and supple even after it was gone and the tint remains for a long time too!!

L- Oh! Orange, R- Pink Shock

At this price point, something which moisturizes your lips and gives a nice pink color and leaves behind a tint too, I highly recommend this. I haven’t tried the Berry yet but absolutely suggest trying Pink Shock. But do not expect super bright color as shown in the ads or banners 😀

Ingredients:

I have too many of pinks..so peach is something I was eyeing as it would be different..And presently loving all peaches and corals..! But even this turned out to be more of a peachy pink on me..guess pinks wont leave me :p

Its a clear balm which changes color on your lips according to your body temperature.

The whole product…only this much qty and its thin too..:/

I love how it moisturises my lips and stays long, gives a nice peachy pink tint and keeps my lips soft..

Looks almost clear on hand

These are manufactured in Thailand.

Pros:

1. It does not feel waxy but at the same time moisturises my lips well and keeps them soft through the day.
2. I liked the soft peachy pink tint it gives my lips but then again would appear different on different people.
3. This can be layered to get the desired intensity of color.
4. The tint stays for a decent long time.
5. Economical at Rs.99/-
6. Available everywhere easily.
7. It has some nice oils and butters as seen in Ingredients and does not have parabens ! Still its shelf life is 2.5 years.

Cons:

1. The quantity is too less and with regular usage I guess this would last just a month.

No other cons..I am in love with this ! They should come up with more colors in this like a coral, orange, plum,etc..I think everyone should try this atleast one..its fun knowing what color it gives to our lips..

Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm v/s Lotus Herbals Lip Therapy

I love tinted lip balms..and there is Nivea and Lotus which make good ones in India (Vaseline has come up with Rosy Glow in their tubes too..and that too at Rs.60 /- )…Nivea has the tube ones too in tinted which are Pinkish Boost, Glamorous Gloss, etc and the twisted tube one has 2 variations…the normal plain tinted i.e Star Fruit in Cherry and Strawberry and the Fruity Shine i.e the one with slight shimmer in Dragonfruit and Pomegranate.
Lotus comes in a tub in the flavors i.e Lotus lip balms in Strrawberry and Orange and the twisted tube i.e Lotus lip therapy in Cherry, Chocolate, Velvetty Rose, Fresh Mint, Vanilla and Cocoa.

I have Nivea Fruity Shine in Dragonfruit and Lotus Lip Therapy in Cherry. Dragon fruit is all pink with some shimmer..which is not that visible and has a fruity smell.Lotus Cherry is less tinted but goes on a sheer red on lips.

5. The caps are large enough..no fear of losing.

And now the Lotus
What the Company claims : Rehydrates. Heals. Protects. Has SPF 15. 1. The moisturisation. It does what it claims..rehydrates and heals dry and chapped lips.
2. Perfect for the winters when lips need extra moisturisation.
3. Easy to carry.
4. Availability.
5. Has 6 flavors..and all are tinted except Chocolate which smells like chocolate but is plain and has no tint.
6. Has SPF 15.
7. No animal testing.

Cons:
1. They are waxy and not as tinted as Nivea.
2. Small caps..may tend to lose them.

Overall rating- 4/5

So which one I would buy : Nivea for the tint and Lotus for the moisturisation..I think I would stick to Lotus for winters.

Which one do you like ? Have you tried both ?
