B-Town Ladies with the Best Airport Style

B-Town Ladies with the Best Airport Style

By Nidhal

Thanks to the outdoor shoot schedules, offshore promotional events or simply travelling to locales which offer moments of respite and tranquillity, airports become more or less the second homes of most B-town celebrities. And given that our Tinseltown celebs swaddle themselves in apparel that makes them the talk of the town (at times, in an unpleasant and unwanted way, unfortunately), keeping an eye of what they wore so as to borrow some practical ideas from those known for re- defining the rules of fashion, becomes pivotal. On that note, let us have a look at the B-town ladies who have the best airport attire 🙂

1. ANUSHKA SHARMA – Blend cuteness, effervescence, chirpiness and truckloads of energy and you will end up with Anushka Sharma. The lady is a livewire! She is often seen swaddled in the most comfy attire when making an appearance on airports. Not only are her clothes chic but also highly practical to borrow for women in the age group of 18-30. She sports denims of all sorts be it- ripped, skinny or colored and teams them with equally comfy tees. At times, she pulls on a jacket/hoodie that goes on not only with the look but also the weather which is highly practical an idea! I am borrowing some ideas, Anushka 🙂

2. DEEPIKA PADUKONE – The dimpled lass whose smile melts you in the twinkling of an eye makes heads turn for obvious reasons whenever she steps on the airport. Seen here is Deepika sporting an on-trend combination of white on denim, a bright lip paired with a black Birkin, knee-length boots, a floppy hat and oversized, sporty frames to accessorise. We are left drooling, Deepika!

3. KRITI SANON – A new kid on the block but a fashionista in the making- this is what comes to my mind as I see Kriti Sanon strut with panache at airports. Her attire too, is predominantly dominated by denims and comfy tees that make for trendy travel attire and who says tees are boring? Have a look at hers!

4. SONAM KAPOOR- One day I would definitely raid her closet! Even you would like to do so, won’t you? When everyone carries off comfy outfits, Sonam actually shows us what truly comfortable attire is. Seen here is Sonam draped in an orange-coloured off-shoulder maxi dress that not only looks trendy but also spells comfort. Given that India is predominantly hot for a major part of the year with even nights being uncomfortably humid at times, this maxi dress would make for a go-to outfit while commuting as it doesn’t stick to one’s body. If accessorised well, it makes for a chic outfit for a date/casual day out with pals.

5. KANGANA RANAUT – Here comes the lady whose clothes never wear her. Instead she wears her clothes with an attitude you cannot help but admire. Kangana Ranaut is seen here making her way out of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai wearing a maxi dress and a pair of boots with her hair tied in a bun. Perfect wear for women during summers while travelling, isn’t it?

6. ALIA BHATT- All of 21 and a name to reckon with in B-town, the young Bhatt girl is making all the right waves especially when it comes to styling. Alia’s dressing thankfully is reflective of her age. Young, energetic, vibrant and chirpy are the words that will come to your mind if you decide to have a sneak-peek into her style book. Seen here is Alia swaddled in a sky blue crop top, white ripped jeans and stipend shoes.

7. SHRADDHA KAPOOR- If there is anyone who has taught us how to wear casuals and look trendy in it round the clock, it has to be the petite Shraddha Kapoor. Swaddled in a pair of denims and comfy tees from time to time at the airport, Shraddha’s style does not scream for attention but rather comes across as a breath of fresh air reminding one that it is very much possible to enter the good books of the fashion police without robbing an ace designer’s exorbitant couture. Way to go, Shraddha. Keep it coming 🙂

Editor’s Note: All are pretty bang on with their casual looks, I loved Anushka and Shraddha’s all looks.

Which is your favourite look?

All About my Kasauli & Mashobra Trip/How to Plan, What to Cover, etc.

All About my Kasauli & Mashobra Trip/How to Plan, What to Cover, etc.

Hey guys,

So I wanted to include my vlog in this post and hence the delay to upload this post. I finally edited and uploaded my vlog, it’s a long one! 25 minutes long and snippets from all 4 days.

We had not planned on the destination and had only booked Delhi tickets in Dec, so in mid March, we finally zeroed on Kasauli and Mashobra and did the train tickets’ booking, etc.

