April 2016 Fab Bag Review, Unboxing

Hi guys,

I got my April Fab Bag today, there was some address goof up, but thanks to my mom, I got it on time.

This month’s theme is ‘It’s A Spring Thing‘. I absolutely loved the pink textured bag, the quality is nice too.

  • Soultree Aloe & Rose Water Cleansing Milk – 30ml (Rs,295/- for 120ml)
  • Rene Furterer Curbicia Lightness Regulating Shampoo- 15ml (Rs.1320/- for 150ml)

  • Freshlook 1 Day Color Lens – Grey (1 pair) (Rs.900 for a pair of 5)

There was an option to select a full sized makeup product for this month’s bag and since I already had most of the stuff, I went for this Catrice Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Hey Macadamia Ahey.

There are 6 products in this month’s bag which is pretty good. I love the Catrice Lip pencil and the earrings. Also I haven’t worn colored lenses post I got my lasik done, so would definitely be trying these once in one of the makeup looks in the future.

Not very happy about the samples except the Soultree one, but the rest of the products makeup for it.

 

Freshlook Grey Lenses

The earrings, lip pencil and one pair of colored lenses totally make the bag worth the money, rest can be counted free 🙂 I do like this month’s bag and recommend it, unless you don’t wear lenses and don’t like the accessory. I am not sure which accessory is being sent to whom, so that depends on your luck 😀

Overall, a thumbs up from me.

So if you saw my post on the Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Gradation Swatches, you must have read that I picked the shade Mauve 1.

MRP: Rs.500/- for 1.25g

It comes in shaded twist up crayon form with the crayon on one side and the white sponge on the other side for blending or creating a color gradation or ombre. The pencils match to the shades and hence easily identifiable.

Pigmentation wise, these are quite pigmented and cover even the most pigmented lips in max 2 swipes. It has a super creamy and buttery formula and glides and blends easily.

The finish is matte but it is very moisturizing and not at all drying. It also feels super light on the lips, you won’t feel you have lipstick on. Staying power is ok, it stays for 4-5 hours without eating or drinking, but with whole meal it goes away from the centre and needs to be reapplied.

The full size & the shade Mauve 1

The shade Mauve 1 is not mauve but a rosy brown, more on the brown side with a hint of mauve.

Here is how it looks on me..

Overall I would say I am quite happy with this, but would have preferred a price of Rs.400/- and also the launch of more shades and the wines and burgundies too. I would recommend checking out this Mauve shade and the Coral and Orange.

Also this particular shade Mauve 1 is one of the perfect Kylie Jenner shades available in India.

August Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

August Fab Bag Unboxing & Review

I am back with another Fab Bag unboxing and review video.

Fab Bag is a monthly subscription bag where you get 4 (sometimes a 5th bonus) products.

Read my previous Fab Bag reviews:

August month of Fab Bag is ‘Cast A Spell’ edition, which is Fairy Tale and Princessy theme.

MRP: Rs.599/- for 1 month

This time it is a metallic pink textured bag, a pretty bag though not something you can carry out, but good for travel yet again. All the Fab Bags are very multi-purpose and perfect for travel.

Contents of my August Fab Bag:

  • Divo Eyelash Curler- Full size (Rs.125/-)
  • Fran Wilson MoodMatcher Green Lipstick- Full size (Rs.590/-)
  • Roots Professional Morocvita Oil- 5ml (Full size Rs.2000/- for 120ml)
  • Ital Veloce Body Mist Summer Snowflakes -12ml (Rs.499/- for 210ml)
  • Bioderma Photoderm MAT SPF30- 5ml x 2 (Rs.1330/- for 40ml)

Overall, I would say I am quite happy with the eyelash curler and the moodmatcher lipstick, though it is not obviously worth Rs.590/-. The Ital Veloce Body Mist smells amazing and will be in my handbag now onwards.

I love the Roots Morocvita oil too, 5ml serum should last some time and I have another similar 5ml sample. Not very happy with the Bioderma small sample of sunscreen, but I am glad that at least they have included two samples coz one would be a total waste. I like Bioderma as a brand though and happy with the products.

I prefer deluxe sized samples and full sized products in a subscription box/bag. Though its a good bag, I would have loved a bigger sample of the Morocvita oil and Bioderma sunscreen, or maybe some other deluxe sized samples.

I would still recommend this month’s bag for a good mix of products and also an eyelash curler! Do book your bag for August if you haven’t already.
