Editor’s Note: Agree with this list Sanchita, thankfully I do have all of these :p But I prefer platform heels and not very high heels as they are not the most comfortable currently for me. I gave 4-5 of my very high heels to my cousin who loves them

The Matte range of Revlon has some seriously gorgeous reds that have been continuing till today since 1951. The Really Red is a blue based bright tomato red that has the hint of rich and intense color. It is one of the rarest blue-based red that look flattering of warm Indian skin tones and another bridal red. The texture is like a creamy comfortable matte and extremely easy on dry and parched lips. A classy shade of red with a great wear time.

This red lipstick from the 9 to 5 range of Lakme is a pretty semi-bright deep blue-based red. It has no shimmers or glitter speckles and tailored for an alluring matte finish. It is, again, a pretty bridal red for matte lovers and looks pretty good on fair to dusky skin tones. However, the darker complexions with warm undertones might not be able to pull it off very well. This is like a classic red lipstick from the 90s and still beautiful.

7. DEBORAH ATOMIC RED MATTE LIPSTICK – #05 – 625 INR

Deborah Milano Rosetto Atomic Red Mat 05 is a deep cherry red that gives a powder matte finish, very close to the Chambor Powder Matte range. The color has a neutral undertone and a gorgeous choice for any occasion. It is very close color to the reputable MAC Ruby Woo (not a dupe!). It doesn’t feel uncomfortable on lips or accentuates to fine lines as well. The color fades off leaving a reddish tint on the lips.

8. COLORBAR VELVET MATTE LIPSTICK, HOT HOT HOT – 325 INR (BUY HERE)

This is best budget friendly red you can have in your life. It is bright and bold true red with no undertones at all. It has a creamy-matte finish and elusive silver packaging. In fact, this is one of the hot selling Reds of the brands and you can also try out the Hearts and Tarts as well. The versatility of the color is that it is tailored for every complexion and very easy to pull off even though it is bright and audacious.

9. CHAMBOR POWDER MATTE LIPSTICK RUBIS ROUGE – 645 INR (BUY HERE)

This is an all-time-favorite red with neutral undertones. In fact, I would go on call it a classic red as this is a sort of color a girl would love to wear endlessly. The texture is a winner with its powder matte finish and a single swipe or two of the color will give some gorgeous pout you have to waiting for. If there’s any no.2 red lipstick in my collection after Ruby Woo, it will be Rubis Rouge.

10. COLORBAR 001 BRICK RED ULTIMATE 8HRS STAY LIPSTICK – 900 INR (BUY HERE)

The color is a vibrant red with slightly blue undertones. However, the color is so stunning that will flatter no matter what skin tone or complexion you have. The magnificent semi-glossy texture with a promising wear time of 8hrs, the color is a stunner in its own way. It is extremely lightweight and doesn’t bleed at all. Hence, you does need a primer or lip liner underneath. It is rich and pigmented and has absolutely nothing to complain about.

Bonus 11: L’Oreal Paris Pure Red Lipstick in Freida’s Pure Rouge – INR 995 (BUY HERE for 746) (Review & Swatches HERE)

Again a beautiful, universally flattering red which will work on majority skin tones. It instantly brightens up your face while Aishwarya’s Pure Brick is more of a warm brick brown, Pure Rouge is the only shade from the entire Pure Reds Range that is a true, deep, pure red!

I only own Ruby Woo, Pure Rouge and Midnight Rose from the above :/ But absolutely love Ruby Woo and suggest each and everyone to own that shade! Revlon Really Red has been on my wishlist since years, always forget or it’s OOS. This is a brand familiar to every girl. Before we grew up and lusted on brands like L’Oréal Paris, MAC, Bobbi Brown, etc, Lakme is all we knew. There range of products were phenomenal and still now a rage in the beauty industry. The array of products provided by this brand has become cult favorite of every women. The best thing about Lakme is they know the exact need of every women and has an entire range dedicated for that. The Classics include some great budget friendly options while 9to5 has subtle colors and products for professional purpose. The Absolute Range, endorsed by the beauty icon Kareena Kapoor, has some amazing products and professional look.

Coming to today’s list of top 10 products from Lakme, it is indeed the toughest to choose. Even if I go for top 20, the list wouldn’t be complete for Lakme. Seldom have their launches failed and each and every product has a beauty of their own. You know they say that you can’t have it all, right? The same goes for this list. Loaded with mild SPF 20, brightening agents add a certain glow to brighten your skin, conceals faded marks and refreshes the skin, this is like a must have! One more thing that is raving about this CC cream and sets part from other is that it is extremely flexible for the skin type. It suits every skin type – it hydrates the dry skin while gives a non-greasy look to the oily skin all-round the year. To make it look matte, you simply need to dab a mattifying powder and you are good to go.

2. Lakme Eyeconic Kajal {210 INR(BLACK) 275 INR (COLOR)}– with a staple black color and also other 5 colors, very recently to added few more shades to the eyeconic kohl group. If you are a fan of creamy kajals that gives a total smudge free and water proof look even in summers for around 6-7hours, you are absolutely digging this one. I have tried so many kajals like any obsessive makeup lover but always come back to this. Moreover, the colors are matte, creamy and looks drop dead gorgeous!