If you directly plan to go to Kasauli or Mashobra/Shimla, Chandigarh airport is the nearest and best. Of course, then it’s a long journey by road, but for us both ways we had to take a train till/from Kalka as we had the Delhi tickets. You can also take a direct Volvo bus from Delhi but I was not comfortable with that long bus journey. We went by Delhi Kalka Shatabdi train which was superb, they have all the facilities like that of a flight. Food, water, tea, cleanliness, everything was followed well.

At first we went to Kasauli which is 40kms from Kalka station, so we had booked a cab from Kalka station. We were staying at Kasauli Regency which is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are small but the food is excellent and the service is good. We went to Dharampur the next day to see Manki Point, Kasauli Church, Kasauli Market, Sunset Point and pretty much everything in and around Kasauli.

The hotel had a rooftop breakfast and dining place which was beautiful in the morning, though unbearably cold at night. I loved having breakfast there though.

Next day we had to leave for Mashobra, so we took a train from Dharampur to Shimla. Now Shimla only has mono gauge rail i.e only a toy train can go to Shimla station. The other routes to reach Shimla is by road. But the Shivalik Express has a beautiful view and needs to be experienced once in life, which we obviously didn’t want to miss. So we went till Shimla in Shivalik Express, the train came late, runs slow and it took us about 4.5 hours to reach Shimla.

Shimla fortunately has Olacabs, so travelling there shouldn’t be difficult. We were staying at Mashobra, which is a little far from Shimla and within Mashobra too, our hotel was 3.5 km deeper inside! Well, travelling to and fro was difficult, but when you see this hotel, you will not regret a bit! We were staying at Mahasu House which is one of the best hotels I have been to, in India. What is different, you ask?! The view! It is to die for. I would literally spend my time gazing out from the window and the lawn. We even had breakfast with that beautiful view in front, it was heavenly.

The food and service is also amazing, the rooms are huge and comfortable. It was really cold there, especially during nights. They have centralized heating and also bed warmers below the mattress which was a huge relief!

Next day we went to Kufri. Started with Hip Hip Hurray Adventure Sports Resort in Kufri, it had some fun activities. I bought some jams and preserves from Fruit Bageecha Kiosk there. Post which we went to the Kufri peak and the only way to reach there was on mountain horses. The climb is steep and about 2kms but the road is full of mud and stones. And at last, we roamed a bit in Shimla from Mall Road to The Ridge and later came back to the hotel. On the way, we even went to Shivalik’s Factory and got a few more jams and plum juice, etc.

We had to leave early morning the next day as we had a 10.40am train from Kalka to Delhi and then flight at night.

It was a short trip but we pretty much covered everything that we had to. I would only wish a day more at Mashobra and at Mahasu House coz the property is mind blowing.

It was ranked above Club Mahindra and the 2nd best property in Mashobra and now I know why. If you plan to go to Shimla, I would highly recommend staying at Mahasu House coz it as an experience not to be missed. I truly felt I was in heaven and was very grateful that I could experience this in my lifetime.

You will see everything in my vlog, if you have any doubts or queries regarding Kasauli, Dharampur, Shimla or Mashobra, you can ask me in the comments below or even email me. I would be happy to help 🙂

OOTD: Floral Blue Romper

OOTD: Floral Blue Romper

Hi guys,

I haven’t done an OOTD since a long time, I still have 1-2 outfits from my December trip to be posted, so wanted to share them with you soonest.

This is one of my favourite outfits from the trip. I wore this blue romper at Havelock in Andamans, we went to the Elephant Islands where we tried a lot of different water sports.

I love these round mirror sunnies of mine on my beach vacations especially. I also wore this camel brown woolen kind flat top cap since it was sunny, again another favourite. I love flat top caps since they look much smarter than the usual.

And wore this ‘Cool’ letter necklace in gold and my flip flops.

Romper, Cap, Necklace, Sunnies: Romwe
Flip Flops: Only

I love the fact that this outfit was so comfortable and easy,it felt really good. I love rompers coz they are very loose and free sized, so one can wear it anytime and walk/sit comfortably without worrying. And you can wear it even when you have lost weight or put on weight or feel bloated, this works always and covers your belly too 😉

I hope you liked the outfit. Do let me know in the comments below 🙂 Also, what do you prefer wearing at beach destinations? It is mostly flowy dresses/shorts/rompers/culottes for me.