3. Lakme Enrich Satin Lipsticks (INR 260)– probably the oldest and budget friendly range of lipsticks in India which have been used by woman from every walk of life. The packaging has been very recently revamped to the steel body which looks glorious. The new shade collection and packaging has been an instant hit and received appreciation from everywhere. They have some amazing red, browns and pinks for every occasion. The finish is satin velvety and hydrates the lips as well. For such a budget friendly price tag, buy at least one from this beautiful range.

4. Lakme 9 to 5 Foundation (INR 575) – 9 to 5 is personally my favorite range and the quality is as remarkable as it gets. Out of every product of this range, my favorite is the foundation which seem to be the right match for me. It is brightening yet looks like my own skin. The beauty of the foundation lies in its texture which can also be blended with the finger tips when you are in a hurry. It works for all skin tones and gives a sheer to buildable coverage. The staying power is good hardly requires touch ups. Now they have come up with the revamped formula and packaging, the Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation.

5. Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Tints – chubby lip balms are becoming a craze now a days and also the ‘matte’ mania in the beauty industry. Our very own Lakmé has brought forward the Lakme Absolute Matte Lip Tints which are both chubby and matte. With a soft texture that glides like a dream yet settles matte along with an amazing pigmentation, the lip tints were an instant hit when it launched. Although it has 6 shades, every shade is absolutely stunning.

6. Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate (INR 700) – Lakmé’s Absolute Kohl Ultimate known as the blackest black kajal in the market. The richness of the color and intensity of the pigmentation is to die for. It is undoubtedly long lasting and hardly budges even after 12hours. It is also a multi-purpose one as you can create some smoky look for parties and worth every penny you spend on it.

7. Lakme Nail Polish Remover (INR 70)– this has been in the market forever and also another impeccable one. There are glitter and sparkle nail paints which are a pain to remove from nails but with Lakme Nail Polish Remover I have seen it working like a magic. I have used various nail remover which does work on regular nail paints but this one is a stunning beauty which works for everything.

8. Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse Foundation (INR 700)– another gem of a foundation from Lakme. It comes in a very cute round packaging and has 3 shades. It is feather light on the skin and also evens out the skin. It doesn’t block the pores like other foundations and let the skin breathe. Even though it is a matte foundation, it can be used for winters and yet doesn’t accentuates to dry areas. It blends flawlessly and quite budget friendly for the quality it delivers.

9. Lakmé Perfect Radiance Range (INR 275-700)– the best skin care range one can opt for. It has proper items for both oily and dry skin and with continuous usage you will notice the transformation of the skin. From face wash to gloss crème to serums – it will cater every need of yours and gives a radiant glow to the skin. It also has a night crème and capsule treatment that leaves your skin healthy and blooming in just a month. Highly recommend for the would-be brides

10. Lakme Absolute Gel Addict Eyeliner (INR 800) – the last but not least, the Gel Addict Eyeliners. With the craze of cat eyeliners, came the craze of gel liner and every brand has brought forward their versions. Lakme went a step ahead and launched the beautiful packed gel liner with the brush. The colors are gorgeous and perfect for every occasion like party, office, weddings and the list continues. It is so easy to apply and travel with that you must have one from the range.

From college goers to professionals, they cater the need of one and all and much-loved as a budget friendly option. The products are so good that sometimes they are compared to certain high end brands as well. Every season they are bringing out more and more shades and variety to the existing ranges and no wonder we lust on them! It is extremely difficult to choose handful of the products, but if at all needed, I would choose the certain top 10 products listed below.

1. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer (Review HERE) (INR 600) – Contouring, highlighting and strobing is blooming in the beauty industry and there nothing better you can get than a highlighting concealer. With a special gel-based formula, it conceals the area with a sheer to medium buildable coverage with its smooth creamy texture and also highlights the same making the eyes look bright. It blends like a dream and doesn’t streak or looks cakey at all.

2. Maybelline Baby Lips (INR 165-275)– they say it right, there’s nothing called too many Baby Lips. The liner, although available in only Black, is the darkest version I have seen it. The creaminess of the liner, the rich and intense color pay off and a cute petite brush that comes with it, makes is a must-have in your vanity. The price is again very negligible compared and the liner is completely smudge proof and waterproof.

9. Maybelline Color Sensational Velvet Matte (INR 450) – Matte is the new black and every brand has come out with their version. Maybelline, with the launch of velvet matte has gained attention as well. These are Velvet Mattes are intensely creamy which settles down to a satin velvety texture without drying out the lips completely and looks fresh. The formula is hydrating and keeps lips non-sticky, non-chalky and hydrated all day long. There are available in 7 beautiful shades.

10. Maybelline The Nudes Eye Shadow Palette (INR 899) – Maybelline doesn’t have many eye shadow palettes but The Nudes is the ultimate and appropriate launch this season. With a combination of warm basic neutrals and browns, the palette is a wonderful option for everyday wear as well as parties.

Editor’s Note: I pretty much agree with the list, except for the Color Sensational Velvet Matte, I would go with the Color Sensational lipsticks. They have some amazing shades, I love the Bold Matte and Pink Alert Range too. Also the 14H Superstay Lipsticks. Maybelline Colossal Liner is my staple, can’t live without it. Also love the Colossal Volume Mascara and the Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation, one of my favourite drugstore foundations. The new eyebrow pencil Fashion Brow is also my favourite 😀 Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eye shadows are all time favourites, and the shade ‘Bronze’ is one of the best and my most loved product. I can’t wait for the Color Blur Lip Pencils to launch here soon! I think we need a top 15 or top 20 when it comes to Maybelline, it is indeed the most loved, economical and innovative brand out there.
